I'm planning on getting a fraction of a bitcoin. Maybe about 1/4 or 1/8 BTC just to fill my wallet with something. Is now a good time to do so?

With all honesty it is hard to tell. Less than month ago bitcoin was worth around $450 now it is worth $570+.

And here lies the problem. Current price will be either new stable price and we won't see any decline and from now on BTC price in anticipation of halving will go only up

or

market will try to correct itself and we will see bitcoin price reverse to around $470.

Do not invest more than you are willing to lose...that being said...it couldn't hurt

If your wallet doesn't have any bitcoin then it is the right time to buy. Buy before the halving starts because many people believe that its value might double after the halving. Buy now while the price is low then sell it after the halving when the price is high.

I personally consider anytime before the halving block reward (in a month) is a good time to buy. so It's really recommended to buy now but nothing is guaranteed of course .. just like any other investement .
Note that Bitcoin is a long term investement so If you are looking for a simple quick profit then it's probably not the best thing to do.

There is a lot of speculation going on right now and it only makes sense that any increase in value associated with the halving is already built into the coin. In theory it should hover around this point until the next halving, if that is really driving the high value right now. It really is a gamble, but it is more likely to dip back down in a correction move than continue to rise even more.

honestly i never hear aboutbitcoin fraction,people keep saying bitcoin with decimal,like 0.01BTC or 1/4 bitcoin mean 0.25BTC. and i think number is better than fraction,little bit weird to hear about bitcoin fraction. but anything you called it,its always good for you to buy bitcoin for now,hold it until halving and wait for your profit there.

If you've decided to fill your wallet few weeks back you could have got a big profit by now. Now too its good to buy if you can afford because halving might give a better profit.

If you are planning to have bitcoin only after seeing the recent 100$ jump in the price recently, than i will suggest you not to hope same in coming few weeks and their is always a possibility of dump in price. But if you are planning to buy and hold for longer period than yes its better price if you like to hold bitcoin for atleast a year.

all of the time is the good time to get bitcoin but if you are buying bitcoin for me this is not a good time because the price of bitcoin now are to high, but you will decide you buy it and keep it for a long time to gain profit.

yeah i think it is still a good time to buy bitcoin the price went up but it didn't come down. so despite the expectation for a backtrack (like a small decline about 4-5 usd going down) it is still around $570 so get in now before it starts going up again.

It's hard to tell because prices are changing from 460$ to 580$, so I don't know about that, but i still recommend doing that because prices are not going down they are still rising up

So I say fill in your wallet before prices are starts going up again, well it's not 100% chance for prices to raise up but I recommend you to do it, but it is still your choice to either buy bitcoins or not, this is only my opinion

You are already a full member why is it that you ask this only now,you should know two months ago that Bitcoin price will increase and it is now increasing,but it's not yet late to get some but better if you can get 1 bitcoin if you can afford..

actually i think that now you're and too late for that, and it is good time to do that, too late because you could buy cheap bitcoins one month ago now they are more expensive than they was

but good time is because many reasons too, first is that price will rise in near future for sure, so you will have bitcoins worth more than now, others are that bitcoin is more popular so you can use it more

Its really hard to tell this, when is right time to get some bitcoin or not.
If you see the bitcoin average price graph you can see Less than a month ago bitcoin price was around $420 now it is worth $576. People believe that the value might cross $600+ .

If your wallet doesn't have any bitcoin then it is the right time to buy.

If you were to get some Bitcoins, it would be best to do it before the halving because the price might increase once this happens. But you should be very careful in the amount of money you put into Bitcoin, since the same is highly volatile and it may end up going back to the $450 mark once the market corrects itself. Just invest what you can afford to lose.  ;)

No one can tell you. Having said that the price is way steadier than I was expecting after such a good rise. What is gonna be interesting is what happens after the halving. Mining might go a little haywire and the year's major hype will have been and gone. You could buy a little of the amount you want every week and even those peaks and troughs out.

Since halving is still on its way, it can be a good time to buy coins and hold them till July. After halving, you can sell those coins and buy at a lower rate (it may drop due to panic sellers). I've been holding since April and am already in profit with the price increasing by almost $180.

You got 30 days before prices go higher then it is assuming the prehalving price goes up even further.

2 months back it was $430 so asking if now is the right time - there is no right time. Its a matter of when you`ll buy the coin before you pay more premium as you keep delaying the action to buy.

all depend on what you will do with these fraction of BTC, if it is to sell them later with a higher price that the buying price I suggest you wait some time when the price is low ($350 / $450).
if it's just like you said to fill your wallet with something; you can buy at any time or you can collecte them from faucet or with signatur campaign as your rank is full member you can collect about +0.006BTC a week.

I suggest that you wait a little longer for a drop in price. It's had a big increase over the last couple of months but with the upcoming halving, it's hard to tell if the increase is already built in.

Yeah definitely. It wouldn't cost you a whole lot and you'll probably profit from it in the long term. With the halving coming up it's always a good idea to get some more bitcoins, as much as possible.

I'd suggest getting more than a quarter of a coin, but it's up to you.

If you don't care for the price and i will say Yes! and even though you buy your bitcoin in a high price you can still make a profit by holding it for the incoming bitcoin halving event on the month of july, im sure that after halving the price of the bitcoin will be higher than the price now.

it is never a good time to buy bitcoin if you are thinking like this with a lot of doubts. you should make your decision fast and stick to your decisions and most importantly accept the consequences of your decision (good or bad).
nobody can you if it is a good time or bad, 1/8 bitcoin is about $70 so take the risk or lower that amount.

IMO he is  planning on getting a fraction of a bitcoin  .25 or 0.125  so he should get them as soon as possible, given the current circumstances.

The time is okay but I must say if you where earlier the profit you could have made was a lot bigger of course.

The time is still ok to get in. I'm expecting a slight sell off and price will be stable a few days and then it will keep going up until halving. I'm not sure what will happen for halving though.

Now when in the next month is halving as we are seeing everyday a big increase in the value of bitcoin so you do not have to fear about buying it now as everyday you will get some profit in bitcoin with every step towards halving.

If if was just the halving, i would tell you to hold back, but the current price increase seems to come from chinese who try to safeguard their wealth from another devaluation.
If that's the case, we will the price roar to 800 before the halving...

yes everyone should have to buy some amount of bitcoin in order to gt some profit in the coming future with the halving when the price will increase to a highest value.

Currently it is not good time to buy BTC, because price is going up. Today it is ~ 699 USD, two weeks ago it was around 550 USD. So you must wait, untill price will be stable.  ;)

if you want to earn coins right now you have to get them for free i dont think it is very useful to buy some coins right now because the price is really high.

The time is okay but there was a better time indeed, the price right now is high compared with a couple months ago.
I would recommend you to wait a little bit till it lowers a bit hopefully.

You are right about this, I think you can also do it right now but its not the best moment you could picked out of this year to be honest.

I would not even do it these days because the price is rising now but also will go down for a bit and I think that is a good time to buy your bitcoins.

My best suggestion is to watch the market and learn. It's often hard to tell exactly what is going on, but once in a while the market is crystal clear. It is at those times, that you buy. Have a rule, if you are going to invest then make yourself a target % to reach in profit before you sell, make yourself a limit in how much you are willing to lose before you liquidate as well. If the price is too high right now, wait for a drastic drop and buy on the bounce back up. It takes lots of patience and lots of observation to know when to pull the trigger. As far as "is now a good time" Personally, I don't think now is a good time... why? Because the halving is coming. But the truth is, it could go either way, and it has seemed pretty stable just under 700$ for the last 2-3 days. Good luck either way!

As I see the Yobit signature campaign in your signature area, I think you have made a decision that now is the good time to get some bitcoins.  Getting bitcoins doesnt necessarily means you  have to buy it. :D  You can also work for it.  And that Signature you are wearing, seems you are already working for it.   Anyway, if buying involves, i can say the best is if you badly need it, buy it but if you can just wait for sometime and it isn't that important then  you can wait till the price of BTC drop. When well the price drop, that i don't know  :D

I thik the answer for this is much simple, 'yes buy bitcoin and there is no any risk' as now there is no any risk in buying bitcoin and everyone will get a double amount of bitcoin value in the coming month, if he buy it now which is at about $680 the in the halving he will be able to sell them at more than $1000, so will get a bigger value.

Just wait for a while BTC will decrease in price soon after halving thats when you buy

well since 0,25 or even less of bitcoin is not that much,  i don't think that you will be able to get profit from this halving's price rise so now it's not best time to buy

wait few weeks or even month and when price will fall, buy bitcoins then, because if you buy for smaller price you will save some of your money so you can buy more bitcoins

Its the best time to buy bitcoins, dont wait for tomorrow. Everyday as halving gets near bitcoin increases its value. Dont wait after halving since btc will possibly go down. You must buy now and sell a week before the halving.

Buying now is not really good but I think its still worth it, if you buy them now you still can make nice profits with the bitcoin.
If you are lucky the profits will be nice depending on the halving of course.

Yes we need to observe before the halving like 1 week or 2 because i'm sure that many users will also do the same that they will sell their coins if the bitcoin reached $900-1k per piece.

It is sure that in the halving and after that the price will increase to a much higher value that everyone will see their coins double up, so why not buy now and be lucky like all other people who have already got a bigger profit in the last few month and are going to increase their wealth much more in the coming few months.

Nowadays every time can be good time to buy bitcoin as much as possible but not bad for buying it as well, as from a few months the price of bitcoin is increasing and the developers’ speculation are telling us that the price of bitcoin will increase to a much higher value.

currently what will happen in the market is just speculation, and so my suggestion is that you don't invest more than you're willing to lose, as to avoid committing to something that may go wrong, as this is all educated assumption
Looking at the current market there are two things that could happen, the bitcoin value could become stable, or the market could attempt to rectify itself, and the bitcoin price will reverse to around $470, my advice, look at the trends, buy when it appears low and so you will make money if the trend increases

I think you can do it right now but I would not really recommend you to do this because of the price that is now high and I think it will lower a bit before the halving honestly.

i think you must be careful. the rate is now very high. i think  you should be careful the market can take a reverse acceleration. i think you should wait a little now. other wise you will ensure a big lose.

I think even though the price is very high now we can still make a profit because there is no sign that the price of the bitcoin will crashed down. In fact the price of bitcoin now is a little bit stable and a good sign that it will increase more after halving :).

Definitely. In my opinion it's always a good time to get into bitcoin, whether you buy a large amount or small amount. It's good to experiment with some real bitcoins instead of dust.

Well as mentioned bitcoin buying is good even now because ongoing price increase will probably give good profit. In my opinion one can at least get a profit of $20 if bought now.

Has the OP actually purchased the btc form the date he posted till date he would have being in profit only. Also in coming time it seems to rise may be in the name of halving or till the time china starts selling and the crash will be on the cards. Lets wait and watch.

I think he do not have to wait, and have to buy bitcoin as soon as possible as with each day we are seeing a big increase in the price and this increase will continue for a few months more or maybe it continue till the end of the year.

if you want to buy bitcoin i think it is still time to buy bitcoin because the price has fall down becasue of the hacking news about ultcoin and some other crypto currency. which create panic but this down fall is for the time being and the price will increase may be exceed 800 in next few days so i think its the best time to invest money.

As what the motto says, 'If not now, when?"  I think, if you are planning to hold your Bitcoin in a long run, maybe a year or 2, now is the best time to buy it.  Even if it is a bit expensive at this point, after 2 or 3 years Bitcoin might be 2x or 3x higher than what it is now.  And another thing if you want to get in the train, there is no other way but buying a ticket(bitcoin). 

I also have the idea that in the coming week we will be happy with the price of bitcoin at $800, as now people once again started to buy bitcoin and also they know that the halving will push up the price of bitcoin to break the record of 2013.

Yup. This is the exact time I bought my bitcoins. I bought them at around $550.


I really doubt this would happen in the coming days. The prices are stabilizing at around 600-700 range based on what I see. All of it could change after halving though.

if you have bought bitcoin when you asked this question you could have had a very nice amount of profit.

At the time when Ethereum and DAO was hacked, only the price of Ethereum and DAO dropped to the bottom and at that time the price of bitcoin was much higher and was increasing more higher but after bitcoin exchange hack we saw that crash.

i think this is the most appropriate time to buy bitcoin. the rates have fall down unexpectedly. but it is a temporary downfall. it will boost very soon. because halving is now not too far. and the people are still holding their bitcion and not ready to sell them so i think this is still the best time to by bitcoins and hold them for price increase.

The time is not the best but there are some possibilities to do it without any doubts.
It still has a great future so if you are doing it you will now still not regret it and make some nice profits also.

We can still make a lot of profit if we buy bitcoin now because the price is continue rising due to the incoming bitcoin halving event but if you want some serious profits you can hold your bitcoin for a long term investment and i'm sure that it is one of the safest method to make good profits without doing anything ;D.

The bitcoin price has fallen not because of the hack news of altcoin ( ethereum) but it was because of the hack of bitfinex. And the other thing is yes it is a time to buy it was jut an opportunity for those who wanted to buy at lower price.

If you mean the word ‘getting’ by earning then my answer is yes but if you are planning to buy bitcoins then I would say, do it with defensive method.

You might have heard the concept of systematic investment plan, where you buy small amounts of bitcoin during specific intervals of time.

So suppose you want to buy 1 bitcoin then you should buy 1/12 bitcoins each month, 1/52 bitcoins each week or 1/30 bitcoins each day as per your convenience. This method make sure that you get your bitcoins at average price of that period.

i think you can buy bitcoin and its right time to buy bitcoin because the price of bitcoin is very good for buy and there is a lot of people buying bitcoin and then hold it for high price because they surely know that price of bitcoin will be soon go to higher more in the near future.

first of all, it should take a long time to go up. if price went up overnight from 0 to $1000 that would have meant a pump and dump and that will always fall back down so fast.
but also the rise did not take years. it has been growing with a nice pace. from last year to this year price has gone up $400+ which is a good rise.

yeah right now is very good time to buy bitcoin  price is not too high yet and it has not even reached 10% of its potential IMO. So we should be waiting longer and longer for it to rise and get as many bitcoin as we can in the meanwhile. So the answer is yes now is a good time just dont buy if its like 700+ already cause those are drop moments.

Yeah price increases slightly so this symbolise that bitcoin is going to start stable price rise in upcoming months. We can buy some bitcoins now and you can sell it on near Christmas time. Every year price is getting increase from that average to peak on that time. Utilise and win it.

Today I saw once again the price of bitcoin started to increase and i hope that the price of bitcoin will increase more so if you or any other person want to buy then they should have to buy now as much as they can so that you get benefited with the coming benefit of rising price.

I guess today's a good time to do so. If you're waiting for something like 400-500$ range, you'll be waiting forever. We just got recovered from Bitfinex hack. The price increase was postponed because of that, I think the price pump will continue anytime soon. If not, it's okay, it'll eventually rise. We settled around 560$, then it increased and now we're settled around 610$. See the pattern. We might be pumping soon.

Right now is not the best time we won't know what happens next it's floating around 600 and we have to wait for the next move if it's going up or down.
If you can predict that then you can answer your question else you'll have to wait a bit.

There is nothing wrong at all to buy bitcoin now. The way I see it, the current price is not bad and if at all it will drop, you will hold on it until it raises again. There is risk in everything and the more the risk, the more the returns. What if you wait for the price to fall and then it raises, will you still buy?

I guess now's a good time to do so. Bitcoin will always rise over time. If you don't buy right now and in the next day it pumped, then you surely just lost your profit. When somebody's asking me when should he invest in Bitcoin, I always answer "right now" unless we're at the peak of the price pump.

Even if you haven't bought bitcoin yet you can start and investing in bitcoin as much as you can but if you are afraid you can start with small amounts and increasing the volume later.

this the answer that people have been giving in this topic even from the start time of this topic back inJ une 09 and if OP didn't take the initiative to buy until now, i don't think he will ever do that and he will continue missing out on buying and profiting for the rest of his life.

Any time is a good time to buy into Bitcoin, unless it's just being pumped like right before the Mt.Gox fiasco.

Well I wont call now a good time but Ill call it an okay time. Prices are being unpredictable and anything could happen but you might actually get lucky and it will shoot up to lets say 700.
But not sure though it might just drop further and back into the 500s again we will have to see.

Now might not be the best time to do so. The prices went up about a week ago but now they are aiming more downwards then upwards.
If i were you I'd wait a bit longer and see where this is going before deciding on anything actually.

No, almost every day must be a right time to buy Bitcoins. I like to suggest to act are right now. Do not delay. From my own experience I am saying if you are delaying your decision of buying, you might end up regretting for not acting quickly.

Over night, you may see bitcoin prices will be testing $800 or $900 price levels, at that time if you do not buy right now, only regretting is the option you will be having.

Since the price is stable right now, you could buy some, but don't be surprised if the price drops some. You could buy in under $600 if you wait a little.

And I sure without talking about this, OP is already having his answer and just in my logic if the op is can visiting this site and assuming he already got all of the knowledge about bitcoin in here.

True since this thread is already several months old already which I assume too that op might get the answer or even he realize to himself and able to buy Bitcoin already. For me anytime is a good time to buy but if you wait for a target buying price it would be possible since Bitcoin price is unpredictable.

Correct, we could buy anytime because Bitcoin price does actually move anytime and you are right Bitcoin price as of now is quite stable and buying on the current price would not be bad at all because as we all know that it would surely rise up.

its a good idea sir. i think it would be good if we split our fund into few parts, like we buy at $608, $603 and last in $595 so there will be a significant different amount of bitcoin we bought.

I think OP has already made his decision as this thread is more than a month old, and he had the option of buying when bitcoin was less than $600... the price has  since risen.

That´s right, but even though there has not been large variation in price  he was thinking of getting only a fraction of it, so probably this would not have  represented a significant savings talking about this period.

I think you just want to fulfill your wallet, and also i think you have no problem if you buy the bitcoin in a high price, but still bitcoin is not a high price, now you can buy it and fill your wallet, and also hold it because recently bitcoin would be started to grow.

I think right now is good moment to buy bitcoin, with the Brexit and other events bringing political instability, I think bitcoin could reach 800+ at New Year’s Eve.

I also heard that in this year last few month bitcoin might be grow at $700 to $800. So if it will be possible than definitely it is a good time to buy the bitcoins, if anyone like to buy it. Because now bitcoin is slowing going up and i think it has chances that bitcoin will be cross $750. 

Now is still the good time to buy some bitcoin. It does not move much so maybe next month it will change. I am adding up some more bitcoin in my account thinking that way. I dont want to be late if ever there will be changes and I think it will going higher.

If you want to earn bitcoins you should trade but what you dont need to do is buying them right now because the price of the bitcoin is really high and non profitable for buying.

I agree with your opinion and usualy after halving block happening bitcoin's price will going down and  we saw last halving block, bitcoin's price went down at November. In my prediction it will happen again on November 2016 too.

Now is a okay time at most. I can't really call it a good time to purchase bitcoin cause prices are swinging and volatile and you wouldn't want to buy in that case.

yes indeed, today the price of bitcoin is too expensive, but i only hope that if bitcoin price is really get down, the rate is not fall into deep down at least it would be stay at range $550-$575 so we can make little profit. but who knows about the future, better we see what will going on in the future.

If you are buying on the thought of stability. Yes, now would be a good time to buy, but you never know what Bitcoin is going to do. A new exchange might come out tomorrow and the price will shoot up $100. Maybe Bitfinex will crash tomorrow and the price will drop to $420. You never know, If I was you, yea I'd buy some coin.

I think if you buy today and hold them for a short period of time, chances are bigger that you will gain a small profit rather than a big loss

as most of the people are expecting that the price of bitcoin is still trading in a low price and they are hoping that very soon the price of bitcoin will increase and will reach to a very high level may be cross the all time high price of bitcoin there for i think it will be a good decision to buy bitcoin.

to me although the price of bitcoin is now trading in a very very high price, but still i can say that it is the best time to invest as still there too much potential in the price of bitcoin and it can really reach to historical high price in next few months therefore still it is good time to buy it and hold it for the price increase.

Yes, in my opinion it's always time to buy BTCs. The price is high now, but it will increase more yet. So don't worry about it. Who bought BTCs some time ago, already made a very good profit now and who buys BTCs now will make a really nice profit in a while.

in about one or one half hours ago, the price is going down, but now the price is up again. so better we wait for next down for the price so we can buy bitcoin and hold it for up price. but buying bitcoin now is really a good time, no matter the trend is going down, but there is alwalys going up for sure.

Buying now is probably okay as long as you plan to hold it long term. But if you want a short term profit, you may be better off waiting for a drop in price since we are now at around $760 per Bitcoin after a recent increase.

If you don't have any bitcoins your wallet just get some coin for you and fill your wallet, but don't buy bitcoin more which you cannot afford because nobody don't know how the price will be in next hour, as per now the price is good and may be many people are predicting definitely bitcoin price will increase.

Current prices are quite on the higher side if you ask me, but if you don't have any coins, and don't want to wait for the price to go down, then you can buy yourself some coins.

However, it's wise to just use like 10-25% of the money that you can freely use for investment purposes. The other part of the money can be used in case the price happens to go down.

If the price goes up, you'll benefit since you already have a certain amount of coins, and when the price goes down, you'll benefit by buying all the way down and lower your average buying price.

You will benefit from the price going in any direction. That's how you as a smart trader/investor should approach the current volatility. Making profits is the only thing that counts.

i say it depends on what you are planning to get out of investing in bitcoin. some people want to trade it daily or even in short term by buying low and selling when there is  a flash rise and what you said works for them.

but if you want to become a bitcoin hodler like me what you described doesn't matter much you should buy at once and hodl it long term. and of course it is best if you could buy in a dip because it simply means more profit but as a long term hodler and someone who can't spend time watching the market and keeping coins in hot wallet or money at hand it becomes tough to buy in dips.

But I'm also sure that the price in the next hour wouldn't have any significant difference for you to lose a lot of money or make your investment go to waste, assuming that you don't hold thousands of bitcoins like most of us. The price of bitcoin would decrease in just a matter of an hour or a day. It would take a week or so for the price of bitcoin to increase significant enough to make us lose money. People wouldn't let their investment just die like that.

I've seen Bitcoin going to 31 US$ and fall like a stone back to 2 US$.  I've seen Bitcoin rising to 266 US$ and falling back like a stone to 70 US$.  I've seen it in November 2011 2013 rising to unbelievable 1250 US$ and decline over 1.5 years back to 200 US$ … And now again 800 US$.  I'd love to see Bitcoin breaking the 1000 US$ threshold again.  And the circustumstances are almost perfect -- all that financial industry bullshitbingoing about blockchain development, people investing in Bitcoin, Trump, China, etc., etc.  But … from past I know, that sometimes it's enough to get one scandal being written in a major (online) newspaper to again let the Bitcoin price crash.

That's not a right decision to buy on the start of 2017, because  by year end price increase happens. So buying now really profits better by the falling days and months as the price is found to be in the increasing trend.

But I do see some people are waiting for new year to arrive so that they will be having comparatively low prices for bitcoin to buy some. But my inner thoughts are not supporting it as bitcoin will be surging up toward $1000 at any times and may not test back current price levels for ever.

Bitcoin is a long term investment and not a short term. The market might be going crazy high right now but it will not always be like that. People say that you shouldn't chase markets like this but it's still your decision. You can make profit if the price increase even more but I don't necessarily recommend doing so since it's more inclined to go down anytime soon.

I think the good time to buy bitcoins is when the market isn't moving that much, when there's no major price increase and no major price decrease going on. Just like when we were at $760 range. i think it is depending on your interest of investment, either you are interested in long term investment or short term investment, if you are going for short term investment then it is a little risky as the price is already trading in high price. but if you going for long term investment then you can really make a good profit and it is safe investment then.

Short term investing is a risky like you said because the price now is climbed to a high price and it can dump for a lower price anytime. Even though long term investment is considered risky because risk is always there even though it is for long term or not. $800 - $900 is a high risk investment since we can't predict the future and thinking that the price will continue to reach higher and higher seems impossible because bitcoin is on the market and not all of us have the same mindset in using or investing bitcoin.

As most of the time, there is no right answer for this, especially with regard to cryptocurrencies. In this market you have to work with probabilities. If you ask me, I think there are good chances that the price may drop a little more, maybe below USD 950, but I don't think it will touch the USD 900. Then I think there are good chances of a higher price increase.

$900 is far from a save price mark. As easy as the price went up lately, that easy is it also to see the price go back down to where we started.

At this point I don't even know if the $800 will hold at the time it gets tested. Mainly because of the fact that there isn't real buy support.

Buy support that will be visible by the time the price is about to go down, will simply get pulled by bots as soon as the price is nearly touching them.

I will also support your answer mate, this is not the right time to buy bitcoin, I think for this new year the bitcoin price may go 1000$ plus. When this thread was opened (seven months ago) the price was below $600 and it was undoubtedly a good time to buy more coins. But at this time I am not so sure that it could be a good idea, because we are closer of the record high and at this point none can affirm with certainty what will happen next.

I still believe the price will not stop at this level, it could grow more and might surpass the all time high before it will fall back a little bit. I doubt that when the price just reached the highest point or even surpasses it then the demand might be decreasing due to expensive price and the buyers could be worried to invest into bitcoin because when the price just really high then it's also vulnerable to instant dumping because of panic selling, once someone sell at mass amount then people will following it, and i think that people will have plan to sell it at its highest point

That's probably what was somebody that bought at the peak of $1200 range back then was thinking. He bought coins thinking that he will be able to sell it for a higher price and he just have to short trade it. It turns out, that was the peak. You don't want to chase an increasing market because you might end up buying in the peak as well. I would recommend waiting for a little while and see what's going on in the bitcoin market and then look for other's opinion in the speculation board rather than saying "today is good time to buy and tomorrow too."

Thats the hardest part on making some decision regarding on buying bitcoin because we wont know if we are on the peak or on the bottom because no one could able to guess the movement of bitcoins price and as you mentioned to those people who bought $1200 price they would definitely suffer losses when bitcoin crashes down its price back.

I think so too because the price is near the all time high and I'm not sure which way it's going yet. Right now it is moving just sideways but it could be a fierce drop from hereon in or it might steadily climb a bit more.

Someone who can make a script to automatically claim in faucet sites should have a good job in real life and shouldn't be wasting his time with faucets since he's very knowledgeable enough about scripts to know how to bypass captchas, and move on from one faucet site to another or maybe even claim simultaneously. He's going to earn much more than his auto-claim-from-faucet script can make.

It's not hard to earn bitcoins outside of this forum, btw. The only things that you can do here to earn money is sell stuffs, offer services, and signature campaign. Selling stuffs and offering services would require audience, this is not the only forum where you can find bitcoin users. To some people this forum isn't a really good place to do those (sell stuffs+offer service) because there's already trusted people here. For example, if you're going to try managing signature campaign or do lending, people would ask you various stuffs first and the majority would prefer going with the trusted user over you.

When the price of a coin(in this case bitcoin) goes down and is still on that phase then itis not recommended to buy because the price can go lower and to be able to get the ROI or profit will take longer, but the risk i this case is higher than when the price is increasing.

sorry to say but i think it is still a good time to buy bitcoin. because the price is now again trading below 800 USD. and i think the market of bitcoin is just giving you a chance to invest you money in bitcoin and after that you will never find that opportunity to invest in bitcoin when the price will agaain reach to 1150 USD.

I guess after that price rally, it is still a good time to buy bitcoin now, because from $1000 it goes down to sub $900  around $830 as of time of this reply.  The reason is that, bitcoin had shown that it can really pass $1000 in price and it is showing that it can actually beat it's ATH this year.  If you buy at this price there is a big possibility that you can earn 30% to 80% at the end of this year.  According to some prediction of some known bitcoin enthusiast, it can reach $1500 at the end of the year.

Just like you said, we don't know what would be next. When you bought at $752 per coin, you're still not sure that you're going to have negative profit since we don't know what would be the next market movement. The whole thing is a wave. Those who bought coins at $900 might be thinking that the price will be increasing next. The very same mindset people that bought bitcoins at $752 has.

Anyway, there's nothing for people that are in negative profit to do. All they can do is wait. You said this whole thing is a wave, let's just wait for the next wave that is high enough to reach more than $900 for us to get profit.

It's speculation. All of the things that he said is his prediction. He can't support his statement but that's just how it is. If someone can support their prediction with facts, then that particular someone would be making millions since he knows what's the next market movement. All of these market movements are random, imo, since you don't know who would be pumping/dumping when.

I really don’t think that altcoin is really worth buying since they are unstable and the exchange rate is still not high, as for buying bitcoin with some of you weekly salary I mean I would recommend that except don’t spend every time on bitcoin jut buy once and try to increase that amount that why you won’t regret it when you lose it.

Right now, I don't think it will be the best time to buy bitcoin because of the price fluctuation and volatilty. If the price is somewhere @ $600 then that would be the time that I guess a nice entry point for buying and investing, but that's just me. I really wanted bitcoins to crash once more so that I can buy more.

Bitcoin has reached more than $1000 last week and many people believe that it will hit the $2000 value this year! buy now before its too late because if you will based on its performance, bitcoin is constantly increasing it's value. in previous days the price of bitcoin cross the 1100 USD level and the it fell down to below 700 USD. i think the market was taking some correction other wise there is nothing wrong to the market or there is no suck bad news about bitcoin on other side the users of bitcoin are increasing continuously therefore it is still expected that the price of bitcoin will increase in future again, therefore i think it is still good time to invest in bitcoin.

It's always a good time to get Bitcoins, just that some times are more convenient then others. The price is moving between 800$ and 900$ recently and probably will stay so for a while. If you have free funds, buy Bitcoins, it's not very cheap at the moment but all expectations are that the price will go up again and if you hold the coins long enough you will profit.

What lesson's I learned when buying bitcoins is never hesitate to buy especially when the price is rising, and that is what is currently happening now. From a big price fall, we are back to to the top again and it seems like the price will continue to rise, you are right, if you have extra funds you should buy now. In other words, you're kind of late if you're going to invest now. He said to wait for $700 simply because it was the bottom of the previous dump. It's around $760, btw. There's no assurance that the price of bitcoin would be reaching somewhere $700 again. We're back to $900 and I think noone's selling their bitcoins that much because most whales have bought more bitcoins at $800. They most probably are just going to hold it until we reach their desired price.

Personally, I would take the risk and buy at this amount. We don't know maybe tomorrow or next week the price would go up again. I just don't want to wait for a lower price but end up buying at a much higher price.

I don't think bitcoin will crash into $600 since its holder wont let it and there is no one controls it. Don't think that we will ever be back to that level again this year, it's $900 now and I see it will rise to the price that we are all expecting to happen. It's hard to predict but we need to, it is our way to make money when we will be able to predict the right price movement. - even if you sell what you earn from your signature campaign it is still too small to have any effect!
- you say lets wait for the price to go down to $600 and then buy. i ask you why $600? you are just saying a random number or do you actually have a reason for that? why not $700 or $400?
- and the most important question of all: why do you even think bitcoin price is going down? you can't just say random stuff.

what we saw so far is a huge resistance around $800 which could not be broken despite all the dumps and FUD that they throw at it. only 300,000 bitcoins were traded on bitfinex during the past 3 weeks after the $1160 price and they were mostly dumps (they were more on bitstam and even more on Chinese markets)
and despite all that price came back up to $900 and new resistance levels are shaping up again.

I think it's worthless to wait to bitcoin gal to 500$ again to buy some and trade with it. It's hard to some big fall happen again. I would recommend you to buy bitcoin right now if you have some nice sum of money. Bitcoinis obviously planning to get doubled this year already. So you have big chances to double your money pretty soon.

Despite making sense of what you mention,  the same question should be reconsidered twice,  is now a good time to do so?  Probably not yet, considering that it is still the beginning of this year and that in the last two consecutive years the trend has been bullish it might seem that it is a good time to do so, but neither can be assured that the price will not fall  especially in a couple of months,I think no one should rush to do anything for the moment, in the last days the price has had a behavior that could be said to be stable, but do not forget that it suddenly becomes unstable, suffice it to remember that the community is still divided some are still not accepting the proposed solution or SegWit soft fork and if most of them choose hardfork will end up being 2 different blockchains and could affect the price considerably.

I agree, the deflation of bitcoin will make the price up. When so many new people interested and buy bitcoin, the demand of it is increase so it will influence the price of bitcoin. I think by Dollar Cost Averaging, he can get more amount of bitcoin.

the demand of bitcoin is increasing from time to time because the people are taking more and more interest in bitcoin. in my area when i started using i think a new people were using bitcoin at that time. but now their  number is increasing from continuously, in start there was  not a single shop where bitcoin was accepted but  now we have two such shops one is super store  and the  second is Mobile shop (Mobile Zone) who are accepting bitcoin for shopping. hope  that the trend will continue and more and more people will enter in the world of bitcoin.

You are lucky that at least a super shop and a mobile shop are accepting bitcoin in your area in my area it is in progress but I have not heard of any store that will accept bitcoin but only some of my friends accept bitcoin wen I have to deal with them for some of my goods to buy or sell to them. Besides this I am using bitcoin mostly for online shopping and international transactions.

I live in a pretty large city and I also haven't heard of stores openly accepting bitcoin. I have a feeling this will change over time, but I can't be sure. People don't exactly like to change their payment methods because it adds a lot more work to whatever needs to be done. I also have no idea about Trump's views on cryptocurrency in the real world, so this could also cause some other external issues for people who want to accept bitcoins for their stores.
