i see price dropping for most of top alts, is it right time to buy? or wait ?

I think that prices have fallen very much, although it is still possible to fall.

Looks like a good time to me. I've got fiat on standby, I plan to keep a close eye on the market and will probably pull the trigger within the next 24hrs

I think it is the perfect time to buy alts . Bitcoin price is down so do all alt coins as a effect of Chinese ban . Soon the bitcoin price will be stable again and will hit around 5000$ . And all alt coins price will be pump again .. so as alts price are down you should buy as much you afford .

Actually,  every dips comes up an opportunity. It depends us how can we take advantage from it. The last 3 weeks have been a correction and for the next few weeks also. As, more FUD with some more unfounded "news" here we get more cheap coins.

No! Don't buy yet. This isn't the right time. Bitcoin is set to plunge further till it visits the $2300 - $2500 region again. And we know the altcoins normally follow whatever direction the Bitcoin goes. Wait.

I do not disagree that altcoins which are lower than 1$ and has some great potential is a bad idea to buy.

I'm preparing myself for a bearish market for the next couple of months so I will be shorting for the time being. The main thing I'll have to do is find the bottom and catch a good bounce. If you look at the history of a coin you should find a decent entry point.

I think its a good time to grab some cheap alts. But watch out what you grab, a lot of alts coin still go down more. Right now a lot of alts are going down with bitcoin, but I dont think that bitcoin will go down more. I bought myself some cheap shitcoins. Good luck with trading!

Oh yes, we are now again on a bloody week probably because of the FUD about the ban in the mining on China. Take time to buy now not only alt coins but also bitcoin. And the best alt coin to buy now is ETH this is always my preferred altcoin to buy when the market is on it's reddy days. If you have some alts on hold, you can hold that and if you preferred lowered price try to wait for a day or two then buy at dip.

Certainly the best time to buy an good and promising altcoin is on the ICO with the lowest price. Even better in the Pre-Sale with bonuses you could get for a price much lower then the market value, like AUC Auctus.org (http://Auctus.org) will be doing next Oct 3rd. This time is pretty good to buy alts as prices have dropped due to China banning ICOs as many of them are just scam,people started panicking and sold their crypto.Now as the prices are don't would recommend to buy or hold them as they will rise later resulting in profits.Holding is the best option when you don't know what to do that's what I think.Always buy at low and sell at high.

yes i also agree with you that it is the best time to invest money in alt coin. as we can see that bitcoin is continuously decreasing and there i think if we widthraw our money  from bitcoin and invest it in some potentially good altcoin and very soon can get a good profit from altcoin assets, but i think it is also too important to have good knowledge and study about altcoins because there are so many altcoins which are already dead.

I think this depends on the altcoin you are investing.  If this altcoin have a huge community then it is really best to invest when it is going down,  But if the altcoin have no future then stay away from it even if this altcoin is plummeting.  I think the best time is when there is FUD lingering around the market of the coin.  Weak hand will definitely sell at a lost.  Another one is invest at its ICO stage for there is a possible bonus program for early birds.

Yes, buy now, this is the best time to have some if you have capital. Don't wait and see price dropping because you might miss the good opportunity. For example you have $100 worth of BTC to invest into altcoins you can divide it by three or four just like this one; buy now $25 of altcoin you want to buy then if tomorrow the price will still drops buy another $25 so on and so forth. I used that method of buying but unfortunately I don't have money or BTC to invest in todays dip.

Better to buy now than a few days ago. But if you desire to go long and think the prices could keep going down, you could do periodic regular smaller buys since the prices could certainly keep falling. It's impossible to time the market. If you find an opportunity to buy on the dip then buy it. Buy and hodl.

The only thing you could do is HOLD or SELL. I would not recommend you selling your coins. You can either hold all your coins until you go green or you can try to minimize your losses and recover all your money by going through a cycle of buy low and sell high. The current prices are lower and it seems like a good entry point for those who didn't get the opportunity to buy at lower prices.

Yes, I agree altcoins potentially represent a great unique opportunity to trade and get high profits. Yet lately they've been falling mostly and that allows one only to buy at one's own risk but doesn't say anything about the time profit will come. Coins are dropping and buying them is probably great but who knows, not all of them might survive the dump and become worth more. They've been mostly growing during summer and perhaps now they're just returning to what they are supposed to be.

Now is the right time because bitcoin prices go down, the effect on the market makes us have to dare to speculate, today I bought a lot of red coins and I'm sure a few more days will give a nice profit, never think too long because daily traders have to think fast .

For me, the right time to buy alts is ASAP, Bitcoins is down for a moment and it will soon rise again and be stable. Enter the market whenever you personally think its high. Then keep trading. ETH is my preference in altcoins, but it is too risky for now try some above mediocre alts to avoid some loss.

In general any kind of coin will be good to buy when the price for it is dropping in the first place. If you are not getting the right coin which is already listed in the exchanger then you might wanna consider yourself with ICO which are going to be launched soon. These coins will be sold cheapest in there pre sale phase where you can get bonuses as well. This ensures you your freedom of price when the coin is listed in the exchanger platform. The price will just explode as they will pump it from the funds raised by them.

I don't know if it's the right time, but BTC course seems quite bearish. I'd wait still a little bit, maybe a week or so, but be aware, that the course will be determined by important events. ETH hardfork, BTC hardfork, China crypto conference, etc.. In my opinion, it'll rise to new highs till christmas. I have been reading for a while that the right time to buy is always on the dips... and recently was able to follow this up once. It worked. When Bitcoin dipped all the way to 3,200, I bought an alt. Then even as Bitcoin went from $4k to now $3,600, my alt was more or less stable at the price. I suppose it would be better to have bought at the fiat value (with USDT), but the dips always work.

                        If you feel like you want to buy some, then you can have some entries by that prices, and as far as I am concern there is no specific date or time given for you to buy some alts. A tip from someone who taught me before, you can start reading charts and those candlesticks if you have time, try to analyze those, and then try to find some good entry point of a certain alternate coin.

When you see dumps of prices then its really the best time to buy or go shopping with alts as of now but be careful on the coins you would able to choose from because not all alts would tend to recover after a certain decrease of its price.This is really a hard part on most investors or even on traders too which we wont know on what would be the best coin to choose from this is why we should choose carefully not just carelessly picking up without any basis.Mostly i do choose on those coins who are on top spots and also to those coins on which i do hear some news regarding on its further development because it really works for me specially on short tradings.

No one can guess the last point of downfall of market but it is really good time to put 50% of your funds in altcoins as many altcoins dropped a bit, but still market can drop some more. Wait for that and put balance funds at next drop. This way, you average out your purchasing and get better profit due to averaging of price.

when I look the prices of alts is under the ico price and I would definitely buy, I thought it was the right time to buy. but you also have to look at some of the potential and not indiscriminate. at a minimum you should also be able to see the chart, is still in a downward trend or increased.
 

if you want to buy altcoin, make sure you can analyze the coins, don't use buy instan but place an order to buy and if the price is going down again, you can cancel your order to move into low price. make sure you pick the right coins after you selecting and watch the trend of the coins before you decide to buy.

Nobody knows what is China doing and how much that will affect the market. We must wait and see...

Also, end of year is closing and some people will sell to acquire money for holidays. That will affect the market too.

Some cryptos are at their all time lows though. So maybe it is a good time to buy, at least for those.

Right time to buy alts is when bitcoin is at long term lows and nobody is talking about it. Picking up LTC @ 0.002 kinda prices etc.  Right now people are very excited about crypto its best to hold bitcoin to preserve your crypto wealth with the least effort.  Holding alts right now means you'd need heavy research daily.

+1 The bull is over now, most ICOs are in a perpetual state of "nothing happening". The bull has been over since early July infact, with the Chinese exchanges gone the money has vanished. Remember there literally is no bottom in the altcoin market, you can lose everything.... Bitcoin is the one to hold.

Most of cases most altcoin holders do end up on this one which they would hold up altcoin for long specially when they did miss the peak price or the last pump of the coin and tend to wait again hoping that it would pump up again and as you said we wont really know on what would be the limit or its bottom price since they are really unpredictable depending on the interest of community together with a slight manipulation on prices.

Yes it is time to buy some in order to earn some when the price come back to its normal price. That is a good strategy when it become to a short time investment because you can gain a lot in just a short period of time. Actually I buy a lot of ethereum when their price drops and know that they are slowly getting pump and rising their price I already have an easy profit without even doing anything. It always good to buy alts at low prices because they are just being dumped due to increased price. When this happens you get the chance for next pump that will happen after sometime in future to grab your profits from the investments you made. There is no risk in the acts which are popular and top listed because for these getting pumped is easy and they are reliable one.

Do not make this move with acts which are not in top 20 or so because from there onwards the investment becomes very risky. You never know when the volume of trade for these coins will get drained up completely and you will loose all that you have. It has happened with me two times do I can tell. It's a good time to buy right now.  For the most part they have consolidated slightly below where we are now and have been ticking up for the past couple days.  This is a great sign as the market was due for breakout either way after consolidating.

However, for popular coins you can ignore the lower value or waiting for them to go down and then buy them because you can simply trust these coins in long term investment. But look at it now it's hundred times bigger in value than it use to be before. So it's always good to keep buying the altcoins and keep stacking up them for future purpose. For me every price drops it is always a good opportunity to buy altcoins and it will surely gives you a good return in the future. During Segwit, FUD or even bad news prices are in dip so much better to buy that time and waiting the right timing is not always that good because we can't tell the highest peak and the lowest dip. My strategy is this; If I have $100 capital I will divide it by four. Just for example todays price is down so I will buy $25 in altcoins but if tomorrows  price still drop buy another $25 so on and so forth until I will fully invested all my $100.

What you have mentions are very good alt coins. Zrx for example is 0x, which is the building protocol for decentralise exchange. As you may have known that china is closing down on exchanges, decentralise exchange will make it hard for any government to close down. A similar recent ico is kyber and kyber has the backing of vitalik which is the cofounder of ethereum. However, please be careful on what you are buying, because not all the coins are good investment. In fact, most of the coin will be phrase out when better competitor come to the picture.

Prices would still drop but it's a good time to buy. This is the only time now that etherium and litecoin didn't go with the price of bitcoin. For the past weeks when bitcoin price went down these two alt coin prices went down also, now that bitcoin is shooting up eth and ltc are still down. It's very hard to predict what will happen next.

there are only two times when i ever buy an altcoin:

1. when i see a recent history of stable price with it staying at a reasonable range with little fluctuations and then leading to a big pump. i buy before the pump happens to sell on top.

2. when there is a huge dump and price tanks hard. that is a good short term investment. you buy in the dip after the dump slowed down and finished and hope you did well speculating and sell in a very short time after it recovered (also known as Dead Cat Bounce).

The right time to buy altcoins should not depend on the price of Bitcoin .It is the right time to buy  when you have your strategies in place. Remember not all coins are good investment .You look for coins trading below value  and review their price history.Purchase as much as you can afford and wait for the time when the value will go up. You have to be patient and sell when price is high.

Yes i think so, the condition price of all altcoins at this time seems to be right to buy altcoins before the price goes back higher. Your second point describes the time I usually buy alts, especially if the price drops near all time lows that are less than 30% of their regular highs. This way, I know even if it only recovers to the level it always struggles at, I can still make a decent 10-15% profit. Also, this does not really apply if I see a alt that was after a recent ICO as it is too early to tell the swings. I tend to wait until it has been around for a minimum of six months.

last week we have seen the dump in the whole altcoin market and some of the high potential coin has dump their price upto half from price at that time.
right now the price of many coins like litecoin , bitcoin cash and many other coins has not recover to that level so, i think right now it is a good time to buy although the price of the bitcoin has recover to its previous price.

OP, it's abruptly not the correct time to get in alts because the dump may continue and few may also witness the death of some very overvalued alts in the near future unless we see Bitcoin get down a bit. It isn't a rumor but a reality that I have seen that whenever Bitcoin starts to rally hard, alts get dumped down to levels that aren't even the starting point from where these used to increase. It's the general nature of us that we try to get out of alts and start trading Bitcoins when we see much more liquidity in it alone.

lol, yeah. i think there is no real pattern on buying altcoins, bitcoins or any other coins.  all of them are completely random and some just happens on a co incident event. yet you must still do your own research in order to decide properly on what coin is the best and perfect for you because depending on some others strategy is sometimes wont work for you but based on todays value i suggest it is still recomended to buy altcoins because they are still cheap.

For me yes. 3 days ago i bought about 2K clam at range 50K and very unexpected, now its value has grown to 70K  ;D. It seems profits i got big enough. Provided we are observant to see potential of altcoin. This is a great moment to buy altcoin.

It was because the value of Bitcoins got stabilized at 7395 and was stuck between 7300 - 7500 and so, alts started to rise but still stay calm as these altcoins' bull trend could be a trap currently as BTC is not going to stop yet. It's always better to get out with 10-20% profits which are still better than waiting for long and seeing the same coins going down even below your buy price.

Currently, yes I do recommend buying cheap altcoins now because what I have noticed is that most coins have low value compared to BTC and ETH and I think this coins will go up in the next months/years eg. Electroneum. Do your own research because you need to decide which you think will give you a good profit in the future.

prices are always fluctuating in the crypto market, it's normal and part of the entire ecosystem. It's rather strange for most new joiners and not as they would usually expect, they see these huge fluctuations and their assets are one day -20 and the other +60%.. but that's quite common and it's due to the low market capitalization these coins have. Don't let this deter you or be a reason for not investing into altcoins, because altcoins offer some of the best returns out there in our current financial system. The only way you can make more profit is probably by creating your own company and trying to do what they are doing, but besides that it's a great way to invest for some short and even long-term gains.

I am not buying at this pump. It seems like everything is raising without any solid news other thank BTC is in ATH territory. Once it retracts it will pull the entire market with it. i didnt really see that bitcoins price is stabilizing and it wont really happen due the fact that bitcoin is  highly volatile. the price of bitcoin and altcoin are totatlly different or independent and they are not tied to each other. bitcoins dont hold the future price of altcoins and altcoins dont dictate the value of bitcoin (vice versa ) . overall the right time to buy altcoins is when they on the dip a.k.a buy low sell high is the best method to follow and will possibly work all the time though you can opt and wait even more further for their value to drop because altcoins usually drop hard based on my own observations.

I think right now we have a main crash of all altcoins today and I am going to suspect this will continue for the rest of 2018. I guess we can just hold for the meantime.
