Title: How to save my coins and tokens?
Post by: Mr.Mittelman on July 06, 2018, 08:26:42 PM
This year doesn't allow me too speak about "how to get some profit", I'm just looking how my money going down and have no idea what to do about that. I'm not a tricky trader or something, just got couple of thousands dollars as a reward for help some good ICO projects. So I don't ask about complicated strategies, my question is more about services allowing to automate "money saving". I would be very gratefull for good suggestions and promise to +Merit them whatever it means ;D

You need nothing but holding, your money may decrease too much but it does not matter you still hold them. I never trust other things except holding. If the coins are really trash you may not be able to see their rise again  :)

You can probably use a Trezor ledger or create some cold storage wallets if you don´t plan to move your coins to often I suggest.

If you do not know of any way in the crypto space, through which you can  earn more or put what you have into use, the best thing you can do is to hold. Hold what you have until the market gets better.

I've heard totally the opposite from traders. They suggest to diversify the basket as much as possible. Don't you agree it's more wise than to count on just 1 team of developers?

No, the question is not about safe wallet. I don't think it's a problem. As I see more likely just to lose the major part just by doing nothing.

That's where it gets tricky. No doubts that the market will get better at some moment in the future. But does it guarantee that exactly my crypto asset will get better?

As I see it's much more effective to diversify assets. No?

You neee to understand the principles of trading
It’s not all about hodling
It is all about hodling at the scariest point and selling at the desperate point
You need to be smart and make researches so you can be sure which coin to hodl
Don’t hodl shit coins  and expect wealth

Also be calm

If you don't have much funds to buy a hardware wallet like trezor , which is the best way of saving your coins, then a good exchange with high reputation in security should be used to lock your coins.

Thanks, mate. Sounds reasonable. Do you think you're able to make a better research than such projects as Coinmarketcap? What does your own research show? Any rising stars? Hidden unicorns?

Maybe think about exchanging some of your tokens (maybe the ones that are not so dear to you) into tether, since tether doesn't fluctuate (almost zero volatility), which means it is almost always roughly around 1$ price. That is the way to preserve your profits from falling in the bear market. But beware, that also means if the bull comes, portfolio won't rise as well.

First, why did you decide that Trezor is the best cold wallet? Second, why do you think some exchange is more reliable way than a cold or online wallet? When your coins are at the exchange's account, they're actually not even yours

I don't believe in Tether because it's backed by USD. What if USD will fall? Or you don't think it's possible?

There are a lot of ways to keep your token safe
By dumping them and getting good value for money
By hodling them during the darkest and bearish people
By been smart making research and buying more quantities only to sell at hogh price and get your profits

The best craze for you to keep the coin you already have is not to panic and rush to sell it when altcoin prices are down, because this will make you lose, you have to be patient and research the growth of altcoin in the market, therefore when you decide to invest money surely you should see the continued development of altcoin in the crypto market.

It means actually. One good way is to try to reduce complexity and volatility. First good example was tether coin, which has been (and still) trying to avoid volatility by backing the asset with traditional currency USD. Right now is not the best time to buy it imo. Another reasonable way is face complexity and diversify your basket as much as possible with top crypto assets. However, it has its difficulties.

It's not easy to diversify a basket to even 6-8 assets. But anyway it's better than to do nothing. Do nothing aka HODL is like to choose one gun shot instead of burst of machine-gun fire. Take a look at the project CryptoIndex.io. And let me know if you find something similar. I find it really interesting.

in my opinion to make your token safe is to store in a secure wallet like nano ledger s, trezor, metamask, and never store your token in any exchange because there is no reliable exchange.

i got some coins from airdrop and keep on holding them until now, we all know that the price now of all the coins are red meaning its no good to sell some of it, but do find some strategy in my own analysis base on the graph, you can see some coins have a good ath price but drop that very low like any other coins, i guess that a good coin to buy and gain more profit, i do check some of the price of coins and their lose profit, i did  sell some of my coins and buy that good coins in their dip and wait for their recovering to gain more profit in the future :D

So far nothing is clear with the market. But also it is already good, because recently there was a sensation, that all - only downwards. Well, now it looks like we can rush up too. Perhaps by the end of summer or by the beginning of autumn we will feel a jerk.  8)

I also feel the same way. I don't know what I am going to do with those tokens I received from airdrops and bounties since the market is going down. I am always having these regrets seeing my altcoins went down for almost -70%. What I can advise to you is to always check your wallet and once you receive your new altcoin, try to be updated with the platform's news when will it be listed to a trading platform. Immediately trade those for a profit since most of newly listed altcoins went up a price then gets dump after a week. If you think that altcoin you sold is profitable, try to buy it back at its lowest price or multiply its numbers then hold it. When the right time comes, you will be an instant millionaire.

Just holding. It's still few month after the bear market. If you plan to hold for long term, you don't have to worry about this. Moreover, you can buy more coin in this bearish market. Just stay calm, positive, and patience in this situation.

You should learn about stop loss in a trading.
You can't keep your tokens/coins losing value, if it breaks the support line on chart.
You should sell your token as soon as possible

There is none about automatic money saving.
You buy crypto you hold them and that is considered savings. As long as the token or the coin is legitimate.
Some will trade it to Tether since it is always equal to USD. There is no ups or downs to that token and that is the safest mode.
But you will lack the power to make profit. But you do not care right?

So take that road or just let it be with banks. There is not much room for increase with just staying there. They will take care of you. Get that 1 percent annually and live until you get old with just a little money.

I haven’t heard of services that help you save your coins. You could have done it manually by putting aside part of your money monthly and invest in a portfolio of promising coins.

Think of a saving plan that is good for your lifestyle and find a list of promising coins to include in your portfolio. It is safe to do it yourself too.

In order to save, you need to have a lot of patience, this is the most important and of course luck, it helps people very much, it seems to me that it is now very important to understand. The main thing just do not rush to draw conclusions.

Well I can give you an example of what I am doing. The coins I am investing in, Paragon, ICX are undervalued so I am waiting for them to rise this year when I can receive my profits. These coins are coming with massive projects and shall rise too soon so I am holding.

You can save your coins by analysing the situation. TAU and ICX for example are going to rise in some time, so, I am holding them for some time, but if I see them rising, I shall not sell them right away. I will see how far it goes and then decide.

It the depends from the person or the holder on how he saves his coins. It is really hard to manage our holding coins. If we will sell it or hold it for the long time. And it hard to make a decision, once you made it then nothing will be regret.

The main thing is HOLD. You should hold your coins and token. Thus you can save your coins and tokens.

Hi.

The best way is to hold your tokens or coins even the price or value of each is goin down because after the dump the price will not remain in lower and it raise again.

well, that's why you really need knowledge and experience as a defense in every situation. moreover in this decline, everyone feels the same thing even more so that big investing. losses can not be inevitable because it is part of the risk in this industry.

The best way is to buy hardware wallet and hold your coins there for a few years, just don't forget to keep monitoring the project otherwise you'll be left with a dead project. Most investment will gain value over years if they are good fundamentally so top 20 coinmarketcap is your safest bet for that.

hold is not a good decision. I hold a coin when its price is $ 20. and now its price is $ 2. I'm almost lost with this coin. best to keep your money and coin. Sell at a profit of 10-15% and cut losses when reduced by more than 10%. Do not try because these efforts will become meaningless with this market

to secure your coins and tokens you just have to store them in the wallet like myetherwallet after that you save the existing private key and do not let the access that is used to enter your wallet.

You can easily just hold your money or if you can't find out anything to invest in so I think you should deposit your money into bank to get monthly interest. LOL. Beside you really have smerit to give to other member? LOL. You need to receive at least 2 Merit to get 1 smerit dude. LOL. There is no way that you can give merit to others at the moment :)).

If you do not know of any way in the crypto space, through which you can  earn more or put what you have into use, the best thing you can do is to hold. Hold what you have until the market gets better.

That's where it gets tricky. No doubts that the market will get better at some moment in the future. But does it guarantee that exactly my crypto asset will get better?

As I see it's much more effective to diversify assets. No?
Look, dude, there is no such guarantee of any crypto assets here in crypto space because of the nature volatility, I know that you are aware of this because you are smart enough taking response in every opinion, no need to seek an advice, just go with your strategy.

There are many ways to secure your altcoin and tokens!
Use the official wallet, constantly updated
Create and store Wallet on a computer without an internet connection
Restrictions on insecure web pages, potentially fraudulent!

Lol... Do you have smerit to give at all. Well, i think you need to  explore three areas that can help you to earn more and you have to learn even if you know nothing about them.
You can search around for projects with good and working products. This year has really opened so many investors eyes to the reality about ICO.
You can learn about bounty and lastly, about trading
These three areas will earn you something worthwhile.

For me, basically when the token price goes down, I would like to swap it in usdt since usdt is a fixed token. Meaning, when you swap it earlier when the market price goes down, you can surely avoid early loss of profit. It is better this way. And when it really goes down, you can buy it back with a lower price x2 profit.

To this point, there is nothing much that can be done, since you are not an influencer and I believe you aren't s whale either, the market situation currently doesn't fevor anyone as the coins have lost and are still losing considerable amount of value, the red market has forced most people to sell off and cut losses as they panic and nbbail out, this is however something that should be much of a worry. We will not be in. This situation forever, that's a certainty, the best thing to do therefore is to hold on to these tokens and patiently wait for the market recovery

i like to say that your token safe is to store in a secure wallet like ledger s, nano , trezor, metamask, and never store your token in any exchange because there is no reliable exchange. always save ur token and coins in best wallet..

The best offer is now. Have patience and wait. The market can not fall all the time in any case, growth will begin. Now large capitals specifically reduce prices in order to force all small players to sell everything cheaper and leave. I think soon the next pumping of the market with money will begin and we will go on growth.

You need nothing but holding, your money may decrease too much but it does not matter you still hold them. I never trust other things except holding. If the coins are really trash you may not be able to see their rise again  :)
at least we still hold the coins we already buy, because if we are confident with the increase in coin prices that we have. Surely the moment will come if we are more patient and wait. The most important thing we still believe in the miracle.

The best way for you to save and hold your tokens would be for you to put it into a very good and secure wallet, that way you can be sure that your coins are safe no matter how long you have to hold the coins for. Always make sure that you use the wallet that is recommended by the project creators to store your coins. make sure to keep your private keys safe.

If you have a fortitude, you may try not only to save but also make a profit in the falling market. You may sell on local rises and purchase on local falls. It's also a good money! If not, the best way to save your money is to turn off your notebook and go on vacation without thinking about the market until October! Good luck!

this year the situation is very bad even though at the beginning of the year there are a lot of coins that pump even bitcoin can have a very expensive price but in Q2 everything starts to change, I just see the decline at first I think it will not proceed but longer crypto price becomes cheaper and of course many people are losing because of that but even so we must be optimistic because maybe in Q4 later crypto will be recovered
so just hold it

Only tokens with real use are good to hodl, the others go and sell them. Coins - you have to be patient right now, it's very hard, but if you wanna profit, don't sell coins with "small lost", then you should quit trading at all, that doesn't work like this.

If only to secure the assets we have, it is appropriate to have a safe wallet like a ledger or metamask but it is questionable how we can save our money when we make an investment but the price is going downhill while we have spent money in many ways how we out of a problem like that? because current market conditions are always not strong to go higher.

You can probably use a Trezor ledger or create some cold storage wallets if you don´t plan to move your coins to often I suggest.

No, the question is not about safe wallet. I don't think it's a problem. As I see more likely just to lose the major part just by doing nothing.

The best way is to convert everything in USDT, it will always be equal to $1, or in coins not falling after bitcoin. But in the latter case, there is a risk that they will fall for other reasons. In both situations, it is important to have time to convert back, in time when the market turns around. Automatic saving, doesnt exist, as far as I know. You can buy equipment for mining, within a year it will not have time to depreciate much, plus you can mine a certain number of coins. Or to create master node. It will be long hold with garanteed profit.

best move, buy a coin in when all coin down. This makes it easier to define the future. buy a good coin then keep it in the wallet and wait until the price goes up and sells. the best choice to buy ETH, Monero, BTC.

To keep coins and tokens that I have, I usually more carefully. Do not carelessly entered the market, and not indiscriminate selling in the market. Usually I'll hodl, until the price is completely safe. And I will continue to do activities in the crypto can earn more tokens and coins. For example, join the bounty or airdrops.

So you only want to preserve the purchasing power of your coins? There are basically three ways to do that. The first one is to sell for fiat, the second one is to sell for USDT, it is very similar compared to selling to fiat except that you are getting a stable coin, the third and final option is to hedge your coins, if an exchange allows this you can retain the value of your coins whether the market goes up or down.

If you do not need this money in the near future, then just put everything in Bitcoin and wait. I think that even if the price drops to $ 5000, it will not stay there for a long time. This is a fairly safe investment and will be able to bring a good profit in the fall.

Possibly consider trading a portion of your tokens (perhaps the ones that are not all that dear to you) into tie, since tie doesn't vary (just about zero unpredictability), which implies it is quite often generally around 1$ cost. That is the best approach to save your benefits from falling in the bear showcase. In any case, be careful, that additionally implies if the bull comes, portfolio won't ascend too.

Cryptoindex, right. portfolio diversification is everything, an index of 100 coins
why cryptoindex? why not token factory?
it's 100 vs 50 (cryptoindex/token factory)
There is nothing wrong with buying both coins so long as you fully understand how they work. In fact sometimes i’ts a good idea to spread your risk. .However, in the current Crypto market and looking at the alternative index based coins, the CIX100 provides the best and strongest formula and structure to help keep your risks low while representing the true crypto market

I prefer that smbd will analyze everything, not me.
too complicated. well, maybe it's risky but I trust AI that guys provide

You don't require anything however holding, your cash may diminish excessively yet it doesn't make a difference regardless you hold them. I never trust different things with the exception of holding. On the off chance that the coins are truly junk you will most likely be unable to see their ascent again.

It the depends from the person or the holder on how he saves his coins. It is really hard to manage our holding coins. If we will sell it or hold it for the long time. And it hard to make a decision, once you made it then nothing will be regret.

No one can control tokens price so you don't like to make more profit and save only your capital amount then if that tokens listed in any exchanges just convert it into USDT your money will be safe and keep it one thing in your mind you can't make an extra profit. If you looking for profit then you have 2 options one converts it into potential coins means BTC or ETH etc.. or else just hold your tokens.

If it is automation in managing your crypto portfolio then you'd be more interested in using AI or BOT for trading. If you use necessary APIs, it can help a lot in trading as it books profit at a targeted price and exits a trading that's not looking profitable.

Depends on that what do you mean under the term "stable". If you mean a store of value, go for projects that are backed by some kind of an asset, but if you mean a steady profit, master nodes or PoS might be a thing to consider (But firstly, it would be nice to earn some by joining bounties, am I right?). As I am not a fan of risky tactics, I would choose one of the "best" well-known projects with a big community that will not let it down. Secondly, if you are in control of a nice amount of money, I would recommend buying a hardware wallet that will help you with keeping your coins safe at all times. Freely choose any approach and you will be probably all right  ;).

You need nothing but holding, your money may decrease too much but it does not matter you still hold them. I never trust other things except holding. If the coins are really trash you may not be able to see their rise again  :)

I could talk for a long time about popular coins that have the function of passive income and will bring you profit even if you do not do anything. But to trade now, when the prices of many coins fell by several dozen times - it's a crime. Your crypto-currency portfolio should have been formed somewhat earlier, when prices were higher. Now, in order to save at least part of your funds, your tactic should be - HODL!

Yes by holding on to any crypto coin you will never experience any loss only if you would have bought the crypto coin at the cheap or at the time of market dump because if you are holding crypto coin and you see a market dump going beyond the price you have bough the coins then you may end up panic selling.

It depends on the coins that you have. If you are confident in the project, and the team is doing everything possible to develop it, then keep these coins before the market recovers. But if you are in doubt, you can change them for bitcoin and ETH and it will also be a good solution, as they will in any case grow in price and keep them safer.

I basically when the token price goes down, would like to swap it in the usdt as the usdt is a fixed token. Meaning when you change it earlier, when the market price goes down, you can surely avoid early loss of profits. And when it really goes down, you can buy it with a lower price.

You can save your coins and tokens on exchanges or on wallets. There are a couple of good exchanges and wallets on the block, all you just have to do is pick anyone you prefer, and lock up your coins there. They are usually easy and safe to use. Just keep your login info, passwords, and private keys somewhere safe, but easily accessible.

You no need to do anything all the tokens and coins from the exchanges will be safe in MEW as long you are not phished to anyone or shared your private key with someone. But normally it is better to sell your tokens than holding it because most of the tokens will lose their value in long term.

change to Bitcoin then trade with other altcoins.

But to trade now, when the prices of many coins fell by several dozen times - it's a crime. Your crypto-currency portfolio should have been formed somewhat earlier, when prices were higher. Now, in order to save at least part of your funds, your tactic should be - HODL!

I also think it makes no sense to sell when you are in the double digit loss, all you can do is hodl. Of course if you still believe in the project you can buy more to reduce the average price you paid for your token and the future uplift might be higher.

Want to save your coins right? The current market price tends to decrease if you sell the coins you hold will not even pay even a loss. You do not have the capital to buy more coins. So save money by waiting for the market to gain.

If you are confident with the coins that you hold, then you should not worry. When the market goes up, you will get the desired prices. But you still do not need to stop there. Take part in the bounty further and get more tokens, which will also bring you profit.

Well, I also feel so curious in how to save my coins for exactly secure saving and profitable next. So far, i'm just saving the coins from ICO in my wallet and some with high volume is stored on some ready exchanges. however, some coins listed on the exchanges are also saved securely in the big exchange. In this case, I think it is important to diversify our saving both inwallet and exchange. It is crucial to know which coins are better to save in wallet and exchanges. of course, we need profits and therefore, we need diversification for them.

The only way is to hold them. Panicking and selling at these lower prices means you've given up and accepted the loss which means you're never getting your money back. Hold your coins in your safe wallet, when the bull run comes, if you still want to sell, you sell . No need to panic. I've watched my portfolio half as well but I ain't panicking

You can save your coins and tokens in a hardware wallet or you may also save it to wallets where you are holding the private keys. For example myetherwallet or blockchain.info. These are safer than saving it on an exchange. Although the safest is to save it in a hardware wallet.

Automate money saving means you just save your coins and not doing anything.

But maybe the coin will reach 5k one day, at the end you will make profit, because it's THE coin, the most stable, it's for me the best way to keep his money and take the less risk

You can earn arbitration by increasing the number of your coins. By acting in this way, you will be able to maintain your balance at about the same level. Also, you can simply forget about your altcoins until they finally grow up to the course you need. Or you can sell, fix a loss and wait until everything else falls. And then again to buy. Choose what's best for you.

You can probably use a Trezor ledger or create some cold storage wallets if you don´t plan to move your coins to often I suggest.

For me you just hold it. And wait for the proper timing then sell it so that you will earn big profits. And if price goes down just don't panic. Leave it I know your coins will be fine.

Don't hodl your every coin, sell your rewards coins and make ETH or Bitcoin. And the best thing you can do, create an account in bittrex because it is very safe and secure exchanger than Binance! Then Convert Your ETH or BTC to USDT! Then Whatever goes with the market down, your funds will stay there. I mean if the market goes down again, your USDT won't decrease. And when you see the crypto market start pumping, convert your USDT to Bitcoin or Ethereum!

To save your coin and token then its better to hold it, that is the best thing you can do if you don't want to to lose it all. Also I suggest that you should know if your holding coin or token are have potential, so that its not wasting of your time. I also suggest to have wallet so you can stored your coin or token here but make sure you have strong password that not easy to guess.

Market condition down of course you have to hold the coins. If the price goes up you can simply sell it then you have to invest again. Hold the coin is actually also has risks. The risk is when the coins you are holding the price is certainly getting down will make you disappointed. While we waited to board the price takes a very long time. We suggest that you should capitalize on the conditions that are being dropped by investing in coins that have great potential.

There is indeed a personal reason why I would rather save my token or coin in my wallet. Price fluctuations play emotions. if you save your coins in exchange like indodax, sometimes hands are nosy. often panic and often click on sell and click buy without consideration. have you ever experienced it?

If you are a person who likes to panic, it is highly recommended to save coins or your token in the wallet. because I see a good investment in this token. so I will save it until the price is really good. and far above the purchase price.

Okay, so the latest info from Tokenomy, and need to know. I have always been the admin of bitcoinindonesia.net, there is no official affiliation with Indodax and Tokenomy. this is only a personal assumption and not a financial advisor. so use references from this site as a consideration for making decisions. and all your decisions are the responsibility of each.

indeed I think like that, by only holding assets that we have, it will not make a big benefit from the assets we have. enriching science and experience, and starting to trade crypto is the solution to be able to get more profit than we only hold assets for months with profits that are not comparable to the time we hold assets.

Long term investment with the tokens will not work most of the time because many tokens will lose its value after a while since it listed on exchanges so most of the ICO investors were short term investors so doing trading is the best way to make profits but need to understand when to buy and when to sell is the real job.

There really is not much ways to make profit from the coins in a bear market, that is why you just see people talking about buying coins and holding the coins because making money in a bear market from cryptos can be very tricky if you don't know what you are doing. it is better to just stick to doing airdropss, bounties and buying coins when you can to hold for the bull market.

That's right, you must secure your assets for possible hackers, taking all those extra security features and make it sure that your assets is really in a safe wallet, if you can have offline wallet it will also give some good security so you don't have to keep it in a web based wallet and just place it inside your computer and activate all available security measures.

I agree on you mate because we do not even know what will happen and we cannot say that everything will be good. Holding has its possibility that the token you have will move to be in the higher portion of the value or the price. It is better to predict for good than never.

The best thing to do in the market situation is just to hold your coins or stick to short term trading.. I like trading bots like Cryptohopper or Trade Santa. because they are easy to use and Trade Santa is for free.

I totally agree! Of course everyone learns on their own mistakes. Until I realized that you need patience and calmness is very much lost, taking the wrong time
people panic will certainly take that decision wrong, because they cannot think calmly. I hope everyone not to panic in order to take a decision with calm.

I think that the most important thing is not an easy process, because today it is probably the most difficult thing that can be done, because in the conditions of the market it may seem terribly difficult to save something.

Try to keep them on multiple exchanges and different MEW wallets. This will help to diversify your funds and to make sure that you will minimize the risks of getting scammed or hacked. The more storage places, the less is that chance.

Actually there is just one thing to do, sell when peoples are buying and buy when people are selling this is the key. But unfortunately it is not as easy as it looks from the outside for example you wait little more rises and it can start to falling hard so you cant sell after that, we are learning everything in time.
