I feel the market is done dropping, for the most part. It's corrected after the amazing bull run in 2017-18. A bottomed out bearish market is the best time to buy, imo. So in 2019 we should all be shopping for long hodls! I'm curious what other alts people are buying. I will be picking up ETH, ADA, XRP, WAVES, HLS and either NEO or OMG. What will you be shopping for this year?

You forget the cardano for you to buy, this applies for short and long term, cardano has good quality for the future with the smart contract system that they launched

This year I plan to buy bitcoin. because it seems to me that after such a fall, the first who will start to grow strongly it will be bitcoin.

Yes you are very right perhaps it is the time to buy and then harvest the profits after few months, if you ask me i will stick with the big boys to invest right now so my picks will be btc, eth, xrp, ltc, neo, ada, eos and dash. Some other have good potential too but i think too much diversification can cause complications later so better stick with the best ones.

I think most of my buys this year will be long term hodls. I don't see a bull run this year, maybe next year. The market needs a big game changer to get people excited again.

I don't agree with your some expectation coins. But I believe DGB, SC, NPXS and HOT can be profitable. These ones includes risk, I know that but also promising good profit.

I will focus the major alternative tokens like neo and eth than i will get some bags which are dumped in crypto market. But i will not take much risk .

HOT: It has promising a network idea and competitor for blockchain. It is not easy to make it. But they have a great community support.
NPXS: Firstly they have Binance support. And also has great and hardworking team. Their POS idea can be crucial for future. And their community support is great also.
DGB: They have an amazing technological structure. For me, it is the most promising project for near future. People believe in DGB's future and never give up from the beginning. The only disadvantage of the DGB is the disagreement with Binance.
SC: It is also great project. And their value so less from its ATH! They make it again to reach there.

I started to follow Monero last few weeks, I've read many posts and opinions and it seems very positive to the future, I don't say I'm going to buy it, but at least I'll watch the price development more.

I am interested in waves. 2019 is the year of change for this coin. I see waves are more developed than a few years ago. what this project needs is popularity. if they already have a community big like ethereum, I'm sure the price of waves will fly high.

so this year I will focus on trading Waves, maybe this will give me a little profit to return my lost money last year.

in 2019 maybe I will buy ethereum and bitcoin only. the reason is because I already have a lot of altcoins that I bought last year. if this year the bull run becomes a reality I will sell all the altcoins that I have to use to buy bitcoin and ethereum.

Bitcoin is alone more than enough and going along with coinmarketcap must be a bad idea because they are simply listing lots of corporate coins which are known for manipulating their circulating coins just for the reason of listing top in that site. I believe there will be no need to go for any other altcoins but we must tightly hold and buy more bitcoin even in this year 2019.

The most coins I bought is the coins which have a low price, but I don't close my eyes for the coins with a high price like litecoin, monero, dash because I am sure that coin can increase as before. I think if I can have more money, I will buy more the coins you mention although I already have some of them. The end of dropping is not yet finished as we are still experiencing it's spirit. The presence of drops bring panic and fear to crypto community that result to some leave crypto and some chooce not to be active as long as crypto is still struggling. The real end of drops when we can see the rising of bitcoin tremendously. Once bitcoin goes up almost every altcoins go with the flow.

some of the coins I buy are the same as what you hold,
like OMG, XRP and ETH coins,
but for OMG about 1-3 months I will release it, because according to predictions the price will rise above 200%.
but for XRP and ETH I hold above 3 Months.

i plan to buy more vechain this year because it is really a long term hodl in my opinion. im gonna add some of eth and walton chain as well. I am a fan of supplychain that's why id go for vechain and waltonchain. everything can happen but im happy to buy those tokens that i mentioned and hodl it till the next bull run.

I'm going to take Ethereum. I believe Ethereum will make a good rise this year. One of the most important reasons for this is that it will make FORK this year. The other reason is I don't believe in Ethereum. The other option would be NEO. I find NEO's project successful.

I personally still have coins in 2018, so I will only buy a few coins in 2019. Buy ETH, XRP, and EOS because for now, coins have good potential. And I'm sure if 2019 will be the best year for Crypto.

I will go buy other altcoins, those that have added tens of times the value of the token, when the bull market is coming, the profits may be higher.

Something keep telling me this year is gonna be a huge one for us all. Bull run will surely shows up though this ain't 100% sure. Hence, i will take advantage of the moment and invest since,  i get so much for just peanuts.

Ethereum will be interesting for buying if it will be above 0.025 BTC next few month. 0.025BTC is a key support level. From that ETH can rise x4-x5 in year or two. Also LTC is interesting but not above from 0.006 BTC

The author has got a good list of coins, but i still do not know the direction towards which NEO is going. Ever since it has plunged, i have seen any development on it. If there is, the price would have risen. I just want to believe that the team are still very active.

ADA is dead.  It's been over a year and they haven't even released a mainframe yet.
The only reason why it has been valued so high is because people speculated that it would be better because the tech was peer reviewed.
But without any product, it will collapse on itself.

XRP is the evil corporate machine that is not sustainable.
Especially since there is no use for the XRP coin itself.
All of the claims of major banks using it are totally trumped up and major financial institutions are creating their own blockchain solutions now.

You forgot BNB it is one of the promising coin out there! Take advantage of the price in the market today coz we never know when is the bull again but buy until the price is still low. I prefer to buy WAVES, ETH, LTC and BNB. I would also want to buy some coin that is not so popular but has an actual product like AWC and IMP. Total supply is quite interesting plus the fact that they have an actual product, it will boom in the long run for sure!

Agreed, I believe many people will be using binance in the future exchange! Once again any token or coin exchange is very promising coin/token for long-term.

ETH will have many big communities because the display and application are friendly, XRP I think not a crypto but still good choice. XLM TRON also have to buy in 2019 (my opinion) Stellar is very cheap, Tron also has many events and any event will get a FOMO from Justin :)

I have picked out all of the coins on your list HippiePyro and also included Stellar on there as my favoured picks from the top marketcap coins. For smaller coins from recent ICO projects I am looking for quality teams or solid ideas and for that reason I have also included WLO and SHR with a risk added for CARD and X8X.

I am agree with you, the cryptocurrency market recovering and it is the right time to invest today. But we should be clever and never invest a coin which is not in Top50 list on coinmarketcap. Otherwise that would be big risks. BTC, ETH, XLM and DOGE coins are my favourite coins, i would recommend you to stay away from Ripple, there are too many question marks about XRP.

I agree bnb token looks very good in the market and I think it will keep in the top for a long time , for me now is the right time to buy it because the market is bearish and it will clearly show a bullish trend in the near future.

Investing in the ETH is not profitable as in the old years due to the less ICOs and the market looks for the new breath without the top cryptocurrencies. The POS system will not be good for the ETH development and price will decrease. This is bad news for the ATH price dreamers but I prefer to face the outcome of my cryptoanalysis.
Bitcoin investors are not going to withdraw their profit even if the price crosses $17000 in my opinion. The trend is up and the market will make triple bounce levels before reaching the mentioned price. Buying BTC is preferable than investing blindly to the dead altcoins.

I am losing faith on most altcoins. Sold them all except for BNB as I am also trading at Binance. ETH and Ripple aren't showing improvements the past few months. Bakkt is launching this September 23 and Bitcoin will possibly eat all the trading volumes again. When Bitcoin dominate too much of the market it means bad for the altcoins.
