COVID-19 is still spreading all over the world, there are so many people affected by the virus, there are a lot of people who can not work anymore because of being afraid to go outside.

We should do something to prevent COVID-19 from spreading to each and everyone, if we want to play gamble, please do not go outside and find any nearest casino building just to play. I know that real life casino is better when playing because we can interact to anyone and we can also feel the ambiance of the real life casino but as of this moment, it is better to play online gambling than real life casino, it is better for you to stay at home to avoid contact to many people.

Let us help each and everyone, by simply obeying our authority by staying at home, do not go outside. Let us start stopping the virus, it will all start with ourself.

I also wanted to make a thread about this. While the economy is suffering, I am wondering about the impact of COVID-19 on online gambling because it seems to be among a few things that aren't supposed to be in decline. On the contrary, gamblers that usually go to places are likely to be encouraged to play online. Crypto casinos are a big part of online gambling, so perhaps they also receive an increased amount of visitors. Not to mention that gambling might get popular as a way to distract and get relieved from all the stress triggered by the pandemic.

Hmm, we got different point of view regarding this matter. You are right, only 2% (or below as far as I know) is the mortality rate of Covid 19 so panicking is unnecessary at all. Actually, SARS is more fatal than it (around 10% I think) that's why I'm confused why people are acting like it's the end of the world already :D. Why they panic sell and too scared to go outside? Remember, the virus is not airborne, it can be only obtained through droplets so as long as you cover your mouth and wash your hands at all times then everything is alright. Well, I understand that they are just making sure they will be prepared when the worst case scenario happen but I hope people do not buy it too much because it creates more fear thus leaving a stigma.

The mortality rate is low and it mostly affects the elderly. Chances are if you get infected that you will recover. But what if you infect your dad, grandmother or the old neighbor next door. Will he recover considering that most of the dead are aged 70+? That is a gamble I am not willing to take.

I have been playing online ever since, I am not a kind of guy who likes to go to a physical casino and play, so as a gambler I am not so affected with the conona virus threat. I have some friends who really go to a real casino, maybe I could teach them to just play online, my favorite is sports betting but season was cancelled, so maybe its time to try to explore difference kind of games.

Though casinos may implement medical securities in the entire facility of their casinos, they are fighting a virus that could spread through droplets and the like, so they might as well just adopt online gambling instead. I'd rather let those casinos close down temporarily, and instead, put their focus in their online gambling sites, enforcing more people to prepare for a possible influx of users because of the virus.
Ignorance I suppose? Numbers may have been told, authorities may have informed others, but more and more false information is being spread compared to legitimate ones. And users, gullible as they are, spread this information unknowingly that they are spreading false ones which literally just contributes more to the mass panic already happening. Mass hysteria regarding the virus could literally be seen in our country, with facemasks and alcohol/sanitizers being bought out and having the police to intervene about the hoarding some of the buyers do.

I think if the authorities recommend staying at home, people should actually take it seriously unless the authorities also suggest how to stay safe in physical casinos... and they should ensure that casino owners use the correct and adequate safety materials in their casinos.

This is indeed more preferable than playing on actual casino. Interaction with regards to physical contact is what we are trying to avoid here and online gambling would be the solution to this conflict. The health related issue is now causing havoc to various countries which limits the hobbies and other activities of an individual including gambling. I have read an article about a vaccine being discovered that would treat and aid this issue. But I forgot that particular article and also, I haven't heard of such thing from the news so maybe, that is still a hoax or just a rumor. Thank you for reminding everybody here though. Playing casino or gambling games would be stopped by not playing on physical casino. There were some sort of online stuff out there that we could use for the mean time although kind of boring but it is the only way or the recommended way for us to fill the urge of gambling. If you get boring with it, then get rest, explore other stuff in your home, and tell you, staying at home for a moment is as well a good practice to lessen the gambling addiction, this virus did bring a good thing somehow. Anyway, COVID-19 is a serious thing, thus we must comply with the necessary action to lessen the scale of spreading it.

Going outside or any public places should avoid that we should be really staying inside our houses or our homes while they are still people that are affected by these corona virus. I agree, also here are some good news(I'm not sure everyone has heard or read of this but here it is). we know that Macau is also known for its casinos and a week ago they announced that the last patient of COVID-19 in their area has recovered and has been discharged from the hospital. This is one of those cases in which it is better to take all the precautions necessary even if you are living in a country that has not experimented local transmission yet, we need to do what it is best not only for ourselves but also for others so it is important to try to diminish the opportunities we could have of being infected by this virus, as such it is important to try to switch most of our activities online and that includes gambling as well.

I am pretty sure even hotels are getting cancellations right now let alone casinos. I'm not in the mood right now to play gambling games even online in times like this. My urge to do gambling literally fades as I'm more concerned about what will happen tomorrow. There's no enjoyment at all to play at the time like this. The virus not just crashes physical health but the mentality as well even for those healthy ones.

Fair enough, I agree with you on that one. So as a young and healthy person, you should be responsible. I don't think so mate, yes SARS is more fatal than COVID-19 but COVID-19 has more chance to spread so immediately so for me it is more dangerous because there are so many people that can be affected by it. We can be infected through droplets so if the infected person coughs or sneeze then we absorb it, or we attached it on our eyes, nose and mouth then we might be infected too.

I just decided to stop going on a physical casino because I was afraid that I can get the virus. Call me paranoid, but I just wanted to make sure though, you really don't know if you are going to get the virus just by looking at people's faces. Locking down the city seem to have help China stopping the virus from spreading to the entire nation. South Korea did the same thing and I hope the rest will also follow. The older people have more risk with this virus compare to younger people because their immune system is weaker. I assume that most of the gamblers are around 50 years above so they are the ones at risk at this moment since their mortality rate is higher than 1%.

Maybe this is the reason why until now, there are no cases in their countries. The social distancing there is being observed in their countries and with the few visitors, the chances of getting the virus in their country is almost zero but they said that there is no reason for them to be complacent since this is a global pandemic, they are still possibilities that the virus will come to this countries.
