Title: ERC20 Exchange (DEX)
Post by: erc20_exchange on March 04, 2018, 06:40:58 AM
Hello everyone,

My name is Anton and I am an owner of ERC20 DEX (http://erc20.exchange). This is an exchange that I always wanted to build: ease of use, mobile-friendly, private and transparent for comfortable trading. Here is the look and feel of the exchange:

http://erc20.exchange/img/erc20_screenshot.png

Key features which are already in place and fully working:
- DEX core functionality, including nodes and high-performance matcher
- ETH market with 80+ coins for trading
- Guest mode to let users with no node connection to browse comfortably
- Trezor support to trade directly from HW wallet
- ETH testnet is presented as a market where people can learn how to trade on DEX without any risk to lose money (like a demo account)
- Ability to add your own coin
- Dedicated layout for mobile platforms
- Best in class charting engine which is equally powerful on desktop and mobile platforms

Main policy of the exchange is to minimize information collected from the users. That's why we don't have logins, passwords and never ask for your emails. Your wallet is your key to the exchange. Currently, the entire development is fully self-funded (our team covers everything from UI design to backend servers) to maintain full independency in decision making processes to avoid bias to one or another coin or service. However, with additional funds I would be able to get more people on board and move according to the exchange roadmap faster and more efficiently, strengthening the crypto community with new services.

BAG Token
That is why I am launching a BAG token (name is due to the next big service we are planning to launch: bagholder.org) which in the beginning will serve several purposes:
1. It is used for bounty program payouts (see bounty thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4313319.msg38688800#msg38688800)
2. All exchange fees from this moment will be solely used to buyback BAG token from the market (I'll be posting all buy back transactions as a prove)

In the future, BAG token will be used as an exclusive way to make payments for services available on bagholder.org.

Amount of tokens issued: 10 000 000 BAG
Digits: 8
Contract: 0x428Fb1B92dcEDaF61e910A23C008d900A8D1a2ce (ETH chain)

Only 1 000 000 BAG tokens are going to be placed on the market to sell to the community (basically, 10% stake in the exchange business). The rest will be kept out of the market with no near future plans for them (at least until we launch bagholder.org). They will be pegged to $0.5 from the beginning (expressed in ETH price). However, every week the price will be increasing by $0.05 until it reaches $1 (or all tokens are sold, whatever happens earlier). Crypto investments are always risky, there is no doubt, but I will do my best to drive exchange business and buy back tokens sold to the community. I do believe in this community and respect a lot those who take the opportunities and support early businesses. I'd like these people to get rewarded for that as they truly deserve.

Here is where you can buy your stake in exchange business, BAG tokens: http://erc20.exchange/ (ETH market, BAG token)

Roadmap
* Beyond the features listed above we are planning to expand and cover erc721 trading (non-fungible tokens). We already acquired erc721.exchange domain for this.
* Offchain orders to perform more trades with less overhead for users
* Protocol for other DEXs to leverage our pool of orders (we've got all the tech required)
* Community service: bagholder.org which is going to be an information platform with various micro services useful for the community (cannot give more information at this point)
* Derivatives trading

I think such an exchange will be very welcome especially as etherdelta seems finished. Main problem is getting members, and others, aware of you site. If the tokens are listed I will use it.

Currently, these exchanges are more difficult to use, did not do ease of use, and security is a big problem, remember the attack a few months ago of etherdelt ?

Exactly right! And this is why we are spending a lot of time to make it friendly to users who are not very much experienced with crypto. I hope you will like it! Yes, I remember that etherdelta attack as well as many others that happened recently. For myself, I collect all contract attack ideas and use them as a knowledge base for myself when writing contracts.

Hey guys,

I'd like to introduce you to my DEX project: http://erc20.exchange . There is no ICO, presale, shill links or tokens associated with the project. The aim is to make user-friendly DEX for erc20 tokens. You can login with Metamask (if you want to make a trade) or you can enter as a guest (no Metamask needed). Web-site is very mobile-friendly, so you can browse markets from your phone easily.

For now, there is a single market opened -- test market based on ropsten. Consider this as your demo account where you can learn how to buy/sell and not being afraid to make a mistake. Give it a try! Also, you can add your own coin to the exchange via the website. For test network I'll be approving them all. For ETH/ETC/UBQ network they will be screened and then, most likely, added.

Later this month, I'll be opening ETC, ETH, UBQ markets. Nodes are up and running, just would like to make sure everything is working fine before I open real markets for trading. Also, team is actively working on support for Trezor. In my view, for a good DEX it is necessary to support trades from HW wallet to HW wallet and we are starting with Trezor with the next update of the exchange.

There may be a few things missing (most notably, some chart features), but we are full speed covering those in the next update with are working on right now. Any feedback is highly appreciated. Also, you can follow us on Twitter: @ERC20Exchange to know about the latest and greatest updates we are planning.

Lastly, we are planning to translate exchange to various languages. I'll update the post here once we start translations. Translations will be paid with ETC for those who would like to help us.

Thanks!

Great project seems like. Hope it success in future like Waves DEX got the place on decentralized exchanges top list. I not even tried your site with the demo account. Since I feel this initiation will rock the future.
I am very much interested to be a part of exchange site's support team executive. If you have a opening to work with your team in remote access. I am looking to get placed. Thanks.

This platform (exchange) to me more like the IDEX of the stock exchange. Don't know how it behaves in terms of functionality, but the appearance of the IDEX ))))

Could you please give more explaination about this:

How do I perform my first trade?
You either need some ERC20 token to sell or ETC/ETH to buy them. Let’s assume you are selling your tokens. At first, you need to set token allowance for the exchange. Once allowance is set you can put a sell order which will be recorded on the exchange.

For you it seems perhaps clear...but for newbies who have token not listed,it is not so.

Thanks for your feedback! Yes, sure, let me try to explain it better. Let's assume you are buying MANA coins. Here are the steps:
1. Login on exchange with Metamask account which you would like to use to buy MANA
2. To buy MANA you need to set a price (for example, 0.00012 ETH) and amount of coins you would like to buy (for example, 0.1 MANA) and hit "OK" button.
3. Metamask Window will popup and you will be asked to enter transaction details and sign the transaction
4. At the end, exchange will give you a link to block explorer to see how your transaction is going
5. Once trade is executed you will get 0.1 MANA coin on your account (or you can cancel the order at any time)

Now, let's assume you would like to sell 1 MANA coin. Here are the steps:
Background: Exchange never keeps your money, except for open orders. Once you set an open order, exchange transact from coin contract to exchange contract to lock coins for a trade (as long as it is not cancelled).
1. Login on exchange with Metamask account which you would like to use to sell MANA
2. Set MANA allowance to 1 (this is a call to MANA contract to set amount of coins available for the exchange). Basically, it is upper limit on how many MANA coins exchange can transfer from your account to an exchange contract. Hit "OK".
3. To sell MANA you need to set a price (for example, 0.00012 ETH) and amount of coins you would like to sell (for example, 0.1 MANA) and hit "OK" button.
4. Metamask Window will popup and you will be asked to enter transaction details and sign the transaction
5. At the end, exchange will give you a link to block explorer to see how your transaction is going.

Please let me know if you see any issues with this instruction. As you pointed out, some aspects may be not very clear for users who just start and we will be working to make things in a better way. Thanks for giving it a try!

This is a new exchange birage, such as etherdelta, who has already tried to change tokens on it, everything works OK?- since it was opened not long ago and would not like to get into a hole.

Yes, you are right, 0.001 BTC is quite heavy for a fee. On our exchange there is no deposit/withdrawal at all and you trade directly from your wallet. As a result you don't need to pay these fees when you trade on ERC20 DEX.

Yes, ERC20 DEX is new and I agree you should be mindful when making trades on a new exchange. You can start and build your experience by putting a very small order and see how it works for you. This way you learn something new and then decide if you would like to continue.

Yes it is the correct contract,If you add it I will add you exchanger link saying that WSPU2 is tradable there.
But the ICO zone is not ended...so only trade with lost will be traded or free token...But people can learn about your exchanger.

Is recently watched a video on YouTube with a representative from DEX and I was really impressed. This is one to watch in the decentralised exchange market. People keep complaining about a lack of liquidity in decentralised exchanges. The only way this can be fixed if we actually start making the move

Maker/Taker fee: 0.05/0.15%

When trade is performed there is maker and taker. Maker is the one who placed the first order, taker is the one who triggers the trade with his order. Depending on who you are you are paying fee of either 0.05% (for maker) or 0.15% (for taker). Let's assume you are buying tokens using 1ETH and your order has been sitting in the order book for a while (you are maker). When your order is executed you'll be charged 0.05% of 1ETH which is 0.0005ETH.

It is similar to ED, but not exactly like it (for example, the entire order book is stored on the blockchain and everyone can see it). If you have any particular thing in mind that you'd like to see different from ED, please let me know. What kind of troubles you are experiencing with ED?

If you will add tokens first before over exchanges it will be great. You will achieve popularity very fast. Etherdelta was popular exactly because of this. I and my friend trade there tokens that was only there. If token already on big exchange there is no sense to trade on dex because of fees and speed.

24h change column shows 100% when trade data is not available from the past day (no trades at all). Probably, it would be better to make it 0 in this case which is possibly more reasonable.

The message above is shown for every transaction you sign on a website. From what I know, it is shown for all transactions on all websites once tx sign is requested. Currently, there is a bug on a website and there is a redundant ask to sign a message (even though you've already clicked "Submit" in the previous Metamask window). It will be fixed in the next update of the website which is happening very soon. For now, just press "Cancel" when asked to sign a message and there should be no side effects from that.

Thanks for asking good questions!

Thanks,
what does mean the "green 100" under the "change"?

Could you please explain this message from metamask after allowance?
Quote
Signing this message can have dangerous side effects. Only sign messages from sites you fully trust with your entire account. This dangerous method will be removed in a future version. Read more here

24h change column shows 100% when trade data is not available from the past day (no trades at all). Probably, it would be better to make it 0 in this case which is possibly more reasonable.

The long ICO last, the exchange is not judicious, but knowing that the possibility exists is a good thing.
I will so often as possible talk about your exchange,if is not yet useful for WSPU2 it can be for other tokens.

Is it like I can trade/exchange any erc20 token with another person without a counter party /escrow ? Or should that token be listed first to do it ? Can you clarify this pls

It should be listed first, but process of listing is very trivial. Let me know which coin to add and I can add it or you can add coin yourself via request on website. Once I see the request I'll list the coin. And yes, very importantly, all tokens are exchanged without any counter party, fully automatically by smart contract.

Thanks for the reply. What I think as a true DEX is when anybody able to load the contract and exchange the token without waiting for someone to list the coin in there. Pls see if you can achieve that :) cheers

Thanks!
SSL and DDos Protection are basic things for any crypto website. Security level should be even enterprise level when you are coming up with an exchange like this

All information transferred between front-end and back-end server is freely accessible on the blockchain, what would be the benefit of having SSL connection?

I see an order placed for 1000 tokens with price of 0.00000175 ETH. Is that yours? If so, I see no problem with this order. 1000 tokens are locked in contract so anyone can perform a trade against your order. If you need them back you can cancel your order and they will be moved back to your wallet.

I will definitely take a look at it.Given the recent turbulence on some centralized exchanges,I believe firmly like most crypto enthusiasts that decentralized exchanges are the way to go at least to avoid excessive influences from regulators.however,I think such exchanges should do their homeworks well in order not to come up with highly buggy platforms

There are lots of exchanges now popping out of nowhere . Are you making this by yourself ? That must be hard . I mean , thats a lot of work . Sites looks pretty neat , need more security for the users tho . I mean make it like 2-3 Authentication to avoid unauthorized move of the money / tokens . You can start with ERC20 since most of them cant be listed easily , you can get some volumes from em

This is the first distributed transaction I know on the mobile phone, but the currency is relatively small and the transaction volume is not high enough.

We've got a team of developers building the exchange. It is not for one person to build. :) Security is a priority, this is why we are working on Trezor support so you can trade directly from your HW wallet.

Good catch! Yes, mobile support is a must-have for us and we try to make mobile experience as friendly as we can. There are difficulties on Apple devices, because you cannot install Metamask, but if you do have Metamask installed on Android, it becomes a fully functional exchange on your mobile device.

It seems very few WSPU2 have been traded on ERC20 Exchange.

Thanks but trading only few token nowadays worth $0.001
If you have $0.20 blockchain fees it is not profitable.
Why buy 1 token with $0.20 fees if you can get it for free on the faucet?
So long the ICO for the WSPU2 is not finished it is only interesting to trade if you need liquidities.
The very phase trading only start once the ICO finished.

I will check closer the trades,I will let you know my analyse, because it is new for me as well.
To give you the possibility to trade in good conditions,I will sell a good quantity of token...

You are absolutely correct. Your trade for 1000 tokens got executed. The problem is that we had to do a hard reset of the exchange after that and that's why price/history is not reflecting this order properly, but all future trades will be shown properly. It is a beauty of blockchain -- even when front end is experiencing reload your trades are handled by a smart contract which is executing trades on the blockchain as prescribed.

Sure it a awesome solution for iOS especially. Btw, below are my observations when tried with Trust wallet DApp browser

1. Sometimes the exchange page loads well but sometimes it not. Trust me I have very high speed Internet so I don’t think it’s Network
2. Sometimes the web loads but throws error that the exchange is not feeling well.
3.  But most of the times, I’m able to navigate thru order page.
4.  I tried to submit a buy order and a sell order for SST. I tried to set allowance, entered the fields and clicked OK, nothing happened. No message stating whether it’s successful or failure. Same happened when I filed buy order and sell order.

With these symptoms, is that a system bug? or trust walker not incorporate yet ? Or am I doing anything wrong ?

As I can see right now, it has been executed and reflected in a history/price changes. Probably, it was blockchain slowness, because all orders are executed with a speed of blockchain.

ANNOUNCEMENT: This week we are expecting a very big update on the exchange:
- First of all, plenty of bugs have been resolved (thanks to all of you for reporting them!)
- Out of the box support for Trezor! Just plug and play with your Trezor on the exchange.
- Redundant Tx signing message is removed for Trezor users
- Localization infrastructure which will allow to launch native translations very fast. Russian language is the first we are planning to add. Then FR/ES/IT. Tell us which language would you like to see supported as well?
- Significant improvements in performance
- Now exchange will show you overall market health by assessing what is happening on a node (e.g., very slow network because of many pending tx)
- Upgraded charting capabilities

They require 1M usd in daily volume for submission and we are not there yet. As soon as we get there, we will get listed.

Thanks for the update and looking forward for the cool feature listed above. Btw, do you have a date for this roll out? Just curious :D

I try to sell 10000 WSPU2
I have this message on metamask form

Quote
Transaction Error. Exception thrown in contract code.

Could you help me?

it seems working now...
You should make a clear tutorial seeable from your site.

People can now buy or sell 10000 WSPU2 through this exchanger.

Why people should trust your small exchange? It is very hard to start the new exchanges, because people will rather send money to bigger and more trusted exchange...

Because it is not given everyone to programme a big exchanger...
Little fish will grow...

The problem is not big or small...the problem is that so far not much people use it.

But (except it is not easy to understand) I hope it will be enough interesting for my WSPU2 holder to trade.

It is a way to sell the free WSPU2 token earned with my faucet for free...

Thanks!

new exchanges, such as etherdelta, forkdelta, idex.
lack of such exchanges sometimes experience maintenance, and long recovered. hopefully this new exchange does not experience the same thing.
but for now I try to access can not.

Kind of issues are common on exchangers and even on decentralized ones isnt really on exception this is why we should really expect this one would really have the same issues later on.Accessing the website Metamask isnt still available thats why i logged as guest. When i get in there are several bids on erc20 tokens listed and interface is still buggy on my side. Its good to see new exchange but would really need lots of improvements.

Ye after etha delta, a good DEX is very needed. I suppose I trust NEO to carry this out although I'm not sure how they plan to balance being a centralised platform with a decentralised exchange running on top.

Finally, after some delay I am happy to announce a big upgrade on the exchange. We fixed a big number of issues reported by multiple users. Made plenty of UX improvements and thanks to you, guys, we are planning to introduce even more with the next update. The star of this update is full Trezor support. You can trade on ERC20 DEX directly from your Trezor. Give it a try and let me know how it works.

If you are not busy enough join many telegram groups of ICOs then you will have a clue on my thoughts, I almost join 13 ICO telegram groups to monitor my airdrops and everyone question is "When is exchange?" "Are we listed on an exchange?" "Where can I sell my token?" "Token listed on what exchange?" perhaps you can break their waiting moments, since the most reply also of the project team is "We are still on the progress of having our token be enlisted on big exchange, and it is taking time bla bla bla"

-hahaha so irritating sometimes.
Thanks...

Agree with you. Etherdelta was awful exchange but now we don't have any good replacement. IDEX trade well but they have not so much volume, DDEX the same. So we need some DEX exchange with good usability and good day volume, cause if Binance has 2 billion and Etherdelta just 2 millions volume for a day, so I guess there are no future for DEX trade. I perefer DEX too, but even I registered on some regular exchanges cause I can't sell some coins on DEX exchanges there are still low volume.

I have made 2 orders:
I sell 10000 WSPU2 with price: 1 WSPU2 = 0.00000151 ETH
I buy 10000 WSPU2 with price: 1 WSPU2 = 0.00000150 ETH

So you can test this exchanger.

5 hours ago a trade has beed done.
it works perfectly.

But be aware that the WSPU2 is only worth $0.001 or so and if you trade only 100 you will pay more gas than the trade is worth and so you will never make profit.

A little preview on what we are working on right now for the next exchange upgrade:
1. We would like to visualize pending transactions in a way so user always knows how his transaction is doing. For example, for incoming buy/sell orders:
http://erc20.exchange/img/erc20_my-orders.png

2. Order book will highlight your orders
http://erc20.exchange/img/erc20_bids.png

3. Clicking on a particular order will populate price field in the order form

4. Youtube channel with media guides

5. Medium articles to give more information about DEX and how it works

and there is one more thing we are working on, but I'll give more details a little later.

Do you know dev markets now earn money with withdraw fee 0.001 btc, when i pay in blockchain.info something 0.00000120 satoshi.

it happens because in blockchain wallet or any other personal wallet like ledger you can set transaction fee yourself , btc transfers were really costly in december january .. but now prices are slashed too much , you need only less than 5 cents to complete a transaction . but still some centralized exchanges are charging upto 0.001 btc fee which is totally illogical .

I think that the person had in mind the possibility to enter the exchanger's account in the same way as they went to the etherDelta or idex. After all, the input was made using the address of the wallet and the secret key.

I always prefer DEXs as token exchangers rather than centralized exchanges because DEXs are very convenient, do not have any hidden fees, cannot be tracked and most importantly they allow to do the exchanges P2P instantly. It is good to see that DEXs are getting developed day by day. What is the procedure to a tokens been get listed in your exchange ?

Login with private key is not implemented yet and I was hesitating a little if I need to do so. Entering your private key may be convenient, but it is highly insecure way of logging in. What do you think?

Is this live? It looks so.
Has anyone tried it?
I see there is option to sign in with trezor, what about good old signing with private key/metamask, when will this be available?

Signing with Metamask is already in place and it is the main way to enter the exchange.

Is this your stock exchange, your development?I like the interface of the site, it is very conveniently done.
But I would not venture to trade, and I do not see trades at all.

Thank you! It is not just me, but me and the team. I would never be able to accomplish all of this alone.

It is fairly trivial. You can submit your request on a website or post your listing request right here. If token is open sourced and not trying to impersonate any of the big coins, I'll take a look at the code and then list it. Feel free to propose any token for listing, not just only your own.

If everything goes as expected, this should happen in June. Yes, you are right, performance dropped to some degree due to the large number of coins added by the people. We are planning to address this in the next web-site update. Trying to catch up with all the needs as fast as we can.

Yes, it definitely works. It takes ~30 seconds to load because of 90 coins already added, but opens just fine. Are you connecting with Metamask? Once, I've experienced login problems when my Metamask had connection problems. Disabling and then enabling it back helped me.

To make sure it is not Metamask connection thing, you can disable it and login as a guest, for example.

Same problem for guest user as well. Tried in iPhone with trustwallet DApp browser, without trustwallet in safari browser as guest, in windows PC with chrome browser as guest. All attempts are failed.

Edit: if worked before and managed trade some SST tokens before. Problem may be after the recent updates

Can you send me your contact (e.g., email) so we can quickly troubleshoot this issue?  This should be something straightforward. Basically, I’d need you to check Chrome console for possible errors and Network tab to see on which request to the server it stalls.

Exchange itself is not based on Ethereum. However, Ethereum pairs are traded through blockchain contract. Other markets we are planning to open will be based on different platforms (e.g., UBQ, ETC).

You can buy the WSPU2 for a very low price here:

http://erc20.exchange/

Why?
because the price was set when the ETH price was high... (1 WSPU2 for 0.00000150 ETH)
On my site the WSPU2pts is traded for $0.00547
If you do a little maths you can see...

Do not forget that the WSPU2 makes bonus and soon dividends in ETH
you can follow here:
http://u2cloudmining.winspiral.net/wspu2_holder.php

If you are a WSPU2 holder each day you are richer...in WSPU2

I am very much interested to be a part of exchange site's support team executive, if you're looking for the people to work. If you have a opening to work with your team in remote access, please let me know.

Hi.
Where i can see PRICING of your Exchange ?
You can see their pricing all over the coins that are listed there. If you have some coins on sell use the search box on the left top side and you'll see the price for that token on Ethereum.

The market itself predicts the price not idex.

Do you have a FIAT money on exchange?
They don't have a fiat->token exchange, all they have is token to eth and vice versa.

I understand that this exchanger has almost the same functions as ether Delta? In fact, this is a very good idea, especially if you take into account that the login to the account will provide the address of eth wallet and private key.

There is a number of advantages behind a decentralized exchange! but the project must be safe first. And pretty fast + inexpensive transactions. Recently I started using Stellar Lumens and was surprised that the transaction speed is not inferior to the air, and the commission for the transfer is small which is very nice) The market is taking over that exchange which will be able to introduce many important features into its system!

The ETH and erc20 token transaction fees are nowadays horribly high.
It is  impossible to trade without be eaten by the fees...

I have tested and it works perfectly.
like said, the transaction fees from the ETH blockchain is to high for little exchanges.

I have put a buy and a sell order, but it seams people awaiting the fall of transaction fees.
The fees from exchange itself are very low...but this is bot enough to incite to trade little amounts.

Key features which are in progress and will be released in the near future:
- SSL applied to all user connections (that was my fail to not do it from the very beginning)
- Off-chain orders submission for higher speeds of trading (and less tx fees)
- Pending transactions will be properly shown in UI to mask lags of the network
- Translation for other languages
- Stability and performance improvements for nodes and the service

3. For 15 BAG tokens a month you can subscribe to monthly ICO Extermination service. We are sending out a list of ICOs not to invest in and explain why we think so.

Monthly ICO Extermination
The first service which is already available for you for BAG tokens (and only for BAG tokens) is weekly ICO extermination list. We regularly conduct ICO reviews and once a month send out a list of ICOs which is better to avoid and not invest into (and explain why we think so). If you would like to subscribe or have any questions, please let us know by emailing support@erc20.exchange

* Derivatives trading
