Instead of asking here first I tried to check website for information I was interested but no success. Your site looks good but it needs to be filled up with the team information with their profiles. I understand the concept of decentralized funding platforms but still there are people who run and manage everything through these platforms.

Interesting project but I have a couple of questions:
1. What if someone will buy enough tokens on my ico, which was made via you platform, so that it will be possible to block all your votings? People will not be able to get their money back
2. What if someone will spam DAO with different votings all the time so it will be impossible to use platform normally?

1. The architecture of DAOs, created using Daox Platform, excludes the possibility of locking the funds. If no on-demand transfers are made in a course of 4 months (e.g. someone with 51% of tokens blocking all withdrawals) the DAO will automatically switch to a refund mode.

2. The flood could be filtered on the Daox Platform. There is also a sandbox functionality for proposals. So no problems at all.

And what if I create DAO on your platform raise fund and then we will find a bug which makes it impossible to get money from my DAO? All the money will be freezed inside the contract

Safety of funds in DAOs created using Daox is our main priority.

First, the source code of Daox smart-contracts is open and accessible for review at https://github.com/daox (https://github.com/daox). Secondly, we are conducting our own public sale on Daox smart-contracts.

And the most important thing is that Daox-DAOs has a modular architecture and there is a functionality to update modules after the DAO is formed.


So, yes, the funds in Daox DAOs are always safe!

The DAO (the original DAO, you must have heard of) also claimed that their code is fine. But they were hacked.

The concept of decentralized autonomous organization is one of the most exciting things in blockchain. Since TheDAO hack it's been a long time and a lot of expertise, so you should not be worried just because of some events in the past. By the way there are a lot of successful examples of implementation of DAO.

Also Daox DAOs has a completely different architecture than TheDAO.

If the source code is open, why would ICO projects use your smart contract to deploy the DAICO if they can just copy-paste the code and get rid of your dxc token?

There are several major reasons why it is better to have a genuine DAO, instead of copy-pasting the source code.

First of all, its free and there is no commission charged. We clearly understand that this solution has to be widely accessible to everyone, in order to become widely adopted. Secondly, token sale participants should only trust the genuine code, as this is the only way for them to make sure that they get what is proposed by the protocol. Thirdly, there is no need to get rid of the DXC token. DXC token is there to help get access to trusted ICO-related services at a discounted price and to connect third-party modules directly to the DAOs, created using the protocol. However, if they don't like to raise DXC tokens or to deposit them, they don't have to.

On top of that, each project that run the entire token sale using the Daox Protocol might be featured on the Daox.Network and across the whole Daox community. We are also working on the service that would be kind of Etherscan for Daox-based token sales.

I don't believe that the whole idea will work, as ICOs need to keep ETH locked without being able to exchange to fiat. Don't you think that the market is to volatile to have ETH as a source of financing for 1-2-3 years? For instance, I've recently read an article on TC saying that the ETH will collapse as a currency and they had pretty good rationale there.

This is exactly why the protocol supports any ERC20 token, so the startup team can exchange ETH to ERC20-based stable coin or raise stable coin in the first place. We are also working on more advanced solutions related to keeping the funds safe from market fluctuations.

I can see project "the planet" is raising DXC tokens which is ridiculous! I don't really get what are they going to do with these tokens and how are they planning on funding their development with dxc? its not even listied at any exchange yet.

Average ICO or crowdfunding project is spending 10% of its fundraising target for marketing and other services. Since the funds in a DAO are locked, the DXC is used to get access to such services for Fundraising DAOs. On top of that, there is a variety of additional uses of DXC tokens in the Daox ecosystem.

I like that you keep up the good work despite the rock-bottom market. But you are also running a token sale of your own and how are you addressing the problem that your token will lose price when it get listed?

There are several things that we would like to mention regarding the price of the token on exchanges:

1. The DXC token is the token for the Daox Protocol and ecosystem around it. This means that it's supposed to be used to participate in other ICOs, rather than to be to be sold. You can see the main difference: If an ICO investor buys tokens of the project related to health or gas stations or whatever else, he usually has no intention to use it for its purpose. But the DXC token, is actually the product for investors. As a matter of fact, you can see that you can already use DXC token to get into other ICOs. We believe that about 70-80% of all supply will be locked in different projects in the coming months.

2. We have skipped the private sales, so there are no token holders who got them at huge discounts, and therefore there would be no tokens to sell at low price. All pre-ICO investor's tokens are locked for 1 year.

3. Each token of every DAO created using the Daox Protocol (including DXC) is representing a part of the raised funds in the sense that it could be used to get the remaining funds back in case of a startup failure. This gives a support for the price of the token on its early-stages of development.

Bottomline:
We simply can't have a short term strategy, as we will lose all the funds that we are raising. The only way for us to keep the funding is to make DXC succeed.

First of all, it is important to mention that there are no limitations for using the Daox Protocol as it could be accessed via any Ethereum client. Daox.Network is just a convenient interface for starting token sales and interacting with DAOs. As for the projects that get listed on the Daox.Network, we don't run any scoring. You should always do your own research.

You can participate in some projects right now, however most of them are not launched yet because we were targeting our partnership offer for upcoming ICOs mostly.

So how do I know that then investing to some startup via the Daxo I got the same deal as if I was investing directly?

You can go to the official website of the project that you are going to invest in and compare the terms. We suggest having the same token sale terms for all projects on the Daox Network, however we don't have any rules regarding this.

If you are participating in a token sale that is not being entirely conducted using the Daox Protocol, then you get a temporary token which serves for means of voting and refund (in case it was activated). Each project will exchange such tokens to the original ones, however you should take into account that you will also transfer your voting rights with your temporary tokens. This is to ensure that users won't be able to get a refund and the original tokens at the same time. Actually its not complicated at all, just one more step when buying into an ICO to make your investment safe. And the number of Daox users is growing, so we have reached the point where we are confident that it'll work.

You don't need the Daox Protocol to run votings for your project. The Daox Protocol is used to deploy your DAO-based token sale on the Ethereum blockchain and each DAO is completely independent. Right after it is deployed, you can either use the Daox Network interface or any Ethereum client to access its features. 

If the project is going well, then obviously, participants don't need to participate in votings. If the token holders of the project are unsatisfied with the way it unfolds, they are incentivized to vote as it is the way to save their funds.
