Our source code is up to date and it's avaliable on Github. So, everyone can download, compile and run a full node of Bolt... We're not focused on mining for ourselves.

We have been worked all night for last week to release this project properly, but some chineses (ye, chineses) was trying to stole our project from our hands and we decide to launch as fast we could. In github we have some docs that teach how to compile from the source. It's kind easy ;)

This is what you call a ninja launch.  There's no "premine", but the developers managed to get it launched and point 80 GH/S at it to mine 2300 blocks.

A friend of mine who operates pools set up the wallet, compiled it, and built a pool for it and the chain kept rejecting blocks.  There's something up with the code. 



We have to wait until the developer finishes their ninja launch / code issue premine and releases good code until we get our turn... so there is a premine.

I compiled the wallet on a linux box.  Wouldn't compile in Windows.  Nothing's wrong with me, I just call it like I see it.   It's OK if you want some of your coin, just don't call what you're doing "no premine" because nobody else can mine the chain while you point 80 GH/s at it.

Yeah, I'm out because I can't get the wallet to compile. Never had problems compiling wallets before, I guess the dev messed with the source code too much. At least make sure your code compiles before release.

I would like to announce that part of today's work has been completed, after much progress!
Today we worked on site design, looked for some partnerships with mining pools and successfully completed the Bolt Wallet for Mac. The other wallets had problems compiling that I hope to fix tomorrow.

For those who need help to compile Source Code, inside github there are doc / make-unix and doc / make-osx files that help people compile source to start mining too! I recommend use Ubuntu 14.04 LTS for doing this.

Throughout this week we will be with our website on the air and all wallets successfully compiled, can be trusted.

is it possible to do mining using linux?

Might be possible, but not worth it.  I hosted a linux wallet remotely and was unable to mine to it (showed hash power, but never hit a block reward... and I was hitting it with 300% of current nethash at the time).

wish they had at least include a cli wallet - having to install a full X setup just for a freakin

Seems to be running well - I let about 30GH/s run over night - and the wallet shows balances this morning
I did notice if I put anymore then 30GH/s into 1 daemon, the daemon stops responding to cli...
it still hands out work to the rigs, but './bolt-cli getbalance' hangs forever (or at least 5 minutes which is the longest I waited)

Tried 'maxconnects=256' in the conf file - but that didn't seem to make a difference

Not everyone can be bothered or understand how to install Oracle VM VirtualBox and compile a wallet just to mine, this just makes me think the dev done this to restrict the mining to a few. This isnt a fair launch and could impact how far this coin goes.

You can mine it up with your CPU or GPU, if you wish. I choosen Blake256 algorithm because it's good for mining with CPU too! Just take a look at my github and read the docs. There's everything you need to know.


I explained why we chose to launch before wallets are ready to go a few posts ago. Anyone who can read the docs in Github will be able to compile it to run in your own way. We will be an unique coin! I'm not asking to follow us, but give a chance for us to show how can we be good in a future. We're planning so many things... But first I'm working in priority stuff (like wallets, pools and etc).

Guys, Can I run more than 1 Masternode on a VPS server?

I couldn't get it working..Seems like vanilla wallets can run on any port, but not masternodes.
I also couldn't reliably get 1 wallet to run more then 1 MN.  I'd always end up 'unable to allocate VIN'
or some such.  

After jerking around with it, I finally said screw it, and create 1 wallet per mn
wallets can run on alt. ports - doesn't appear MNs can.  This setup has run
stable for a few days now.

edit: number of masternodes is going up fast too.  already 93 running.

I've made a new Discord server, in hopes we can help new miners get themselves setup. Will make basic communication/trading much easier while the devs work on the coin.

Where else is there a pool because there is quite a bit more hash on the network than is accounted for at this one pool?

Also, how can I contact the pool operator?  I'm pushing 80Gh/s which is almost have the entire nethash and I'm not seeing any coins being credited.  I know I've found several myself from my logs but the pool is reporting none found.  Either they have telegram/discord or something to explain what is going on or I'm calling scam on this coin and taking my hash elsewhere.  It's been funny since the start.

Broke, it means that your port of router is open! Why don't you try a VPS on Vultr or Digitalocean? It's much easir. I'll code a script that help setup masternode. It'd be release soon.

the ports ARE open

edit: I just looked again - and there are still NO masternodes running on non-standard ports...

So it would appear that no-one has managed to get it going on a non-standard port yet.

A common cause for that is the transaction is locked...

Be sure that those 1000 coins to be transferred to your masternode in just one transaction...not multiple ones. Otherwise you will not be able to start your mn.

It was most likely intended to be a scam-coin. The dev planned to make a ton off of his initial mining, when everyone else had issues. He made it very evident he had no trouble mining in the beginning when the wallet wasn't even posted, and when it was, several thousand blocks had already been mined.
He probably saw that it would require a lot more work than he initially thought though. My guess is that he's moved on to another scam coin, or just went back to mining other currencies.

Either way, bolt seems to be dead, unless someone wants to hard-fork, or create a new currency and allow swaps.

By pointing your miner to RPC port of your wallet!

Put something like that to bolt.conf

rpcuser=<user>
rpcpassword=<password>
rpcallowip=*.*.*.*
rpcport=11991
listen=0
server=1
daemon=1

Save it and run wallet.

Then point your miner (in case of ccminer):

ccminer -a blake -o http://127.0.0.1:11991 -u <user> -p <password> -e --no-stratum

You can replace 127.0.0.1 to ip of your PC running wallet! That's it. You should start recieving your revenue soon!
