Well I personally think it is a great alternate to bitcoin. The price right now is in my opinion really good. You should think that many ICOs and new Crypto Coins rund on the Ethereum Blockchain. So I would say the price will eventually be much higher in the future! But remember you should never invest more, than you can afford to lose. The volatility of these crypto currency coins can be very high. So make a good risk management.

As a platform, Ethereum is thriving in the market, new entrepreneurs create their own idea through the tokens and increase the demand of ETH. Right now there is no competition for the platform so the future is bright.

With a low price it is a good idea for investment if ever you are looking at bitcoin to be so much expensive.
Since ICO's are using ethereum as the means of their exchange then there is always a big possibility that the price will go up.
Just be careful. This coin is like you are always on a sea with a lot of waves. It goes up and down so quickly that is also because of the buy and sell from altcoins.

I think we can expect nothing but great future of ETH. There are already such a good applications based on ethereum and more is about to come in next few years. People are going to use these applications and there will be more and more money coming in. Speaking about price, I don't know... seem as not trusted as bitcoin and might be not that stable.

On the other hand, isn't ETH vulnerable to be hack?I had read an article saying that there was a DAO hack on the early 2016 causing the price of ETH decrease drastically. As of now, do you think ETH has a high possibility to be hacked?

As someone new to this am I right thinking that ETH has the potential to compete with BTC in the long run, but is yet unproven in many regards - security, for instance?

I read somewhere today that "Bitcoin can only process a maximum of 7 transactions per second... because of this, many developers have chosen to develop their apps on the Ethereum blockchain instead. In the case of Storj, they actually moved from the Bitcoin blockchain to the Ethereum blockchain because of the network congestion and high fees."

So it seems ETH has the potential to be much more flexible and useful than BTC, assuming it can remain stable, people maintain confidence in it, and it doesn't suffer any security breaches etc.

Surely if confidence grows in ETH it's flexibility and speed could see it replacing BTC as top dog?

And obviously it's room for growth is much higher than BTC.

Ethereum is actually a good coin that does have somewhat of potential. Their smart contracts are always used in ICOs. This means that people who are into ICOs always, buy ether for the sake of them.

It's price increased a lot in a very short time compared with other coins. It was almost worth nothing at the beginning of the year and now it's got as high as $350. So in case of trading, yes it's totally profitable as well.

But the thing which is still kinda mysterious about ether is that they've been saying it will turn to Proof-of-stake for some time now. What will happens when it's no longer mined? Will people be still interested in it? What will happen to the price? No one knows yet.

Good idea for purchase now at this time. It's the perfect time for buyers. The trend is upside from last week. Market analysts are thinking that price may increase further in the coming weeks. Buy, hold, gain profit.

Well I'd say it's not that to buy at this price buy just one question , why now It's a few days late right ? The price stayed in the range of $230 to $250 on sept. 14 to 17. That was actually the best price to buy any cryptocoin you want.

Of course it is. Ethereum is a good coin. You'll get a good profit through it. Just choose a wise way of earning. It could be holding it while the price is still low. Wait for the right moment to sell it at a reasonable price. Another method is investment. You can invest your eth to some promising investments out there. Just be careful in choosing one so that your money will yield well.
