Eth is possessing a great promise and potential among all the possible contenders to the throne of Bitcoin. With a good dev team behind and with the leadership of a young Russian-Canadian programmer named Vitalik Buterin, it was also a recipient of the 2017 cryptocurrency bull run. I remember that Eth reached more than $1,000 back then before dropping dramatically.

Now that Bitcoin is excitedly showing its bull run, many Eth holders like me are wishing that it can do its dance upwards as well. Yes, it is showing some good movements but not with the same intensity as Bitcoin.

Will Eth get benefited by the current strong showing of Bitcoin or will do its own slow like snail move?

I hope so.. dam its a shame i sold my eth when it got $140 i bough them in $70  but i supposed this is all about getting profit and dont look back.. the main objective its no to loss money. and dont doubt your instint men.. the time i have doubt about it are the times i have lost the most. Just dont skip your stop loss

Yes, Ethereum is gaining very quick now, I think it can reach $300 very soon. ETH is still one of the best Altcoins that worth to invest in. Anyone buy ETH at $80 now get more than x2 profits. ETH price now is still good for buying.

Yeah you do t need to regret your action after all you made profits from you ethereuem investment, it never too late to buy in again as the ETH market is showing good sign of reaching significantly good amount in the midst of this bull run, and as the ops rightly said ETH was above $1000 in the 2017 bull run before the market crash of 2018.

The good thing about cryptocurrencies is that they follow the trend set by bitcoin. And the way bitcoin is moving, all the currencies need to follow the trend and they will. So its still a very good time to invest in as the bull run hasn't really started for the ethereum but it will.

A lot are expecting ETH's rise after the bearish for so long. This has been the reason why ERC token teams became scam because they lose the funds so the ETH's rise could make them come back and probably develope their project once more. They all depend to ETH yet they promise to overthrow top coins.

Yes mate if you check the weekly chart it can be seen that reversal is confirmed and eth is nicely moving upwards from here and 300 to 400 looks easy.

I don't expect eth to surge like bitcoin did because as per past history altcoins always takes time to follow the step of bitcoin when surging takes place ,I think altcoins still needs time to start surging

Bitcoin investors may start to put more of their money into ethereum since it hasn't grown as much as btc during this pump.  200 dollars is still a very low price when you consider how high the last high way.  eth has definitely established itself as a rock solid crypto alongside bitcoin.

Yes, Eth too would have a bull run but as the last bull run, this run would be too dominated by Bitcoin. Bitcoin would have the most spectacular rise followed by other low priced coins.

It seems that with the large growth of bitcoin certainly ethereum will experience the impact of all this growth. I currently don't have ethereum, because now my assets are more in bitcoin. In the future maybe ethereum will increase again because I see also growth for ethereum is very good followed by other altcoins.

We have to take ride of this bull run. There was an opportunity(or may be still available) to accumulate more.As per the market capitalization, Etherium is maintaining its second position. If everything goes well, I see etherium price to $500 until december. For long run, it may go again to $1500. At the moment, on dips, we need to accumulate more. Also we always need to maintain our positions as long as possible. Since in many worst cas scenarios, etherium has proved itself, I see a very good future for it with is coming upgrades.

I saw a post about ethereum that its crawling and I agreed to it because while bitcoin is flying ,ethereum chose to be crawling like a snail but maybe anytime soon it'll show the strength bitcoin posses now. In my opinion, yes there is a possibility the bull has started and the eth price movement is quite significant from what I monitored from $ 170 now the price reaches $ 210 and maybe sooner $ 250 or $ 300 will be reached and hope after bitcoin show it's time for altcoin to rise again

Yes, indeed we see the current market is very good and has the potential to pump back over time and the incoming investors to support all of this especially for ETH we see a very good movement following the BTC pumping further, it is very feasible to become a list of current investments and maybe for the future, we just wait for the market to move, everyone is optimistic about all this.

Of course when the ETH price reaches $ 1000 it also impacts when the price of Bitcoin grows so high that it causes many altcoins to follow the BTC price because all coins also have a partner with BTC but still the price increase will not be the same as the BTC price.

The bull run by bitcoin will definitely benefit ETH because history they say does repeat itself. For instance in 2017 when bitcoin got to close to $20,000 , the ETH coin also bulled to around $1,200.

Looking at your snapshot too, we can see that eth has started its own bull move. It might not be very volatile like bitcoin but it will take its turn.

I find it difficult that ethereum can follow the solid and consistent step of bitcoin, because at present there are many other platforms that are displacing the relevance of ether in the market of intelligent contracts. Not long ago ethereum remained for many weeks in a ratio of 1:10 with respect to the price of bitcoin, and that ratio has dropped to almost 1:25, so seeing the current momentum of bitcoin seems very difficult, almost impossible for ethereum to match its past performance.

Already ethereum circulates at prices that are not appropriate. A good increase is also possible in current situation. In think, the market will decide what will happen. Maybe a new ATH ...  ::)

Based on the graph and based on the crypto expert ETH will be hit at almost the same level of bitcoin. All we know that crypto is very popular now and ETH is the second the strongest coin here in crypto world so we are hoping that like bitcoin,ETH will hit into bullrun very soon so ETH investor will win back all the loss from the past price fall.

During the bear market ETH has lost a lot from it`s market share and  hopefully it could recover some.
It seems  up to now, that BTC strengthening it`s dominance and alts could not follow.

It's impossible not to happen in these market. Especially those that have the same situation as me, that has just missed the big opportunity in bitcoin uptrend and bull, what we can absolutely execute is to launch and invest on ethereum or some other altcoin that has potential. In that case we can assure that these altcoins will follow.

I noticed that ETH is on fire and is brushing against $220. This is a major signal that the bull market is real. The sad thing is that so many people sold during the bear market, and they will watch these prices continue to go up, and if they decide to jump in again, they will probably come in too late. The lesson is to HODL.

start 2019 i believe is best time for invest, i think that cause ethereum 2.0 and we got good news for crypto in this year. not just ethereum get benefited from bitcoin XRP is same experiencing a pretty good increase when the market is green

Everyone is waiting for Ethereum 2.0 so the uncertainty won't allow for the price to go up at the moment.  Hopefully, the dev team comes out with it soon.  But in a way I am glad they are taking their time to make sure it goes smoothly and not rushing it. 

Bitcoin pumps up with a huge percentage and still continous to increase and now ethereum follows its pace for increasing continuosly. Ethereum the other day was stucked at $170 however now pumps up in compariot with bitcoin and still rising together their prices on the market.

Eth will also recover ground similar to btc and other top 20 coins/tokens. Hope to see it break it's ATH in 18 to 24 months same as btc.
The rise may also be a bull trap but I do hope the market recovers.  8)

Yeah of course it can happen, yesterday ethereum got pumped and maybe it is possible that bull run will come to ethereum. It depend how bitcoin stable up there, if bitcoin stable another altcoin will follow up to. I Hope Ethereum will be like 2017

No doubt for ethereum that it also competes to incraese like bitcoin. Ethereum also has the potential for being continously increasing like the bitcoin does. Both coin now showing good performance in the market and lots of crypto enthusiast may think that bull run is now approaching. As we can see on the market Etherium is getting ready for its come back for 800$ that he lost last year, like bitcoin Let's just also hope that no whales will gonna dump it sooner or the price will gonna fall again to under 100$. Have you seen the current ethereum price? I was amazed when I went to the CoinMarketCap table today and saw that the ethereum price is already 225 dollars. This is despite the fact that yesterday the price of this coin was at the level of 205 - 207 dollars and the price of Bitcoin has not changed significantly since yesterday. This is a relatively large price spurt ethereum. Finally this coin woke up. I wonder how she will behave further?

Of course ethereum will definitely have it's own bull run... there's no need for holders to worry or think of swapping their ethereum to bitcoin right now.. as this will only have a negative effect on the price of ethereum

Yeah the price of ethereum right now is showing us that ethereum is also in bull run too. Not only ethereum but all altcoins also affected by the bull run which is very good to happen. In my opinion ethereum can reach $250 or even $300 if bitcoin price increase to $9k-$10k in this month.

I am sure there will be a bull run for ethereum because ethereum is one of the strong coins in the cryptocurrency. Ethereum still waiting a good time before it's happening but I am sure that the bull run will happen soon. Yes as BTC price is going up so maximum investors are running through behind the BTC. So alt market going down as no body thinking about alt market. But we have to wait for stability of BTC market so that alt market will hit again. So don't be upset with ETH or any other alt coin.

Not that much if you are expecring a huge. However, ETH had a big dip and if I am correct, it was around $84 or so and if you had bought at that time, definitely you can hold for some more days which may turn ETH into $400.

Ethereum is slowly following the price movements of Bitcoin and indeed this is the impact of bullrun. all coin prices have increased even though not as fast as Bitcoin prices. so you think I will be disappointed and panic with ETH because the price doesn't go up as fast as Bitcoin, oh of course not, Ethereum is a useful asset in the future and will generate big profits in crypto.

Without any doubt, eth is gradually growing very fast among altcoins, Waking up this morning to see eth at $224 shows that anything can happen after now, $1000 is possible.

ETH price is increasing incredibly. Over a day it increased by 16% and 33 USD! This is amazing. I thought ETH price would hit 250 USD within June, I did not expect it can happen in the earlier of May! So, we can say it is a bullish run for the Eth, though I wished to see Ethereum at 250 USD as a bull run!

ETH price will go over the 350$ if it continues to destroy all those resistance levels. Altcoins are following the top coins and this means altcoins will hit a higher price if ETH reaches to the new price levels.

I prefer to see eth move as snail as its grow. That shows on how strong it is and moving positively gradually. Moving like bitcoin is also good but I'm more positive if it moves doesnt like the king. What the chart show is the price movement of ETH in USD value. It is only an upward trend because it was being pulled up by the uptrend price of bitcoin. But if you check its BTC value, it almost left unchanged with little movement. This bull run may have a different effect on ETH. In 2017, ETH ICO and its smart contract were at its peak. Right now, almost no one is investing in ICO because of scams that can also cause slow movement for ETH even on a crypto bull run.

I cannot say that ETH is a good contender to bitcoin though ETH is in 2nd position in coinmarketcap who has the nearest position to replace the bitcoin. But if you have followed them for a long time then you can notice that ETH price will not move especially if the bitcoin price is not moving also.

In other words, ETH price is dependent to bitcoin price therefore in my conclusion there is a below 3% possibility that ETH can replace bitcoin in the future.

Good for you. My Eth experience is not actually so rosy. I bought some Eth when it reached $350 in 2017 thinking that it can go back to the $1000 level it once reached. Now, I am cheering Eth to go ahead and maybe at least reach $500 so that I can realize some good profits. I can still remember the days when I looked at the monitor and saw Eth at just $10...I should have bought at least 10 at that time but doubts creeped into my mind.

Eth was the the blackship of the crypto market last year, even while some made certain recovery, it kept sinking down without any reasonable rebound until it got to around $120, now it seems this will be a good year for etherium and I have taken position and quite hopeful about it.

Whenever bitcoin grows its always expected for altcoins to grow as well so ETH will keep growing if bitcoin continue to surge in price ,I don't think ETH can grow on its own anymore if bitcoin is not surging

wel we dont know actually is this the start from dump since early 2018, and we all know its the first time in this year all coin reach ATH.
like eth to 200$ and bitcoin above 8000$, if this continue growing maybe in q3 or early q4 bitcoin will reach 10k$.

I usually don’t like the fact we are not encouraging these projects with our slow move mentality, the fact that they did a dramatic increase in the last bull does not mean we should always believe that it is the way they will forever be operating, that last performance you talked about was just because market was simply manipulated.

We are the ones always encouraging the whales to manipulate the market, so now, we want whale to come gain, manipulate the market, increase ETH to $2000 and then we dump it back to $200 for us to know that ethereum and some other coins are performing naturally with their project. The most important thing is that they are increasing in value, no matter how slow.

It was as slow as a snail for many months. I am glad that it is going fast up. Many people will be able to get their profit and return money. I wish to see the time when Ethereum is offered for more than a thousand again, and we will think - what is it to do better - to hold it as it is going up or sell it? If this bull run is confirmed, then I don't think only Bitcoin is going to rise. Every other coin with a strong team and working product also has the potential to rise. Although ETH's bull looks quite slower as compared to the pace at which BTC is running.

There are pretty good chances that ether will boost from this bull market too. Bitcoin is gaining some good gains this time and with the rise of bitcoin the altcoins are in a rise as well.
Ether was around $70 at the bottom price this year but has now crossed $250 which is more than 3x times. It has good potential and it will surely cross the $1000 target again.

Whales! Whales! Whales! Does it just mean that the market cannot grow healthily without the fear of whale’s involvement? Definitely people will be taking profit as they see increase in price, but their working product should have prevented a whale from dumping.

Not everyone in the market are there for the purpose of taking profit soon, we have some people that are just using ethereum for their retail businesses, while some are just holding it for a very long term, if we can get big industries using ethereum for their projects, then it may be impossible for whales to easily dump this time around.

Absolutely there is no iota of doubt that any coin will not be able to contend with bitcoin, not even ethereum, but I see ethereum sometimes performing without the influence of bitcoin.

Recently, I saw the way ethereum spiked, I think it took about 14% increase, while bitcoin remained stagnant at about 3% increase when ethereum was surging, but later, bitcoin picked again.

I can say that they are not directly dependent on one another, I wish there can really be an explanation to how these coins actually starts mooning too at the kickoff of bitcoin, prior to bitcoin bull run, they were all on red, but ever since bitcoin started its own run, they have all been performing greatly.

Ethereum is the most popular altcoin after Bitcoin.
This is widely accepted by many of the Bitcoin experts to be very much honest.
And as now The price of Bitcoin is increasing then it will surely affect the second most loved coin which is Ethereum itself.

I think when bitcoin will pump all of the altcoins even eth will pump too. Last time we are in the middle of bear market and i think its time to do a bull run. If this pump will continue in the next week or month then we can expect the big chance of eth to reach at that level again.

If it’s not Bitcoin or Ethereum, which coin will be the most reliable again? There is still no coin that has ever been created that will ever be as perfect as the technology of BTC and ETH, so these 2 will always be the choices of any one that is being introduced to crypto and wants to join crypto.

I believe that with the way this market is going, even with all the corrections we are seeing which is normal and should not discourage us, ethereum will get to $500 on or before the end of this year, I am very optimistic about this, as usual, we just need to continue to become patient as usual till we see the glory days.

I think it is not important that a coin will grow in value after Bitcoin or ETH starts growing. This should be kept in mind that it is the project that gains attention and yeah I agree that the practical implications of Bitcoin and ETH are way too much, coins like BNB and Litecoin have gotten some good values as well and could really grow in days to come.

I believe the Ethereum price will be one of the most rising coins in the bull season. Also according to the rapid increase in Bitcoin price, Ethereum price is increasing slowly now. But i think it will change soon. And Ethereum price will rise fastly soon.

Ethereum ever since didn't disappoint their community who believed to them. Just like what I always read here that ETH will always next into bitcoin, well it is always happened.

There is no bull run for ETH, but it has been benefited by the good movement of bitcoin.
I would not be surprise if anytime from now it will reach to 300 usd, but it's still a low price compared to what it has achieved during the last bull run.
Like bitcoin, it's not even half of its ATH yet, so if bitcoin will reach $10,000, we might see ETH started to have a good run also.
ETH reaching $600 is like half of its ATH, so it's nice to be back at that price so the run will continue.

Not only Ethereum, but also all altcoins have to follow directions and trends of bitcoin, so because bitcoin has been in its bull run, altcoins, including Ethereum will be in their own bull runs soon. Actually, altcoins rallied considerably since their bottoms, and nearly double their prices in fiat or even more than double their prices. I think its depend on how fast BTC reach new ATH. We all know sometimes altcoin follow their mother. We can look back in 2017 how strong btc and many altcoin also follow and reach new ATH. Yes maybe..as the bitcoin value appreciate and so as the ethereum and other altcoins. The price of bitcoin will always have an effect with the price of ethereum and lucky are those whonhave strong hands for they are able to hold their assets for a long period of time. Eth also is showing some good signs though the movement is not as great a that of  Bitcoin . I believe with time , Eth will also start their bull run .According to my own observation, i believe all altcoins holders are converting to bitcoins and this did not help the movement of Ethereum . ICO organizers as well convert their eth to Bitcoin because of the positive signs and great movement shown by  bitcoin . Ethereum still is the best altcoin to invest and hold because so far, the price of ethereum still up and down and we can make a profit from the differences in the price. I see that the market for ethereum still moving fast although it is not too fast but we can buy ethereum at a low price and sell it at a higher price. There are lots of reasons why Ethereum took  over the second position in crypto and maintained its position very strongly over last few years. The one day chart of Ethereum shows that in case the coin keeps moving up, it might struggle at its latest peak around 0.0415 BTC. That $500 is a big comeback for the ETH already, we have to look back in the past reflect on the success of ETH has done this year so far.
ETH was around $150 at the start of the year, price has not doubled yet but this is not the dip, so basing on it's dip, price has doubled already.

Nothing is impossible in crypto world, but i predict it will have a time for bullrun too, i am a positive person, that is why, things are happening positively, sometimes negative, but if there is no bullrun for ALTS and or ETH, then there could be no problem, we just have to learn to trade well, reading the graphs and riding on the trend, thats how it is.

i think the biggest support is around 225$. If it goes below that, i think 180 or below will be really fast. This proves two very concerning points.

Bears know for a fact, that the more they crash the market, the less investors will be there to deal to high volatility. Bears know that the market is so weak that a huge crash can doom it for so many months. They also know that this is the hen with golden eggs. They can get the egss everyday, or they can kill it. So i think this is a controlled dumping. This is , i think, a movement with two versions:

- They've sold becase over 300$ there is no demand. Absolutely noone values ETH more than 300$ right now. So holding coins for 250-280$ thinking it would pump eventually is exposing yourself over massive profit selling (specially those that bought around 220$).

- This guys, want to test the resistance of ETH. They want to know how low they can buy, so that they can get max profit. How in the hell would you know the bottom of a coin, unless you are in control of that??? So i think the 225$ resistance will hold. in fact, my friend at Santander bank has told me that all automated stops he has seen will jump at around 210$ dumping the coin easily with no support.

ETH can go up fast out of the blue, does not have to wait for ETH 2.0 update..
the market does not care about updates
it cares about market cycles... you'll see there most likely will be a bull run before ETH 2.0 in my opinion

But how likely it is that ethereum is going to grow for no reason at all when bitcoin is not moving at all? Like most coins in this market ethereum is trapped in a price range of which it cannot escape and most of the time when I see this in the charts the price has a tendency to go down instead of up, so there is not much that ethereum is going to do during the next months despite our wishes, you only have two options to accumulate ethereum now or to wait until the price begins to recover to invest in ethereum.
