Monero is good for privacy into Blockchain and they will have a great future. I bought my Monero last year and I am still holding because monero will be at $1000 one day!

XMR struck me as too difficult to get to it was the great coin. his appearance may be quite nice but the development less attractive. but nothing is impossible, could have been in a few more years of XMR could be coins that started to be taken into account.

monero is one of the very few coins i'd be confident in still being around when there's another bubble. in the meantime much more money can be made elsewhere but i'd also say it was much more of a gamble.

I cant see your logic if you look only at price and forget all tech behind it.   ZCash have 3,6 millions ZEC mined  and Monero have 16 millions.  With about same eventual circular supply.

Lets take year 2025, that is like 7 years from now.  It sounds a reasonable long period in crypto when things moves fast.


18,541.000 XMR will be mined by then.  That is 16% more then now.

15,825.000 ZEC will be mined by then. That is 360% more then now.


Do you see the difference?



But as I said, this is just dumb boring price wise supply. In this is nothing about what technology in in each coin and who uses the coin.    That would leverage Monero way more.  

As I know it's still popular because of its anonymous nature...Just compare,Special authorities need more powerful computers,special resources,smart codes to decrypt transactions by Monero,No one can see who sends even receiver too,even exchanges as I know can't track spending,when you pay doesn't come into the picture and logically other party doesn't know who you are...Also remember that bitcoin is not anonymous to the same level as Monero is.(But I personally don't think that Monero is better than btc,for me btc gives more advantages than monero's anonymous nature).So monero is as good as Zcash too,Anyway I think it will be very popular until your country create strict regulations for this coin(because of good anonymous)

I think this is one of the undervalue coins which has a good project. Many of my friends had a mining rig for Monero and they are satisfied with their income. Monero just kicked out ASIC miners but they split up to several coins because of that decision, there was not a big discussion regarding this and they took the decision soon unlike bitcoin.  ;)

Like as i follow news about monero ini this forum, i think monero is the best choice for investment. It's good privacy and most secure, also it's have good future. So if i have more capital, i think will choose monero. ;)

Oh there was discussion about it on github for a year or more. No worries about that. But ASIC owners and mostly producers ( since ASIC was not on sale, just producers mined last months) will ofcourse try to keep mining and will stay on the old prefork chain.  There is no problems with that. If they want pre upgraded version of Monero without multisignature, without subadreses, without Ledger support and without plenty things they are free to have it.  Monero code is open source and free to use for all. All they will need to do is to keep it open source.

This is one of the coins Im investing for long term. I deeply believe on its solid project to bloom someday to even compete with Ethereum soon.Braced for its untraceable, fast and secure transactions enables it to even reach $ 450. Soon its not impossible to surpass $ 1k.

Block is 2 minutes. So 4 confirmations you can get in 10 minutes. What is here slow?   Faster will be only second layer solutions. But not sure how decentralized or anonymous those will be.

Fees cost will decrease with number of transactions. More transactions lower fees. That is much different then Bitcoin and Etehreum.

Price itself dont matter much. More matter marketcap. But even marketcap is in many cases way off reality.     Coins similar to Monero have low marketcap with a reason. No one uses them. And that will not change. Those that will care for his privacy will use most private cryptocurecny. No reason to pick second.   He will pay same amount of value to buy loaf of bread no  matter which currency he will use.

Monero as well as other currencies is not quite stable in the price. But I see a price of $ 500. This is really worth it. So if you buy a few coins now, you can make good money!

Buying Monero and holding is good for long term. In the present market situation it is truly hard to achieve good growth with Monero as well with any of the altcoins. Ethereum at the moment has come close to $200, Monero has come close to $75. We don't know what we experiencing is correction or the trend has changed. If we are having a purpose to buy a speculative asset and bitcoin is much better than it and I have the same opinion like you because I'm only buying monero when I wanna create an anonymous transaction for someone.
that's better than using it as speculative asset because monero has no utility usage to be used on its platform.

If you’re talking about holding make sure you can take for atleast 1 or more years to prevent speculation more than a normal market movement I have seen many investors saying they are ready fo holding but if they just saw a little price drop what comes to them are selling and they forgot the word Holding anymore this is not the proper way of treating our coins.
But Monero is one of the best choice for holding because this has a potential and may bring good profit in the years to come

my advice if you invest altcoin like monero don't forget to invest Bitcoin. at least there is holding 50% bitcoin of your capital. Remember Bitcoin is the King of Crypto :)

Monero as one of many potential altcoins will give you a big profit in the long term, but you should have the patience to wait for the monero price increase higher. Maybe we need to wait for a long time to see monero will reaching the high price because we don't know when monero will be increased. But that still worth if we can hold until we know the price can start the rally.

You also have to understand that government is after privacy coins and that's one drawback for Monero though. And that is to me, one factor that I will stay away with this coins. Too much issues and problems might arise in the future is government just decided one day to focus on privacy coins and that could be the end, in my opinion.

Monero is certainly one of the best privacy coins, but I'm not sure about the future of privacy coins in general. The tendency with new projects is towards KYC, and governments have been getting increasingly concerned about money laundering and other criminal activity. Whilst privacy coins are certainly useful and important, I think they may suffer in a future regulatory crackdown, so I'm not convinced in a long-term hold for profit.

Firstly, the guy above is not talking about the potential of Monero but the future of privacy coins in general which I believe he's right base on the stand of the governments and some exchange which was once decentralized are now implementing KYC(IDEX as an example).
Second, the pump in price will start with Bitcoin but if you watch and study the previous price of crypto market during last  Bitcoin halving, you'll know that Monero was among the top coin that follow the steps of Bitcoin price.

By looking at the condition of the altcoin prices sharing shares at this time it seems that this condition causes doubts to buy Monero even though this coin is a privacy coin that deserves to be a long-term investment but the slow movement of the altcoin causes many people to turn away and prefer to collect bitcoin from altcoin .
