If you compare the two main cryptocurrency, namely Bitcoin and Ethereum, which one has the most promising future?
In terms of evolution, Bitcoin reached a maximum of roughly 4800$, whereas Ethereum reached roughly 394$: in other words, it is a potential increase of 33 % for Ethereum, but only 24% for Bitcoin.

i think bitcoin is the best but dont underestimate eth because i think a few years this will be similar to bitcoin,i can predict it because see the price of eth now and the exchange matters it going so wide and a little more i think its will be similar in bitcoin

It is difficult to predict something for the future as crypto-currencies are not regulated by anyone, but bitcoin appeared first and is very popular. I think for safety you need to keep money in different coins.

You compare BTC vs ETH not fair, the value of BTC is x10 the value of ETH so 1% btc ~ 10% ETH.

of course no one can compare bitcoin, but if seen from now does not allow eth price can rival bitcoin in the future but surely very long for it. the most striking difference is that a person is more familiar with bitcoin than ethereum.

Etherum really made a break this year. The creator of Etherum Vitalik Buterins is a usual face on the mass media, he is totally not so mysterious like Satoshi Nakomoto. I think the next year Etherum will rich 1000$ point and that is mostly cause of the interest to crypto-currencies is growing and Etherum seems must better investment than Bitcoin, it's much cheaper. I do also invest in Etherum, I think Etherum is going to be like silver after Bitcoin's gold.

If you talk about promising future, i think every cryptocurrency share the same future and its not just bitcoin and ethereum. Bitcoin is the pioneer of cryptocurrency so it makes sense if the price surge following the years of booming trend, but if you compare about the sharing percentage prices of both then i think both of the price had surge exponentially compared to the recent publicity in these few years  ;D ;D

Most promising is one having the strongest community and reliable users, i think meeting this criteria bitcoin is still leading because people in the market trust bitcoin more than any other cryptcocurrencies and they invest in it without any fear of loss. To make ethereum more valuable and promising a major shift would be required of users from bitcoin to ethereum, which is in fact doesn't seems possible.

in comparison to Bitcoin and Ethereum, I think Bitcoin has already made a good impression in this market. on the other hand, Etherium is considered as the most potential cryptocurrency for the future. but if you compare on the basis of current situation then Bitcoin would be the best for me. because it has become a popular currency in the virtual world. all other cryptocurrencies are following the trends the Bitcoin closely.

If you are only using that calculation as a basis to determine which one is better in the two option, then you will be wrong in two ways

1. You only compare at a point in time and not over time. Which means at that point, the percentage might be favorable to ethereum but over the years bitcoin is better off and don't also forget the way bitcoin has been a subject of target over time.

2. You also did not consider the one that takes most hit in times of crash with that put together you can make a decisive decision.

I think It is really wrong to make comparasion as  bitcoin increased 24% , ethereum 33% increased. You cannot value their superiority with this way. Bitcoin is dollar for cyprocurrency world and ethereum can just be euro in this world. Bitcoin get strength from being first online currency and being more widespread . Ethereum needs more time to be more successful than bitcoin.

We cant tell what might happen in the future, because it is a trading system.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that people have been associated with and so it is common for crypto enthusiasts to use and support bitcoin. But there are reasons why Ethereum was created and this is highlighted by its founders profoundly. Now it is upto the users to decide whether to use bitcoin or ethereum and what to invest in. Both are good and both are having a good future. But what to invest depends on the discretion of the trader and not what one thinks as good or bad.

Both of them is a very great coins, but if I must choose I will go with Bitcoin, I think Bitcoin will be harder to die because we can really used the coin in a local shop and in the future there will be more people accepting Bitcoin than eth, because bitcoin popularity is better than eth

Bitcoins are made earlier than erethreum. Bitcoins are built with locks and firmity for secure functions. Unlike erethreum that are built with the framework of bitcoins but with simplicity that is why it has a broader base that can build a bigger market. So what bitcoins lack is present in erethreum.
Although bitcoin can be developed like erethreum, it will be hard to change its strong foundations. Erethreum was made with a tool that unlocks it time to time. That is why there are faster transactions than bitcoins.
But I still I see Bitcoin's future than erethreum although it's possible that erethreum will be as popular as bitcoin.

i am still new here but i have read some about these two. bitcoins are used in general but due to some hackers i guess, they were able to come up with building new coins with same roots and added what they have not seen in bitcoin making it popular too. they also said that it is easier to profit in erethreum but i would still prefer Bitcoin than altcoins even erethreum is promising. i haven't tried anything yet. school activities keep me away from this forum but i always keep myself updated in the news.

although the bitcoin increase is only 24% but if compared in terms of price then the bitcoin increase is much higher. I think ethereum still has a lot of things in the future later to grow but bitcoin shows a good development so I think I prefer bitcoin if promising in the future.

Not all use those numbers. It depends on usage and real value not price.
I see a lot of trust with bitcoin as an asset while ETH is trusted due to ICO's that are coming by and using the ERC20. With this happening, Ethereun keeps on growing and also it is the one most used to buy their ICO token or be invested the new projects.
I think both are essential for the upgrade of the crypto world.

There was a time not long ago that people think that Ethereum will replaced bitcoin as the top crypto currency. This is what they called "Flippening". However, it didn't came into reality because that time they are a lot of ICO that used Ethereum as investment platform that's why the price of it surges to $400. But it has died down and the topic was never discussed again. So I guess being the first and well known, bitcoin has advantage over Ethereum, no doubt about that. But bitcoin has been growing rapidly as compared to Ethereum. So as for the future, its gonna be still bitcoin on top.

Both of them have futures. Different devs are improving each project. But I think bitcoin has the most advantage of two because it is the baseline of all the cryptocurrency today. Many promising projects compete but who knows who will succed because in the end, they are all volatile.

Bitcoin still holds number one place as far as the popularity and adoption and even acceptance is concerned. Bitcoin has a bright future as it has huge support base on the other hand ethereum has also gained traction in the recent past and continue to be second choice of most of cryptocurrency lovers so imo bitcoin and ethereum both have the potential to stay in the market for long and both of bitcoin and ethereum are the best coins. I don't think ethereum will replace bitcoin as far as popularity, adoption and acceptance is concerned any time in the near future though.

Bitcoin is the real cyrpto currency, Ethereum is an Alt always remember it. Bitcoin is decentralised and Eth is not, Ico often use eth based contracts and as we know most of them turn out scam. Bitcoin has a bigger number of users and eth has less, Bitcoin is the best, eth is second best, eth may go but Bitcoin won't ever go. I have never purchased eth, will never ever purchase eth.

I think there is room for both, on the basis that they are doing somewhat different things. There is also room for other altcoins. This I suspect isnt goin to be a winner takes all contest. IF you look at commodities trading markets there are many variants - the same will be true of crypto.

Are you still asking it?  I can understand your question if when eth at $ 1400 but for now i think you already know the answer. however bitcoin is more promising in profits even though the price for one bitcoin is quite high.

I think your logic is flawed, because for it to be valid requires the assumption that both coins have an equal probability of going back up to their respective ATH valuations within a specific timeframe. There is no way you can make this assumption as there are too many other variables to consider as well.

I think it will be hard to know now, when seen with the development of bitcoin from other coins is clear, bitcoin is better because it is expensive nowadays.
No one knows whether bitcoin will survive until the future, or eth disappears from the world of cryptocurrency.

It seems to me that Ethereum can come even close to compete with bitcoin. Firstly, bitcoin is more common. Secondly, bitcoin has a limit in production and it protects it from inflation. In the third bitcoin does more prospects of recognition by governments that will give an even greater increase in the capitalization of the currency.

Bitcoin is far superior in this comparison simply because it is accepted much more widely than Eth, hence the value is much higher too.
But Eth has stood 2nd in the market cap for very long now, so maybe it also has a prosperous future like bitcoin. But Bitcoin will remain number 1 in this battle.

We know bitcoin and ethereum are on the top volume market capitalization as we saw in chart of coinmarketcap but these two has advantages and disadvantages between each other. For me, the advantage of ethereum, he has the faster transaction than bitcoin and the advantage of bitcoin, we can now buy directly a thing without converting bitcoin into cash because of its popularity.

whenever bitcoin crashes, etherium will crash 2-3x as hard.. because ico's will start cashing out all their etheriums. i think bitcoin has less inflation and is safer long term investment.

I think Ethereum have a better technology then bitcoin, because of the platform and smart-contracts if you compare price 394$ and 4300$ that's not right because they have different amount of coins comparing can be only at marketcap

I think that is a common aspect of bitcoin and if bitcoin is not limited and has an unlimited amount of block then bitcoin will don't have a value anymore, there is no such thing as supply and demand anymore if there is no equilibrium between the two, and there are no desires for buyer anymore to buy bitcoin because the relationship between the two will surely crumble.

Till now Ether hasn't shown any downward trend and this surprises me quite a lot. I thought that the exchange rates may drop after the ICO ban in many nations, including China. But on the other hand, the prices have remained extremely stable, at around BTC0.065 - BTC0.075.

yes it is, but it takes time. it needs big whales or a big investor who will invest eth that will make eth become in demand.
if the rule of demand will apply here, as long as many investors will buy eth the supply will short, and that could be the reason to increase the demand, and it will have a big impact to its price.

Although the increased potential of bitcoin is now much lower than that of etherum but the probability of bitcoin is great for achieving a much higher value. Bitcoin is much more desirable and also the market share of bitcoin is much higher. Look at this time bitcoin has started to have a lot of market. Both are playing a vital role in the cryptocurrency world. if you want to compare Bitcoin with Etherium then you have to judge based on popularity and acceptability. then you can get the best result of this issue. for me, Bitcoin is still now better then Etherium because of price value and acceptability.

I think bitcoin is still more profitable than bitcoin, it's because bitcoin users are still much larger than etherum. But did not rule out etherum is much more profitable than bitcoin.

While ETH may still see some growth, I still see see BTC as having the brighter future.

There are 3 major flaws in Ethereum that prevent me from believing in its long-term viability:

1) Ethereum's turing complete scripting language just calls for trouble and neither the DAO nor the Parity hack are going to be last of their kind. And unlike crypto-currency exchange hacks, this is indeed a problem with Ethereum itself, not just the centralized infrastructure.

2) ETH as a currency is easily replacable and there's little to no motivation for major businesses to actually build upon the ETH chain as opposed to a private, permissioned ledger -- ie. the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance is more or less a sham. The "businesses" that are currently being built upon the canonical Ethereum blockchain are unfortunately mostly scammy or at least very questionable ICOs.

3) ETH is suffering from a high amount centralization in that the dev team controls a disproportionate amount of ETH and with the upcoming switch to PoS will also control a lot of staking power. So instead of the checks and balances of BTC, ie. Developers vs Miners vs Holders you get an unquestioned Trifecta that has enough power to simply reverse transactions by forking off the main chain and still become the canonical Ethereum blockchain. Call me idealistic, but creating a hard fork to reverse a smart contract that you yourself fucked up is a huge red flag for me, even though it's unlikely to happen again.

It's difficult to predict anything since bitcoin appeared much earlier and the etherium will take more time to reach a level like bitcoin. Time will show who will be stronger.

I can say that the price of ether always depend on bitcoin (?). you can see the graph of eth and compare it to bitcoin, it have the same pump and dump time. maybe the ETH traders always follow bitcoin price for some reason.
but can't say that its bad, eth becoming resistant to regulation about ICO, maybe because the demands from ICO has decreased.

comparing two things that have nothing in common is wrong and even dumb.
bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that the world knows. the rest of them will always carry a big sign on their foreheads saying "ALT-coin".
besides ETH is not a coin. it is a token to be used only on the platform itself for smart contract purposes or as you may know it "to participate in ICO scams"

as for investments, for long term everyone always looks to bitcoin and nothing else. altcoins such as ETH are only good for short term investments while they are getting pump and dumped.

Bitcoin vs Ethereum is a non contest. It is like, as Trace Mayer likes to say, the Chicago Bulls when they had Jordan, against a high school basketball team. The developer talent isn't even comparable.

Obviously bitcoin has the most promising in the future, no doubt that's why many people are trying to get more bitcoins right now while the price is still not too high. I don't have anything against eth as it has some potential too but for me it's just a bubble and if you want to get some good profit go with Ethereum because of it's erc 20 tokens. But talking about in the future, I can see bitcoin will dominate.

In My own understanding, Bitcoin and Ethereum is just the same coin crypto currency.
It's Either you convert Ethereum to Bitcoin or Bitcoin to Ethereum.

Nobody knows what will Happen in its price in the Future
but One thing is For sure, Everybody who has Bitcoin or Ethereum will be Happy.

Bitcoin and ethereum were the assets that function in a similar manner on varied platforms. Each has some correlation with each other. With the growth happens in a gradual manner which at present stays above $4250. With ethereum price pumping was mentioned as unexpected and an temporary one, but the growth continued without flaws and falls make it popular.

According to me i think ethereum will have the most promising future. Because Bitcoin is already so much expensive and on other side ethereum is cheaper as compare to Bitcoin. So people will invest on ethereum because of good money back in future. Even ethereum demand will also increase in future which leads to increase in the money value. :)

If we compare their value than one thing come in mind when the btc price rise than eth also rise. Why ETH is rising and falling with bitcoin ?

if you see the technology both have their own respects.
you've seen the difference fundamentally. and you are questioning again, for me, this is very simple. basically the bitcoin value is so far away with the eth value, the future potential is more attached to bitcoin because it has a large user and fan.

If you are looking at numbers,check back the numbers when the price of bitcoin started to increase in 2013 ,from below $100 it jumped to over $1000 in a short period of time ,so do not compare these sort of burst from a short period of time,just image the over all potential of bitcoin and Ethereum, you could clearly understand that the potential of bitcoin is far bigger than any other currency and i am not here to call Ethereum a currency in the first place, :P so hope you understand the reality and who has the potential. ;)

In my opinion bitcoins is the mother of all other alt coins , it is the first digital crypto currency that gained such momentum and a value touching $4900.
Bitcoins would always be seen as a currency cum asset.
It is obvious that bitcoin would never fall because of the huge community behind it and the rate of increase in users.
But know one know what future is holding , ETH is a great project which is also gaining value , it has a good potential to come up .
It would be very hard for ethereum  to overcome bitcoins and chances are that they may never overpower BItcoins.

Bitcoin is the standard measure for cryptocurrency and ethereum could surpass bitcoin's price but could not dominate adaptability. Just like foreign currency dollar, is the standard but some currency surpassed its value like Euro, Pound and Dinar but dollar is everywhere. For innovations and flexibility ethereum is the best.

This is, in my view, an apples and oranges comparison. Bitcoin has the first-mover advantage and the most recognized brand name, whereas Ethereum is a next generation cryptocurrency with the ability to use smart contracts. Ethereum can evolve quicker, but this is with more centralized control. Both are good coins.

Comparing bitcoin with EThereum is trying to create a rivalry where there is none and this is something ETH enthusiasts are fond of doing the moment they can have an argument to their advantage such as this and even when such is not sustainable. Both coins have their own route and comparing ETH with bitcoin wouldn't even happen if not for the token creation make available for ICOs that have increased the value ETH without that, I don't see ETH price going beyond $100 in a long time.

Its early days yet for these 2 - there are a number of others showing promise too, ARK, Waves etc for functionality and the likes of DeepOnion for privacy. The recent highs will I am sure look very modest in times to come. I have printed out a copy of the current market caps of the top 800 or so coins at coinmarketcap and I am pretty certain when I look at it in 1, 2, 5 and 10 years time I am going to cry as to why I didn't sell my dog to buy all around me.

Both Bitcoin and Ethereum are valuable crypto currencies and profitables. But Bitcoin still the best as it have the biggest community around the world, and also its price is a lot higher than ETH.
ETH nowadays is mainly used by tokens holders and traders, and to generate profit from the ICO projects. The crypto currency is also profitable if you plan to trade it

Bitcoin is the premier cryptocurrency success and by far better and widely used than ethereum. Ethereum is best used for trading or gambling but in a lot of other ways/usage Bitcoin is preferred over ethereum.

It is irrelevant to compare the two coins because they have different coin supply and date it was made. The higher the price,  the harder it is to pump.

Actually it isn't judging by the fact that this currency is still holding strong after countries like China or South Korea put regulations on ICO's. This shows that many people actually do use this currency like the average person would use USD.

Bitcoin is very popular because it is the first. Ether is something else. But the etherium has a leader - Buterin. Bitcoin does not have a leader. It is possible that in the future the etherium will be the most serious competitor for bitcoin.

Ethereum is very promising because he has an ideological leader - the vitalik. But bitcoin appeared first and he had his own advantage. I think it will be a serious struggle.

Ethereum is a very interesting project, i really like their technology and how it works, it is something that i love so much more than bitcoin, but it would never be better than bitcoin, because ethereum was the second, and it will always be like this until someone takes it's chair. anyway, bitcoin will always be the best, and all newbies will always choose bitcoin instead of any other altcoin.

For long term investment, I'd go with Bitcoin but for short term, ETH I think is better. Bitcoin has a much larger market value compared to ETH but Etherium is usually used in most ICOs that makes its market demand high and its market price, continuously increasing. Both are good by the way, maybe it just depends on the individual and his/her perceptions.

First, you need to define what kind of future as can be in the case of their utility or as a means of saving, both currencies are excellent but each one plays a different role, so simply comparing it in a single aspect seems to be unfair of who it's better or worse.

They are 2 different things and serve different purposes. ETH as of this moment is mainly an investment, not really a payment platform yet. The main reason why ETH is so popular at this moment is because of all the ICO tokens that are given out.

Me too, I'm not that really a fan of ETH but I'm a holder of it but when it comes to this thing I would definitely say that bitcoin is the best. No other alt coin can have it's success now and Eth is just keep on creating nonsense ICOs that makes it's reputation bad now but it's not that really bad though because it's just all about making money and it has something in that potential. But when it comes to projects and future, bitcoin has it.

Whatever happens in the near future, if ethereum surpass bitcion or not the good thing is that both of it has the potential to increase its price.

It is really hard to compare both since they don't have the same value in the market as of the moment. ETH's price is just a tiny little bit of BTC's price if we compare them both. I am a fan of BTC, why? because it was there before other alt coins emerged in the market. ETH is very promising, no doubt about that. People gained its trust as its founder can be always seen on social media so it has the higher chance of being the next BTC.

Same with me here, eth was only my trading gateway to bitcoin but in exact phase of earnings I really chooses bitcoin. Bitcoin stability really been doing such promising and fast rising price to have a reliable and valuable assets of investments. So most of the investors were now thinking wide idea about it's potential increase with a limitless capability of aiming huge value.

bitcoin is still the number cryptocurrencies in the market but we don't know if ethereum will pass it because eth have a potential to be the number one maybe some of you say no because bitcoin will be the number of all but we can't predict the future let's just wait and see what will be the outcome in the next 5 years or more.

For me ethereum is a good coin to trade for now and if you're aiming huge value than that, I guess it's very hard for bitcoin to go further because the value nowadays is very fluctuating. Even if ethereum isn't that high of it's current sell value I think it still a good trading asset to invest for now, and in fact most of the altcoins campaigns were in eth platform exchanges. That's why I am positive that eth will going to pump up for the next weeks to come, just like before.

I'll go for bitcoin for sure. Giving the fact that its value on the market landed him on the top spot above ether and other cryptocurrencies. Ether on the other hand is also promising since its value is also rising and i think few years from now, its value can match bitcoin's value but during that time, i think bitcoin may triple its value then.

It is true that is quite hard for us to know the future of a specific coin, if you are going to invest on an ethereum or a bitcoin you will also need to know the trend and the graph of the price of bitcoin in order for us to know what is the best decision for us to earn more. And if you want to earn more , the best thing to do is to invest on both crypto-currency so if they would both achieve development you will have a bigger profit and a good earnings in the future.

Maximum reach? No I guess it is still far from the maximum reach and there is no maximum unlesscand until investors stop putting the money into both the currencies. To be honest ethereum is living for so long because it's been used as medium for smart contract investments. Further if we talk abut bitcoin then it's simple that the maximum increase depends on how much money we are putting into it. I mean there is limit for market capitalisation and it will keep going on.

Crypto currencies are not regulated by anyone so it is hard to predict when what will happen to their prices.

You can't just focus on price to try to decide which one is better. I think you need to focus on functionality, and bitcoin and ethereum have different objectives and are not really competing right now. The way I see it, ethererum is completely focused on ICO's and it works more like a big crowdfunding platform. I think most of the ethereum transaction are made by people funding ICOs created in the network. Bitcoin doesn't really allow that, and works more like a way to store value, so it's more like an investment on itself. It's also a great way to make a transaction, at least of high values.
I think BTC will work better as a currency or a way so store value, and that's where the big investors like to put their money on.

As for the network itself, it's said that ethererum still holds some bugs, and that it might have problems again in the future. I can't really talk about that, but I feel I can trust bitcoin more.

Although Ethereum is also a good altcoin with great potential but I think in next 10 years Ethereum can't beat Bitcoin price and stand at the 1st place cause it's a long way to go from 300$ to more than 4000$. Bitcoin is the most well known and widely accepted store of value in the crypto world. It is what everything derives value from. If Bitcoin loses, everything goes down because then nothing else would be able to gain the same kind of acceptance.

Ethereum promises development of Distributed apps and enable smart-contracts using blockchain. This can allow business between two parties using ETH. Right now their biggest problem is scaling and it seems that the developers may have under-estimated the issue of having hundreds/ thousands of apps run on a decentralized server formed of those mining GPU's. If they can find a way around that, ETH will probably flourish, otherwise, I think its not going to stay too relevant.

The same scaling issues haunt bitcoin too but for Ethereum, the issues are on a different and much larger scale.

I think it should not be the way to look at it. If a certain coin is considered growing and is still low in price, huge growth in percentage is very much normal and expected. That is why it is quite common for us to see coins right now that acquire a 100% or even bigger growth. These are the cheaper yet promising coins. But when it grows big in value already, such huge growth in percentage cannot easily be reached. Say, the coin is already valued at $9,000, you cannot expect such coin to jump to $18,000 quickly.

For me Bitcoin still the first or major crypto currency now. It depends on the demand of particular currency. Bitcoin is very powerful, demand of  Bitcoin nowadays is very large compare to other currency. But what I like in ethereum is, the transaction fee is very low compare to bitcoin, very fast to finish the transaction compare to bitcoin.

Surely i will pick bitcoin over ethereum because the former is stable, tested through time, and very resilient and dominant in the crypto world. Actually in a word,these two coins now dominated in the whole alt coin platform.Two coins are more effective for in future.But I fully support BTC because alt coin depend on BTC that's why it's position above all I think.Ethereum is my second choice.I hope it will be touched 5k$ in December 2018.

The day when people realize that not all Altcoins are alternatives to Bitcoin will be a happy one. There are too many people who believe there’s only one cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) and that all others should fail. Not all coins are meant for the same thing. Bitcoin is meant as a currency, ETH as a smart contract token, IOTA specifically for the IoT industry etc. Both coins and others have sky high ceilings that don’t have to be tied together.  They aren’t tied together.

For me bitcoin still have the crown for the supremacy in crypto currency because of its popularity and high value. But I think time will come and ethereum will reign and over come bitcoin. Ethereum is being used as platform by most ICO's and because of that many crypto fanatics like me will save ethereum for the future.

It will be a fierce competition but i think ethereum will never exceed bitcoin in term of price, as we all know bitcoin has lower supply than ethereum and bitcoin as a pioneer in cryptocurrency market has gone a long way, not to mention lots of hardforks. Again you can see today in 2018 that Ethereum is growing more than bitcoin. Yes it btc price grew 2 times,but ethereum grew more and it's closer to maximum price then bitcoin. Btc today is like 11.7k(was 20k max) and etherum is 1.25k(1.5k max). You can compare that. And supply of bitcoin is limited,ETH has no limits. I can see by numbers that ETH has brighter future then bitcoin.

If we will see towards the price of the etherium then that is about 10 times less than what hat the bitcoin have . And also at another factor we can see that you were thinking that 4800$ for 1 btc is maximum price but here you can see that in the recent month it crosses the about 20k$ per btc , so we can understand well that the price can be reach at any level easily according to demand and here we should not compare these both these two technology coin and also Thier limit in the price and use both of them equally to make profit from trading.

Bitcoin is stronger, its double from that price even after very high top, ethereum had its top over 1.000$ but now price is the same as in october last year. To make ethereum more valuable and promise big changes will require users from bitcoin to ethereum, which in reality is not possible.
but the two will co-exist as the top criptocurancy, in which bitcoin is gold, and etereum is silver, both of which will be stable for investment purposes.

They are both have unique features and they need each other in order for the cryptocurrency to remain strong, so I strongly believe that we need both of them for us to have a great foundation, we don't need to compare them as I strongly agree that they are both profitable.

Ethereum only looks good because it has jumped the gun. Rootstock will be available for Bitcoin soon. What then?

It is difficult to predict something for the future. Because crypto-coins are not controlled by anyone. But I think Bitcoin and Ethereum, the future is a lot better.
In my opinion, it depends on your investment. If you invest more money then Bitcoin should invest in it and Ethereum is investing less.

Ethereum seems to have a very big potential in it. But Bitcoin cannot be easily displaced by Ethereum. Because Bitcoin has been among the cryptocurrencies for a very long time. Because of that situation, people trust Bitcoin more than Ethereum. But I think that Ethereum can catch up with Bitcoin in the future.

For me they are both great currency but bitcoin has the greatest price thats why i choose bitcoin than ethereum. But if say you want to invest an ico then ill go to ethereum for quick recieving token. Because there are lot of issue that if you use bitcoin in ico there chances that your token will not arrieved but you can contact that admin so they can resolve. But its hassle not like ethereum

Comparing bitcoin and Ethereum, bitcoin is better. As at now bitcoin has a higher value than Ethereum. Moreover bitcoin has always been the leading crypto

There is nothing wrong in believing a token creating platform rather than an actual currency, i am in this market simply because of bitcoin and ETH have the potential but when you look at the long term potential there is no denying that bitcoin is the only coin that could assure you some wild price moving forward.

Bitcoin and ethereum have great potential in the future, thats what i am believe. But with higher price on bitcoin, I am prefer holding on ethereum because ethereum used by many platform and I am believe ethereum can reach $1200 again and maybe can higher

I think they serve different purposes, and therefore think we should support both projects.   I believe both will continue to flourish.

Both are good and quite promising but I will go with bitcoin. Bitcoin is the most powerful cryptocurrency right now and has prove its dominance for many years. Although ethereum is good the only downside is it is not as widely accepted and as popular as bitcoin. Bitcoin being the first cryptocurrency means it is more popular than any cryptocurrency out there. Ethereum has its good qualities as well like being more stable than bitcoin and you can't go wrong with that.

When comparing BTC and ETH, I find BTC more valuable, because it is the king of crypto. Although BTC has no practical application but it is welcome everyone, so its price is very high

If such calculations ethereum still win in percent on appeal with bitcoin. But it will be very difficult for the ethereum to beat the bitcoin prices that are already at the top and difficult to be followed by another alt coin. Maybe in the future there is alt coin that can equate the price with bitcoin.

It's hard to predict btc's movement it is still cryptocurrency anytime it can go up and down it depends on how healthy the market is.

I always compare the price of bitcoin and etherum, why can't etherum pass the bitcoin? after I read and studied it, it turns out the basic theory that affects the price of crypto is supply and demands. we take the example of bitcoin, bitcoin supply is 21 million, and now its circulation is almost reaching the limit and demands on bitcoin is very high makes its price rise to the moon, because it can be called as a rare asset. whereas etherum, the supply of etherum is unlimited, and although demands of high etherum even pass through bitcoin, but the price of etherum is difficult to pass the bitcoin because unlimited supply of etherum.

As of now, you can say that Bitcoin is the king of the crypto. But that is not going to remain so forever. For example, the market dominance of Bitcoin has once again fallen below the 40% mark. This is close to the all-time lows (I guess the all time low was 32%, which was reached in December 2017).

I guess both have the same potential in growth but I am more in favor of bitcoins. Sure, bitcoins are expensive to transfer and is slow to transact with, but I'm pretty sure there are kinks that can be addressed once these problems have been erased. Bitcoins will be perfected once we get these problems taken away.

I think, Bitcoin and ethereum has the same promising future. They both has the same high value that can help for the future. Even though Bitcoin has the highest value of all, I know eth can do it. And the addition is they both have a fast transaction.

Surely i will pick bitcoin over ethereum because the former is stable, tested through time, and very resilient and dominant in the crypto world.
