I think its great that we have all of these smoke shops accepting bitcoins but when are we going to have a good cigar shop. I would pay greatly for some good cigars that you cant find in the states. I understand the problem of the long shipping time and keeping them fresh but surely there is a way.

@OP: don't let me get you sidetracked from your business too much, but why does your website say you've been in business 5 years and yet your domain is only 6 months old? I'm sure there is a perfectly good explanation but as your 'About us' page is under construction, your site is an OpenCart page with a free theme (e.g. Not much invested into your business) and your registration information is hidden giving only a potentially bogus residential address in London, I can't say it nevessarily helps build any trust on the side of the consumer.

Keep up the good work (even though I detest smoking, I respect businesses that start from nothing and find success)!

I am now in the process of converting all my other (4 in total) websites to accepting Bitcoins as well (first one registered in 2006). The reason for having a couple of shops instead of just one is purely a SEO one (different keywords, different countries), in case you wonder. Same explanation goes for the "About Us" page - the website is brand new. Concerning the template for the OpenCart open-source cart, it is not free actually, and even if it was, it still looks nice in my opinion!

The demand is ok (~200-300 organic Google uniques / day / website, except this new one) - hoping to increase conversion with the new design though Legally wise, there is no law in Moldova that would interdict sending cigarettes through post, so I'm fine. Concerning the morality of smoking, I think it should be an informed decision of an adult person who is responsible for his own health and life. In the end, there are loads of people who enjoy smoking (including myself) and I think it is only fair to offer them the possibility to buy some cheap cigs over the internet.

The Facebook profile photo is fake because I used that fake account to create the Facebook group, that's all. Why would anyone expect I'm gonna put my picture there? As I mentioned earlier, the cigarette business is quite shady, so a bit of privacy doesn't hurt.

i have no freaking idea. It's a bloody sticker on the box (i only had a brief glance at the package because i did not have money to pay the fee) and i said on it US CUSTOMS NOTICE: and then alot of small text, and then $84.50 in bold writing at the bottom right of what appeard to be a recipt,

Then the postal worker handed me a notice (since i told her to take it away and hold it till i paid for it) wich stated "US DUTY FEE: CIGGARETTES $84.50"

Dude, you should've expected this they always check for cigarrettes.
You have to cleverly smuggle them in.. also now your address is a known smuggling address and everything sent to it will be opened. Get a po box next time with a street address.

Only way for Canadians to import cheap tobacco is buying $20 cartons of native smokes or clandestine importing from the US they open everything else, especially if from Asia/Eastern Europe

At Cigs.eu we understand the importance of quick delivery and we hasten to package and ship your order immediately after you have placed it. Therefore all orders placed before 12:00 PM (noon) will ship that same business day! Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will ship on Monday. Despite us sweating to deliver orders as soon as possible, the delivery can sometimes take up to 5-6 weeks from the day of the dispatch, as we are sending them via simple Registered Airmail post (FedEx and other couriers refuse delivering tobacco products unfortunately). The legalese on the website is actually pretty easy to read so I had read the T&C (has no mention of shipping times) and shipping policy. What I don't like is that they want me to wait 6 weeks when clearly something is wrong.

Its been over 3 weeks now and nothing, I will also state again I received my first order within 4 days and I'm waiting on 3 different shipments from cigs.eu at the moment and I can't see why all 3 of them would be delayed so much. It would be totally understandable if I had one package and something went wrong with the mail service, but something has gone wrong 3 times on 3 separate packages supposedly dispatched on 3 separate days which is why I feel something more nefarious may be going on.

I order a lot of stuff online and the longest I've waited for a package was 12 days and that was airmailed from China during Christmas. This is 3 separate packages air mailed from a much much closer country during a low mail volume period, I can't see what the big delay is which is why I feel something fishy is going on.

I'm going to wait until the 28th/05/2012 and then get back to cigs.eu as at this point I'm pretty sure nothing was sent. This is the last time I'll be ordering from them.

To be honest, that is a mystery for us as well! From what we have been told at the postal office, the Moldovan outward flow of letters and parcels is so tiny that they fly the plane only when it's full, to make it economically viable. I know this sounds ridiculous (and stone-age), haha, but unfortunately it looks like we can't do anything about it! .. All I want is some communication - sometimes these things get stopped by customs and sometimes they disappear. Fine, I can deal with that. They gave me a letter with the tracking number of the package and a note on why it was seized (A combination of no UK safety labels etc + high thujone content).

I think you are misunderstanding. The customs office says they want a receipt so they can charge me the tax. If I don't send them the receipt, or in this case my girlfriend, they'll just return it to the sender.
I can mail you a copy of the letter we got from the customs office. It's in portuguese, not sure if it will be of much use to you.

Yeah, UK customs have been a complete pain, so I can understand that! I've had a bunch of stuff on its way to me on valuations of like $30-50 and it's ALL been stopped lately.
Apparently it has something to do with the olympics, although I'm not sure why that would necessitate customs searches...

A couple of pages ago you said the first two cartons had been shipped - any chance you could ship the third carton from the order to a different address? I think it's possible my usual address now flags in the database given the amount of customs charges I've been subject to lately.

As for proof of seizure - my mail to my normal address is getting forwarded by Royal Mail to where I am currently, but I'll be back there briefly next week and I'll see if anything has not been passed on properly.

Solved the mystery of the missing order finally 

Two customs seizures in a row    Got the letters handed to me today by my neighbour. Have emailed hoki both letters, at the time of the order cigs.eu still had a full reship policy for the UK but obviously it'd be crazy to do so now so hopefully we can work something else out, guess I'll be taking a fairly big hit on this one but that's life

I ordered 1 box of Marlboro Gold about a week ago, I've not received it yet and I'm not expecting it to come in this time range, that's not what I'm here to say.

Check your invoices.  My invoice has been totalled incorrectly, and an amount equal to the total of my incorrectly totalled invoice PLUS £1 was charged to my account.  Detailed below.

Do you have an explanation for this Hoki?  Even with these additions the cigarettes are still cheap, but this shows possibly massive incompetence and a untrustworthy business.

It was £21.55 for the cigs and then £7.15 for postage, in my maths, and the same maths used by the entire world, that equals £28.70.  It was totalled to £28.71?

Then, it was £29.71 that was removed from my account.

You may say its only a 1p miscalculation and a unaccounted £1.01 overcharge, however, to me atleast, it seems it's small enough to go unnoticed by most, if he generates a high volume or customers, this extra revenue will amount to a large amount.
