Being on both blockchains affords us more flexibility in terms of building features for the asset.

In regards to exchanges, most will list as a Waves asset I'm sure. For instance, I just applied for listing at Cryptopia, and I supplied the information for listing a Waves token.

 If they list the Ethereum token, they will most likely explain it as such so as to not confuse users. We'll make sure to explain any ETH-RBX listings on the BTC talk thread and on our website.

40% of the $RBX supply will be airdropped for free to the Waves community.
When to start ...

20% of that airdrop has been distributed already.

There's no date yet determined for the remaining 20%, but I was thinking that 10% will be airdropped at the end of April.

Riptobux had several airdrops on the wavesplatform for waves and wct holders and in the wavesslack.

Yes Ripto Bux has been distributed through air drop thus far but of course, you can also get it on exchanges.

There are still some airdrops planned for the future - I'm thinking of a cool way to reward individuals who are watching this BTC ANN.

I think at the end of April, we will hold a special "opt-in" RBX airdrop that utilizes the Tip-Bot.

The plan right now is, depending on how many people "opt-in" using the correct command, they'll be added to the airdrop list.

Additionally, those with more RBX will receive a proportionally larger chunk of the airdrop. This is to help reward those who are holding their RBX and believe in it long term.

Still haven't decided the total amount of RBX that will be distributed this way, but I'm leaning towards 20 million.

So, Ripto Bux makes use of Incent's BlockSwap technology. The way this works, is that, when transferring your Waves Ripto Bux to Ethereum, that token is frozen in an intermediary address.

Once that happens, a token is released from another intermediary address, and onto the Ethereum blockchain.

With this model, there can only ever be a total of 1 Billion active Ripto Bux on both blockchain at one time.

So the next Ripto Bux $RBX airdrop will take place a bit differently than those prior.

Instead of doing an indiscriminate airdrop to all Waves or WCT token holders, this time we're going to try and teach people how to use Incent blockswap to move their Ripto Bux from Waves to Eth.

So, in order to earn this airdrop, you must test out the Waves/ Ethereum gateway by swapping your Waves Ripto Bux for Ethereum Ripto Bux.

- To use Incent blockswap, you will need to visit this website. https://blockswap.incentloyalty.com/

- From here, you must select the token that you wish to transfer. Make sure you select Ripto Bux.

- You will be prompted to connect your Waves wallet to your Ethereum wallet. Input both addresses as directed.

- Follow the instructions to send a specific amount of Waves to the swap address. This verification process will link your Waves wallet address with your Ethereum Wallet address.

- Once verified, send Ripto Bux to the specified address. Please do a test send of 1 or 2 Ripto Bux before swapping a large amount. Blockswap is a new technology, and sometimes an error may occur.

- On the Ethereum side, you will need to watch the Ripto Bux token contract in order to see your swapped tokens. For simplicity sake, RBX on exchanges will be excluded from airdrops. If you wish to participate in an airdrop, simply move them back to your lite client before the airdrop takes place. You can then move them back afterward if that is what you wish to do.

However, the next airdrop will not take place as the previous one's did.To participate in this one, you'll need to have your Ripto Bux off exchanges any way to perform the blockswap. See above for more information.

One thing I'd like to make certain before you all test out the block swap mechanic is that you will NOT be able to send your Ethereum RBX to your Waves wallet. They are incompatible. So if you swap, just know that to return your RBX to Waves, you must go through blockswap again.

Another note - currently Tidex and Cryptopia list the Waves token of RBX. If you were to purchase RBX from either of these exchanges, make sure to withdraw to a Waves wallet.

In the future, if an exchange lists the Ethereum form of Ripto Bux, you would need to withdraw to an Ethereum wallet. So, just make sure to do your due diligence before withdrawing as sending to the wrong wallet will results in the loss of your token.

I made a test sending from my wallet unsuccessful waves to blockSwap. Also after having generated my contract in myetherwallet of RBX I made a transaction of Cryptopia to Myetherwallet without success. I also made another test sending of RBX Cryptopia  RBX Waves wallet without success. I do not understand what is going on ... Shipping evidence and lost shipments ... Please help me  ???

It may not work because my purse coins Waves (FALSE) I can not make withdrawals or deposits but the coins are discounted ...

Don't worry the airdrop will be ongoing and I'll take into account that blockswap is currently having issues. I've spoken to the creator of the contract, and he said that the transactions should go through - not sure of the time frame but I'm in contact.

The plan was to have the airdrop go through the end of April, so there's ample time to 1) Figure out what is up w/ blockswap and 2) allow individuals to make use of the contract.

Blockswap is currently down - I'm in contact w/ the creator of the contract to see what the issue is. He believes blockswap transactions will automatically process once he irons out the issues, but please until then, hold off on using blockswap. I'll make an announcement once I can confirm it is once again operational.

In regards to sending RBX from Cryptopia to MEW ... I made mention of this earlier - please make sure to read all posts in the future. You CANNOT indiscriminately transfer your Waves Ripto Bux (from Cryptopia or otherwise) directly to your Ethereum Wallet. When you link your addresses, it is specifically matched so that BlockSwap recognizes that you intend to swap Waves to Eth, from your Waves Lite Client address to your Ethereum address.

There's no way for the contract to know that you are swapping to Ethereum if you have not linked an address - it doesn't know the address you are sending from and therefore cannot redirect your Ripto Bux to your Ethereum wallet.

(Also, I'm not certain how Cryptopia redirects your RBX - it may be one mass address for Ripto Bux wallets - so please, in the future, do not attempt to link your Cryptopia wallet to an Ethereum wallet. Simply move your RBX to your lite client, and then link your lite client to your Ethereum wallet.)

Unfortunately, because the link was most likely not there, these Ripto Bux are probably lost.

Now, in regards to your statement of Lite Client to Cryptopia, this should work fine. Cryptopia requires 20 confirmations before releasing coins into your wallet. You can check the deposits page to see how many have been verified.

There is currently an issue w/ the blockswap contract. I had tested last night before making the announcement, but it seems that something is wrong - there was recently a Waves node update, so the contract will most likely need to be updated. I'm in contact w/ the creator and everything should be fine.

In regards to the Waves you sent to the blockswap address, it should've been a minimal amount - less than 1 Wave? This is to match your Waves address to your Ethereum address. The amount you needed to send was randomly generated - it's a security feature. You won't be getting this back - it functions sort of like a Captcha to prevent bots from indiscriminately moving tokens across Waves and ETH. It's a small price to pay for the functionality of being able to swap your tokens across chains.

That said - I'll be sure to announce once Blockswap is back up and running. This is unfortunate timing considering I had just tested it out last night (which is why i made the announcement today) - but hang tight and I will have more information on the way.

Download this, create your wallet, and youre good to go. You can pick up some Waves on bittrex, cryptopia, liqui.io, and many more exchanges. You'll need some Waves in order to transact.

For this Ripto Bux airdrop, the amount distributed is dependent upon how many Ripto Bux you swap from Waves to Ethereum.

I'm currently ironing out issues w/ Blockswap, so hold off for the time being - I'll be back w/ more information.

Again, sit tight, don't swap anything yet - I don't want anyone to lose any RBX. I'll keep everyone posted.

Originally, we believed the issue was with a fork of the node that BlockSwap operates on, and once updated, transactions did process.

So the RBX on cryptopia are in Waves form. You can send direct to your Waves wallet from Cryptopia, and your Waves wallet will accept the token.

Ethereum is different - you need to 'watch' a token before you can see it in your wallet.

And yes, once blockswap is up, all you need to do is transfer some number of tokens from Waves to ETH through blockswap, and you'll be eligible for the airdrop.

Hey guys sorry - figuring out what's going on w/ blockswap has been taking a bit of time.

It seems that the issue stems from an update to Waves full node - and it causes the chain to fork - and then the tx's don't show (or something to this effect).

The airdrop will still occur - but it will most likely need to be pushed back at this point.

Either way, I'll announce once 1) BlockSwap is fully and reliably operable once more and 2) Once the airdrop period is 100% reinstated.

A bit of information about BlockSwap - it seems that transactions have been going through albeit at a slower rate than before. Still working on identifying the core issue.

Obviously because of this, we'll be pushing the airdrop period further back to compensate for the time lost. Do not worry, if you have already transferred your Ripto Bux to ETH through BlockSwap, they will indeed be counted.

In other news, we are working on our Ethereum Smart Contract integration/application that will utilize the Ripto Bux token. Can't give away too much information at this point in time, but more will be revealed in due course.

I seem to get the same message from blockswap to verify myself by sending a nominal amount of Waves to a specific address even though I did that about 7 hours ago.
Are you supposed to do it every time you swap?
How do I know I´m verified? When I tried sending from Waves to Myetherwallet my Waves client says the address is not valid.

for me it took about half a day, but i was still syncing my ethereum wallet most of the time to test this thing out.  i would think it should done automatically or atomically so to keep both chain automatically sync'd and free of human errors.

Distribution of the Ripto Bux $RBX token breaks down as such.

- 40% of the $RBX supply will be airdropped for free to the Waves community. We would airdrop to the Ethereum community as well, but the fact that one needs to watch a token in their wallet makes this a bit difficult. It is much easier to distribute tokens via airdrop w/ Waves, so this is why we are distributing from on the Waves chain. 200 million $RBX have been distributed thus far via airdrop.

The first 100 million were distributed in two ways. Firstly, a 1:1 credit was given to all holders of the original issuance of the Ripto Bux token (from back when the tip-bot bounty was raised). So anyone who was holding the Old Ripto Bux token received the exact same amount of the new token. Just saw this token recently and thought it's cool that you have circa 20% of the supply to pivot with, so some brainstorming ideas...

- 100 Day Lock-Up You could have something like a '100 day lock-up' for a pro-rata share of 50 million RBX. This will remove most of the available supply from circulation and increase demand for the remaining supply, due to people buying it to participate in the lock-up, this will be very price positive during the next 4-6 months while RBX establishes itself and has additional developments which will create even more demand. Contrast this with bringing out those cool developments but seeing the price struggle if 50 million RBX are given away in share-drops.


- Stronger than ETH/WAVES Could you create some system whereby in most eventualities such as a catastrophic blockchain failure of ETH/WAVES the RBX on the failed chain could be re-instated on the working one? That way RBX can be advertised as being in most eventualities, stronger than ETH or WAVES because it can survive most catastrophic blockchain events and with potentially minimal impact on price.

Crazy idea and probably flawed/too complicated for RBX but hopefully interesting concept nonetheless...

The Real Dollar Token (RDT) backed by an average of 10x RBX collateral

RDT is always redeemable for exactly 1 USD and is transferrable between the Waves and Ethereum blockchain backed by RBX

The RBX Staking system. 200 million RBX (that would have been used for share-dropping) is put into contract address ‘EFG’ that pays people who deposit RBX into contract address ‘ABC’ say 24% per annum.

Example

Hypothetical exchange rate 1 RBX =  $0.1

MR. A wants to stake his RBX so his XYZ address sends 10$ worth of RBX, (100 RBX) to contract address ABC

MR. A's XYZ address receives back 1 RDT for every 10 USD worth of RBX sent to ABC, so in this case 1 RDT and in addition he starts to receive 24% per annum paid monthly to his XYZ contract address. (so say 2RBX per month based on his 100 RBX deposit in the example)  

Mr. A can now sell the RDT for 1 USD (or slightly more) in any currency to somebody, say Mr. B that wants a token that will hold the value of the USD. Even after moving/selling the RDT, Mr. A's contract address XYZ will continue receiving 2 RBX a month.

Mr. B has ETH but he wants to move into USD for a bit and he doesn't trust USDT or a centralised exchange especially after the recent shenanigans. So Mr. B buys the RDT token for $1 or slightly more on any exchange that offers RDT. At any time Mr. B can send his RDT to contract address ABC and he will receive in return $1 worth of RBX from the ABC contract address based on the current exchange rate. (The exchange rate can be sourced via 'Oraclize' perhaps?)

If Mr. A ever wants to get back his original 100 RBX he is staking, all he has to do is send back the same amount of RDT he initially received from the 'ABC' address. So in this case he would have to buy 1 RDT for circa 1 USD on the open market and then send it to ABC from his XYZ address. The ABC contract will recognise his XYZ address and send him back his original 100 RBX.

So what you have is a traditional staking system that has created a dual blockchain token always worth 1 USD as a by-product. Even with a 90% drop in the RBX value at which the average RDT was created (meaning probably a 95% fall in the RBX price) they will still be redeemable for $1 worth of RBX. Plus there will be the 200 Million RBX (less what has been paid out in staking) that can be used to redeem RDT if necessary too.

Hey all,

I'll be revising the white paper in the coming days (maybe a week or two) to reflect our new use case and Ethereum functionality. For the time being - consider it out of date.

Also - last Thursday we distributed 100 million Ripto Bux to holders of Waves. The conditions for receiving Ripto Bux were two fold. The first 50 million were distributed to all Waves holders depending on how many Waves they were holding. The more Waves = more Ripto Bux.

The second distribution went to all active Waves holders which we classified as anyone holding 50 Waves or more. Each individual received the same amount of Ripto Bux in this bracket ... 9756 Ripto Bux.

As of now considering that BlockSwap is still being worked on - i think we're probably not going to go through with the BlockSwap distribution. It's just been causing too many people issues with their RBX taking a long time to swap, and I don't want anyone to try to swap until it's ready to go.

That said, it still makes sense to keep your RBX on Ethereum blockchain and you'll find out why in the near future.

I dont get why people let their waves on exchanges. Offline is safer, and you are less tempted to panic sell. Waves isn't a simple pump/dump project, ETH developers are working/helping waves as well. Great team, bright future.
My advice for everyone is to hold your waves in the lite client (chrome app) and lease those waves. By doing that you'll earn MRT WCT and other tokens. If you lease you still have your waves in your wallet, you can cancel the lease anytime, takes 1000 blocks (less than a day) to have them back as spendable balance.
I've seen many price in/decreases, never sold a single waves because of written above. Not making the same mistake as i did with ETH, sold (most) to early.

If I'm not wrong you no need to stake or any extra settings need to do in your wallet. Just keep your waves in your light wallet then you should be receiving your airdrops when they send. I'm holding my waves since around two months but started after 15th and I received my first air drop last month around 10K ripto bux token for my 100 over waves.

I think a few people are confusing the Ripto Bux airdrop distributions that we've done in the past w/ leasing rewards distributed by full node operators.

Full node operators are able to process RBX fee blocks (that is, transactions sent using RBX as the fee the same way one would use .001 Waves as a fee) and these are then distributed to leasees. This is why a few of you have probably gotten like, .012345... RBX in the past few weeks.

The airdrop distributions have been rather arbitrary thus far. One was for WCT holders, most are for Waves holders and we decided recently to reward those who held 50 or more Waves. There was no real rhyme or reason.

That said, there is one final airdrop tentatively on the table but I haven't decided how we'll do it yet, or when we'll do it for that matter.

I'm actually considering holding off until Sphearis and Oceanlab release their Waves asset Proof of Stake mechanism. This would allow for a much more fair distribution of the remaining Ripto Bux (and would also rewards RBX holders).

Either way, we'll decide what we decide - that's the beauty of not having an ICO :)

It is a decent investment at this point - the only token on two platforms - ETH and Waves

just take it as an interests of the bonus. And look back again couple of years later. Buying Waves itself and Eth\Etc are much easy way to generate a profit.  ::)

What I like about Ripto is that the developers are involved and very actively working on the project. There are some sweet ideas brewing. I am therefore looking forward to the details in the upcoming whitepaper (could give the coin a boost imho).

First draft of the revised white paper is now being edited professionally, Eth functionality is being worked on every day (getting pretty far in that tbh).

From what I can tell the Dev is actually quite skilled and definitely in it for the long run. The reason why it's still at this price is the fact that there's almost no PR or shilling done for the coin. Which makes it an excellent opportunity for investors with a bit of patience in my opinion.

Guys I'm here, sorry for the radio silence. I've been dealing with a lot in regards to the Blockswap fall-out, and other news related to token legalities.

Basically, I think we've come to a solution in regards to the locked-in RBX. I've worked with Rob, CEO of Incent, and they're going to be sending RBX to each address that has ever sent RBX into Blockswap to be swapped to Ethereum.

What this means is that, if you tried to test out Blockswap prior, or participate in the RBX Blockswap airdrop a while back that got all kinds of messed up, you'll get that full amount of RBX that you sent in, back.

They will be sent directly to the sender address, meaning the address you swapped with. We cannot switch addresses in the event that you no longer have access to that particular address. It would be too easy to spoof, so I'm hoping you guys have the seeds to your wallets or you still make use of them.

Anyway, I know it's been a while, but I'm extremely happy to have been able to get this done for you guys and to finally bring this to a resolution. I couldn't have imagined Incent Blockswap would end up in the circumstances that it did.

That said, you can understand how this will mess up distribution amounts on Ethereum RBX ... so I unfortunately regret to inform you guys that we'll be pivoting away from dual-chain Waves+ETH in it's entirety. Ripto Bux will remain as a solely Waves based token.

My reasoning is that, if these types of issues are possible with 3rd party trusted gateways, even if we run our own implementation, I just don't want anyone to have any RBX tokens put at risk of anything like this happening again. Even though they were distributed for free and not through an ICO, I just don't feel comfortable with that being a possibility.

We did of course actually build out the tech on the Eth side, smart contract and all... We're (jkatz and I) not sure what we're going to be doing with it. I'm not making any promises that it'll be used (I'm sure a lot of you guys saw the twitter gif we posted from the RBX account a while back.)

So, RBX will return to its previous status as the official Waves community and Waves platform tipping token. I know that's a bit underwhelming especially considering what we built, but it's what RBX was first brought into the crypto world as, and its honestly the best use case for it at this time.

Myco still works on his tip-bot, and RBX will go with it to whichever slacks the bot hooks up to, as it always has.

Additionally, there will not be any more airdrop distributions. This is, from a legal standpoint, not something that I want to keep doing, especially with recent developments in the space. I hope that you all can respect this decision.

The 3rd party centralized aspect of the Incent Blockswap Etherum gateway caused way too much trouble for RBX holders.

We think that currently, RBX makes a great, low-stakes, tip token for users on slack channels where Myco's tip bot is enabled, and also a nice functional fee for Waves transactions (specifically by node-operators for stake-leasing distributions), and these are two nice use cases for RBX.

I was thinking to sell my Ripto Bux because it will stop trading at Cryptopia. I just sign up for WAVES, ironically I would like to use my Ripto Bux instead of selling it for Bitcoin. I have 3 questions:

I would not let this Cryptopia issue bother you.   For some reason Cryptopia has decided to shoot themselves in the foot and defame Waves.   I only use Cryptopia for a limited number of coins that are not widely traded on exchanges such as Bittrex.  This sort of miscommuncation does sometimes happen.

WAVES team failed to notify us of two recent WAVES updates (0.7.6 and 0.7.7). Both interact badly with our wallets environment and the lack of communication regarding updates is a cause of concern. We are currently discussing the best option moving forward with Waves and will update our users asap.

They've been working on it for a while, but hopefully once it's out that should make using the client and especially the DEX a much nicer experience. Everything works there right now, but the interface could be much clearer and smoother, so there is certainly a bit of room for improvement there.

Your Waves Address is the same for Waves and every token.
You only have one Address.

Ripto has already announced here in the forum that he has currently no plans of continuing his work on Ripto Bux.
I guess that could change in the future, but I wouldn't bet on it unless you know something that hasn't been announced yet.

The delisting from Cryptopia is obviously not cool, because it was a great spot for Waves tokens to be accessed by those new to the Waves ecosystem, but there's nothing that can be done about that, unfortunately. From what I understand, Cryptopia once de-listed Ethereum for similar issues as they de-listed Waves - issues with nodes de-synchronizing from the overall network (forking). It is what it is.

Of course, if one wishes to purchase RBX so that they can tip, or sell to others so that they can tip, they can do so on Tidex Exchange or Waves Decentralized Exchange within the Waves lite client. One should not purchase RBX unless they plan to tip an individual as there should be no assumption of an increase in value.

Ripto Bux is not an investment - it is simply a token used to signify appreciation of one's contribution within the slacks that it (the tip bot) is enabled in.

RE: The individual who brought up $OCL Oceanlab - I like that team quite a lot  :) Sphearis and his team are committed to Waves and the Waves ecosystem. Their Gravit platform will be super cool for crawling the Waves blockchain, and they're really working on a lot.

As far as I know, they are working on a very cool tool called Proof of Stake for All, or POS4All. It basically allows any asset on Waves to be able to become Proof of Stake. I'm not quite sure how they plan on implementing it, but I think it's a great idea. I can imagine a situation where say, XMR tokenized on Waves Platform can be used as a fee, and then those fees distributed through POS. A very interesting idea indeed.

Perhaps once regulatory uncertainties are clarified, the remaining undistributed supply of RBX could be distributed through POS4All.

Anyway, as another poster above commented, RBX isn't undergoing "development" per se. It is a simple token.

Yea I mean it is what it is - there's nothing we can really do from this position.

I suppose it's possible. I know that Cryptopia does list Ether now and some ERC20 tokens even though in the past they swore off listing anything related to Ethereum.

 I'm not going to try and make bold predictions about it or anything as they are their own company/entity. Perhaps once Waves releases their 1.0 update w/ Waves-NG, Smart Contracts, and Anonymity features they'll list again (because there will be fewer changes to the code base at this point). Or, if Waves gets to the point where they're losing money in fees because they don't have it listed, I would imagine they would re-list, but there's no guarantee.

Any ongoing development? Slack and telegram doesn't seem active as well as marketmovement. Thought there were things coming for inpay but sofar no new releases for months.

Apparently not, the main dev states some pages back that there are no plans to develop this coin no, just leave it as a tipping coin.

This token is WAY OLD!! No bounties or airdrops.
And this is kind of dying... You can find more interesting tokens.

Search for Waves Faucets and some will give you some tokens, but don't expect them to be much valuable.

This is basically cat poo mixed with kangaroo poo.  Cryptopia SUCKS!!!!  The very email I use to sign in and the very email on record on their freaking website was the VERY freaking email Cryptopia did NOT use to inform me of RBX being delisted.  For that, they can suck my daddys..............freaking Cryptopia.

There is no development ongoing.
There were some nice plans in the past, Riptobux should be a multiblock chain token between waves and eth.
For that development was coinswap needed, coinswap was developed but it didn't work out as it should be.
So the plans what was ongoing couldn't ongoing.

Think everything is fine now.

Judging on the price graph it appears that RBX have a good potential for a pump.
Take note that nowadays, almost all coin with low value 1-10 satoshi got pumped ONCE ( or lucky enough twice, trice) on a span of time.
I can see 2 scenario that would lead to that, 1. RBX dev waking up from almost 3 months of sleep, 2. A group or the community taking over the project.
