A standard MATRIX node is associated with one control chain and at least one data chain. Both chains are operated with the distributed consensus scheme. The control chain is equipped with various AI models and behavioral specifications for data chains. The data chain perform data operations and collaborate with other chains and routers coordinated by the control chain. The introduction of the control chain enable MATRIX blockchain to exchange data and execute contracts with other blockchain.
AI-Based Security Framework

Prof. SteveDeng —— Chief AI Scientist
Prof. Deng is an associative professor of School of Software, Tsinghua University, where he has been a faculty member since 2008. Prior to Tsinghua, he was with Magma Design Automation as a consulting technical staff. He received his Ph.D. degree from Carnegie Mellon University and completed his ME and BE studies at Tsinghua University.
His research interests include machine learning, industry data analytics, and computer architecture. He has been the PI or Co-PI for numerous national level research projects. Since 2016, he has been the Vice Principle Architect of China Railway Rollingstock Corporation’s Prognostics Health Management for High-Speed Trains Project, which focuses on leveraging modern machine learning techniques to revolutionize the operation and maintenance of railway vehicles. His book, Structural IC Design and High Level Synthesis, was adopted as the textbook of IC design by Tsinghua and many other universities. His work on deep learning based image detection was ranked #1 in many prestigious challenges (e.g. PASCAL VOC and COCO). He is the author or co-author of over 50 papers. He received many awards, including a best paper award on International Conference on Computer Design 2013, NVIDIA partnership professor Award, and Tsinghua Key Talent Award. He is in charge of designing machine learning algorithms and hardware architectures for the MATRIX blockchain.
Bill Li —— Chief Network Architect
Mr. Li is a leading expert of communication and IC design. He is a major contributor of many 4G, 4.5G(NB-IoT) and 5G standards of China. He was the chief architect of China’s first WiFi transceiver IC. As a Co-PI, he led the design of the dispatch communication system of China’s first aircraft carrier. His work on communication IC designs won numerous national awards.  His book, Communication IC Design, was the best-selling textbook in this area and is used by many prestigious universities. He will lead the architecture design of the MATRIX blockchain.
Dr. Tim Shi —— Chief Chip Scientist
Dr. Shi is a veteran of the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining MATRIX, he was a Principal System Architect of AMD and also responsible for the technology partnership of AMD with companies and universities in greater china. Before this position, he held various position at different leading international IC companies such as Synopsys and ARM. - how can investors access the funds
- what coins will be accepted
- whats the eta to release the coins for standalone wallets and/or trading

Quite a Video demo you had! ??? What is an AI enabled consensus? Does it mean that the consensus is no longer distributed? (and managed by someone - defeats the whole purpose of distributed blockchain)

 Hybrid PoS + PoW consensus based on stochastic network contraction
The fundamental reason leading to the excessive transaction latency in today’s blockchains is the transmission overhead in a P2P network cannot scale with the number of nodes. The problem is inherent to the P2P based PoW consensus since every transaction is to be broadcast to the whole network. In fact, the latency has to worsen as long as the number of nodes increases. The recently proposed lightning network is devised to solve the above problem. What it does, however, is no more than creating a private channel for the payer, receiver and transferring nodes so that transaction can be completed once a consensus is reached. Such a process lacks a guarantee for the safety, especially when the channel is under malicious attacks, because it takes place off the blockchain.

So did I get this right... you allow to code smart contracts with AI without knowing any programming language?

It can be entered in natural language and then normalized to the standard natural language for supporting contracts. After the user confirms, it is converted to a security component. the smart contract can only serve you if you know how to program; otherwise, you can’t use the smart contract. That this is the reason why Matrix uses AI technology - if you only just need to write down what you want or what you need in natural language - it is the machines who will do the coding - that is, to run the smart contract for you.

What i observed it looks like there are no big community supporters here in the forum but the ICO was sold very early it does not match to my expectations with the investors. For overall it is good and wautung for more exchange and to keep an eye on this MAN.

Many other S&P 100 companies have invested themselves in AI technology, like Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook, Alibaba. If MatrixChain continue to make their product work, these companies would be the potential clients for them. That's why I actually care about their R&D more than marketing.

WHY MATRIX HAS A SHOT TO DETHRONE KING NEO
China blockchain projects are experiencing an interesting transition. While China clamps down on ICOs and trading, some blockchain projects are thriving. Remember, China dislikes cryptocurrency, but loves blockchain.
China, for all the crypto industry woes it caused, was smart to clamp down. China plays to win and China is very patient. They focus on the future and winning in the long term.
It is true China shut down trading because they want to protect consumers from ponzi schemes and scams, but they also did it so they could reign in all the crappy ICOs and figure out how to make their premier blockchain projects rise to the surface. They will not let the outside world own blockchain. Remember that.
The most promising projects in China are the likes of IoT Chain, Nebulas (though this is more International), CPChain, and others. Notice that I didn’t mention NEO. NEO is the crypto world’s darling right now and for good reason. NEO has tremendous momentum and a killer platform, but the folks that I’ve spoken to within China think NEO is a Western manufactured superstar. That doesn’t mean that they don’t think the technology is great… they just don’t feel like its China’s alone. They prefer truly homegrown top tier technologies where they can hang their prideful hats on.
That brings us to Matrix AI Network. Matrix has some 3.0 (argue 4.0) features that really address a lot of the pain points that current day and even forward thinking platforms can only dream about.

#1 — Speed
I’m not going to repeat the scalability issues the industry has raised. We know them. Matrix’s goal of 1,000,000 TPS on-chain is a jaw dropper. Enough said.

#2 — Security
Blockchains are secure. Smart contracts are not. Quantstamp’s (QSP) existence is to find security holes in Ethereum smart contracts (eventually other platforms). It’s a great team, technology, and business model. They have a lot of very solid VCs backing them. Now take QSP’s model and incorporate that into artificial intelligence where machines spot the security holes for every new partner that is launched on the platform. That’s Matrix. It cuts down the time to market and eliminates the additional cost. Talk about foresight.

#3 — Flexible
Matrix will be able to blend private and public blockchains seamlessly. Businesses will also be able to control which is private and which is public data. Think Internet and Intranet blending seamlessly. This is hugely important to the business community.
The token will also be able to be used seamlessly between public and private.

#4 — Ease of Use
And yes, the best for last. I’ve been in the tech industry for 25+ years and have worked in many industries so I know how business processes work. IT departments are routinely criticized as being bottlenecks because the business wants everything yesterday.
To give a real-world example let’s take a look at internal business reporting. When data analysis first started becoming important it was usually driven by IT departments creating data warehouses and building reports for the business. This was fine for standard reports that didn’t change, but what happens when a business owner wants a custom report? Insert a ticket, prioritize the ticket, development builds it, and the wait begins for the next build. This became unacceptable (rightly so) to the business so tool companies built easy-to-use end user reporting tools that allowed the business to tap into the data warehouse without IT intervention.

Now think about that analogy with smart contracts. Very few developers know solidity (Ethereum’s SC programming language) or any of the proprietary languages for smart contracts which has led to a shortage of SC developers. NEO was smart to allow widely used languages on their platform, BUT this still requires developers.
Now think about how companies who do contract execution work today. If a business analyst wants to create a contract with a vendor they don’t call IT. They create the contract, the contract terms are agreed upon, and the contract is executed. The problem with smart contracts is they require additional resources that are already at a premium. This creates added cost, time, and layers.

Matrix allows the business to design and execute the contracts in natural language. This is the game changing feature that many businesses will embrace. I can’t overstate how significant this one feature is. This will increase adoption for Matrix at a much faster pace which then creates the desired holy grail network effect.
My last point is the team. This is a HUGELY ambitious project and you have to have a team that can execute. Matrix has an all-star team. AI wise they are the best of the best having won competitions for their work. Given how hot blockchain is and how big this project is a lot of top tier developers will easily gravitate to projects like this.
I’m not going to cover the other promising areas of Matrix like partnerships, government relationships, existing projects (hospitals, One Belt One Road, banks) and their VC backing which are all critical to the success of such a big project.

I’ve done many many hours of study on Matrix and other China blockchain projects. This is the one that I think touches real-world use cases more than all others. Of all the industries that I’ve been in I can honestly say each one of them would have benefited from a platform like Matrix. Kudos to the team for the solid forward thinking and addressing real-world business processes.
Remember, crypto is still very young and projects like this need time to mature. This is definitely a long game and there is a lot of risk so just be aware and due your own diligence.

All the major instiutes say AI is going to be the year for huge AI growth. China is now touted to be the leader in AI over America and Europe. Blockchains look to be the future. Matrix looks like it's destined to be the blockchain of the future (there will be other successful ones of course)

True that China is pouring massive amount of money into AI-research programs.

Projects such as MATRIX will definitely attract (if they didn't already) government attention and therefore important investors.

I am still waiting from Matrix team on their updates. It's better to be safe and make sure your returns are guaranteed than just trying to jump on the hype.  Project sounds promising though.

 

 :D and how exactly will they be "guaranteeing" your returns.  This whole market is speculative and the LARGE majority of these projects are in development without mainnets being live.  Mainnets are just the beginning too, just because an entity has a mainnet doesn't mean it's guaranteed to be successful either.

I love blockchain/DAG/cryptoworld (whatever you want to call it) as much as the next person and I fully believe that crypto will have a humongous impact in the future, but approaching this world as if someone can guarantee you returns in something is a risky proposition.

All that said, the One Belt One Road Initiative connection alone sells itself with Matrix AI.  I don't think anything in this world is guaranteed, but this is DEF a project worthy of going BIG on especially if the price tanks considering the market climate.

Now if you research you’ll see that each of these coins are many X over ICO price where MAN is only just over 2x. This tells you that MAN has massive room for growth. After new exchanges, being reviewed by multiple crypto social forums and sites and a stable market. We will see a minimum of 10x from ICO in the next 3 months. Which would make the price around $3.50 USD.

Now people pay more attention to more famous coins and buy them in anticipation of big growth. But time for MAN will come too!

Apparently people wants a pump and a hype they will go buy after tye mews was announced while the whales before anything else they bought already at the cheapest price. Then once it pumps hard the whales are selling but the people keeps on pumping and wanting more that is a greedy move.

Every new exchange doesn't always pump the price.  Binance is an exchange well known for price pumps, but often times, many other new exchanges just give a lot of hodlers the more convenient opportunity to dump as well.  It's really going to come down to what the market climate is like around listing time.

Id say a 10 billion marketcap till the end of 2018 is possible. If the market gets another bullrun during 2018 which is very likely, then 50-100 billion is a possible range for MAN for 2018 considering Bitcoin would have a marketcap of ~500B-1T then.



But well predictions are hard to make in that market, but honestly if MAN is really able to archive their goals. Then boy.. that would be a massive massive game changer & maybe even the end for some other platforms.

50-100 billion this year ain't happening for MAN.  ETH has first to market advantage and they are sitting in that range now, but look at the level of adoption they already have.  MAN is a great project but there are a TON of other competing projects that are all racing to market.

Considering how common it is for mainnets to get pushed back in this space, we'll be lucky if MAN mainnet launches with staking and 5+ DApps this year.  The numbers you suggest are almost in the range of 1000x return in an 8 month period, mind you, we're still in a bear market.

I think you are not 100 % clear what Matrix is aiming to archive, there is basically no competition for what MAN is trying to do. Other platforms will be way more likely to work with MAN together than trying to compete with them.

I am very clear on what Matrix is trying to do and I am high on the project as well, but unlike you, I am not married to the idea of any single coin so I don't have an extreme bias when I evaluate.  You can go in most of the big up and coming altcoin threads, reddits, and/or blogs, and there are others just like you saying the same thing about their coin.

Forget about MAN for a second, try this statistical challenge.  Find a coin that went 500-1000x times per in a 1 year span from 50 million marketcap...Or even, find a coin that went 500-1000x after it had already been considerably shilled (Nano won't work for these, as Nano wasn't even well known for most of it's initial run).

If I am not wrong they speak about 1MM TPS as a goal not something that already has been achieved.
Also so far their works are on private net and their code has not been published.

To get this number they have clear approach, first minners will be selected by an AL powered random algorithm that will select 20 manner for each block, that means much faster pow mining vs traditional approaches, after that they should build their own asic hardware, this part needs a lot funds so will be another ico to fund this part.

I do not need to exchange now. This project takes time. The important thing for me is that the matrix is always serious. There are no false announcements for exchanges and no reward for a vote on hadax (an exchange that you have not even heard of the cards listed there).

MAN was well over $1 for a couple of months. Market was different but still. It won't take much to move the needle.

Man or matrix coin is very cheap and undervalued right now because of their long term launch. It will takes time to move this coin and for now we cannot say it will be that good while the releases is a uear from now if im not mistaken 2019 will be their main net. What is MATRIX's consensus mechanism?
MATRIX adopts a unique hybrid PoS + PoW consensus mechanism. The PoW is performed in a significantly smaller network of delegates, which are selected with a randomly distributed voting algorithm. The probability of a node to be selected is proportional to its PoS. The “winner” delegate shares the PoW reward with other nodes in its cluster.

MATRIX will launch a test-net this September as per the original schedule. This is certain. Meanwhile, the testing of token swap will also begin. Each of our community members is welcome to participate in the testing for three months before it goes live. The MATRIX Main Network will go online on 30th, December of 2018.

Does anyone else think Matrix AI wont be a very good name going forward? It sounds more like a some cheap homemade game rather than a blockchain platform worth billions

Yeah it's crazy. I was just talking to someone that took $7500 out of stocks and put it into Crypto and has 650 now. Nobody wants to buy even though it's a great time to buy if you can stomach it

Where do the fees paid by external parties applying for the MATRIX AI Comuting powers go ?
Actually, the provider of computing power will get most of the rewards, and the Agent node will also get some of the rewards. The validator nodes gain the GAS.

Can someone tell me what happen during the ICO, someone bought almsot all the tokens? MAN has never addressed this?

On the official twitter page was news that the team Matrix will be at a conference in Turkey on July 28. I will wait for the report!
