Yes Ethereum is a good investment in fact it actually good for long term investment because it's progressing and very usable especially with ICO's because of its blockchain. Now is in fact a good time to buy Ethereum too because its value is very low.

Ethereum coin is one of my favorite altcoin and for sure if you have that you can earn a lot of profit in thw future. As of now the price of ethereum range at 300 dollars and i believe the price will become 1000 dollars before end of this year 2017 and for sure it will increase in the next few years and you will earn more profit . But it depends to you how many years you hold . But right now ethereum is good to  invest or buy .

Ethereum is a good coin with lots of potential. It started ICO's as we know it today, so it has really created more value as a network that users are using to create real business models and ideas. I think it's future is really bright and I am invested a little bit of my portfolio.

The only thing that has me staring even more closely on Eth is proof-of-stake. Will that create a centralization of nodes and kind of defeart the purpose of decentralization? Perhaps I am just worrying too much about it.

I really remember when eth was $22 in the early of this year and could reach over $400, current price is around $287, no doubt eth price will rise again sinve most ICO support and offers, or using ethereum blockchain which encourage people to buy more ethereum. But, it's not for long term I guess. Look at the charts, check the trading volume and the fluctuation of eth. Normally, any good news about particular coins will make the price increase, but whenever bitcoin price fall down, most coins will follow to decline as well, bitcoin price has increase, so does ethereum. But, be careful if eth rech $380 levels, most companies and project devs may sell huge amount of eth to get cash in order to cover their expenses.

I’m holding all my ETH at the moment since it’s been stagnant last couple of months or so, but I am very bullish on it and will get back when it breaks out of the stagnation. Right now it would be a good time to buy and hold, as the price is low. Ethereum has great potential and I see it reaching $400-$450 by the end of the year. Their technology is just too good to not break through and this is just the beginning for Ethereum! IMHO

Yes, ETH is better as an investment as is reasonably priced.I've only found Ethereum a currency that has a future after bitcoins. every since I started using it (when it's price was 0.03 BTC), it's not almost 0.08 while sometime back the price was 0.14 BTC. It keeps dropping as well but they stays stable at $300 unlike other currencies that drop and then die on the market chart. The transactions also are confirmed within few minutes and rarely there are blockages due to network traffic compared to bitcoins. Fee is almost $0.35 or less for big transactions.

Well I personally think it is a great alternate to bitcoin. The price right now is in my opinion really good. You should think that many ICOs and new Crypto Coins rund on the Ethereum Blockchain. So I would say the price will eventually be much higher in the future! But remember you should never invest more, than you can afford to lose. The volatility of these crypto currency coins can be very high. So make a good risk management.

As a platform, Ethereum is thriving in the market, new entrepreneurs create their own idea through the tokens and increase the demand of ETH. Right now there is no competition for the platform so the future is bright.

With a low price it is a good idea for investment if ever you are looking at bitcoin to be so much expensive.
Since ICO's are using ethereum as the means of their exchange then there is always a big possibility that the price will go up.
Just be careful. This coin is like you are always on a sea with a lot of waves. It goes up and down so quickly that is also because of the buy and sell from altcoins.

I think we can expect nothing but great future of ETH. There are already such a good applications based on ethereum and more is about to come in next few years. People are going to use these applications and there will be more and more money coming in. Speaking about price, I don't know... seem as not trusted as bitcoin and might be not that stable.

As someone new to this am I right thinking that ETH has the potential to compete with BTC in the long run, but is yet unproven in many regards - security, for instance?

I read somewhere today that "Bitcoin can only process a maximum of 7 transactions per second... because of this, many developers have chosen to develop their apps on the Ethereum blockchain instead. In the case of Storj, they actually moved from the Bitcoin blockchain to the Ethereum blockchain because of the network congestion and high fees."

So it seems ETH has the potential to be much more flexible and useful than BTC, assuming it can remain stable, people maintain confidence in it, and it doesn't suffer any security breaches etc.

Surely if confidence grows in ETH it's flexibility and speed could see it replacing BTC as top dog?

Ethereum is actually a good coin that does have somewhat of potential. Their smart contracts are always used in ICOs. This means that people who are into ICOs always, buy ether for the sake of them.

It's price increased a lot in a very short time compared with other coins. It was almost worth nothing at the beginning of the year and now it's got as high as $350. So in case of trading, yes it's totally profitable as well.

But the thing which is still kinda mysterious about ether is that they've been saying it will turn to Proof-of-stake for some time now. What will happens when it's no longer mined? Will people be still interested in it? What will happen to the price? No one knows yet.


Well I'd say it's not that to buy at this price buy just one question , why now ??? It's a few days late right ? The price stayed in the range of $230 to $250 on sept. 14 to 17. That was actually the best price to buy any cryptocoin you want.

You are right, ETH has better fame and user network after bitcoins in crypto world. ETH works better in buy and sell scheme as it doesn’t make much jumps. You can say it as stable somehow as compared to bitcoins. Better future it have after bitcoins in all other coins.

I dont think that Ethereum will overtake bitcoin in next couple of years! Bitcoin is just to big for ETH :)

I agree, Bitcoin is incomparable although there are also some good altcoins out there but I don't think it will ever over take Bitcoin. Ethereum is a great coin and its blockchain is fast too and have room in the future and I do think it is good for investment also.

I won't lie. As a contrarian trader, this kind of sentiment definitely makes me cautious about being too bullish. Personally, I think the ETHUSD chart is inconclusive right now. It's not clear whether we are in a consolidation before price makes another major leg down (in tandem with BTC), or whether the bottom is already in.

Yes, Ethereum has lots of potential as it is the platform used by many ICO's and is a good investment. Imagine last year eth is only at $22 and now it is at $280. In my opinion, eth has more potential than bitcoin (though they have different functions) in terms of investment.

I don’t think so eth is second best coin in the market. This is not true at all. Eth is as useless as trash and it is the most nonsense coin among altcoins. Wave’s are far better than eth in terms of market and generating great profits. Bitcoins should be compared to eth at least, don’t you think it is quite insulting for bitcoins for getting compared with such useless coin.

Everyone can have their own opinion, Ethereum is a good project but I personally think that ethereum is bitcoin with a lot of stuff on top of it that is not necessary, that is why bitcoin is still on top, bitcoin is more simple it is just a currency while ethereum wants to be so many things that at the end does not accomplish to be good at none of those things.

If Ethereum didn't have these things on top it wouldn't be where it is now. Ethereum can do many things Bitcoin can do but it's a completely different beast than Bitcoin.

Yeah i think the ethereum's price having a good future and can be said to be more likely increasing for the next, and i believe this. Ethereum is also one of my favorite altcoins that i often placed ethereum as an investment, because of my belief in ethereum that the price can be higher and obviously its price still more higher than other altcoins.

We cannot predict the future of any coins and actually no one does. Everything after bitcoin is basically a copy of bitcoin but with improved features, and it's such an obvious thing, just like monero, dash, and many more, same goes with ETH. and to be honest, I'd agree with you that bitcoin's simplicity make it to top until now. no need unnecessary feature but a simplicity that make many people understand about the concept of bitcoin. some people even said that simplicity is way to brilliance.

Ethereum is definitely a great investment, and not only short term but especially long term. Etherium's success was "slowly but surely" . Its potential has been proven, smart contracts, hard forks, altcoins development support. With these eth's place in the cryptoworld is secured. I am almost sure that this year will be awesome for ethereum. Bitcoin raised a lot in the last year however it has high fees and unconfirmed transactions problem. It was pretty obvious that bitcoin would have a correction phase.
In the meantime Ethereum price was pressured. Moreover Etherum is being used by real purposes maybe more than Bitcoin. It has real usage fot ICO's, and have great smart contract projects as well as Proof of Stake project.

I would definitely say ethereum is a great coin to start out with. I think it will continue to grow and is definitely one of the most well known coin. I don't really look too often at the price of it and have a long term plan to hold my ethereum presently!
