I hear many saying they don't mess with altcoins...how do you make money with btc?

Just buy the dips, sell for usd (or other fiat), then buy back in...rinse and repeat?

I'm not talking about long term holding but about how to build up your bitcoin without touching alts.

Hold, man, hold. The way Bitcoin is moving now if you're trading you're more likely to miss the moves. The next option that will earn you some more coin while you're holding is to keep your coin (or some of it) with an online wallet that pays you interest. There are only a few that offer a realistic amount of interest for your coin on balance.

Well, BTC trading are currently very profitable with the high volatility. The problem is we do not have a lot of dips at the moment, because the price is just going upwards. So you will be making money while you are climbing the ladder. This strategy is a bit more risky, because the higher it climb, the bigger the correction will be.

If it crash down, you will have to wait a lot longer to reach those price levels again to recoup your loss or to make a slight profit.

It is boring, but profitable in the long term. ^smile^

I usually hold btc though price is currently high I know for sure I can earned profit on btc. I save it for a long term investment. This is the only way for now I can earn btc is to save it.

Making money with only bitcoin takes you to the fact of saving it in your cold wallet storage. Just imagine if you would have saved your bitcoin a month ago or something then you could have earned at the least two times whatever you were holding at that time.


If you don’t like the idea of holding and think that it is risk then you can also go for mining of bitcoin. However this will cost you big set up of rigs and all the knowledge for it. Refer to the mining section if you are interested in this one.


There are many other ways already discussed on the forum, please go through all the topics and you will find more easy ways too. There is no point describing it here again and again. :-)

I think that your wants are not that safe and fast to reach your goal to make money with only bitcoin  because, you need to expand your coverage for your money in order to make money. If you will not touch the alts or other strategies like long term holding then how can you make money with your bitcoin if those things that you don't want are the key for you to make a lot of money?

Or try some services in the forum that pays in btc if you dont have any btc on you. Signature campaign, twitter or even fb campaign. These are some common servives in here. There are also referral links that gives out small amounts of btc and even captchas. Your own risk as long as you know at least basic knowledge in trading. There are still a lot of services in the forum and that could give you a head start on btc.

yes this is one of many thing that you can do to make money with bitcoin. i am buy if i see there is a good spread like different in price between buying order and selling order and there is a good movement from bitcoin itself. beside that i am always watching and analyze the chart before i execute the order. sometimes i used order buy and waiting for a while and from this, i can make order sell in the price i want.

Mostly users of bitcointalk, they are getting money from trading altcoins especially for the users who doesn't have much money,
it has big chance to getting money with small capital, if you don't like trading altcoins

Who told you not to mess with altcoins? It may not be a goods idea to mess with altcoins right now, but I don’t see why you shouldn’t mess with altcoins in general. Trading is a great way to make profit. Why are you casting it aside like that? Anyways if you do not want to touch altcoins then you could buy in the dips selling at the hypes and yeah, rinse and repeat. That in itself is a good method to make Bitcoin, but is kinda useless at the moment, because Bitcoin price is just increasing and increasing. So buying a dips is kinda ineffective at the moment, but you could generally use the same concept in other scenarios. But there are other ways to make Bitcoin without touching altcoins. Just sift through the list and find methods to earn Bitcoin without touching altcoins and then practise them.

I`m messing with altcoins, and for weeks most of altcoins are going down, most of them lost 50% of it`s value. I`m a holder and I think price will recover, yesterday I bought more on this very low price, but price can go more down, we never know what will happen. Its my experience with altcoins, maybe this can help you.
Just with bitcoin is possible to earn but buy at when its down and sell when its high its not so easy, you need to practice that. Bitcoin fluctuate a lot, I just take a look cause of this post and:

If it is just trading, anything paired with bitcoin can make you money. whether it is alts or fiat, so why would you avoid alts? Only avoid the sh!t coins, but not the goid ones. and if you really do not want to touch alts, you got no choice but to earn bitcoin by offerring services to have bitcoin and take advantage of it.

I'm making money through bitcoin only with just holding it and also im doing trading like selling it on a high price and buying bitcoin on a low price of course the profit from it was not that stable but you can do it by just watching the price to fall and raise. im doing it with my partner so we are active 12 hrs / 12 hrs im on the day and he is on the night watching the price so we can sell it on high price.

You can't get bitcoins here just by reading info in this forum. Nobody will give you bitcoins for free besides faucets, but as we know they don't pay much at all. you mentioned signature campaigns and they are good way to earn but you have to work hard for it, post a lot meaningful comments to get money.

Mostly user if bitcoin talk they are getting money form trading all coins especially for the user who doesn't have much money.it has big change to getting money with small capital  if you don't like trading altcoins or you don't want your bitcoin touching altcoins you can trade bitcoinsto more money to this btc. i hope btc is the best.

Best way that works for me is through signature campaigns. That's where most of my btc came from. It's good to start in this method if you ate new in btc since what you'll be needing is a decent internet connection, an account in this forum, and your willingness to learn and earn. And of course most of all you'll need to understand the very purpose of this forum and be a good contributor.

And have more time for learning knowledge about Bitcoin, Economy, Trading and cryptocurrency world when working with signature campaign.

Yeah I agree with you, there is some rule in this forum, let me tell you some of them, never make half line comment. One thing you must well know that for earn better you have to get your rank up and for this you have to posts informational comments and then they will give you activity and then you will get ranks gradually.

That is the method OP says, good one. But if you want to earn more Bitcoins you need to have a big balance, so you can invest it online. Choose a legit site offer, you can find suggestions at Securities section (some of them are scam, must be cautious). The Casino investment is a good method to make profit with Bitcoins, passive income on long term. Sometimes one or another good method appears and vanish fast, so always be attentive to don't lose an opportunity.

The only way to make bitcoins with bitcoins is trading  ;) that is the only way you can get more amount, so if you wanna make btc, login in bittrex or poloniex and start trading, but first try to practise a bit.
Another way to make btc is just investing in ponzies, but it wont give you much profits, since 8 of 10 are scam, but at the beggining of all of them, you are always gonna earn.

You have already stated the only method of earning profits only with bitcoin without touching the alts. Buy at dips and sell at peak. There is no other way to earn profit from bitcoin without touching the alts. I mostly use BTC to USD pair and that's the most profitable one if you have enough time to track the market.

However, it is a good habit to start buying alts because you never know which altcoin can become big in future. I have already started buying ETH in a very small amount. Also planning to buy NEO, Ripple, Dash and litecoin very soon. I will not go all in, rather I will start buying in small quantity at a certain interval.

I also hold my bitcoin for longterm because if you do that you can see that your money increase if the bitcoin price increase. You can start trading you can buy waves , ethereum , taas, qtum , komodo this coin for sure will increase more in the future so you can make a lot of profit. But its up to you what coin you can buy but I suggest you can make a research first before buying altcoin.

Well are you sure with this? You dont want to touch the alts? Why not? It can give you unlimited income as you do trading with alts. Just deposit your btc to bittrex or any other exchanges then buy good coins. Then sell it if the price is at its peak. But better to have proper readings about the coins that you want.
Or if you dont really want alts, you can earn btc in signature campaigns and faucet. But doing this will take some time.

Not easy as that because there are altcoin aren ot actually can gives you a good profit but if you are lucky to choose an altcoin that can gives you a good profit you can make more profit if you sell it in good price..
For now if you really want to make a profit in trading altcoins better to choose high market cap which is can stay for long in the market and youu can wait for the price can be burst increase.. unlike new altcoin releases in the market cap that really not profitable because mostly new release altcoin are scam so if you are wise choosing altcoin it can gives you huge price profit because there are altcoin new release that can burst price increase but in the end it can be scam so don't be greedy if you already made a profit and exchange it then invest to other altcoin..

As far as I've read you can earn more bitcoin by trading the bitcoin you already have. You can also loan some out and ask an interest. I'm going to be trying both out in the future for sure.

There is many legal ways to making money only with BTC. Trading altcoins, and investing with the most prmising ICOs are just some methods. You can also joining the signature campaign , or selling your services online.

With those that you've mentioned I think it was not certain at all and you must be choosy on the most campaigns that you aimed to join for. Some of them scams you and won't pay you for the hardwork that you did. Trading is one of the best ways to earn more btc and also holding it in your wallet prior selling it to fiat exchanges.

keep hold and keep buying. if you see the bitcoin graph using candle. You'll see that green candle are more than red candle. It means the uptrend for bitcoin is more than its downtrend. So the chance of buying in the dip is lower. And you should never exchange your bitcoin to altcoin, because the bitcoin is keep climb up while alt are dumping.

if we can hold for a longer time then i think we can make money from btc because bitcoin price always up and down and if the price is up from our buying price, then we can sell to make profit and of course we can make money from btc. but sometimes our plan can not work properly because bitcoin price is too volatile so if the price is down, we only can hold and if we can, we can buy again in lower price.

That's correct but the fact is many people get panic when they see price going down and they sell their coins at wrong time and make loss as that would be the best time to hold your coins and buy more coins at lower price as even if price has fallen it will rise again in future and we have witnessed this many times in the past.

You sell bitcoin for USD or other fiat but the trade is best when it's against altcoin because you get different profit margins from it. I am in favor of joining signature campaigns because this method is easier, simple and free of cost as compare to other methods. Buying BTC or any altcoin during decline can also do some work but if we will not have any money then we cannot buy the dips even, if it is only bitcoin that we are considering here.
