Is that mean we keep our identity on blockchain and use it for any verification process? This looked like CIVIC to me and maybe come out with some compare between both?

Velix.ID does not let user put identity on blockchain. We are a decentralized ecosystem where the data is always saved on user's device. We would be identity verification enablers and not storage.

I don't understand why there are influx of projects in the identity projects, why do I want to give out my identity at will to all these different partied, remember most of these project are only hiding under blockchain but never proof to us how secured these information will be and not get into wrong hands

Amazing question! In case the User's device gets stolen, there are multiple security measures to protect you from your Velix.ID being compromised:

1. There's a two factor authentical that requires your thumbprint to unlock your Velix ID.
2. You can always access your Velix ID from another device and permanently disable your lost device, so that your Velix ID can no longer be accessed from that lost device.

Are not only governments allowed to keep database of their citizens and now biometrics technology is being used for govt' issued identity cards and passports. At one click they can verify all the data of users. Will not be there issue on the credibility of this database which you are working on if govt institutions don't recognize them ?

You can see the what Velix.id really all about, from their aim, goal and target why they established this ico project as well. In my own understanding mate the campaign was still in progress, meaning any participants who joined on this project must continue what their task needed to be comply every week. The value of each of each token of velix.id now was not really bad, which is recently the presale was being paused because some of the opportunist are trying to do bad things on this project as well. in principle I have no doubt with Velix.ID, but what I fear is precisely the "person" and its security, the sale of data to third parties. data theft by third parties, and so forth. I still hope that this project will be successful, and able to provide many conveniences and benefits for many people.

We agree that an individual is skeptical these days to provide his/her identity to any third party because of the increase in identity theft as the ID's taken by organisations are stored in their own database which is prone to hacking. Hello everyone, i just finished checking out the resources available at the Velix.ID website (good work compiling all this useful info in a comprehensive manner by the way). I really like the idea of keeping my private data...private ! And the way you are going to tackle this issue seems to be based on a well balanced ecosystem, giving incentive to both users and businesses. That gives me confidence that this project will see real world implementation and not just stay in paper as a good idea.

My question is when will available exchanges be announced, and how do you plan on running OTC purchases for VXD?

The exchanges usually are been announced after the completion of the tokens sales, so we have still some time for that! Now for otc purchases I believe they mean the decentralized exchanges where you can trade every erc20 token!

No otc exchanges are over the counter exchanges, meaning that you transact with someone from this forum privately. That's very dangerous though because you have the counterparty risk and also it's difficult to think of a fair market price in that way.

 PROOF OF ELAPSED TIME (PoET) VXD tokens themselves cannot be mined, but there is a transaction-based reward program for nodes that successfully host the Velix.ID Block chain nodes. This reward will be made on the basis of the proof of elapsed time (PoET) consensus protocol as developed by Intel. The Proof of elapsed time requires much less electricity consumption as compared to the proof of work and proof of stake consensus protocols, thus democratizing this process to allow even individual contributors to be able to successfully host the nodes. The Up time to host the node will be rewarded from the Velix.ID PoET pool; with each minute spent being rewarded with VXD (native Velix.ID tokens). There will be added incentivesfor the early participants in this program, as well, with each Request Processor node getting additional 0.01 VXD from the available 15% pool of tokens held during Crowdsale; the reward for each minute of successful hosting will also be doubled for the early participants in the program. The early participation program will cease to end when a sufficient number of nodes have been hosted.

Supply of the tokens:
The total supply of the VXD tokens is capped at 100 million tokens and the launch price on exchanges of VXD tokens will be USD $1.
The partners at Velix.ID buy/are offered Verification Stamps, the equivalent value of which in number of tokens is locked into the smart contract, and cannot be exchanged sold/dumped by the partner.
These tokens are released only when the verification stamps are utilized to verify identities on the Velix.ID ecosystem.
For a model case, suppose a partner has been offered 1000 Verification Stamps (i.e. 100 VXD tokens), then the 100 VXD tokens are locked into the smart contract, and when the partner utilizes 1 Verification Stamp, the equivalent value of VXD tokens (i.e. 0.1 VXD or 10,000 VELs) is released from the smart contracts.
This ensures that the supply of the tokens is restricted primarily to its utility.

Demand for the tokens:
The demand for the VXD tokens is expected to rise for the following reasons:
VXD tokens are utility based. The utility of the token is to improve on the existing methods of managing and verifying identities, and due to the shortcomings of the existing methods, more businesses and organizations will sign up for Velix.ID to access an increasing number of services in a more time & cost efficient manner.
It will always be more cost-efficient to verify identities through the Velix.ID ecosystem than through fiat or other contemporary methods of identity verification.

To be safe I would keep my tokens in a wallet that I had control over and not on any exchange, or other platform.
Unless the exchange says it will provide the dividends to you, I would not hold on the exchange.

Not surprising the hard cap is almost reached, the amount is a reasonable $2.5Million unlike most ICO that ask for $25M or more. I better get my skates on and buy some before the ICO ends.

Velix.ID is a project that has won respect for not abusing time intervals in ico process. Even if they have produced a project that is needed, it will be difficult for them to have competitors who have many and many more resources to tackle the existing needs. But this is not it they will lose. After all, what is more important than money to succeed in every business, or something as important as money at least, is how much you want to do.
