I have read many posts of people saying they are sorry to have missed Bitcoin. But I wonder if they realise that there have been more than 20 trains out there that could have made them millionaires.

They have managed to miss at least all these, some of them as recent as July last year. It is not that you missed Bitcoin, is that you (and I) just missed many many others ::)

Be honest to yourself... you did have a chance!

And there are going to be a lot of trains ahead.
It's not so smart to say " you missed the trains" after it happened.
You could also buy apple stocks at about 1.5$ and could have made about 50000% on a regular stock.
I believe that everybody misses chances, but we should be happy that we are going to have some chances ahead.
Also don't forget that the people who held those coins when they were so low, probably didn't wait and sold the coins after a profit of 100%/200% or even less.
It's almost impossible to hold coins for so long.

oh really ? So tell us one thing... with hundreds of coins (if not thousands) and most of them going up with a value that goes higher every time... tell me my friend, where is that blockchain block scarcity ?

If all coins are worth some dollars they provide the same value that Bitcoins does today. Nevertheless, some coins may be technically superior, others an obvious scam, and some maybe just equivalent clones.

But having dozens of coins to chose from, I see not BlockChain Asset scarcity and no reason to trust Bitcoin over any other coin like say Etherum, Monero, LiteCoin or even one more regulated and already mined like Ripple (XRP).

And if you are going to tell me that the other coins that are based exactly on the same technology of Bitcoin are shitcoins well... maybe you can explain a reason why they increase in value just like Bitcoin ? and please, do not tell me they are just pumped because for now all cryptocurrencies are pump and dump stock-like assets, they provide almost no real value to anyone other than in trading.

Still it's a ways to earn some money on trades. It's not a last train, it's just the beginning. At least I look that way on the situation.

Crypto is such a large railway station, with so many trains that you can not travel at all. It remains to study the station itself and try to grasp the constantly passing trains.
and I think that for example the etherium is not the last crypto miracle that we will see.

Crypto currencies are all like trains. Nearly every coin, that you buy at ICO stage or from an airdrop, will make you earn good fortune. A lot of trains missed but a lot of them are coming.

Nice statistics and yes, we missed a lot of trains that could make us millionaires at some point but we don't have to worry about the future of cryptocurrencies in the world is bright. It is still gaining a lot of attention and besides, there are lots still a lot of trains that we can ride on to the fortune we desire. Let's just be patient and observant about those oncoming train.

OP you could have stated "some trains" not "all the trains" , well this time we're out of the trains but soon we will get to the flight instead. The Bitcoin is now steadily rising, not yet out but it will soon enjoy its flight to 20k that we always had dreamed of. Do you think that those "train coins" will last for a long-run. NXT that launched in Novermber 2013 but now how was it? A successful coin is just normal to be high-priced at the market but that is not where it will end. Will it sustain drops or crashes? Bitcoin became more than a bull-et train at its first run like because of its rapid price in US Dollar, many treated it like a bubble. These trains you're talking about are still connected to Bitcoin, as Bitcoin became more than a mother for cryptocurrencies. When the Bitcoin market cap goes "dark" red, it is a bit difficult to see a green market in other coins. Like some people are really general-minded in the way that they sell their other coins if news about a certain ban or regulation or even FUD were just for Bitcoin. We could have missed those trains, but we always have a bull-et train here that is guaranteed to push through these threats it getting lately.

There are always opportunities everywhere which could have been profitable to average people. Amazon's stock opened at $18 under its IPO and is now worth more than $1000. If the venezuelan bolivar recovers from its hyperinflated state, the growth potential could represent an investment opportunity to rival the gains of many crypto currencies over the past 16 months. Someone could have made good money betting on the Philadelphia Eagles to defeat the New England Patriots in the 2017 NFL Superbowl.

Certainly, those are all opportunities lost.

Its ok. There will be other opportunities in the future! The important thing is to learn from experience and do better the next time! There may be other opportunities similar to bitcoin. Don't get discouraged and don't give up.  ;)

But have you noticed one thing that these things will repeat themselves again and again as the bitcoin will rise this year or next year. Altcoins are completely dependent upon the bitcoin and if this time bitcoins spikes then I’m sure that altcoins will spike too and we will see huge trains this time. I’m getting sense that bitcoin and altcoins patterns are following each other. Just check the CMC where you see exactly same graphs for the bitcoin and even for all alts too. It’s like it is one currency throughout and only the name is different.

So be it. Opportunities like this may occur once every blue moon but that doesn't such opportunities end here. People who have missed it may or may not have another chance. Fate may decide whether or not people will catch trains like this and get rich. And one more thing, people who don't like holding also get rich, trading is not opportunity and I believe instead of waiting forever for a dream price so that we will have a chance to get rich,its better to trade and get rich. Because time is money.

As mentioned in the Op's quote users have missed the opportunity to invest. We got the opportunity to invest on each and every altcoin, because price dropped low when price of bitcoin fell low. Now once again along with bitcoin the price of most of the altcoins were growing forward. So days back investing into any of the altcoin would have got good profit in a short time period.

It is very easy to look at things like that in hindsight.
The problem even if you owned a significant amount of it , you never know how long you would have held it.
So best is to look for new opportunity's because i am pretty sure they are here.

Lol, this is kinda sad but still none of us wouldn’t know the possibilities.. even i know that i’ve missed lots of trains i don’t wanna blame myself for this  :D

It’s hard to find a diamond in the rough. I remember buying Etherium for about $1 and selling for about $1.30 a few years back. I made profit but I had no idea it would reach $1000 and beyond.

I feel like I did well with Iota by buying in September for less than $1 each. I hadn’t even heard of it until last summer.

Another problem with getting coins really early is that not many exchanges will be selling it so their hard to get and no one knows if they will be worth anything.

To be honest i only focused in Bitcoin never had the chance to invest in alt currencies, but right now with the list that i saw here i am very eager now to find crypto that will make me profit. Hopefully i get to see a crypto that worth investing in the future. Anyone here can provide new list that can sky rocket in the future?

Just make sure that you're on board the right train, and that is going in the direction to where you want to go. And hopefully get there safe  and sound.

   Even those alt-coins mentioned in opening post can rise more.
Some of them are still under a dollar, or couple dollars. Buying them
now for that price and keeping them is a good thing, they can worth
hundrends of dollars in that time.

   Bottom line is that tere are going to be a lot of trains ahead. If we
missed some that is alright, do not miss other trains, learn from your

It is easy to miss the train when there are too many coins/tokens popping out every day that it becomes quite difficult to do a research on all and spot the golden ones. Also not every one has the resources to invest in virtually every coin/token that looks promising at each research done.

You literally miss the train for nit having investing in promising alts. It's still the good time to buy some like cardano, tron and iota. These coins are in the top in coinmarketcap, I hold some of these and waiting for its mooning

To be honest, I missed a lot of things, of course there are regrets about missed opportunities, I just directed all my attention to bitcoin and did not regret it :)

The problem is that it is very hard to predict which coin will moon and when. There are too many of them and most are pretty worthless. Another thing is that people often invest in the right time but sell to fast. I invested in ripple when it was worth 0.40, sold with 2x profit and then invested in it again when it was $2.5, so now I'm very much down with it. At the same time, I invested in Eth when it was worth $16 and then got robbed (lost 60% in ethereum-wallet.net) when it was $300 and sold the rest, because I didn't feel good about this coin anymore. I also had neo and sold when the price dropped.. I still hold iota bought for $0.75, because I really believe in the project's bright future.
We all make mistakes. It's hard to make things right out here.

Yes we missed all the train, not just bitcoins but all of them but make sure you are on board in the right train. Most of the investors are choosing the train of bitcoin because it has the highest value. But that doesnt mean that's permanent, every other coins may surpass bitcoin and take over its place. So, we really don't know what is the right train to choose. Choosing bitcoin is good because it is in place now.

Yes, it's true. Lot of people regret they didn't profit of bitcoin, but they don't look at the opportunities that there are now.
Of course, as it was with bitcoin, it very difficult to detect a winning coin BEFORE it wins!

Well, we all suffer of some biases, and focus only on the things we are confortable with.
Altcoin may be are profitable, but they are too unpredictable to invest in them.

Many people missed bitcoin train when it suddenly keep on going up and at that time many alt coin also follow bitcoin to reach the peak, not many people predicted this phenomenal situation, but I believe there will be another event where crypto will go up in a high speed again, especially when there are a lot of people already aware of yhe crypto potential, there will be more investors in the future and with more investors there will be more chances crypto price going up

Don't think about the passed trains,their are lot of trains yet to arrive.So you will  get lot of chances now and in future.Everyone will miss some chance,so don't get worry by seeing the past.We have a future in our hand,use it wisely to get huge profit in your future.I hope you understand,don't think you had lost the chance.

The thing is that as humans we really never can know the future. Even those who bought a few tens or hundreds of bitcoin in 2010 would've bought thousands or a lot more if they knew what bitcoin would become later. All that is now hindsight. The present is here but the future we don't know. Even now, many coins are highly underrated and we take them for granted until they begin to push up. We like to chase price just like the Chinese would chase the train when it finally dawns on them of what they missed banning bitcoin. OP, could you give us a peep into the future and list coins that will do well?

Yes, those cryptocurrencies are way successful in their field but what matter to the newcomers is the popularity of bitcoin that they din not even bother on exploring other cryptocurrency. Like me, i haven't try to explore those altcoins because i am very enthusiastic in bitcoin investments and other way to earn it. I definitely missed the train in these altcoins but atleast i tried to learn what other way to earn.

Yes, it's really insulting, but if we are already interested in crypto-currencies and follow their development, then this is already good, and sooner or later we will have a chance to get rich.

If we all know when the train began we would all be rich but it is not possible for all of us to predict the market price at the same time and it will move in other direction. Bitcoin bullish momentum has began and I see this when bitcoin rebaunce around  $7,500 and $8,500 respectively. Bitcoin and others cryptocurrency has been doing well and we just need to wait a little and see what will become of it.

How is that insulting? People should just use their brains and common sense ability for once. OP can talk as much as he wants with this or that coin has increased 100000% in whatever number of years. People don't seem to understand that no one keeping an eye on the market will ever be able to experience these gains, unless they forgot about their coins and recently realized that they still have them. The majority of the people cash out their profits below the 100% profit margin, and then you have the rest cash out below the 200% margin, 300%, 400%, etc. In other words, 99.9% of the people will never be able to experience these gain. Stop dreaming and move on, there is nothing to see here.

Actually, it is not just bitcoin that can make people rich. If you are planning to get rich and you think that only bitcoin can so it, you are missing the whole picture. Some altcoins can even make you richer compared to the opportunity bitcoin can give.

To err is human, and to add insult to injury, people rarely make the same mistake once, it is twice or more times just to be sure. I can't agree that it was a bad decision to miss some of the trains because most of these trains went straight off the cliff in the end, and therefore we shouldn't in fact feel bad about missing them. It's always more entertaining to watch the train crash from outside than to look at the wreckage from inside.

I missed a lot of trains like many of you, and I regret it dearly. I recently got BEST ADVICE EVER about how to avoid that.
Simply - from all coins you mine, buy or recive in any way, if you want to sell it from any reason, sell only 90% of it,
 and that 10% leave and forget about it for at least 1 year. 10% - you wont feel it! There are a lot of emotions when your coin hits 1000% and its hard to stay straight,
 but if you leave only 10% you cant regret if it goes to 0! Same is in mining, you have to take some money to pay electric bils, and ofc you want to buy something nice from time to time, and you are making 100 ETH/day, and you end up selling all your ETH for 2$ each. If miners left only that 10% of ETH!!! there would be a lot more milionares in the world! I am using that formula for some time now on ALL COINS that i have, and im only planing to extend that "hodl" period on 2 years.

Most of the altcoins who are in the top spot did gain so much increase in their prices that's why bitcoin dominance almost fall to 30% which if I recall correctly bitcoin dominance last year ranges from 60 to 75% observe that if you're going for altcoins beside bitcoin, you gained so much from your initial investments, that's correct as some people are not knowledgeable in altcoins, they just knew bitcoin which is given by its popularity and potentials. We've missed a lot of rockets these days.

That's right. Since it's almost impossible for a rational mind to expect a 1084215% rise people start selling when they can have a 20%+ profit. And this is what happens to many crypto holders, especially if they are traders at the same time. So, those profits in the OP are rather hypothetical ones. Yes, all of us here "missed the trains", but who didn't? It's easy to say the right things post factum and it's hard to say right now, for example, which coin will the next +1,000,000 %.

But there are a lot of trains that we can catch now!

I agree we should be happy that we had some chances to go ahead,otherwise we missed all things too. Its ok to missed all the trains,not just to missed bitcoin,as long as we have coins we have chance to get more higher currency and good profit.all i can say is we have to be sage for everything and also always prepared for the risk.

You will likely not regret if this percentage goes down the tubes, though it depends on your personality naturally. But I doubt you will forget about it. You will check the prices now and then, and still more so if the prices start rising. But when they start rising, you won't be able to control yourself and most probably sell the rest of your coins before they hit 1000% growth. You should actually forget about them for your scheme to work out. But who is going to remind you of their very existence then?

We may have missed a lot of trains but we can still catch up with other trains too you know. We can't do anything about what had been done because we can't rewind the past, instead we should move forward and carry on then make the most out of it. Anyways, there are still a lot of opportunities to make millions out of some coin; we just have to be patient and work hard for it and of course never stop learning about new things. Hard work always pays off if you learn to wait.

Focusing on only the coins that have turned out well without considering the several hundreds that have died along the line is making one sided argument. In as much as there are some that have been worthwhile, for you not to have missed the train is a matter of chance and not because you are smart. Every individual investing in alts is doing it with the sole purpose in mind and that is not missing the train and the moment you are very unlucky either by your design or the activities of other individuals, you then need to wait for the next train or you forget about the train and just wait at the next bus-stop to join the train. 

But the question is? We didnt even know on these coins to grow like this because along the way for sure we would really sell out for earliest times which is normal for a trader and i do believe only a few did really held off for long term but most of them do really sell out along the way which its really a regretful thing but its already late for them to realize.We cant go back in time while they are still cheap but we should think that we did make out of money of those coins.

Cryptocurrencies is an incredible market and we have to admit that there are so many opportunities, we'll never get them all. Never look back in the crypto, but always focus on the future. !

I very much regret that I did not buy bitcoin before. It now stimulates to look for other options. We can not see the future. Errors of the past give us intuition. Let's look for new ways to earn money!

Actually, no you didn't have that much of a chance. You posted 5 "trains" there, and yes there were a lot more, and even recently we had U.cash and E-coin with profits of 1000% which is just crazy. But the thing is, that you had plenty of scams that came along with those good wins, and you also had plenty o projects that weren't scams but didn't really paid off. So it would still be hard to make a good investment on those few projects. I considered invested in NEO and Qtum for example, and on a few more you didn't mention there, but I know I also thought about investing on some others that went bust.

We just have to many options there, and it's hard to tell which ones are good. To be honest I don't even know if those 5 you mentioned are good projects and will survive (expect for Ethereum, that I really think it's a good project, just like Bitcoin).

There are always good opportunities that come out. But I guess people who think they miss the train don't really know a lot about the crypto. If you take time to read and be informed, you can cquickly feel that it's just the beginning and new projects can could worth a lot in the coming months

Its really hard to see because of so many coins out there and their are chances that you have have missed something but invest on others as well and ride the hype train.

So I said that they are a lot of opportunities to make money out of the market. Not just the coins mentioned by the OP. So if are disappointed, then think again, explore coins, specially those who have a good team behind, it could be a hit or miss or your end, but you will never know that you are going to hit a diamond in the rough.

It's called cherry picking, or selection bias. Obviously, a dozen or even less "prosperous" coins are not representative of the whole altcoin market. For example, people hear a lot about the dudes who had won a lottery but no one knows about the ones who didn't make it despite the fact they may have been trying for years. To get a real understanding of our chances we should consider the whole "population" of coins and how many of them were successful.

yeah crypto currencies like a train if you dont look all the time you miss it the  high price if you are traders you need to focus on trading if you're not focusing you will miss the price like a train

It is true that everyone had more than enough opportunity to make a ton of money with the little investments they could make in the crypto currency market and majority of them might have missed the boat,but bitcoin is being looked as the ultimate profit vehicle by everyone to make the best profit because of the massive potential,but never miss out on good projects too.

how many people stayed on those trains to the end of the line? very, very few. how many people will do it again in future? just as few.

that's fine. that's how it should be. but it should also be a lesson to the dumb people on here who think they're heroes flipping a coin for a few bucks and sneering at hodlers.

to get the really powerful returns you have to wait years and sit through what seems like an eternity of nothingness and fud. that doesn't mesh too well with the mindset that's hungry for returns in the thousands of per cent.

I thought that too, everyone is looking at Bitcoin but others are important too.maybe we will evaluate the opportunities after that..

Nobody knows what will be on May-June period. Traditionally all cryptocurrencies are getting higher theese period.

That is the reality,no one sticks on to their coins for a long time,the people who started with bitcoin,majority of the users sold their coins below thousand dollars ,because that is the profit they anticipated in the first place and that is the case with the rest of the coins ,sure you could make a good profit but is it possible to get the maximum profit,yes you can if you are good at trading and anticipating when the market is going to move up and when you are going to have a correction,or you can invest and sit back and wait for the long term,either way you have to monitor the market because you never know what is going to happen for some of the new tokens in the market ,few years from now. :)

If you're always looking back on what you could have had, you're never paying as much attention to potential opportunity, or worst you can make bad decision on psychological anchoring.

Well, may be wi missed the "big" train, but we are still a very small group of pioneers, because the rest of poplation has no idea about bitocoin.
So we have still a lot of opportunities to profit from.

It's basically a gamble and you have nothing much to do but hope that the coin you've invested in would have a good future. You are definitely lucky if it makes a good performance in the market because plenty of coins die before even making it to the exchanges. There are many other trains but it is likely that it may take a long time or even years before it takes off. It's just a matter of choosing the right train with the right tracks.

It can be assumed that only the bitcoin I had time for the etherium and other altcoyins passed by since I focused all my attention on the BTC and how I believe that I did something stupid, now I regret it

Yes, I know, and I'm very upset with myself. But I hope that there will be other trains and I'll be ready to jump on them.

I still believe next trains will come

I'm waiting for the PCL train to come like it's the second coming of jesus and so far so good. Also, PCl being partnered with google can do so much, hoping for the price of unleast 1$ per coin, anything else would be insane.

Missed chances and opportunities are the worse. I know that many threads here involved asking if it's too late to invest in Bitcoin and I often answer that it's never too late as long as you set a certain goal to achieve. These cryptocurrencies are chances that we have to get to know. I really think it is never too late for us, the early investors just have a slight advantage.

I will put PCL on my "must invest LIST" !

I still think there are a lot of other chances out there. But make sure to do your own research before diving in. ;)

We missed the chance for some trains that passed but remember there's still trains coming that might take you to the spot where you wanted to be. Users has been trying to predict the next coin that will provide 10x returns but its not easy to choose what it could be because we know the vast majority of these coins are not here to stay no assurance if it can maintain their value or go to zero in the future.

Much better to missed the trains, not just bitcoin...   I say a Yes,. We must not missed bitcoin, Because we could  find  some other transportation, But  we can't find  better than bitcoin.

Recent drop in prices for many people was an opportunity to buy more crypto currencies for a huge discount. If you wish to compare that with train's it's easy to understand that trains are not going in one direction, they are coming back from time to time, and that is opportunity for people who was late first time to get in. Now we are going up again, and is there someone who can claim that we will not see bitcoin on 5.000$ again? Jump in now if you think we are not going back to that mark, or of you think we will then wait for train to come back and pick you up.
The funny thing with this train's is that you need to know where you are going before you jump into. Each train different classes, its not the same of you are economy, business or VIP part. Ticket for each of them is very different, you should know that.

Yes some of us miss the train because of fear of losing more money if we invest because of the dip,
I think there are only few people who bought some while the dip is going on and I think they are the ones who are feeling lucky right now.

It is true that lot of people come up saying that they missed opportunity to make investments at the right time due to various reasons.Some used to think that they should learn more about bitcoins and some said that they lot opportunity as they did not have complete faith on btc as they used to think that it was an online scam and by the time they realized its value the rate was too high for them to invest on it.There are even another set of people who said that they were waiting for the price to go even low so that they can buy them at the lowest rate and finally ended by buying nothing.I have always felt that it was all just an excuse if a person was really interested to make investment they would have bought it at the available rate instead of saying they missed out everything.

We just missed the trains indeed not just bitcoin because there are other altcoins that worth investing. Bitcoin is the most and good investment and buy if you have other coins worth to hold. Buy in the dips and hold for long term or sell when earning already.

What about the ripple ?
It increased upto 4000% !
I don't know it's hard to trust any new coin out in the market since there are many so it makes it harder for people to concentrate and put faith in it.
We can have many more opportunities in the future thus I think it's best to wait for it.
Also Bitcoins is gonna increase in price soon enough ..

If that was the rule then everyone would be millioner.

I can tell you from my personal experience from stocks exchange that some companies have dive deep and never vent back to old prices.
Same is here in crypto, some coins can recover fast, some little later and some never.

 Yeah we miss all the train because we focus only in bitcoin because of its potential but sad to says we missed it also.  Lol  this is very sad we miss all the opportunity because of being eagerly on one crypto . So i think much better for now is to focus on the market , not just the bitcoin potential .to don't miss again the train.  

You still have a chance, many new coins have a lot of potential and will boom soon just choose wisely.
It is also possible to catch the train and buy Bitcoin now while its price is very low and you will regret not buying again.

It is never too late, you have just to choose the right moment.

I think that the market is only being formed and there will be a lot of trains on which we will be able to ride. Mainly stay up to date and do not be afraid to take risks when it's justified.

They might have missed most of the trains, but the cryptosphere is growing daily, it is likely that there will be another 10,000%+ coin within the next few months. Of course, you will need to weed through the trashcoins to find the hidden gems. Honestly, I suspect if you were to put $100 on the next 100 coins to be released, you would turn a decent profit, as one of them is likely to break 10,000% and recoup your investment.

Wow, never thought I missed all of those. Maybe it's time to get back into. I stopped trading after a while since I can't spare the time after work I'm pretty much exhausted. People in-the-know made some serious money with these.

You are making an interesting point here. I even started to think that maybe I should invest $100 in in the next 100 different coins. Indeed if only one of them will rise 10,000% then your $1 invested in it will turn into $100. But let's think of how much time it can take. As we know a coin can rise 20 times in one year easily but to rise 100 times it takes 2-3 years or even more (I know there are exceptions but they are rare exceptions). Yes, probably some other coins from that 100 will give some profit too, so maybe it's worth trying, but imo it would be better to invest the $100 in Bitcoin and it will be turned into $250-$300 by the end of the year almost certainly.

I don't think I have lost any chance in bitcoin at any point because the main reason is that I am in bitcoin since 2013 and from that time I am doing work constantly with full hardwork and without seeing that what will I will get at end .
Here I am in this field I was having no any amount of money in my pocket , and today have a better amount of earnings .
And I didn't feel that I missed any chance at all .
But still here I recommend to everyone that put your money in multiple different different coin and make a better amount of the earnings easily to live life and luxryous life.
Here may be we may definitely loss all the changes for all the coins once in future of 1-2 month because price may get pump much that will be out of our hand to invest in them .

Life is made of this, things that you miss and things that you hit. For every single "train" I left, I believe there will be a dozen in the coming future.

This is a tricky question. If you have enough money to invest in every currency that is created, yes, you may have a chance to be a millionaire. But there are plenty of currencies that are created and it is really hard to forecast which one(s) is going to multiply its value.

So... well we have missed trains but I don't see any strategy granting success here. If you invest a bit in everything... Well the money you may make out of one currency will only cover for the loss of all the others..

Since many are busy monitoring bitcoin's price in the midst of crisis few weeks ago, they forgot that alternate coins can give additional profit too. Almost all cryptocurrencies went down that time and those who bought the dip are for sure enjoying the moment today.

If you missed the train especially in bitcoin back then. Then this is the right time for you to jump in into the train again because the price is low and once the train starts to go rolling again then you will be starting to lose it all again so you better jump in right now and just wait for the train to start rolling again so you will be enjoying your profits in the future.

I missed the ride of them all because of ignorance and fear. Way back 2014 I met Bitcoin but ignored it and do nothing but addicted to nonsense games and that was my biggest regret ever. Second is Ethereum and then followed by Litecoin and now it is too hard for me to follow because they already landed on the moon.

What is interesting about cryptocurrency is that if we've missed those previous rides, we still have the chance to get an early ride with the next trip to the moon. I mean there are a lot of projects with potential appearing day by day so we can apply some lesson learned from the past and that will probably will result into a more profitable and more professional way of keeping all of the tokens or coins because of the idea and experiences past rides have given to us.

Therefore, in the current situation we have to grab every opportunity we have to replace those regretful past with success and victory.

It is easier said than done. It is definitely beyond the powers of common people like most of us. To wait that long you gotta have either some very deep understanding of the coin you are investing in as well as cryptomarket at large, the knowledge which we don't possess for the most part anyway, or actually forget about your coins for a few years, which is next to impossible after all the fuss around cryptocurrencies these days.

I really regret that I didnt get into it. For some time I do thought of it and what if's.
A large change had gone for just a year of QTUM which is really impressive.
If I just made it in time where I got money so that I could have invested in it.
But it is too late now. Maybe there will be another just like it, which are good with marketing and also with the community to pull more investors.

Following the analogy of trains, the problem is not the lack of trains there are trains leaving the station every day, the problem is where they lead you, most of the trains lead nowhere and some fall of a cliff while some are assaulted by bandits along the railroad, and only a few are able to led you to your planned destination and like always the problem is to distinguish which is which.

You don't really mean it literally, do you? Anyway, you have your point there that there are trains leaving everyday just to drop everyone on their designated destination but don't you know that after they dropped off from that train they can ride it again or ride another train just to get back to where they belong. That's how the market works and you area only looking on the bad side why not change your mindset so you could ride that train that you have been talking again.

Honestly, is no wonder I missed all those. I am relatively new to the market, so I have to learn before I can really make good investment decisions. I hope I will catch at least a train.

I don't think investing in everything / all coin is a good idea. see not all coins have a good future let alone some coins also die before reaching its peak. so investing in all coins is a bad idea dude. I think analysis is the most important thing. look for potential coins from new coins that arrive. choose some coin only because there must be some potential to have a high price in the future.

To be honest, yes I missed the train. But the truth is, despite some of us missed it, there at people who didn’t miss the great opportunity as of then. But that’s not the end. I still believe that such an opportunity is coming again. I read a news online this morning that says another run is coming soon and that now is a good chance for people who are interested to invest and save for the great moment when they will proudly withdraw huge profit.

Yeah, those who are into the long term position and have a lot of patience to be able to get the best of the market are the ones who are able to get some of those huge profits from trades like this. However, there is still time, the space is still young; we have had a wide market correction which gives everyone the chance to get into those coins with potential. I hope some who are here today won't still end up missing the chance.

Right about now, we still have a chance on some good projects to buy at dips and they are still complaining. I am really trying to picture how most of them are really going to end up when they realize they are just in the crypto space and whereas some are making use of opportunity to board a train that is giving signal to move, they are busy complaining on how the train does not have an engine to move, when they really do not know how sound the engine is.

Most is just being in the right coin at the right time. Many more will pass and many of us will wonder how we didn't see that one.
I'm sure we can all say we would like to become millionaires from crypto currencies but I think the reality is most won't. At some point we will find that undervalued coin that we hold at some point could be worth a good amount.

We all know that in this crypto currency world there are lot ways to have a great income. Not just with bitcoin but in other altcoins. Actually my friends who introduce to me this bitcoin has also earned a lot from other altcoins. Loke Deep Onion, RIPPLE and others. We also must open our investments to other coins.

Bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrency in the market and you are right that there is still a lot of altcoins to look for because if they will just focus on bitcoin then there is a high chance that they will just lose their money because it is not good to put all eggs in one basket and it is best to diversify and try other coin that has the potential like bitcoin.

No, that is why I said it was just an analogy, but do not get mistaken my analogy could have been a little pessimistic but I'm very bullish about the market, I have made some strategic investments and the only thing I can do right now is to wait and see if I selected the right coins, so right now I'm holding and hoping for the best, if I fail then I will try again until I get it right.

So many are missing to ride at fast moving changes at crypto world. Other's are just focusing their sight on specifics token/coin, and haven't given to look to some potential token/coin.

Yeah, there are so many opportunities that will come up in the future that would even make a lot of smart investors richer. However, just like I have said, only the smart ones will always try as much as possible, to board the train, take a good position before it starts moving.

The market is huge, there is so many potential coins that are undervalued and right now, is the time to hop into most of them before the 2018 journey start. It is a cycle and the train will always be available when the time is right.

There are still some very new coins today that have not even started their journey yet and whereas some are looking at the missed train, they are forgetting those ones with a lot of quality and huge room to grow. Not all of them that bought Bitcoin then were able to hold it 2017/2018, and there is no reason for anyone to be killing themselves over this kind of issue. Yes they invested earlier, it’s their luck and we’ve also got our own luck. Hell yeah, simply because we cannot ride all the train at the same time and sometime its better to just ride with a great coin so you can generate more profit. Every cryptocurrency can go higher but again its not an ideal thing to buy every coin instead focus on a great coin and buy more of it.

The best thing to not miss the opportunities and to find out that they have a possibility to make it like the other successful cryptocurrencies is to just have a lot of patience in doing research because that will give you a good understanding about the coin and that will give you the chance to have a clear sight for the coin and a conclusion that you can depend if you will get into it or not.

You can't simply tell whether a certain coin will ever be as successful as bitcoin. I missed some, but I also got to ride on some. I simply put some on every potential coin there is and hope it will boom someday.

I think not only those altcoins presented by the OP are the altcoins that rises high after the dip. HODLing doesn't always give you good profit in the proper time but HODLing and buying the dip is the very good idea one should do during bloody times.

This is why it is important to try to get as much money as we can in bitcoin and other cryptos, and it is important as well to diversify our investments, if you do that then that means you have more chances to pick the right coin at the right time and make money that way, now that means you need to take some risks but the rewards are totally worth it.

I do agree with you on this.  Most people lament about their lateness in knowing about bitcoin without having the knowledge that there are so many other coins that could have made millionaires in the nearest future just like bitcoin did to those that accepted it early. Bitcoin as at now is quite expensive for some people to buy but they can still get to buy Ethereum. The price of Ethereum is still very cheap at about $1500 which is still affordable by people.

I believe that it ia not too late to get involved with cryptos. The best is yet to come. So the best thing to do now is to invest and hold to see how things will go for this year. I didn't miss all of them, I missed most of them. But there's countless of trains riding everyday, catching one is hard, just practice running and locating nearby trains and you'll catch a few fast going trains in your lifetime.

Although we consider our self from becoming late in crypto world but still have chances to catch up. Crpto world is just looking for more believers and users, that's why still have a place for us inside. We only missed the first train but still another train coming into us and we should never loss this opportunity again or else we've missed it at all. 

Missed the time when it was around $19,000 on selling and I missed again when it was down to $6,000. Nothing new to my lifestyle in crypto since I'm keeping for long term. I do missed some altcoins too that I wasn't able to buy just like the others.

There is no point of losing all your hopes and doing nothing by simply stating this that you have missed the opportunity of investing in bitcoin. I don't think I missed all the trains, there are some ways to get cryptomoney without any investments. But I think people who are NOW (in March 2018) asking about "how to start mining" or "how to earn on bounties" - they are already late!

I believe there are a lot of people including me who have missed the opportunity to get rich from crypto-currencies, I still deeply regret when I did not purchase a lot of bitcoin when its price was below $100 USD in the past, since it is impossible to reverse time to the past, I think it is better to move on with life and not think about it anymore.

The price is not in what you should be concentrating, but the size of the market cap and the size of the market cap of Ethereum is massive as well, you already lost that train as well, what you really need to do is to find good projects with market caps under 20 million that way if it becomes a huge success you can easily earn 10x your investment and if you are lucky you may even earn 100x your investment, is not easy but nothing that is worth anything in life is easy.

i didn't a single chance to buy and get richer in future and my source of inspiration is my brother who is now owner of company which was built on ground of bitcoin profit and i am absolutely sure that now people are much active in platforms to know about the recent update of crypto to earn from bitcoin.

Many new opportunities come every month but in order to find them you to invest a huge amount of time and effort and that is not something that everyone can do since many of us have jobs and other occupations that does not allow us to invest as much time as those that may dedicate their full time to bitcoin and altcoins, but if you are diligent you will eventually find an opportunity to make money.

Yes, I realized that I really was late at all the train cryptocurrency, not just bitcoin. I have known cryptocurrency too late and the current price is being pushed up high. It is difficult to choose the investment.

Well in as much as concerned i have not miss all the opportunities yet because i strongly believe that more opportunities are here and some are yet to be tap is am bot mistaken. If you take into consideration most of the people that bought Bitcoin when its market value was very low were unable to hold for a longer period of time.

Well, in a sense that sure is true. But the thing is that there are just too many coins that claim that they are the chances that we are all waiting for to finally hit the jackpot. And trust me, it ain't that easy anymore to find what's real and what's not. We are all betting here. Everything we see in the crypto world are all gambles. What holds us back from taking all the chances or some that we see is purely fear of making mistakes. Which is probably why a lot has also missed the bitcoin train.

We can't do anything about what had been done because we can't rewind the past, instead we should move forward and carry on then make the most out of it. Anyways, there are still a lot of opportunities to make millions out of some coin; we just have to be patient and work hard for it and of course never stop learning about new things. Well, I think this is seems natural right even though there are many of us feel regretful because pf what is bitcoin now and what bitcoin achieves now we know that bitcoin is not expensive as today like last 2009. So many us really feel regreat and was wishing that go back in the year 2009.

Wow, to be honest, I thought , that I missed only bitcoin train, I couldn't even imagine, that I had that much chances to  make "millions", but I'm also more than sure, that it wasn't "all" trains for cryptocurrency, everyday here born new projects, what have all chances to be  another "train", to sad that I focused on bitcoin last months, now I will try to look into new projects, ico and coins, who knows maybe, I'll catch another train.  :)

I was not aware with bitcoin from the beginning but I am sad with Qtum because I was having chance to invest in this coin but I did not invested in this coin because of the fud at that time on their announcement thread. But still I am waitig for some other coins which may have chance to increase at some extent. I currently have some amount in BitcoinPrivate, SRN, Dimcoin and a few other. I hope they will have a high price in the future.

We need to be too much careful while investing money in bitcoin or in any other currency, because trading and investment is not such an easy job,for that you need to have good study, i think opportunities comes and go, we should not think about the opportunities that we missed, but should try to get other chances and opportunities from which we have more chances of making money.

Everyone misses chances, but don't let the fact that you missed chances in the past affect your chances in the future.  There's always a train to hop on and make money off of.  Focusing on the past is a fools game, assuming you missed out is just the same.  You only miss out if you choose not to play because you think you missed out.  Maybe you could've made millions off bitcoin, buying it at 20 cents each, but would you have really held onto bitcoin when it hit 10 dollars?  100 dollars?  500 dollars?  Most people sold as it reached these points because they already made 50x, 500x, or 2500x their money.  If you held onto bitcoin after it 50x your money you're kind of retarded.  There's no way anyone could've predicted how high it would go, just like there's no telling where it can go from here.  This greedy perspective is why people lose all their money over and over again.

If you are there in the world of the crypto currencies, then you will find so many occasions when you will not be able to make the right choice and that you will suffer some loss of money and in some cases, you will also plan for quitting of your job and that you will stop investing your money as well. Why they say that we missed all the train for bitcoin. We connot predict the future of bitcoin, and there's  a lot of train not just an ordinary but a bullet train is coming for the bitcoiners. So for the people who are using bitcoin, just have faith and be patience.

In my very first days, investing in a pump and dump loan coin (like BCC). It ran up very quickly to a 50 times gain but I wasn’t smart enough to take profit before it dumped. Held on to it till they exit scammed. I avoid them 100% now but could have made amazing profit within a 3 day period. Live and learn. I look very closely at coins now and am wiser for it.

I really am not affected by this because for me, everything happens for a reason and that I was really meant to miss all those trains. I know that life has a lot in store for me I just have to keep my eyes open for the opportunities that might present themselves in front of me so I may be able to take advantage of every opportunities that may come to me. We can rely at bitcoin and actually i put a bigger share of my investments at bitcoin because i really trust bitcoin. But we should not focuse only at bitcoin because there are many altcoins that has potential to rise high at the market. Preferably at ethereum, litecoin and neo are those altcoins that are very suitable in long-term investments. Cryptocurrency may go up and down at the market so i think the best strategy is to invest when price is at low then hodl and sell only when the price value of bitcoin will climb and reach so high again at the market.

You're right we should not rely on Bitcoin investments only in which we could shift some of our investment capital to some coins in which a promising investments too. Like the famous phrase says that do not put all of your eggs in just one basket because Bitcoin have failed so many times losing much possible income from the investors during the ultimate dip so i say we should not forget the experience but learn from it and start investing to the other coins.

If you missed the first shaved of the bus you could definitely take the next one. Just like in investing in cryptocurreny there is a lot of new altcoin out there in the market for us to support and to make an investment with. The market of cryptocurrencies is still very young, while right now it seems that the new projects are not bringing anything new to the table that doesn't mean that future projects are not going to do it, especially when the level of adoption is still very low once that changes there is going to be a lot of developers trying to create their own project to try to solve new issues that will come up due to the high level of adoption.

The fact that almost everyday, Initial Coin Offerings (ICO) pops up, we cannot deny some of them are just merely shitcoins and some have really potential to the world. We just need to investigate and research for it. These potential coins are the trains we did not miss to its mooning. There are obviously going to be more projects in the future but it is my opinion that things are going to be slow for some time if you really want to find a project that goes up in value you will need to be very patient since no one wants to invest in an ico and lose his money, and right now icos are having problems rising money since the market crashed.

How can it be scarce when its open source, I think the wider market just doesnt understand the world outside of copyrights and legal courts and governments you are reliant on to make the world add up.    BTC has the first mover advantage, its got the longest line of support.   There are some old coins that have not done well because they just didnt have the development, its not a given but BTC has had consistent progression.
That proven timeline allows others to join to also align and invest in supporting standards, without a longer term blockchain they likely would not have confidence and overall crypto is worse off.

If there is some coin standard truely better then BTC then I would expect eventually it will progress to take over business and revenue but its not a given just because copies are possible, the network to support that clone and quality of the user population is not there.

There are coins that made people millionaires and i can understand that,it is the beginning and there will be new coins that keep coming up and may be give the opportunity to make money,any thing is possible when it comes to a new market and if you are willing to risk,you might get lucky,you missed some train does not mean that you missed all the trains.

I think opportunities comes and go, we should not think about the opportunities that we missed, but should try to get other chances and opportunities from which we have more chances of making money.

I agree with this. Trains are made for everyone to have a better way of transportation and that is what cryptocurrency gives is. It  help us to transport or to have a smooth life. At the same time we do not need to worry because today we can see that ot improves to satisfies our needs.

What reasearch? What analysis? You cannot sensibly pick up a goin that will rise more than others. Moreover, even what you are seeing in CMC is very often (especially for small coins) only manipulation and not real - if you try to sell the coins, you notice the real exchange price is only a fraction of what they report in CMC.

This is why many people are keen to invest in IOC!
Fear of missing the next potential cryptocurrency, the initiators of those false ico projects are using people's psychology to use some scam projects to defraud people's money!

Yes we missed the trains specially if you look back at it's price when it started,
But that doesn't mean that you should just abandon the crypto currencies remember that in train there would always be a next ride,
So just relax and wait for the next ride and grab the opportunity.

Yup! We did missed all thise crazy heartbreaking trains but one thing still remains, there are still trains in the station ready to move. It's just a matter of picking one up and riding it all the way to the moon. I just hope i see mine this year because I've been keeping tabs on a few coins that just survived ICOs.

Those trains are still moving, its worth jumping into it still. ETH is less than $300. There are more trains coming as well and crypto is so new to this world you can invest whichever coin you think is worth investing and you will never miss those trains from now on if you hold. There are always going to be trains going to the same direction so hold on to it.

Nothing has gone no where, everything is favorable if you are looking for investment then you can invest anytime especially in low market where you can get it easily using small amount for single one.

Wish of your luck if you could found some good altcoins like did mentioned of the OP. Its seems very difficult to Identify in an altcoins that might you earn a lot of profits by holding it in long term. Unless if you have passion and patience by finding it in the crypto market.

It is constantly going on, not just with cryptocurrencys but also with gold or silver or just land, that is really rising in price because of the over population in a lot of countries, its not all digital, most of it is not actualy.

I know that i missed a lot, and it really give this lonesome feeling. Before, as this coins is not as popular today, and the crypto world is just starting to bloom in our era. We are not sure in the future of it that is why many of us is doubting to invest on it (in the start of cyptos). Lucky to those who ride these trains and become the pioneer of this. Bitcoin just a currency which highest fluctuate we can still earn profit with it. The fluctuate will bring some profit. Its never ever been late just believe in fluctuate of bitcoins.

i think, because most of it is still limited to trading, many of the products have not been running, besides that it is still a bit bitcoiner who uses it, so it is difficult to sell its products, but for trusted coins it will be easy to get many investors

Its doable if you have enough/decent income outside the cryptomarket.
But now we should be more careful because of the last bear market. The train has passed and i dont know when it will come again.

As we know that, Bitcoin is a long term investment source in which you can invest any time you want as there are no restrictions over both of its main markets either low market or high market.

Other than Bitcoin same is the case with other coins but you have to make sure you have the skill to survive in any market conditions and have the ability to lead yourself to high market. You will have the same position as investors who invested 4 or 5 months back will be on the same page with you if you invest right now due to the current stable price.

Crypto currencies have prices that will continue to change and increase every year, so there will always be an opportunity to start because crypto prices will definitely be low again and you can buy, so I think there is no lag or too late to start in Crypto

I admit there's not only bitcoin but a lots of thing which we just missed out.. We didn't miss any train we're just waiting and learning new things from cryptocurrencies.

Being invoke with cryptocurrencies doesn't mean you can only make money here.Everyday we meet a lots of events and enjoy them. We do patient when the price decrease and meet some scammers and deal with them.

Actually when these coins were creating internet wasn't popular enough plus not everyone were aware about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. So its not our fault.

We're increasing our knowledge. We didn't lose any train we're just enjoying and cryptocurrencies helps us to showing us a new days everything just enjoy the event and make money.

Something that happened in 2017 cannot be termed as recent one in my opinion. If we consider the past 1 year performance of crypto , most of the coins are in loss only. I expect the situation to improve in future but this will take some time. May be next one year to recover completely before we see the old prices.

Anyone that has been here a while knows all about missing out, myself I have on at least three  occasions lost out by selling too early, a lot of this was down to being new.

There might be a possibility for the so called "missing the train concept" to be true as the cryptocurrency we gave seen is really  going below the expectations of clients or investors and users. Yet we also know that even with the bearish market bitcoin still manage to draw attention by surviving few steep drops and is even going up. So with this movements on bitcoin I think it is never too late to start a business or invest on bitcoin and othec altcoins.

This is about the two approaches - either you learn or you whine. Some people just waste time thinking about what kind of profit they could have made, while others use the time to actively search for current opportunities. It really is that simple in the end.

right now I like for investing at new coin are listed on exchange market, I am never worried about will be scam when listing or not because some altcoin I get with more higher price after listing at exchange market.

Last years many people prediction bitcoin will growing and have higher price, but now bitcoin price was drop and too low, what have to do with this situation keep or sell our bitcoin asset.

I am also confused about people because they only focus on bitcoin, both when bitcoin rises to the moon or when it falls. there should be a lot of altcoins that have the potential to make us billionaires. because their focus is on bitcoin, so when bitcoin falls, the altcoin is increasingly forgotten and as a result prices also fall further.

I think we have a good chance now with Ethereum at $100, Qtum $2, NEO $7, and many other good altcoins. You might miss a train in Crypto, but there are a lot of other trains. New projects like WAN, ICX, ZIL, NPXS are at their all time low.

this happened because, long ago everyone assumed that crypto currencies would not last long and crypto currencies could not be used to transact or be cashed in currencies according to their respective countries. and in the past it was very difficult to believe in crypto currencies because there was a lot of news if this currency contained elements of fraud and was banned in all countries. so many users are afraid. but the crypto value continued to rise and many people were tempted to get it when the crypto price had reached the highest level.

Trains are back :D I remember I almost cried when I sold OMG for 1.35$ and it skyrocketed tomorrow. Now after more than a year that price is back, but when we buy coins now we cant hope for mooning anytime soon... At least half year is my prediction.

If you have missed all the trains from the previous market corrections, then i think it's knocking on your door once again as bitcoin has fallen drastically. Buying it at 3,000$ is not really bad especially the other major cryptos that are having a drastic fall of value as well.

I really dislike it when somebody say that the train has left, regarding the crypto currency.
Crypto currencies began their journey not so long ago, only 10 years ago (Bitcoin). This is a short period of time for the development of such a complex technology and its adaptation to the real world. Today, there are still plenty of opportunities to become part of the crypto world and make a lot of money on it.
Those who think that the train has left is better to leave the crypto world. Such uncertainty about what you do will not give you the opportunity to earn money here. Every time when course will fluctuate strongly (which is periodically normal for any markets), fear and panic will envelop you. And this emotions will take away all the power from you and you will find yourself helpless and frightened by a child.
The train has not gone anywhere. It's only the beginning. If a person has faith in crypto currencies and a desire to make money on them, then he will definitely succeed.

I still think it is not too late to get the next train that will take you to the promise land. The coins mentioned and many more are still available for one to invest and make a good profit. this is just the beginning for cryptocurrencies so it is not too late

It all goes in cycles and some trains are coming again, some new trains appear and so on, so on.

I passed the opportunity to make a profit but I can still hold the assets of bitcoin, crypto and keep locking in the next few years, by seeing better train opportunities in the future.
