I am not interested in trying to guess when BTC crashes, everyone knows it will one day, I want to figure out how to make money from the crash.

Any ideas?

Well the easiest but least interesting is to sell now, if you are holding.
You could short Bitcoin on Bitfinex or other exchanges, but if Bitcoin really crashes, I wouldn't want my money in Bitfinex!

You can short Bitcoin using markets like IG. The amount you need to 'bet' is very high though, so it is dangerous unless you are already rich.

Some will say that you should buy alts, I disagree. If Bitcoin crashed, I doubt the others will stay high. If bitcoin fell to a $5bill market cap, I am 100% confident that it wouldn't be behind 11 other coins when if reached that level!

There's no real way in telling when the crash 'if any' might happen. It might even only correct to a shallow price level before commencing its next uptrend. We'll never know until it happens.

You could hedge with bitcoincash - it seems to move in the opposite direction to bitcoin. Alternatively, as others have said, you could sell now and buy back lower. Or diversify into alts.

I don't recommend short-selling though - the time frames they impose are very short (about 5 weeks to 12 weeks) and you could easily be right about the direction and wrong about the timing.

I am sorry but you lost the opportunity this time mate. It was yesterday a great time to grab bitcoin when it traded in less than $15K now it's price accelerated once again to above $17K.
No one exactly knows when the market will crash and when will it reach to a new peak. You just have to guess it from the situation and take advantage of it.

A simple way to gain profit from a crash is to buy bitcoin after it happens then sell after the price recovers. I can't think of other way than this method but I don't think it is the only method some used to gain profit after a crash, but this method is simple and less hassle if you just want to get profit without offering a service, doing it every time it happens can make a big income for you. Just to make sure the buy/sell does not have much difference because if so your effort will be wasted.

Two and they are to short it or sell it buy back in. If you want to keep your average bitcoin price down don't do the second but if you are confident it will go down you can short it with small leverage of 2-5x. That way you will likely won't get stopped out and you make some money (not a lot of course).

Bitcoin will not crash for sure, some correction after huge surge is normal and we can't call it as dump or crash.

The only way to profit from such correction is to sell at peak price and buy back when it will be dumped/corrected a little bit like right now.

We will see... as long as we stay above $15k, I feel confident about a new time high in no more than a week, but if we keep diping, things could get troublesome. BCH though has caused a new problem in the Bitcoin cycle though and we need more data to come in over the coming days to work where this is heading.

You short bitcoin, that's pretty much the only way, or alternatively once it does crash you try and buy some at a low price and hold for the future. Be careful with either though, especially shorting as it can lead to infinite losses.

I'm positive that in the next future bitcoin will collapse for technical reasons and will be replaced.

I have observe that Bitcoin Cash moves the opposite way with bitcoin so maybe you can buy some bitcoin cash too when bitcoin is making a downtrend but eventually it would go down as well so the safest way would be to just cash out temporarily and if you can see that the market is moving sideways then it may be a warning that the reversal of a trend is incoming so you should be ready for the signs.

It is kind of risky thing to do but it works a lot of time. When the bitcoins crashes of course the money falls the value of the bitcoins in the market will fall and that is now the opportunity for us to buy bitcoins in a much affordable price rather than buying it in a larger price and when you buy that in a lower price expect that bitcoins will rise again and even set another highest record or amount because they are still popular and just starting to make their name from the whole world so they will rise again and so as your money and you will have an easy money with that.

1) Sell it all right now, get out 100% into cash ready for short-term trades.
2) Place buy orders at various prices way below what you expect will happen in a single day.  //  For example, buy a little above 14K, 12K etc.
3) Do not check the market too often, just a few times a day.
4) When you see an order is finally filled you will already have a nice profit since people panic and then buyers rush in. You will find you bought at $14,059 and the market is already above $16K.
5a) SELL, take that easy profit, do not be greedy, since the market is heading much lower.

Short all coins to hell. How do people usually make money in a crisis? Open short positions and rake money with a shovel. But be carefully, play with margin is too risky.

I think you need a huge amount of investment if you are talking about making good money from bitcoin corrections, as we knew how big the value of bitcoin and in order for you make some good profits you need to start also with a good capital so each time the value fell you will have an opportunity to buy and then sell when the price bounce back again and collect your earnings.

If you want to make money from the bitcoin's crash, you really need to monitor its price and then guess if it will go down or up base on its movement. You really have to take the risk and sell your bitcoin before it crash even more then once its price is low, buy again. That way you will make money from bitcoin's crash.

Price monitoring is truly needed to earn with this but you cannot earn with this thing if you monitor and be afraid for some red strike happening on the coin you've watch, But for these current time I can point that we can earn for this since the price value of coin is so movy and the good flactuation happening can make us earn for short trade basis.

I guess you mean the Bitcoin Price Drop because Bitcoin and Blockchain is kinda crash proof. Well, in such drop market Investors keeps buying as they know the potentiality of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Price will rise again in time. Speaking of Bitcoin though it has been holding up nicely till the crash happened. Its the effect if the BCH pump and this would be a good time to stock up on BTC before the pump starts again.

To the contrary, I think we are only at the beginning of bitcoin explosion.

Based on my point of view bitcoin cash has no future , it won't grow as high as the real bitcoin.
Indeed for now people frustated on how the transaction processed very slow , it won't last forever.
Sooner or later bitcoin network will get recovered , and those people who switched to bitcoin cash now will get back to the real bitcoin later for sure.

You just need to buy other cryptocurrency like ETH or XRP cause when the price of Bitcoin crash, other cryptocurrency price will increase very quickly :)). You can take a look at price of all other cryptocurrency right now, all of them are green right now :)). It's the best way to make money when Bitcoin crash IMO :)

you first have to guess (of course an educated guess not a random gut feeling) then you have to act on it. and this first step is the most important one. and you are talking about a "crash" not a simple fluctuations that bitcoin has daily.

then if and only if you succeeded in the first step you can move on to the next.
now you can simply sell before the "crash" that you guessed and then wait for it to be over to buy back. you will have a the ability to buy a lot more bitcoin than you had before the crash. or you can simply buy the same amount of bitcoin and keep the difference in cash as profit.
you can also try shorting bitcoin but i am not a fan of that at all.

I am not so good in trading but someone told me and I just want it to share to you “In trading, buy low sell high”. In my opinion, there is two ways to make profit out of bitcoin crash and that’s to buy and sell. If you don’t have bitcoin at the moment but you have a fiat there, then you should buy bitcoin and hold it for a while because for sure the price of it will pump again. The moment it pumps again then that’s for you to sell your coins.

Bitcoin crash means a serious price movement, we have to think twice before buying as maybe the reason of the crash is big and bitcoin

You won't make money when it is going down of course, but the idea of making money from it is when it has corrected you have the chance to buy Bitcoin at a cheaper price or when the price of Bitcoin has bottomed out you know it is the perfect time to buy Bitcoin because of the discounted rate. Actually, I don't think there will be a crash in the immediate future; what happens in these days is just a normal correction after a crazy growth

Get some loan to take that risk isn't recommended at all , you should put the money you can afford to lose only.
You won't have a good ending then , believe me . Trading is risky especially at the crash moment.
