Going 4-2 on one game is meaningless information. Lots of bets on baseball have different odds. An accurate, useful record on all betting (especially baseball) will involve exact bets including odds so we can tell if you make money or not.

Any explanations for picks??

Not sure I want to give away too many trade secrets. But this is more against the POOR Brewers starting pitching. You can research Milwaukee scores n such And throw in arguably the worst bullpen and you have multiple chances to go over that 4.5. So even if the starter is decent(which is not often) the Bullpen can blow up also. Thats gives a pretty good % chance of Reds over 4.5.

Although some might have won or tied Sundays game I am marking it as a loss so I am 4-2 on this site. This is just one small example of how I research. The Milwaukee Brewers have let up 4+ runs in 25 games in a row. AND only 4 of those games did they let up exactly 4. In 18 of their last 21 they have let up 5+. Now some stats mean a lot while others do not. As you research you see their starters have the WORST era in baseball. Then you look to the bullpen where they have consistently been ranked 28-30 all year. Yesterday they let up no runs for the last 5 innings which was super rare. So Today Peralta who has been awful all year and his worst outing was last game. They play Miami who is scoring and playing well despite the last 2 days they lost. Ok Today 5/21 we have an EVEN Money pick. Seattle has their ACE going against a poor team. Cincy has an avg-poor pitcher who at best will go 5-6 innings and let up 3 runs. Seattle is a top 10 offense. Cincy has the absolute WORST Bullpen in the Majors. Felix Hernandez is Seattles pitcher and should mow down the Reds while Seattles offense should put a bunch of runs. Thats how I read it and Seattle is a big Favorite. I do not think this game will be close so I will take SEATTLE-1.5 at EVEN MONEY . First I would love to know the source lol. Believe it or not I have 9 plays but Tigers/Phillies are not involved in any. Also on FREEBIE I do not go past -135(at time I bet it)... And although Verlander is pitching well i wont ever go -200. I am not going to risk 2 bets just to win one. Just like I avoided Dodgers-360 on Monday. I just never give -200 so Tiger game was eliminated

Ok todays game is an afternoone game AND Plus Money. On principle alone I have to take this game as my Freebie. They Royals are starting to play good baseball. Twins have have lost 17 of 20. Royals are a Playoff/world series contender. I undertsand KC pitcher might only go 5-6 innings. he has pitched fairly well and the Royals bullpen is Top notch. Twins have a decent pitcher but I believe he wont go past 6 innings. The Twins bullpen is very poor so if its a close game I think the Royals can get it done. Value is in KC as an underdog. the Twins can compete here and trip me up today BUT I am going with KC ROYALS to WIN

One thing I will never do when Betting baseball is take the HOME team and give 1.5 runs. With only 8 at bets I dont believe its very smart.

Interesting theory considering both home teams that have won so far today won by more than 1.5

That kind of thinking makes me question your capabilities. You don't need to be an expert to know that the possibility of only 8 times up and the times when a walk off hit that would score multiple runs in the 8th but only scores 1 at the end of the game is built into the juice. But that doesn't mean you should never do it.

OK I take one thing back NOTHING is an absolute never do I admit that. I think you have a BETTER % chance to have your team up by 1 thru 5 full at bats than win by 2 with 8 at bats. All we are doing is trying to get rid of the heavy juice there. 8 at bats vs 9 at bats I just wouldnt do cuz if I think they will win by a lot why wouldnt they be up 1 thru 5 Plus that takes the bullpen out of the picture like when degrom led 5-1 in 8th few days ago and bullpen coughs it up and mets win by 1. Look at lines Thursday. team totals have smaller Juice at least the ones I go with. I mean some times a team like the red sox -175 to win and ay think they canreally hit the pitcher and pen And team total is something like 5 at -120 Take the sox over instead on the game knowing their pitching isnt the greatest. Bring lines to show me what your talking about and I will do the same Thursday... BUT these games have angles that we can take advantage of. I will give ya my double bet ob 5 inn line + total on 5 inn when it matches right yer golden to go 2-0 BUT not when the over is -150 when its like -115. All lines are not the same I look forward to seeing these lines that have more juice than the Huge fave line to win the whole game. Maybe we are on 2 different type of lines

-200 isn't necessarily more juice than -175, juice is the extra that they take out, not necessarily the fact they pay less on a particular bet.

You need to look at both sides of the bet to figure out what the actual juice is, and they take out more on the 5 innings bets.

People automatically think -175 is "better" than -200 so they charge you extra and you don't even realize it.

Pinnacle has Colorodo -178 for both 5 innings and the whole game, yet the five innings line has 2.49% juice and the full game has 1.91%.

Ok I think i see our breakdown in communication cuz at Bookmaker Colo -180 BUT 5 inning line at -.5 its -125.  When I talk about 5 inning lines I am talking about my team favored by half a run. You are still looking at it wrong. -125 is not automatically better than -180.

-125 gets you a better PAYOUT than -180, but that's because it's about 10% harder to win that bet. You are not paying less JUICE (the extra they take off) because they charge extra juice on 1/2 game bets because people don't realize this.

I get what your saying with all things being equal. I would not risk -200 thru a game BUT I would risk -120 thru 5 BUT it all depends on situation. There are 40 angles per game at least. When you have your Pitcher who wont let 2 runs and you know you will get at least 2 from your team then I like the -120. I get really selective on 5 innings though. After I share my FREE pick of the day I will tell you what I do when it all comes together on 5 inning lines. As I look at my records I can honestly say I dont really bet 5 inning lines much at all. When I did it was cuz opposing pitcher let up 2+ thru 5 every time while my guy thru his starts let up 1 run thru his 40 innings(first five stats). Now i had a huge edge and less juice and no bullpen. But I do combos some 5 innings I will explain little later today

Today I look for MORE EXPLOSIONS so I am taking BOSTON/BALTIMORE OVER 9.5

Implied probability I understand for a blind line bettor. See when I find something I like then its above the implied probability. I will take MY read on the game. Also I was also saying I like 5 innings -.5 BETTER than my team -1.5 cuz my team only get 8 at bats

Ok let me put it like this. AFTER I do my homework I think it is worth it on situations to risk same amount of money to win more. In those situations I think I have a chance to make more money that way. Especially when I compare -.5 thru 5 innings VS -1.5 with only 8 at bats. The are no absolutes of course. SOMETIMES I like a Team Total over the side also. That fits with redsox games to me. When I had Chris Sale when he was hot and those #s he was putting up VS Pineda(earlier in this thread I had this as Freebie and explained why) I Loved him at -.5. So I took the bullpen out of the equation Got him at -115 and YOUR implied math had that at 56+%. SO my Homework gave me a way better % then that in my opinion. My risk of money was less and thought THAT in THAT PARTICULAR GAME was way better odds then giving -180 where the bullpen could blow it (like they did inKC). There are situations where I can win more money. Baseball for me is SOOOO SITUATIONAL

This angle involves finding a slight to average underdog. During your research you find out this dog can hit this pitcher. So, you have 2 bets to make where the chances of going 2-0 far outweigh the chances of going 0-2. You take the underdog +.5 and take the over 3.5 runs thru the 5 innings. There are only 4 ways to go 0-2 and that’s if your team trails after 5 innings, 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 3-0. So, when you see this run-line and total, you research, it all comes together for the perfect storm. RESEARCH ALWAYS THE KEY

One thing I really try to do in baseball is winning multiple bets when my research points me there. For example say you have Redsox vs Tigers. They Total on the game is 8.5. You know you have 2 good hitting teams. the game is in Boston so you know its a hitter friendly ball park. You then look at the history of these teams PLAYERS vs opposing pitcher... I need to take a timeout here. Do not get fooled about how a TEAM does against a Pitcher. See you might see a Pitcher that is 2-6 era 6.22 against the tigers lets say. But as you look deeper you see the pitcher has only faced a couple hitters and has actually had success. This happens cuz there is so much player movement in BASEBALL. Back to our example you see the pitchers struggle against the hitters in the line up and iy works both ways. Now Most people would say Take the over8.5 and get a win. I swould say the research shows me it will go over 8.5. BUT I am so confident in lots of runs I take Team Total Redsox goes over .. TT for Tigers will go over. These pitchers are bad so take the 5 inning run line over. Take over 28 RHE .. And Redsox highest scoring 1st inning team so bet YES run scored on 1st. So thats 6 possible bets you can win on 1 game. Its way easier to go 6-0 in one game than win 6 separate games. The thing is you can still go 4-2 if your partially right. Chances are high that at least 1 pitcher will get blown up. Even if 1 pitches OK you win 4-5. There have been a few times on this site I give a Freebie on a total but I actually have 3-4 bets on that game off a total. Not all the time but a couple times I have. Does that make sense??

I notice that chicago cubs are hard to predict now a days with their game play.
I lost some good amount in a 2 parlays when they lost so not betting on them again. Just not consistent enough to bet on any money on.
The Chicago White sox on the other hand  ;)

Won a lot with the Royals over the Whitesox few days in a row. I wouldnt trust the whitesox. The Problem with Betting on the CUBS is they are such a big favorite most the time. I am 1-0 betting on them this year and that was over the 19 year old Dodger pitcher and was only -160.. But if you want the CUBS to lose ya better keep betting on them lol. For a team thats not consistent 38-15 while winning 9 of their last 10 seems pretty consistent..

Just a question, for predicting over/under runs in baseball, do you look at total score for previous games for both teams?

not really BUT you can see if they are hitting the ball But most of it comes to Pitching and how That line up has done againstthat pitcher. also have those starters let up a good number of runs consistently. There is a lot that goes into it. A lot comes down to Starting pitching and some factors for how bad the Bullpen is. Looking at the previous game only doesnt really help a lot cuz it alwys starts with current days Pitcher. Every once in a while to perfect Mix comes together where you LOVE the Over and thenyou add both team totals to go over and ADD 5 inning run total over. so in 1 game you can go 4-0 or 5-0 and if yer just partially right still go 3-1. Its easier to go 4-0 in one game than 4-0 in 4 separate games
