What are your expectations for ICOs in 2019?

For no one it is a secret that this year for the ICOs was not the best  :-\, but what do you think will happen to them by 2019?

Will it improve significantly?

the ico market will certainly change again in 2019, but i think he will not change for the better. maybe we will experience the end of the ico market in 2019. no matter what happens, i think it will not be good.

Icos pegged on the trend. When there will be a big bullish trend and then people will try to speculate it and then rush it. Remember last year and everyone wanna rush ICO to create instant profit as fast as possible. It will improve but not in a short time. I guess you must be patience for that.

As long as there is no control over SCAM ICO's, I don't think things will change. Crypto is gaining attention and thus we see a hike in new projects, but a majority of them go SCAM. Maybe a moderate regulation would work in favor and work in favor of investors.

I expect something good that will occur in the 2019 as many development are in line with next yr. What I'm waiting mostly is ethereum release of serenity and plasma. This upgrade will prrobably the best chance for them to acquire their position on the market cap.

2018 has been a bloodbath with coins losing 95-99% of their value. Doubt anyone can advise you to buy anything in a 10 month downtrending market where most have gotten rekted.

For 2019 I think it's better to do your own research, as people advices in a market where most of investors lost a lot is not the better option.

Many people are expecting ico to be re-energized in 2019, but the current ICO model seems to have come to an end.
If ICO is still a world dominated by scma, then 2019 will not be better. Unless ICO can find a better way to avoid scam, running on the right track in a model that people trust, it will still be a bad year in 2019.

I expected that ICO is going to become more crowded, but not going towards a good way because the reputation of ICO already tainted, many investors going to diversify their investment and there will be more iCO with copycat features, if there is no regulation then, we will be flooded weak coins and this situation wont be too good for crypto

I think ICo will continue but it will not like as now, it need to change and the trend of ICO in 2019 will be implemented by the trading floors and people who buy token will be one of shareholders of this company and be shared profit

I hope that more valuable ICO projects will emerge in 2019, and these ICO projects will receive some legal supervision from the government, which will protect the interests of investors from deception.

2018 is really a disaster for many iCO and investors.
I am hoping that 2019 will be way better than this year.
I think it will really be better, there will be some ways to get the scammers out of the community.
Investors now will be wiser and will do more research.

in my opinion this year, old investors are on vacation and away from the market with assets that remain embedded in the market, and they will only see their assets back in the market when conditions have improved, maybe next year

My expectation is that new ICOs will have better concepts and not just copycats of established projects. Another is that all start up projects will have a working product or an MVP even before starting a token sale. 

there will be no ICO anymore, investors are not as stupid as you think, they better save their money on MasterNodes and wait for the next few months to be ready to harvest their crops
The ICO is now getting worse and worse, because there are no regulations from the relevant government that cause people to easily commit fraud
2019 = no ICO

Trend is falling, ICOs collect less money and they copy ideas. This process will be regulated by SEC to my mind.
They have already payed attention to passed ICOs and existing products like IDEX and etherdelta.

I hold ICO in 2019 will be like in 2017, all ICO will give me profits and i can buy my home by using money i earn from ICO investing. It's my dream but it seems difficult because the good time for ICO was over.

There are many investors that have benefited from ICO investors so also are project that have taking of courtesy of ICO crowd funding.  ICO happen to be new way of investing with a lots of benefit for investors and project alike I believe ICO investing will increase in the coming year!

The success of ICO projects next year directly. will depend on the overall state of the cryptocurrency market. If the market continues to stagnate, or even fall, the ICO projects do not expect anything good. And forecasts are not encouraging in this regard. In any case, in the first quarter of the year, it will be very difficult for ICO teams to raise funds.

It is very simple to answer, the icos performance is linked to the overall crypto market performance so if market stays like we are currently seeing i dont expect icos to perform well rather they will struggle even more but lets stay positive and hope that from december and january market will recover and volumes will be back.

everyone would want to have a significant change in 2019 from the ICO. indeed this year is not the best year for ICO, but it does not mean that there will be no change in the following year. I am still sure there will be a significant development from the ICO.

There will be an improvement for most of the upcoming ICOs because SEC will also get involved to it.

I think that someone who wishes to start an ICO without any amount on his pocket won't happen, just like what it did this year. Most of those ICOs are just collecting stuffs without any support and budgeting before they propose those projects to the investors. Corporation ICOs are likely for 2019.

If no country can effectively regulate the ICO market by 2019, the ICO market may die because of too many scams. Although I don't want to see such a result, I can't stop these fraudsters!

My hope for ico in 2019 is that all the ico that appear in 2018 are at least the first launch price, but I'm sure in the following year all investors will redirect to crypto currencies and the price per ico will increase significantly.

There are still teams that would try to get away from registering themselves, I see them regularly on job sites even hiring CEO for their privacy. I think SEC can't do anything about it which means these regulations may not really affect what lies ahead if a team evades or do not agree with what is in the regulation. Bitcoin itself isn't even regulated but only the exchanges.

One thing that i wanted on any ICO will come later is, there will be no more scam project/ICO anymore.
Scam ICO is really pissing me of, hate them so much.

I do not expect anything from this market, now I do not sell the coin I am holding, I'm determined to wait until the market rebounds. Even if I lose money I still do not sell.

ICOs' success next year all depends on the market situation. If the price will keep dipping, expect that majority of ICOs will still fail. However, if the price starts moving before or after the year ends, we can expect that the success rate of ICOs will increase compared to this year.

I think we will still have ICO's in 2019 but many of them will be done as Security tokens and more attention even for the utility tokens will have been paid to complying with existing Securities regulations. This means that the anonymity that attracted many to cryptocurrencies in the first place will largely be finished.

my hope, hopefully in 2019 ICO will no longer have fraud. I am fed up with scammers who destroy the hopes of innocent investors.

What? hiring their own CEO? I think those devs are going to use that hiree for something that they want to be covered.

It means that project is something that people shouldn't invest with if they are just hiring their CEO. A CEO should be the head of the project and from the very start he/she has been there. That's the idea, they can regulate the exchanges if its operating and those coins, they really can't control it.

I hope that there will be no more fraud in the ICO market, but this is impossible, so I no longer have hope for the ICO market, it may face death next year!

Don't predict anything too quickly because the crypto market is in huge bear run which bring down the prices all the way to where the prices was in 2017 before that bull run begins so now most of the investors are not ready to invest on anything so the projects will be postponed until the crypto market get better.

Nothing will happen in 2019 if there's no regulation over scam. I don't think things will change.This is  certain expect there is a change .

I expect the ICO to be properly addressed next year by the investor protection agency, so that there will be no more frauds under the guise of ICO, for now many ICO projects have failed due to a decline in investor interest in investing in ICO projects, due to fears of Investors in ICO fraud which is very much this year.

It's no secret that the market is just as low as the ICO, of course when the market or align or recover, then the ICO, too, but most investors invest in ICO for several years or more, their currency should not instantly do x 10, wait and ICO 2018 will give a good result.

If the market is in the same position, then it seems to me that ICO will behave in the same way, only a growing market can save the situation!

My expectation for ICO's for the next year will be higher market price than this year. ICO's will be popular for the whole world and for the good of all investors.

I agree. Continuous scam would probably make the ICO goes down. It will take everything down and we cannot control it. Then it is right to have few regulations to maintain good image but then there is a possibility that it will be hard to be mandated. But then it all varies on the users at the end of the day.

Hoping so! But i think the recovery is not that easy because the crypto-market has bleed too much this year. As we know the market has made for many years to grow like it was in 2017 and between the latter part of 2018 it was suddenly down to its lowest size since 2017 high so the 2019 for me still not good for ICO's.

A lot is being expected from ICO in 2019 but the truth of the matter is, if ICO is still dominated by scam project, much as regards change shouldn't be expected.

Yes it will improve and should be improved for the good. There are reports of new ICOs fleecing investors and bounty hunters under various pretexts. This trend is bad for both new genuine projects and investors. The year 2018 is marked with such reports. So there are less new ICOs as compared to previous years. The year of 2019 will be good year for both cryptocurrency and ICOs, although new ICOs may decline in numbers for various reasons.

My expectations in the year 2019 will it be the yer of booming the crypto industry. We all know that this year 2018 is not good for the crypto industry and newly published ICOs because scam projects are increasing in numbers as the time passed by. I hope that in 2019 , the number of scam projects will be minimized and the quality of ICOs will back to normal again like on the good old days.

I do not know how much successfully the next year will be for us and the crypto currency market ascwell, it is hard to predict such things, as the practice showed. But the it is the fact that it will be transformed very much. Nowadays we see decreasing market and can only hope for increase and profit in future. I expect that some month it will take for the crypto market to recover, it may take even a little longer  but hope that the spring 2019 will surprise us in a very pleasant manner.  will see.

n my opinion, all these ICOs are slowly being blown away. if now there is a wave of criminal investigations into fraud in ICO, then all potential campaigns will be covered with a copper basin

I don't even think of what ico will do this year talkless of next year, many are just in for people's money with no better project or product to offer, and i will even be good if regulation can start next year to stop the way ico are coming out everyday with no useful idea.

I think it will going worst because scam ICOs keep increasing nowadays. Those scammers won't stop in just a few projects. They will keep on creating new ones for their evil doings. I hope people learned enough in 2018 to avoid those scam projects and save their money from complete loss.

I hope that the ICO in 2019 will hopefully have a good and potential ICO in 2019. No ICO project is a scam, because if a scam hurts a lot of people. And most importantly the ICO project in the future should be able to be enjoyed by many people. Examples of useful projects. because with that the project will be a big success going forward.

I think that the number of ICO will be greatly reduced next year. People do not want to risk and invest at the ICO stage. It is very dangerous. I think that investment funds will come into this game that will finance good projects.

I am expecting a more regulated ICO next year 2019, with that there will be lesser ICO since they all need to have a license to the certain constitution in order to start.  The era of anon dev had been long gone, and unregulated/unlicensed ICO is now being demolished.  So I guess there will be less scam or less half baked ICO next year.

I hope the ICO on the front as experienced much growth and a high level of success. I also hope for the distribution of the ICO ICO supporters to facilitate accelerated to continue to support the progress and success of the ICO. minimize the possibility of the ICO in order to scam more usable again in the future.

Of course I would like to see a rapid growth of the Crypto market. But will there be growth ? Now the market is heavily manipulated, and if the guys with big money want BTC to grow, then there will be growth. If you don't. Growth will not

My expectations are better compared to 2018 year.
I think there is a 3 x potential growth of market cap,but we won't beat ATH during 2019 year.

My hope is that the ICO launch must be limited in number and the projects offered must be able to compete with coins that have been registered in the crypto market.
But the ICO project will follow market trends, as long as the market trend is still bearish, the ICO project will be difficult to develop, but if the crypto market has recovered, I am sure ICO will be crowded by investors.

It all depends on the situation on the market as a whole. Of course, if negative sentiment continues, then, accordingly, the ICO market will also go into minus and die, because no one is interested in investing in a project that then does not enter the market, and such today 90%. I think still any hope for ico project when launch in 2019, because market is going stable condition even the bitcoin price is going down

We are probably not going to see any improvement during the next year, I would like to see the market going up once again and the icos becoming successful but each day that passes that scenario seems more unlikely, there is less interest in cryptocurrencies and it doesn't seem to be improving and if there is no interest and demand for cryptocurrencies then we do not need as many new projects.

I think a lesser number of strictly audited ICO's will take place in 2019, and they will fare considerably better than the bearish massacre of 2018.

I agree. The SEC has already fined two ICO companies. There will be no unregulated ICO in the US at least.

I also have same question and I think that noone can answer it because nobody knows, because if this trend will continue ICOs will surely die, Bitcoin is loosing in its value, who wants then buy some tokens?

There is still alot of pending ICOS reserved for the year 2019. It is much more promising and good compared to the ICOS in the present or 2018. The good thing is that, new year also comes with new opportunities that awaits investors and bounty hunters as well.

The state of 2019 ICO market will be shaped by many factors which will includes the overall market sentiment, credible projects with solid usecase and enhanced innovation in the industry. As for me, am neither bullish or bearish about next year ICO. Those factors listed above and others will determine my approach towards ICO investments.

scam icos is one of the main reason why people are not that hot in investing in icos aside from the bloodbath market that we are suffering right now. my expectations on next years ICO is poor because of what we see right now in the industry of icos. this will only change if the market flips and raise a new all time high

I think most people here, hope that in 2019, all coins will increase. because at this time the increase is very expected. so for now we wait for everyone to return to their origin.

If 2018 is bad for ICO's then 2019 would be worse. We have seen the greediness of people from this year resulting to a bad experience on the market after a 2017 blast and market hype of bitcoin. If ever ICO's would find a way to erase the bad things about them that investors thinks then 2019 would also be good, but who knows what 2019 would bring?

I expect that projects will not just focus on the exchanges, wallets, and some most common project framework. I hope ICO's will introduce more technology which is beneficial to the human race and its living.

We have to find the way to detect the scam ones, (which is actually not very possible, because it is ruled by many factors)

2018 almost finished and it was worst year for ICO project. 80% project going to failed for market bad situation.
Most of the project crowd sale start 5 months ago but still fund not reached their target.

Market recovery will begin from the first of 2019. ICOs will be more fruitful from now because if market is moving forward, investors are very much interested in ICOs. Then ICOs will be succeeded.

I think it will be a survival of the fittest kind of situation.The strong will be hit but they will continue.The weak ones will die before even they start out.I believe this will show many icos that the time for just cool cathphrases are long gone.If you don't have a good project, you can't survive in this market.

As for me, the market has been through a lot this year so I guess, things will get better for us in 2019. I think, the market flow would be better and the prices that we expect would also be better for us to reach. Hopefully, we'll all reach our target goal next year.

I hope with the decline in eth prices more and more investors are interested in investing. I also hope that there are special regulations for ico so that investor rights are protected from scam projects.

Expectations are that in 2019 ICOs rate will increase as compare to that of 2018 and crypto will reach almost every corner of the world , more and more acceptability by the govt and as per Mcfee pridiction BTC will touch new heights.

I think there'll be a new bull market in the middle of 2019. This means that those projects which will enter the market at this moment will have every chance of the growth. We have to wait and see!

The whole community of cryptocurrency are now the wish that the market will recover for the year 2019, so everybody is expecting to have to join to ICOs which are true to their customers and investors and we also expect a good outcome and success for all the ICOs when it enter the 2019,as well as bitcion and other cryptos.

Me, too. Hopefully ICO fraud can be reduced, many investors are harmed so they lose confidence in ico. If the market improves, prices bounce, chances are that ico can rise and positive speculation circulates again. Besides that, hopefully the ico that is delayed in 2018 can rise in 2019.

My expectations for ICOs this upcoming 2019 is it will be a lot different than ICOs in 2018 because it will be much better, there will be more promising projects and there will be no failed or scam projects. Hoping that the market will raise all of it's value again because we are all expecting success this upcoming year of 2019.

I have high expectations of the ICOs in 2019 that the scam ICO projects will be prohibited and banned forever in the cryptocurrency market. At that time, only the potential ICO will survive and the market will improve on the exchange rate. ICOs always the best investment to get high profit!

It depends of Bitcoin price and market in general.
As we see now, there are so few ICOs that want to enter an exchange, because they know that the price would be dumped.

Overall, I expect reducing of general amount, there will be best of the best

I don't agree that 2018 wasn't the best for ICOs, many project gives many 'x' in first half of 2018(zilliqa, ontology, quarckchain, holochain, nkn, iotex, tomocoin, arcblock, mainframe, libra credit and more) may be it was best year ICO and it never happen again. I think ICO in current state are diying.

There was a latest article on cointelegraph that discussed about the trend of ico and it looks like the trend is going up right now. This article was creating a complete comparison between the chart of ico from year to the year. You should watch it rather than try to speculate the trend of ico dude and it's not going work.

i don't know for sure what will happen in the future, but i hope that by 2019 there will be a good change inico and everyone also hopes for the same as i am now. the market is currently falling, so all new projects have difficulty developing.

I expect ICO projects in 2019 to be better. ICO will grow back and attract investment capital of companies, large corporations and even individuals. The development of this market also greatly boosted the electronic money market. Hope everything will be fine. Investment will bring more profit.

I would be more optimistic about this and be more on the positive side. I am expecting that whatever was needed to be fixed with ICO's this year be fixed by 2019. I do not want to invite any negativities for next year. So, in 2019, ICO's will be great and many hunters will be definitely happy!

i think in 2019 icos will certainly be more regulated and there will be much less than this year. kyc could become standard as well as other restrictions. if that is good, we will see. i am not sure.

My expectation will be the same. There is no move that was being done by the crypto community so there will be no change on the upcoming ICO's for 2019. Majority of them will be scam while only a few are worth the investment. It is very painful to see that the money generating ICO's are now being used by scammers. It is obviously leaving a negative impression on crypto and probably one of the reason why the market price keeps on dropping.

i hope in 2019 legal standing of cryptocurrency has certainity from most of government.so no more controversy about is it legal or illegal and investor comfort to invest their money into this market.

I'm expecting a good quality ICO to be available and all of scam ICO will not appear again.
That way, gathering some fund for an ICO will be easier without being worried about any Scam ICO.

That will never happen, you need to get this if you are an investor there are never guarantees that you are going to make money, there are always opportunities to make money but it is a completely different thing that you are going to see them, that you are going to understand them and that you're going to be able to take advantage of them, and if you cannot do all of that then you do not make money.

My opinion is that investing in ICO 2019 will change, the investment rules will be even tougher than in 2018, and how it can only be guessed.

Let's hope that 2019 will repeat 2017. It was a golden time to invest. Many have earned fortunes this year.

I consider that in 2019 there will be a market regeneration. Perhaps it will take not one year, but the fact that the market will be filled with good projects it precisely. Regulation will become tougher. Investors were already tired to invest in bad projects.

I hope there is a miracle, after a lot of FUD, and fraud in an ICO, the volume of investors become a little. they are afraid and worried about FUD and fraud.

but, we can still get a good ICO in 2019, there are 2 factors that can make ICO better in the future
1. regulation of crypto that can safeguard investor assets so that when investors are caught in fraud, the law will decide.
2. spread and volume that can increase the value of investor interest.

because nothing is impossible, I am always optimistic that the future crypto will increase or the market price will soar again just don't know when it will happen and hopefully in 2019 there will be the most beautiful gift that is the rise of crypto prices

I hope for ico in 2019 it will be much better than in 2018, prices continue to rise steadily as it is now, big hopes for me who are still unemployed are only my income

I'm expecting that the number of nonsense projects and ICOs will be lessen due the fact that around 90% of the ICOs are failed. Also, considering that ICO investors are much careful and wiser now. They don't just investment.

2018 could be a good year for ICO I see a lot of good companies coming in to test the blockchain in their business like Championshave and also many exchange are coming out from reputable developers and they are accredited by the government where they are operating on example is the LONDON BLOCK EXCHANGE or LBX.

i am hoping that things will be changed next year. ICOs this year are failing and huge profit loss is usually the outcome. If there will be  positive changes in the market behavior, there's a huge tendency that the ICO projects will again be profitable. Many efforts from ICO projects and bounty campaigns are being wasted due to the negative results despite of the potential of the projects.

You right ICOS aren't good investment after more scamm accusation, i suggest need to be regulated all ICOS project this coming year 2019 to secured the investors.

I think that the issue of ICO should be regulated at the legislative level, because the main problem is the presence of a large number of fraudulent ICO.

There will be smaller number of ICOs in 2019, and the hard caps will be much lower than this year. Most of them will need to show their product before starting to raise funds.

If there will be regulations of ICO and good projects deliverations then maybe 2019 would be better. Investors would also be wiser in the coming years because we must learn and make a good a decisions.

Now that the entire cryptocurrency system is collapsing, the $3,700 bitcoin has made all investors fear that the cryptocurrency bubble could cause many altcoins to disappear quickly. This is a very horrible phenomenon. I am now beginning to doubt the future of Bitcoin.

With bitcoin and altcoin price situation right now I think never get good for ico project investment at 2019, many ico will be failed because all of investor afraid for invest their money with bad and lower price of bitcoin and altcoin.

I think the future of the ICO will be the type of securities token (STO) it is secured by the corporate assets and then the ICO will be safer and more attractive. However, it takes time to complete the legal process.

I expect that not just this year scam ICO exist, but to include year 2019, i mean we are already faced all kind of ICO projects and most of them are scam, and im expecting that the numbers of them will multiply na xt year. Most probably when bullrun starts to come.

I do not think that for the ICO in 2019 there has been no development, maybe ICO for crypto is being improved, a significant increase may be at the end of 2019 there will be an increase in ICO.

What to do on such market?

If that becomes true then it is going to be another difficult year for icos, people are tired of investing in icos and not having results, and now they are not only losing money but they are also losing information to hackers, if things get even harder it is likely that many will no longer invest in icos since they will not see the point of it anymore.

In 2019 I expect regulations on ICO market and that they will be much more transparent. The success of ICO much depends on the market conditions and I believe the next year crypto will reach $1 trillion in market volume and it will be a good year for ICOs as well, much better than the existing  was.

In my opinion, a lot of events are planned in 2019, which can help the cryptocurrency market to get out of the crisis, but I expect it to happen in the second half of the year. Therefore, I am sure that 2019 will be more successful for ICO projects and we will see a lot of innovations.

IEO  has taken over,  lots of projects don't wanna do ico again rather they prefer IEO,  but ico has been doing pretty well but it's not as expected though,  I'm not  expecting much from ico

since last month in 1920, prices in trading did not match when buying at ICO, like XCT, Highbank, I have bought the right time when the ico selling price after the exchanger came out was very satisfying, I just hope that at the end of this year everything will go smoothly like last year

There's nothing to improve anymore because after investors found IEO and STO, they shifted their attention to this two new crowdfunding, new coins should now target IEO and STO and just forget about ICO because it's notoriously known as a haven for scam PROJECTS.

I disagree with STO, STO is the same as ico nothing is successful, indeed STO is a new way but is not in demand by investors, and investors prefer IEO

Still we can't determined the fact how it goes to 2019 because this is unpredictable but I'm just hoping that it will be more fluctuated and having potential by next year together earning tremendous profit in ICO.

now after 3 years i believe that ICO's are already dead? sorry but I'm not visiting the Alltcoin service section , does any of these ICO are still working ? though i still see multiple Bounty wearing account but yet many of those are claiming to be scammed after couple of months .

So basically the answer is ? There is no clear expectation about ICO's and i believe that in the coming couple of years thus will be died permanently and none will believe what they are promising aside from being scammer.

I've invested in 5 ICO's around $300 in 2021, and I made a profit of around $50, but I'll hold on because I'm sure that the market this year will continue to improve, and I'm planning to invest in more ICOs.

We are at the year 2021 already and your questions might have been anwered already. Nothing good has ever happened with ICOs at the year 2019. ICO's being a trend has been long gone already after all the coins that failed before and after all the issues and rumors it has faced. Way back, ICO is indeed a good way of earning profit since most of it are legitimate and making efforts to be successful. Nowadays, there has been plenty of other ways to earn in crypto already. NFT's are at the top of their game right now specially Axie Infinity that has been making so much noise lately. ICO's are nothing compared to any other ways of gaining profit now.
