no matter what happens in the market, all changed significantly after the issue sounds all the panic sell makes all the prices fall at the moment. we are just waiting for the answer at the end of the year.

The Bear market took a lot of time to recover and shift into a bull market and this is due to the demand rate of the market; once it follows a constant increase trend then the value will reach to high place. However the current market is of bear market and this market is encouraging people to invest more because the value is very low and is inside the circle of a person to achieve.

this market will go like this for a while. there may be slight rises. but this will not be a sign of a real upturn. will rise significantly in August and in the following months. I stopped all my sales orders. I have entered certain point purchase orders. I will not even sell Bitcoin even if it reaches 8k - 10k level. because I think the serious upsurge will be in september.

Well you know the real situation by yourself as you speak everything in single post.  :D Well, its true that predicting this market is real pain in the back and everyone has got their own opinion. You can never trust the analyst here because they all are ending up with the different opinions and also most of them fail to give 100% true results out of it. So the real answer is no one knows when this bear market will be over and no one is capable of telling us with 100% surety. So its really vain to ask this question and expect truth behind it.

Nice quote...well explained reply to the post, I agree with the above thread, Market is Volatile, no one  knows what to become of Bitcoin on this bear market...everyone on the Bitcoin Ship is telling otherwise, some are already jump ship..Bitcoin is confronting a lot of issues now, Banned,Scammer, and the critical government financial institution want it to be Regulated, some even thinking on hows Bitcoin be Tax. and the most recent news about the Hacking incident in South Korea about Bithumb...all of this affect the market price movement. But i am optimistic that Bitcoin will survive this issue and regain momentum for better price soon.

Bearish trend will end suddenly strong growth. The main thing is not to sell, otherwise you will buy then expensive.I don't think it will happen in summer, I think we are waiting for autumn which will show good growth. There is no sense to sell or panic, now the market expects patience and humility from us. The strongest will win, these are the realities of the securities market and the crypto-currency market. i think on Q3 the market will recover gradually and fully recover on Q4 , news rightnow so bad and need time to recover it

I am not an astrologer so I can't really say when this bear trend will come to an end. However, when the people say that sharks or whales are creating panic through the news so that small holders sell their bitcoins at a cheaper price and whales can score those bitcoins, the future is pretty much clear and evident. It makes no sense for the whales to buy the bitcoin cheaper if the future is dull. They are buying because the future looks bright. So instead of going through the dilemma on when the market will get back on track, start buying for the obvious future gain. That's where the common investors miss out. 

No one knows how long would this bearish sentiment will continue to linger around the market. As of now, the momentum for bulls are absurdly weak to make any significant rises, and every time a small breakout happens, it is immediately shut down by the bears in order to not create any further momentum or openings for an uptrend. The bear market would likely continue for months, and a projected sudden boom in the end of 2018 is quite improbable seeing the market conditions as of this moment.

I'm more like calling it in correction. There no real reason for BTC in bear market.

I think this kind of bearish market could last longer or even last until the end of 2018. It is always like this since the start of 2018 without showing any recovery.

Nobody on this forum could tell you exactly because this market is still very speculative) when whales think that it's time then the market Will turn around end we only could jump in not far from the bottom)

The bearish trend of market will end possible this mid of July 2018. If you remember last year the value of market bearish ends late of July 2017 and the price start recover at August. Possible this year 2018 the price start recover this coming August or hopefully this mid of July.

Im guessing that as long as we have soccer game in play we cant predict anything about the crypto currency market. This is the world most popular game and millions of people might be already left the crypto for love of the soccer game. They get their adrenaline pumped with this game and thats why we might be seeing this kind of dumps right now. I think it will take another month or so to start the recovery of this market. We can not , nor anybody can say , when the beat market will last , because it will depend mainly on the factors that make this bear market status now , so we have to be patient to wait because nobody can not really predict the end of the bear market .

That's because of FUD and the influencial people in cryptocurrency think about the changes of price but in real it's only their own opinion. The only way you would know about the changes will be time, predictions are more and more this time saying bitcoin's price will go up something like that and in the near future his/her prediction is not correct. I know we are all excited and thirsty to see bull runs happen, life still going on and never mind such red color cause it will change into green soon. Yes many issues are causing new traders to panic selling their assets so many losses occur in this year. due to bitcoin bubbles, banned crypto, banned ads on facebook and hackers that still exist in the crypto world.

When you and others cause it to happen the bear market will end. There is no reason for a higher valuation at the moment. If you wrote to Amazon and insisted they take bitcoin, things could change. But a community of people sitting around asking each other "What's going to happen next?". That does not justify a bull run in the market.

I strongly agree, no one knows when it will end. Some people may answer a few months, or in just a few days but we cant rely from what they have said cause it is just their opinions, predictions.

It seems to me that writing on Amazon is useless. First of all, it is still illegal to accept bitcoins for payment. Secondly, most bitcoin owners are not ready to part with their coins. It will not bring the sellers the increase in the number of buyers. Therefore, this will not happen. But I agree that the use of bitcoin as a currency will make it more popular and stable in price.

Sharks create Fud's not just panic to accumulate more cheap bitcoins, so for the question of how long it will last? there's no definite answer to that question as we can just rely on speculations, analysis, and news every day to figure out what the hell is happening to the crypto market, the bullish run is still possible, just withstand price crashes and hold or buy more.

I think that's not illegal and also not legal too but they allow to used bitcoin as a mode of payment. That's why there's a lot of people keep saying that there's a whale on bitcoin price trying to monitor and make the price cheap so that they can buy bitcoin when it is cheaper in the market. Spreading fake news one of the reason also the price goes down and smallholders got panic and sell their bitcoin hold.
But all of these are just my own understanding actually no one knows what will happen next so much better to hold our coins.

I feel like it will go until the last few months of this year before it really recovers back. This year feels more like the bearish year and season which is totally the opposite of what happened last year. Maybe the “sharks” may have something to do with the market but if ever it is true, we shouldn’t feel scared or anything like that.

According to the history of crypto trading I think the current bad market conditions are not long. this situation is only to stabilize the price again when bitcoin bubble. probably september crypto market recovered.

For me, it's really hard to predict the outcome in the market. Each user only depends on the fact that btc is growing and despite of the high risk shouldered, many people are still investing. Because they have trust on bts and they know its potential in the market. I think it will last until people wants to. People are the main factor of market's existence and without them, coins or even the market itself will not grow or even become known.

In this year a lot of speculation about the price of crypto. bad markets, the issue of crypto rejection and hackers. it is the main factor in the decline in the price of crypto.

in my honest opinion, if we will based on the past peak of the market this ber months will be the month that bitcoin price will erupt again but the only thing we dont know is how much will the peak price for this year.

It's hard to predict and say that maybe tomorrow, and it is still no one knows about this so you could not directly ask us because we even don't know when. A lot of probable reason why it is keeping bearish on the market, maybe a shark/whale that controlling and manipulating price in the market by continuing making and spreading FUD news regarding bitcoin so when it is smallholders make their hand weak they quick sell their bitcoin hold and make market worst and shark/whale will win and laugh.

Technical analysis still is respectful in the price movement of crypto specially in bitcoin's but not at all times sometimes even when the support is really strong the price falls really sharp forming a long red candles making those hard support hard resistance that requires some fundamental backings or good news to be passed coming back to the real question the answer is we don't know the exact lowest point it could reach but a $4000 mark is possible even $3000 so always trade with caution and keep an eye on the market.

I think the scenario in 2018 will be the same as in 2017. Prices at the beginning of the year will fall, mid-year prices will stabilize and will accelerate at the end of the year.

I think the bad market conditions are coming to an end. I believe crypto will experience price increases at the end of the year like last year. crypto enthusiasts grow every year and crypto is widely used for transactions in developing countries.

Most probably bear market will last for a few more months and most probably in the last quarter of this year bitcoin will soar like the previous year and will be again more than $10k. There was also a news in which it was said that in a study it was found out that social media plays a major role in turning the bullish market into bearish market and many a times fake news spread like fire on social media too.

I believe it will last for at least the rest of this year, and very likely the first half of the next year too.  In the early days the market cycles were 30-50 weeks long, because it wasn't very known, but since the 2013 rally Bitcoin came under the spotlights of institutional investors, analysts and mainstream media, so things have slowed down because now there's so much more volume. Also, the memories of the huge crash from $20k to $6k are still very fresh, so people are quite pessimistic or careful for now. If the price will remain stable for long periods of time, confidence will return to the market.

We may not know if how long is this bear market is going to occur. It really depends on all the people if they will again believe and be hype about Bitcoin and cryptos. But it will also might not go up anymore.

A lot of the posts here are saying things on what they "believe" but not what they "see". So I tell you what I see in the charts of Bitcoin as of right now it is still well intact in a bearish triangle and completing the formation will send it further down, yes it recently got down below 6000$ but it still went back up above again inside the triangle which means the breakdown we saw might not be the final dip we might see. I might be wrong but we are nearing to the point where Bitcoin needs to have a decision on where it will move.

No one can give you accurate prediction. But if you are holding for long term, there is nothing to worry.

The bear market's end is unknown, there are so many speculations out there about how bitcoin will reach to the top again but no one can determine when it will come.

It will last till its over. Easily said, we cannot predict the future outcome of the market evolving but we can only hope for the better. I certainly am also convinced that the end of the year will bring us income if we hold. It won't probably reach values that all top coins had last year but it will for sure recover our portfolio in promising coins that we have. Selling right now is not an option because this loss cannot be easily restored when the upside trend starts.

Yes.I think there is no way possible to predict when will this bearish trend be over.We all have guesses,neither it be right or wrong.But what should matter most is that we make this downtrend a great opportunity to buy and earn more bitcoins or even potential altcoins that we think can give us a good amount of income when the market price starts to rise again.

We can say truly the actual time when the market will recover from this bear market season , because it will really depends on the factors that greatly affects this bear market , but we are still hoping bitcoin holders fot the market to recover sooner.

Its very hard to predict this market but you can follow you feeling and my is that we will strugle for a 5-6 months more ,probably see one more bottom and then maybe new high i hope so...its looks like we will have similar situation from 2017 ,but you never know with this market it can boom tomorow or it can be another year of suffering

How long the market will last is a question no one can give a specific answer to, but base on speculations and past market trend, with past trend, we can then deduce that the market bullish season will commence in by the 3rd Quater of the yearm hoping for a great upward moement in the space this year.

The decline will still continue unless there is a great event that might happen that could make the bear market disappear. It doesn't doesn't  matter how long it will last, the most significant thing is that you are able to withstand the current situation of the market until the decline ends.

People always speculate that the cryptocurrency market will heal or go higher by the end of each year , yet the market has been so damaged that i don't believe it'll hit what it has done previously  by the end of this year . The last recorded all time high was 21k and we're very far from that figure going now on 6150$ per coin . It is tho a proper time to invest in cryptos at the moment since the prices are really low, and it'll most certainly go up in price even for a 1k increase you'll be able to make profit so it's really the time to invest ;) .

As long as people's confidence and trust on the ecosystem is in question, I don't think that we can get over this bear market. Well it can go as long as a year so better be everyone has Plan B if everything turns for the worst. additional opinion from me, it is not easy to predict what is going on what is likely to happen in the future related to crypto, with news and articles of pros cons on all media either broadcasting or internet, if you read news pro and cons of course will be more confusing what else is associated with bitcoin prices in the market, I personally believe that crypto is showing and determining its existence in the eyes of the world and the public, of course it takes time terutana when crypto must collide directly with the regulations of every country in the world, do not panic stay relaxed while watching the situation and the possibility that as described above can be true there is a stem the price of bitcoin but also can not true, do not panic calm and successful for all of us

From the trend that we are seeing, we may see a complete recovery at mid 2019 Regis is some experts say based on the 4 year trend of btc. We might be left wondering if btc had already reached the moon from what happened last year.

Think we are technically out once we break the downtrend resistance line from ATH with conviction. Somewhere around 5-4k depending on your charts. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. However, I don't feel people will be truly confident in a recovery untill we are holding above 12k.

Bearish market is not bad at all. It will help to elliminate those shitcoins in the market and will left those who have a good platform and real application projects. Bearish market is not something to be scared of because it does not last for a long time specially for cryptocurrency who prove its worthiness to other industries.

Doesnt matter how long the bear would be staying in the market, it will always recover if it doesnt die. This is usually how impatient investors would react, asking questions that has uncertain answers.
As of now the demand decreased causing the prices in the market to drop. Bitcoin couldnt even break the $10k resistance. So, you need to wait for much longer, hows that sound?

No body can surely know when the market trend will reverse but one thing is for sure, sooner or later the market will recover and the price will rise.
For the prediction of Bitcoin price will soar high I also believe that. We may see it  going  back to the former all time high. 

We don`t know the exact time about that , like other said there are a time to recover again maybe not today or tomorrow. Nothing impossible in this kind of market so wait until you catch a big fish .

I know that because everyday many users are express their opinion regarding the price of bitcoin unfortunately the price value  of bitcoin is still remain steady of price in $6,000 above. I know also that there was an expert analysis that bitcoin before the end of this  year is hit of $30,000USD I think its not, But may be half of their target possible.

We are in a bear market, that is true. But if you look in the past trends you will see that exactly last year the prices of crypto currencies are still better today. The spike we saw at the beginning of the year is really a fluke if you ask me. I mean it was a record breaking fluke but a flike nonetheless. The bear market is coming to an end maybe mid 3rd quarter or early 4th quarter.

According to the last two cycles we saw where BTC tanked 80% of it's value, we saw each bear cycle last around 4 years, so I am not sure this time because the technology is accelerating if it will take that long to start seeing signs of recovery. I hope it takes a maximum of two years this time as I don't think I can last much longer like this in a ruddy bear market. Already these last seven months have wiped off 98% of my portfolio earnings I made in the rpevious year which has killed me almost and I am on life support.  :'(

In my own opinion, there is a huge chance for bitcoins to grow even more this year because the price is already above $3k dollars and bitcoins last year managed to grow up even more even though china banned ico's in their area.

i think as long as government supports and investors believe in bitcoin, then it does not wait long, bitcoin will grow. but now many are preaching that government declares war on cryptocurrency

No one can predict how long the the market will last . Even myself cant tell when it will be long because the market is unpredictable and inconsistent.

Bearish time and bullish time there no one will know about that. Actually I do not understand why this bearish time is too long to pass. Though recently a lot of good information on cryptocurrency such as facebook decisions to revoke banned cryptocurrency advertising but until now the price of cryptocurrency is still red.

Encryption market is unpredictable, but I believe that this wave of a bear market will end soon, probably at the end of the World Cup, there will be more consortium will put the money into the encryption of currency.

This is totally right!! For sure a lot of traders or investors are in panic now because of the rampant decrease of the value of almost all the cryptocurrencies including bitcoin. They do not know the real value of what they have invested. They will surely regret once the price will roll up.

ill hate to say this but i believe this will run for two years,since the huge amount has been under correction until now.we will experience this $6-10k until 2020 but after that year when the bear has gone.then bull will take cover and will never go again.so lets just hold on tight and keep the faith

I wonder why you decided that the price of bitcoin (6000-10000) will stay for another 2 years? Many people really want and expect market growth in the fall of 2018 or after the end of the World Cup.

I think there are some national issues in many countries on cryptocurrencies and fraud related to it so most of the people are afraid to lose the funds and the prices are rising as money is going from crypto to fiat most of the time. But as soon as ost government makes the crypto trade legal in the country the prices will rise. Most countries are understating the importance of crypto and blockchain and want to use it for their benefits.

I don't think they are understanding the importance of crypto but they are much interested to using the blockchain technology. Governments only want to tax the crypto that's what they are after if I have to say my view. Taxing the crypto assets may take countless of discussions before they can come up with something. Some countries made it very simple which is why they are now moving forward just like Germany.

I there a evidence that the price keeps falling with the upcoming years? I think there is a wall at $6000 i think if im not mistaken if it would be break then it is really a bull run of the price of bitcoin. From now with the price i dont know what to do with the price , i just temporarily uninstall my folio (monitoring app for cryto) so that i couldnt monitor its price  because it is too low right now

It is still unpredictable and no one can tell how long this bear market last.Still no signs of price increase in fact it has been down for almost two months now.But that's how trading business is so we'll just stay calm and patiently wait that this bearish market will be over and bullmarket will comes in.

Optimism with strong analytical mind cum discipline against not allowing the big Sharks/Whales maneuverability breeding Panic or fear in us, which forces some of us selling out our Bitcoin unnecessarily because of FOMO to the hands of these Big Boys, since they are not to me the sole Bitcoin values controller or determinants factor in this field should be strongly applied, to fas-track the movement of this bearish trend to the expected bullish scenes. However, past records had shown that there can never be permanency in the value of this Bitcoin that undulates with its strong volatility on ground. So, I perceived with optimism that towards the end of the year, the values shall immensely and definitely soar.

To be honest, it is difficult to predict anything about it because we don't have a high number of investors and on the other hand there is lack of awareness and mass maturity to deal with the situation which results in a panic environment whenever any incident takes place in the market. As far as my little knowledge is concerned, I believe that we will see the momentum in the second half of this year and it will result in a fresh all-time high level in this year itself so this bear market won't last long but as I said in the beginning, it is very difficult to predict the accurate figures.

Base on the current cryptomarket situation nowadays, for me it is hard to predict when the bearmarket ends, because we are not sure when the demands goes high. As long as demands will not increase and panic sell offs will not stop, we can't leave this bearmarket. But, I think it will not take so long, because bitcoin price is now gradually increasing.

I think that the autumn market will change bears to bulls. The summer will be bearish.

it is not about weather while bitcoin rise or down.everything we need to make bitcoin rise again is our believe to bitcoin and cryptomarket.so we will not selling any more our asset that make it down.

In my opinion i think market will rise again in 3rd or 4th quarter this year, hopefully this happen but this is my speculation only, its defend to many investors to pump the market.

In my opinion its really hard to predict the future of bitcoin if when it will rise and become stable again because until now crypto market is still dropping and no signs of recovery. May be it will rise again once the population of bitcoin investors increases by 50%.

To me, I think it will end soon. I see it ending when all sells have been exhausted and people are no longer interested in dumping their holdings. It seems we are getting to that point. Sell offs are reducing and prices are just swinging around a particular stagnant value.

What i do now is this low prices will last or two years meaning in 2020 will be the bull market,i believe that we cant expect a good growth for the next year or even on the following why?because we have got the highest pice last yeat things that should not happened if the whales didnt manipulate the market

2020 is the year of the next halving, price will grow until that, but that wllbe the year of great rise. Timing is right, if not happen that year, 2021 will be the new 2017. People are not patient, many can't wait couple days and here we talk about much longer waiting. Many will sell in panic until that new rise, many will sell at 20k when price recover, but some of us will wait patiently until that point.

No one can predict how long the bearish market will continue. It can end overnight or it can continue for months. Good news is that market has recovered a bit in last few days so it seems bearish market trend will end soon.

It so long I think since I joined it almost several months bitcoin will bear in the market but we will now in the half of this year hopefully there is a changes in price marketing this coming months.

In the past hacking had an effect on the price of bitcoin but the effects were only temporary, so I do not think the bear market is being expanded too much by the FUD generated by the hacks, at most some people are panicking and selling their coins but that is it, which is a bad news for many since I still see people with the hope the market recovers quickly and they are probably waiting that after some time passes and people forget about the hacks the price will recover and that is not going to happen.

Every trend in the market can last for as long as it wants to or as long as the supply or demand pressure is still intact and in this case we all know how much the supply has been huge for the past couple of months which is still not subsiding at least not just yet. Right about the tough and red market from April till June. The advent of July has been good so far. No price depreciation has been observed and I think we will have rise instead.

It has not fully ended but fading away with the passing days. Just check out the market charts for June and July. We are actually moving towards the prosperity. We have had a rise of more than $2000 in the last month. Hopefully this month brings the same bounties as well.

Yes that is right that the bearish market is already over and now we are expecting a good rally about bitcoin price in which bitcoin price will easily cross 15000$. Some people are even so much confident that they think that bitcoin price will again cross 20000$ and will even reach to 3000$. To me I think that the next few months are too much important for bitcoin.

If I could know that bear market will be to the end of this year, I will sell everything I have right now and buy later for better prices. Also, I must agree that 2018. year probably will not be nothing like last year. In my opinion, prices of alternate cryptocurrencies will continue going down, and price of Bitcoin will remain pretty same, around 20% up and down, before new bull market.
