I am a bit broken hearted now i know like i know emotions have no place in trading. I am trying my best not to feel a thing but i was so delighted when it went $177 thought that is just paving the way so bull can enter. Now i dont really know when ETH would be tired of going down and finally starts to climb up.

Jeez... etheruem keep diving, so unfortunate. But bro, you are not the only one on that. I believe many other hodler are also expecting some improvement, but who knows what is coming next   :o

Just HODL, ethereum will recover but well we do not know when.  I hope you have job outside this forum, you will need it since i t will take sometime before we can see ETH to be bullish.  You can also try to day trade to take advantage of fluctuation but I know it is more risky than holding but at least you have a chance to breaking it even if you bought it at a higher price.

I will continue to hold ETH until the price returns to $ 200, because at the end of this year it will be bleak for current crypto prices, will it rise to a glorious future again and especially don't panic at selling times like this.

ETH is liable to take a bigger hit because of the SEC crackdown on ICOs. ICOs in the future are going to be inclined also to look to alternatives because of the issues with scalability on the ethereum network.

The fall in the price of Ethereum also affected the miners, this is noticeable by the fact that the Difficulty of the Ethereum network decreased, but the profitability still dropped to almost zero, so some miners would refuse to extract Ethereum. If in the near future the situation does not change, the consequences may be sad, but I am waiting for the January 19 update of Constantinople, which was announced by the Ethereum team. All big entreprises and companys are creating their own coins. They don't care about this coins (BTC, ETH, and so on). They would never allow this companys to have access to data of other companys. The amount of contracts signed for ETH is so low, it's just neglectable.

when something is in a bubble, it has to burst and continue to go down. you may see it stop at some point and take a breath but continuation is inevitable. in fact most whales let the order books to fill up by stopping their dump then they restart it to get more profit from their dump.

we are now down from $1500 to $150 and will continue to go down. they have been trying to keep it from reaching the real value of ether ($50) but they have been failing so far. let's see when they succeed in stopping this dump.

That was bull trap and you we are victimized. I was even invested on that time hoping that market will have a good market price increase. It seems like the market now is already controlled by the huge whales and this is the reason that market price could never gone good. They are always taking back our money every time they invest and then pulled out their money back including ours after we invested on crypto.

How long you've been holding ETH? At what price you purchased it? I'm not sure what's the reason of the dump as a whole. Yes, as a whole for the market because looking at other coins, they are also being dumped with higher percentage.

It's not an exception that ETH is dumping today but consider also that the market is on a big correction. I'm not sure if this is cause by the upcoming event on December related to Bakkt's and they are giving a wide entry to have cheaper price for those folks.

I have long accepted the idea that the cryptocurrency will not grow in the next 2 years. So I just wait and be sad.

It doesn't feel like natural anymore when it all fall down like continues to do so while it already grow. Another fud is manufactured every time it grow, fud after fud seem not a natural thing.

ETH price is now too low for investment fresh. And from this price to further decline would be more efficient to get the Ethereum at a lucrative price. So, invest now in ETH like an SIP investment. If any decline then invest more 10% of your corpus and continue till the price stable and wait for the next boom period.

Very good entry point if you are still waiting for the right time when invest into this sleeping giant. They will soon introduce new update, many good things are coming, I an still positive.

Ohh It's literally killing me, I was suspected Ethereum will dump till 200$ and stops , but now I horrifide a lot, I discussed it with my cryptofriends and our opinions agreed that price can drop to 100-120$ and probably will rise a little afterthat.

a very pathetic picture, the ETH is falling, people are panicking, but the worst will be the decision to sell everything and get out of the crypto now. the most reasonable decision will be to be patient and wait, you may have to wait for more than one month, but the market will recover in any case, too much money is involved in this process and the solution will be simple.

You should hold on, tho I think ETH will dip a few more times before bounce back, eventually.

I agree with OP wherein set aside emotions when you are with the trading activity as this may only yield bad decision making. Currently, ETH is again @ $157 as of this writing but this seems to be just a temporary deep decline due to a major correction in the crypto market. Moreover, let this be an opportunity in buying ETH at a much lower price since this will progress in a couple of weeks and you could surely be gaining promising profit after ETH could recover from this dip.

There's been some updates on the Ethereum network that didn't seem like a thing, they hardly affected the price in any way. Very strange to see such in crypto.

I bought the ETH in USD30 in this year and hold it in the wallet for my long term investment, now I have lost half of my money, but if it does not reach to my target price, I will hold all until my die.

I can feel you, but as compared to other who bought ETH at $1000 and above, I believe you will be able to breakeven easier. Don’t panic and watch the market first. I don’t believe crypto will only continue to go down.

Not the fact that this is the last minimum price this year. If bitcoin will fall in price to $ 4,500, we will see a price of $ 100 per ethrium coin or even less.

But at first companies need to start from something. I mean it is a common practice where at first company uses some platform just to conduct ICO and than may be to create their own asset.
So in this case platforms like Eth, Cardano, Stellar are quite needed.

Just focus on the market I agree this downfall is a big disaster in crypto history and it has impacted a lot on small investors. When I saw the market Etherum, I was immediately shocked. I think this is a very big decline and I want to cry. I have several Etherum and of course this has decreased the value of the assets that I have. Until now I don't want to decide what I will do, I try to wait and at the same time hope there will be a positive change in the next few days. I don't like to confess it but me too , It wasn't what I predicted , even my worst scenario wasn't like this , I have taken away some of my money from crypto world away , I'm not going to take part in if I dont see some recovery signs .

At fourteenth November there is a signal to sell all crypto-assets when the prices dropped. Today's prices is not the bottom. It also could drop to lower levels and I do not see any reason to hold major cryptocurrencies.

I think few were ready for this situation. But I think that everything can change the main thing that the nerves remain in place. So the main thing is not to panic. ;)

I think many people today do not trust cryptocurrency, no one wants to invest in a constantly falling asset, the price of altcoins makes me terrified. The bulls must return otherwise everyone will lose faith in cryptocurrencies and leave.

The market of cryptocurrency always very hard to predict. I think you should be patient and have a belief about ETH. I think the next year Ethereum will rise to at least $ 1,000 and surpass the XRP soon to become 2nd in the cryptocurrency market again. And the bull run will come on February 2019.

I have doubts that we will see Ethereum for 1000 dollars at all. I think that we all need to forget about the prices of January 2019, it is unlikely they will be repeated in the next couple of years.

The market is in full downtrend and reversal is very elusive at this point. Ethereum price is creating opportunity for new  investors and existing ones to take good position in this new cheap and attractive price. The ethereum value is way more than what it's price now!

So always, of course there will be answers over time, but now it is better not to look at the price if there are no intentions to leave the market, and then in such a situation it is easy to change your opinions after seeing the prices.

Folks... it's really just the market capitulation cycle and people need to calm down.  But if I'm being realistic, we all know people are subject to fear more than they are to hope.  So yeah, the price will go down more just like it did in 2014/2015 and then it will go up again. 

The sad thing is that people selling at these levels really should have never bought in the first place.  It just means that whoever is selling invested money that they couldn't afford to invest.  When you invest you leave your money in until there is at least some measure of improvement in your position or you sell to gain a better position in something else even if that's a near-term loss. 

Hectic times like this are the times to buy cautiously while also leaving room to buy more if it goes down further.  And I do believe prices will go down even lower than they are now.

Hello mate, it's time to relax. You have to show patience, especially when it will be going down further. It is possible that it will reach in double figures or less than that. Now that gap between XRP and ETH has reached to 4 billion dollars if this condition continues, then it will be difficult for ETH to recover it's second position in market.  

Hello, the last 1,5 years were a rollercoaster for me and a let of us, but i learned a lot und it was good fun. I still think we will go up at 2019 and development is ongoing  just look around

To be honest seeing prices above 1000$ for ethereum was unpredictable, but 150$ is nothing! I think rational price for ethereum is 500-700. We will see rebounce within 3 months. Now I've got to find a job to generate additional income to invest it in crypto. i haven't lost trust in crypto

Buddy, you're not the only one who is disheartened right now. Many people bought eth at higher price but price of is gradually going down which is heartbreaking of ETH holders. We can only do thing , wait for the bullrun to recover the losses.

We are all in shock but I think the bear is really not giving a space to all coin as we are in the dip already and any thing needed now is to over look any little dip as what we could see now can't go below  at worse $80 if worse come to worse so we all need to see the bear through and hold our position till when bull will come and everyone have time to laugh again.

When witnessing the reduction of ETH from $207 to below $160, I am so sad and lost to believe about Ethereum and cryptos as overall.  But after that, I research carefully about the technology and the innovation of Ethereum; I will still holding it for long-term to get the chance to earn the high profit when the market goes up again.

And it already way below that right now I think. Let just keep watching this i belive when it drops wey lower like $100 the owner and the dev will find something to do about it with the gain they already made out of people experiencing the bad market right now or he leave it to die off just like that.

Like usual, bitcoin price that makes an altcoin like this, that coin really has a big influence on altcoin and the market. This time, this also affect that ethereum tokens, not just him. So many of their prices also dropped as eth grew cheaper.

Even ripple that got a better support is now falling below the resistance which means all cryptos are in danger. For now, any price that we will see should be normal. We all have the same feeling about Eth but what can do about it, complaint will not finish our problems. Take decisions about your asset and do it right now, Eth still have possibility to goes down. I still love it when ethereum drops low. I keep on buying more and more with the bitcoins I have. I used to have about %80 of my income at bitcoin and than sparkles of other little small stuff and with a bit of eth. In the recent months ETH got so big in my portfolio that right now they are almost head to head with bitcoin on dollar value for my portfolio.

I love ethereum and will always continue to love it, no matter what the price is. I understand it is difficult for miners to make any profit because of the price drop but they could potentially invest into it now instead of mining it. It's under 130$ right now. I dont know what to say.. Some people are happy and see this like new opportunity to fill up their bags, but I am worried for many things. One of my greatest concerns is that everyone who got in crypto in last year is looking and feeling realy stupid right now! So what can we expect from new investors, if they ever come!?

Ethereum is already go to 130$ in this days. Because bitcoin already drops its price and same what happend in ethereum now. So some people prediction that they expect will happen ethereum and bitcoin in this year not true maybe next year the price of other coins will rise up again next year.

I also don't know for sure what actually happened to Ethereum so the price fell free like now and what negative news affected it, I can only hope that in the beginning of the year there will be new hope.

It's just so unfortunate that Ethereum will go down as low as this. I did not believe it will be so terrible like this. I really do not know what exactly is wrong with cryptocurrencies these days. It's so unfortunate that I've lost a whole lot of money with this dip.

There is some reasons for losing value like this, first reason is of course bad market and bitcoin, it is dropping %15-20 in one day so ethereum or others are dropping much it is normal. And second reason is that there are a lot of shit and scam projects and icos, most probably they are selling their eth when they collected at ico time so there is some big reasons behind this falling.

It's almost the end of the year, so who knows what can happen before the year ends or once the new year starts. Once upon a time I wrote that Ethereum price will drop below 100 $ and everything goes in this direction the same is waiting for our bitcoin where the price is going to around 2-3k.

I think this is a time to be strong. If you still think that ETH has a great future, then hold or buy more for DCA. If your belief is starting to waver then try to consider everything logically - if you decide that ETH price is not likely to recover then by all means sell, otherwise it is a case of forgetting about prices for a while until the market recovers. Ether price will go up 100% because ERC20 tokens, if you wanna buy some perspective token you have to buy ether first at some DEX. I trade on them for long time.  For me list consists of Ethermium (https://ethermium.com), Bitshares, ForkDelta, cryptoBridge. This is the future, even Binance launching their own DEX.

I thought that Ethereum was a coin that was very stable and had a very good level of stability, but it turned out I was wrong, even the value is now down.

In my opinion, the price is bad not just this time. In fact each year also occurred. It is felt in this year, because at the end of the year 2017 rising prices are phenomenal. Then it is better to be patient and hold funds only time improved.

Ethereum has been going down sharply over the past few days and i believe it will be in double digit in a few days time. There has been some unusual activities in the market for some time, who knows some big players may be manipulating it.

I think it will happen in this year, the price of ethereum hit $200 dollar. If you look at the coinmarketcap right now, the price is at $160 and it's only from 4 months since 2019 start. We still have so many months and it's really possible to hit $200. Not only ethereum though, other alts will go up too.

Well, I bought ETH at $400 or thereabouts, so I guess I am sort of waiting for $200 since that means I'm finally back at 50% losses (imagine me at $90 ETH heheh).

Anyway, today it went down to $158 shortly but finally after late afternoon recovery we are back above $160. This is going to be a long time of recovery, the whole year we may not even see $190, but who knows? 2020 is the real year to see things pick up maybe.

Ethereum returned back fastly from 85 dollar in few days, this was good profit for me but I dont think it can pass 200-250 dollar in this bear market. But I hope I'm wrong.
