Title: Is there a new blockchain that will compete with Ethereum?
Post by: cryptoknows on August 13, 2021, 04:34:09 PM
We all know about huge transaction fees, not the most convenient scaling and the difficulties of entering the ecosystem. Are there projects that will provide people with the best conditions for the implementation of their ideas in the cryptoworld?

Same old issue? Ethereum successfully activated the London hard fork recently and part of the upgrade will lessen gas fees sooner or later. There are many available chains right now that has smart contract capability with "cheaper" transaction fees in dollar value. I'm pretty sure you've heard of BSC. Solana is another that's also popular.

Did you know!

Right now other chain-like "BSC, Polygon" is compatible with ETH address and now a lot exchanges already supported a single address with a different chain. I guess that's already one of the solutions we're getting for the fee issue.

You only need to change the network for the transaction without creating another address with different chain.

for now there is nothing really visible but I think BSC has now made a breakthrough and maybe in the next few years they will make a chance to compete.
because we know now bsc has also penetrated and its fans are everywhere because they have a system that is almost the same as eth with a ratio that is cheaper and more reliable, especially for small traders, besides that the bnb coin burning system is also still the flagship. BSC in order to get a good stigma among its fans.

Many blockchains have smart contracts such as ethereum and with very small gas fees such as BSC, Tron and Fusion. But they are all less popular than ETH. For future ETH updates, hopefully the high gas costs can be overcome.

Dude, try Near.
You can use it 100%.
There is its own EVM, a Blockchain that is much faster and more economical than Ethereum and other cool things.
Study it!

If it is true that Binance will create smart contracts, then Binance is a competitor to Ethereum.
Regarding the large transaction fees on Ethereum the most talked about so far. I see it as structured.
When Ethereum corrected the London hard fork were the transaction fees still high? I'm sure there are still some who haven't tested the transaction fees on ETH yet.

You only need to take advantage of the GAS that is going down, although the market is not too dense depending on how it increases. Everything about the Eth network will gradually be resolved because Rome was not built overnight to be able to stand strong. The initial stages have been carried out with the London Hard Fork taking place, and of course, other developments will not stop there,

Ethereum will continue to provide higher tidal waves, and they will need to match the level of user demand for transactions with the fees that many people often complain about.
As an alternative BSC has given you the option to switch and it turns out that not only BSC, Polygon, Solana also offers the same thing. We just need to choose in which direction the transaction is used. They have made cross-delivery, so it is very good in the future to be able to connect with each other even though they are on different networks.

I don't know what is "high" to you but you don't have to ask these questions. All you need to do is visit gas tracking sites like https://etherscan.io/gastracker and you'll find what you're looking for.

I think fusion is a very good blockchain that has a very good technology built into it, though people are yet to discover the kind of powerful tech that runs on fusion blockchain, which I also think suppasses Ethereum and Binance smart chain put together, this project have been around for about 4 years or there about, and recently, they launched a new defi project which is know as Chainge finance, this project is amazing and its all powered by fusion, it's only a matter of time before people discover this amazing project and it skyrockets, Chainge finance is already doing very well considering the fact its just about 3 or 4 months old.

If only fees then you can used fantom or matic instead. These two are the known blockchain with lowest fee at the moment. Even lower than bsc network fee that their 1 coin can be used for multiple transactions. But in terms of massive adoption we cant deny that ethereum is still the best one to use and been used by many since then. So its gonna be hard to find an alternative for that. Its not really that bad in my opinion.

I think you have missed the London Hardfork for ETH 2.0 which also fix the fee issue more or less however, Polkadot/BSC network can be the alternative to Ethereum Chain if you are looking for testing an alternative one to compare Ethereum with others. People have specilated Polkadot as next Ethereum and/or Ethereum killer but at the end of the day, Polkadot is getting late with so many updates.

Fee is always a big issue in Eth. Bsc network is better than Eth erherium in fee only. But Bsc cannot handle thosands transaction per seconds.
Solana , people says Etherium killer can compete with Eth. Similarly Xrp can always next blockchain better than Etherium.

There are already competitors bro why do you think we have bsc with a reduced fees which is the number one competitor to Ethereum network, and there are several other similar blockchain but the real question is are the devs ready to diversify! Instead of using eth blockchain all the time are they ready to try out other network! By doing so the power will a bit from eth to any other good blockchain be it bsc, polygon etc.

I think MATIC and BSC are another alternative, because the gas fees from MATIC and BSC are very cheap compared to Ethereum, so if you want to find a Blockchain whose gas fees are not as expensive as Ethereum, then MATIC and BSC are the right choices, but I personally still prefer Blockchain from Ethereum, because I am comfortable using Blockchain from Ethereum, even though gas fees from Ethereum are currently increasing, but I am sure when ETH 2.0 is launched, then of course gas fees from Ethereum will be low.

The competitor recently of Ethereum upon fees is the BSC/BNB. There are other projects that have been working with that chain because they find the fee to be cheaper than usual. But if you just want to have the cheap fees upon transfers, there really are other altcoins that can offer you that. Some choices are Dogecoin, Litecoin, TRX, XRP, Nano and there are others more. Those are the coins that I've been seeing when people are talking about cheap fees.

If we talk about commissions, then there are better projects, for example Tron. But there is nothing to do there :)
In Ethereum, it is better to use Level 2 Solutions.
It is also worth keeping an eye on the Cosmos and Polkadot projects. But they, too, will build their bridges with Ethereum.
You will not find Ethereum counterparts in decentralization.

High gas fees are definitely inconvenient, the London fork was going to reduce the gas fees but honestly speaking have been waiting and I haven't seen any significant decrease in transaction fees just Ethereum burns here and there, I think new blockchains that can take Ethereum's place in the feature are bsc, solana and near Protocol, these three are doing really well, they are becoming the breeding ground for most projects these days, although amongst them near Protocol has the cheapest gas fees ever >$0.01.

So much for the "London Fork"   ??? :

I think BSC is competing with Ethereum, right now. Although the popularity of Ethereum is still better, BSC looks to grow very quickly. BSC is developed by the number 1 crypto exchange in the world, no one doubts that it can be a serious competitor for Ethereum. Just wait for the time that BSC can have the same level as Ethereum, or even overtakes it.

What people often do to overcome high fees is to use low-fee and fast altcoins. and BSC can cover transactions because of the direct swap system and giving low fees with stable value such "wrapped coin" I personally think that the most appropriate to compete with ETH at this time is BSC. in terms of being useful and helping the fees problem.

The most scalable and decentralized crypto is NEAR protocol. NEAR protocol scales Ethereum with sharding using Aurora, so they are not competitors.

None will compete with it, a lot have been trying for years but can't seems to stand up to it, even some ended up taking a thing or two from Ethereum blockchain, even most developers still believes that Ethereum blockchain is more scalable now imagine what will happen when the other ETH upgrade comes online.
Nevertheless, with regards to other projects or blockchains which will help users or developers launch their ideas, there are many already such as BSC network, Polygon, Solana and so on. Some projects are known to migrate from one blockchain to another with the excuse that they want a better services, thus it can be seen that the crypto space has advanced a lot where projects can be launched easily or migrated easily thus no limitations in launching your idea.

Ethereum has a very clear agenda and their goal is to stay as decentralized as possible while other chains sacrifice decentralization for speed and low cost. If Ethereum gets to solve that, and they have the team that has the best chances to solve the dilemma or trilemma, they will stay ahead of the game for a very long time.

The current conditions actually open up opportunities for the public to provide ideas to those in need, considering that there are many things that must be done for good changes in the future, especially in today's crypto world.

Now there are lots of projects that require bright ideas for us to give, to perfect the projects they are currently working on, many even promise a special prize in the form of money for everyone who gives the best idea, if you are interested please see the signature bouty project, there are many people need the best ideas to use.

The gas fee should really decrease due to an increase in the transaction speed. But if the price for Ethereum increases by 10 times by that time, the network's commission will still remain high. Agree that 0.02 ETH a year ago is not at all the same as a commission fee 0.02 ETH this year.

There already lot of Ethereum alternative out there mate, TRON, BSC or some Layer-2 Network like Polygon, Kardia, Huobi Chain and many more, Beside that upcoming Cardano Smart Contract Implementation will also give us another alternative, Today it's not really hard to find that with more cheaper fee and faster transaction time, You just need to do some simple research.

Actually such blockchains as Polkadot, Binance Smart Chain, Tron step on Ethereum’s heels. New blockchains are faster and cheaper than Ethereum, so they are real contests for it. Nevertheless, until people don’t change their opinion about Ethereum as the best blockchain for defi, and whales don’t switch to anything another, no blockchain will replace Ethereum.

BSC and TRON have already been there and existed for quite a long time, I think they are enough but you might wonder why many were still using the ETH platform despite the huge transaction fees? I was in doubt as well but maybe this was because most of the projects are still in the ERC-20 platform.

However, BSC is growing and helping the investors and traders saving some costs. In fact, there is a record that could show BSC is surpassing the number of transactions versus ETH. This could give some insights that someday ETH has no longer be the top but it is possible BSC will take its lead. Maybe the current ETH upgrade could help, but we still can't assure about it.

BSC is really a blockchain with low cost AMM. BSC is not truly decentralized as transaction fees do not flow to nodes or developers. I think the future of blockchain will be decentralization by nodes and distributed transaction costs for developers and programmers alike. It will probably be Cardano, Solana or Lamden. Although Lamden is quite a strange blockchain, I bet anyone who has used Dapps on Lamden will love this project.

Of course, there are many projects that compete with Etherum, until now they have not been able to get close to Etherum, many investors use Etherum as a short term or long term investment, this will make it difficult for other altcoins to balance it, it can be seen now that BSC has developed which is so large that many predict BSC will replace Etherum.

By the way, it seems that the platform you are talking about is Binance Smart Chain Platform. With the transaction fees of the Ethereum platform now soaring, people are now turning to the Binance Smart Chain platform. At present, the transaction gas fee on the Binance smart chain platform is very low. With transactions being so low, people are now moving from the Ethereum platform to the Binance smart platform. However, I think very soon the Ethereum platform will be reduced to transaction gas fee.

What I mean is cross-delivery , where we can do cross-network for quite a bit of money. Ethereum doesn't need to have another team to add, because so far Ethereum's achievements have been very good. Maybe some innovations will continue to be updated, we will be very confident that solutions can be realized in the future. Ethereum did not leave the problem to BSC, because the two are still under the same umbrella. Maybe as an alternative while still maintaining each network.

If it's for creating projects, Ethereum it is. You cannot deny the fact of how every developer had their chance thanks to smart contracts.
For transaction purposes only, you could try BNB. Cheaper and faster.
But, there's always the but's, you might want to keep those Ethereum in your wallets.
The big train is coming and you don't want to be left out, your ticket is your Ethereum and it's going to be a long ride once they clean everything up.

There are a lot of other similar projects like ethereum which are providing same or better kind of smart contract platforms for hosting dapps but for unknown reasons people are still sticking with only ethereum which result in network congestion and network congestion must be the reason for high fees for every transactions.

Recently some people are talking about hedra which is having higher block size and other efficiencies hence we can expect it to be another destination for devs to host their  smart contracts. These days there are a lot of coins are providing platforms for hosting spot contracts but ethereum alone is still leading in this industry because it was the first one reaching big value and it got lots of followers and with this strong community, it is still enjoying lots of projects to be deploying every single day.

If you look at the new projects majority are migrating to BSC chain and then there are projects that are migrating to other chains like Hoo Smart chain, Reef Chain etc away from Ethereum because the fees are still huge and we can see many complaints from users for the projects i invested as well especially in some of the NFT projects and i know that they are implementing their upgrades but by that time it will cause the damage and this is the best opportunity for other chains to be prominent and most probably most of the projects will expand to all the chains to avoid fees congestion.

Of course there are, as I know blockchains like Pollygon, BinanceSmartChain and Solana have the advantage of relatively cheap transaction fees and they are currently tough competitors with ethereum. Basically the cryptocurrency industry is very decentralized and it is not surprising that every day new altcoins are popping up and project developers are also competing to create unique blockchain systems in order to compete in the cryptocurrency market.

If there is a coin that can compete with Ethereum it has to come from these already established coins such as Binance coin or tron and not a totally new coin or blockchain.

And if there is a coin giving it real competition will be the Binance coin because it has the backing of one of the biggest exchanges in the world and it has a huge user base which will make it easy known and grow over time.

Ethereum is currently the best altcoin out of all the altcoins but it is a long way off Bitcoin and will never be competing with Bitcoin directly and will only benefit from Bitcoin gaining more adoption.
But is there a coin to compete with Ethereum in its niche??

I have to say that there is a good chance Dot and Matic could, we all know that BNB is already there with BSC but Dot and Matic could get there, even maybe avax? I know that one is a long shot but it is possible. Basically what the new good projects realized is that, it is not about having a good to buy and sell, but to have it used as well. Look at how much ethereum is bought, and look at how much it is used, I am pretty sure there is a good amount of it used as gas fee or other stuff, compared to be bought or sold.

Many new projects are doing this because they realized that this is basically a better way to make money and I am sure that many new other projects will follow it. You either go big with that kind of blockchain dominance, or you do a farming defi, or you do nft gaming, basically these three are cornering the market right now.

We all know about huge transaction fees, not the most convenient scaling and the difficulties of entering the ecosystem. Are there projects that will provide people with the best conditions for the implementation of their ideas in the cryptoworld?
In my mind for now only BSC, but i think some project use MATIC network too to their project. Maybe that networks can be alternate if ETH fees can be problem, but i heard ETH last hardfork can made it only need less money to be fees, maybe because there are a lot of coins that they think will replace them and developer leaving them.

Here's what you call the new platform: Binance Smart Chain (BSC)You may be talking about the platform.Currently, the platform that is going to be very popular after the Ethereum platform is the Binance Smart Chain platform. Due to the fact that the transaction fee of this Binance Smart Chain platform is less than that of Etherium platform, people are now moving to Binance Smart Chain platform.

It was just BSC platform had made closer to ETH and giving the solution for the high fees that we face in Ethereum. Now that BSC is leading to competing stronger against ETH and even surpasses its number of transactions daily, I could believe that ETH might fall down if they don't get attention and find a way to solve the fees issue. Because these days, most of the new projects are using the BSC platform already, this could be a sort of warning that Mr. Vitalik needs to address.

But for those who want to stick in a decentralized platform, they will still choose ETH network. However, many are now moving towards BSC because of its relatively cheaper fees. I just hope that eth will resolve their gas fees because up until now it is still quite expensive for small traders. BSC is gaining popularity because it is also backed by top 1 exchange but later on, I think this network will also be proliferated with crappy tokens.

Yes I feel there is a good block chain that can compete with the ethereum blockchain and that is the binance smart chain although it was built on the ethereum blockchain but it boasts of a much faster transaction speed very low transaction costs and has proven to be just as secure as a taken blockchain providing a platform where new project developers can create their cryptocurrency project without worrying about the users having to pay a transaction fees.

There are many such projects or blockchain. I will first say Binance Smart Chain. The transaction fee of BSC blockchain is very low but transaction speed is high. The problem you mentioned here will be easily overcome in BSC network. Also Binance is no 1 crypto, fiat, p2p exchange. So I don't know if anyone has the better option of Binance ecosystem to enter the cryptoworld.

There are chains like the BSC out there which are having lower transaction fees and more advanced features. ERC-20 is having the advantage solely because it was the first smart contract platform. In terms of technology, it trails behind the competitors such as BSC. Also, one of the concerns about BSC is that it is under some sort of influence from the Binance exchange and therefore it may not be 100% decentralized. And in the world of cryptocurrency, decentralization is a very important aspect.

Number of transactions which increases on the Ethereum network and the ever-increasing price of ETH makes gas fees transactions went up, I still remember we only had to pay a few cents for send erc-20 token in 2018, but now the transaction need high gas fees and trading fees on Uniswap are also increasing.

For information on the latest blockchain list, it seems you should visit this link https://www.trustradius.com/smart-contracts

Many project used of Ethereum for their transaction before and now.But the fact is, after the rise in transaction fee. Some new projects had locked up bsc as their platform. Maybe seems, they skipped of Ethereum. But actually, they had not done that one. Instead they chose the coin, which reduce their free for transaction of their coin.
In order to compare the Ethereum network with others, we need to wait for the results of the Ethereum 2.0 update. Any coin that has smart contracts can compete with ethereum. However, so far not a single coin has reached the heights and popularity that the ethereum coin has. There will always be competition, and that's good. This forces the cryptocurrency to constantly improve. Who knows, maybe someday another coin will overtake ethereum, but this will not be soon.

Today there are a lot of sidechains (Polygon and BSC) and alternative chains (Tron chain) that are much more scalable with low transaction fees and high speed. So if you don’t want to pay 50$ just for a transaction you can try one of them. Moreover there is also a developed ecosystem with a lot of defi projects on BSC and Polygon, so it is the best choice for newbies and investors with small capitals.

In my opinion binance is a blockchain that can compete with etherem, although currently the price of binance is still too far from ETH
It has become a rival but at the same time al alternative for ethereum chain. The traffic on BSC was even bigger than ethereum as so many NFT were also building in BSC.
Binance has various product while ethereum was only focusing on its protocol with the possibility of deflationary to happen in the future.
The blocksize of ethereum was so small and binance was learning fromt here. that's why scalability problem that faced by ethereum already solved by binance thorugh increasing the blocksize

Now Ethereum has a lot of competitors. Thanks to the gaming NFTs, players paid attention to cryptocurrencies. Now there are many gaming communities such as https://twitter.com/LiquidationsOf?s=09 and their number is only growing.

No project can survive without a large community now, so it is very important to support a large community and attract new users to it even while the market is falling.

Now it is very important that the community continues to grow. Now there are NFTs that are actively used in games, so gaming communities are now actively using cryptocurrencies.

The high gas prices and therefore high transaction fees on the ethereum network is probably the most discussed topic on this forum in the last few months. It is definitely true that Eth really needs to do something in order to bring the transaction fee down to even make their platform useable again for small and regular transaction, but they are working on it.
There are a few contenders to Eth out there already, like polkadot, cardano or radix. Yes also bsc but that does not count as it is only a copy of ETH.

Isn't there currently a BSC as an alternative for us to make transactions or investments with low fees and the transaction speed is also very fast, besides that BSC also has the same coin as the Ethereum platform, maybe it can be a temporary solution until Ethereum provides low fees.

The problem of fees is still not resolved by ethereum and the alternative is that many people are currently focused on BSC and polygon, maybe if these two platforms can handle transactions on a large scale it will be a threat to ethereum

Currently, the problem with society is the transaction costs are so expensive, so that whatever is done becomes a burden in the future, the high costs force people to look for alternatives to avoid it.

Many projects today need the best ideas for them to use, almost everyone gives ideas according to their mindset, not based on proper analysis and study, if you want to see good projects, need to monitor project bounty in the near future, there are many projects that we can see clearly there.

That's the type of problem that gets solved automatically. One thing has a huge tx fee? then people will move to something else, people move to something else? then there are less people here and that drops the tx fee. Simple as that, when people rush to use ETH then gas fee will be high, when people go to BSC because ETH gas fee is high, then there will be less people in ETH world and that will drop the price.

The other day I wanted to check how much would it be to swap my USDT to ETH in ETH network, never did that first thing so I had to pay that AND for swap at the same time, you know the thing you pay before your first ever swap for that token, then it is free, that thing and swap together costs 40 dollars. That is not going to make ETH appeal to anyone, there are people who use it of course but they do not prefer that neither, so it will gradually go down because people like me will keep on leaving until price reaches to a decent level.

With the development of the crypto world, Ethereum currently has several competitors. Although Ethereum may still be more popular, because
Ethereum already exists before the others, but as time goes by, Ethereum can definitely be replaced if it doesn't innovate for the better.
From several Ethereum competitors, maybe only BSC has the potential to replace Ethereum in my opinion, although it probably won't happen
anytime soon. In the end we all as users will decide to choose the best, then if you choose ADA or DOT it might be the best according to your choice.

as far as i know, users and developers will choose the platform they want, high transaction fees make users choose blockchains like Tron and BSC to get lower fees, we only need $1 to send USDT with Bep20 network and $10 for withdrawals on the ethereum network if you withdraw funds from the exchange to the wallet, in this no case, but users will prefer low fees to make transactions.

It will take time for other similar coin to take over ETH because ETH was already popular since a long time ago and the market capitalization is multiple time of BNB but BSC is doing really well at how it can bring many projects to their platform although it's now looks like it's stuck.
The others simply become alternative for ETH and maybe will always stay like that.

There are already blockchains that are also growing BSC, TRON, Polygon, and Solana and on these network transaction cost is quite less as compare to ethereum chain. Ater London hardfork upgrade ethereum is more demanding in the market due to deflationary model adoption. For now, ethereum chain is quite strong as compare to their competitiors but we never know about the technology anything can happen in this market but people would love to use those who will be compatible with different blockchains with less fee and at present BSC is giving a good fight to ethereum.

BSC, Polygon, Tron, or Solana are alternative platforms that can be an option. their platform is even claimed to be better than ethereum and has a cheaper fee. so they are potential competitors of ethereum in the future. actually currently ethereum is not the main choice for developers, they are more interested in BSC. I see that since the fees on the ethereum network have increased, new projects released are using more BSC. This proves that the competition in the Smart contract platform has already started.

it's best for the purpose of competing with ethereum, don't just look at the transaction fees that ethereum requires, but look at the many other advantages that ethereum has. I don't think there is any altcoin that can compete with ethereum at the moment. developments that continue to be made by its developers make ethereum more and more in demand by the public,
- Although developers that are associated with Ethereum can transform from features to general public needs but you also can't forget that they are users too, maybe their origin is from ethereum but the projects are enabling creativity on a different platform, they are not stored forever in ethereum, they can come to ADA, BSC, even something separate. Outdated thinking and thinking that ethereum is having no competition only leads to the demise of the platform, I believe they also know that and are constantly trying to reduce transaction fees

Their upcoming Layer 3 Lightning DEX will going to make any transactions and settlements instant, fee-less, scalable, cross-chain, private, API supported and no wrapping. They are building a real BTC/ETH (and ERC20) bridge.

But well i found one outstanding blockchain called Near protocol, instead joining the list of blockchains to claim ETH killer, it rather stands as a complement to ETH, the Near Ecosystem has a project(Aurora) launched on it's blockchain which provides developers and users the experience of Ethereum on top of NEAR Protocol

At present, when we compare any blockchain platform after Ethereum, we understand it as a non-smart chain platform. Since you said right after the Ethereum platform, I know you're definitely smart The chain speaks of the platform. Nowadays this Binance Smart Chain platform has gained a lot of popularity. People are now smart enough to get a substantial increase in transaction fees on the Ethereum platform. Chose the chain platform. Transactions on the finance smart chain platform take very little. And the transaction time takes much less. The way the Binance smart chain platform is gaining popularity is a little out of place Will go much further in the day.

Yes we know that Ethereum gas fee is a big hindrance to many projects but I don't think scalability is really a big issue in Ethereum blockchain, because it seems Ethereum is the most scalable among the whole lots that want to compete with it, also most projects still see Ethereum as being a better scalable blockchain thus still leveraging its blockchain network.
Currently, there are already many other blockchain networks such as BSC, Fantom, Polygon, Heco, Okexchain, Solana and so on, but it seems only Solana, Polygon and BSC are the most active, BSC being around before Polygon hasn't being able to compete with Ethereum, that is to show that Ethereum is far better even with its high gas fees. Even Solana is still trying it's best to perfect its blockchain, but yet can't possibly beat Ethereum.
Lastly, with Ethereum upgrade which is coming soon, it is anticipated it will solve the issue of high gas fees, and then the real growth will set in.

Of course, now there are blockchain systems that are competitors of Ethereum, but you need to understand that the Ethereum blockchain is a tough nut to crack and will not let it just be moved from the leaders. Since the fees on the Ethereum network became very high, I also started looking for a replacement and found it on the BinanceSmartChain network, as well as the Tron system. However, as far as I understand, the Polygon network is still gaining popularity, which may well be a competitor for Ethereum and other blockchain systems.

On paper, there are several blockchains that are more advanced when compared to the Ethereum blockchain. ETH is a second generation cryptocurrency and third generation cryptos such as Cardano have been in existence for many years now. And several fourth generation projects are in active development. And unlike the case with Bitcoin, I don't see any real reason to stick with Ethereum. The ERC-20 chain doesn't offer the same level of protection as the Bitcoin blockchain, and we hear about hacks and robberies every now and then. It is still being used, because the other competing chains are yet to demonstrate fully that they are secure and safe.

I do believe that other blockchains will start to grow their NFT world a lot faster in the future, whenever ETH has huge gas fee then some other blockchain provides people with whatever ETH is providing but for cheaper so that they can get those people. Last time it was BSC that did the whole DeFi world thing, ETH was booming with bunch of DeFi everywhere and it looked fine but the gas fee increased a lot, right in that moment Binance realized they could get those people and make a lot of money, they even paid pancakeswap 1 million dollars to keep improving their system and now we have BSC dominating the DeFi world very easily.

Now ETH is doing that same thing with NFT gaming world and most of them are there but it takes soooo much money to enter, and when the entry is that high, people still do it if they believe they could make money but if some other blockchain makes it cheaper than I guarantee you that people will leave for that chain.

There are quite a number of projects that were created to go head to head with ethereum, but they are all not up to the task. the only project that have come really close to challenging Ethereum is Binance smart chain. BSC offered users the benefit of sending transactions with very small transaction fees.
They cal always compete with ETH and only the good project will go on top and that’s ETH for almost years now and even BSC can’t destroy ETH though we also see the growth of BSC network I think they are still behind ETH and they still need more time to at least have a chance to replace ETH.

There might always be an ambitious team trying to compete with Ethereum  and the fact that crypto technology is usually open source takes away the edge other tech companies have. A company like Microsoft was so hard to copy because the code was closed source. With a car company it becomes easier because you could buy the car and dissemble it. When you take Tesla as an example it already becomes harder as these cars are run a lot based on different softwares that work inter connectedly. In Ethereum you look at the code and you can think about it and play around with it. What you can't copy from Ethereum is the ecosystem around it though. You need to start from scratch when it comes to convincing people that you have the better product and even that is no guarantee because you may not reach critical mass, and without that your network is dysfunctional.

Binance Smart Chain, Cardano and Solana have the capability to compete with Ethereum . However, they all have unique capabilities. Ethereum being the first, have all the benefits of being popular with strong growth potentials.  But with recent experience in gas fees, BSC contracts are on the increase thereby competing with Ethereum.

Cardano is another very interesting platform that started its blockchain from scratch. Cardano network costs are usually cheaper than those on the Ethereum blockchain. Cardano has the potential to eventually overtake Ethereum. Presently, Cardano is testing its smart contract capabilities right now and hopes to launch them fully soon.

Cardano  is environmentally friendly cryptocurrency that  uses a fraction of the energy of Ethereum and Bitcoin and will be able to process about 1 million transactions per second. While Etheruem, once it launches, Ethereum 2.0 will be able to process an estimated 100,000 transactions per second and will use 99.95% less energy than it currently does.

There is a few blockchain like Binance Smart Chain, Cardano, and Solana have a chance to compete Ethereum. But it will takes time, since Ethereum popularity is beyond those 3 blockchain. There's also AAVE and Monero, even though it an old blockchain.

Not many prefer Binance Smart Chain, because they believe that it is centralized (although I don't completely agree with that assumption). Cardano is a very formidable competitor to Ethereum and miles ahead as far as technology is concerned. And recently ADA prices have gone up by a lot, as the acceptability levels are rising steeply. Now coming to Monero, I have a feeling that it is a failed project. It attracted too much notoriety to be successful. And now even the promoters seems to have given up.

Well yes, the other network will complete the Ethereum network, and that will give us advantages with various speed of transaction and cheaper gas price experience.

For now, the BSC still best for me, and Tron network be my second choice for me to do transaction since most marketplace have their network in it.

Of course there will be new platforms capable of competing with ETH in the future and right now, it will be the trio of ADA, BNB and SOL. In it, Sol is demonstrating the ability to expand the platform on their ecosystem with a lot of projects. Sol is an altcoin that has strong competition with ETH. it got x3 within 30 days.
Competition is the main factor driving the growth of this space.

Aside from BSC and ADA, other networks like DOT and AVAX are trying to compete with ETH. However, even if their technology is more advanced than ETH, their bottleneck is how to attract developers and users to use their platform. We will see how far these networks will achieve in terms of getting new projects on board. So far, we have seen a lot of projects that are using BSC network, maybe owed to their cheaper fees and is backed by the top exchange binance.

That's clear because so far BSC and TRC20 can still provide very low fees for every transaction we make and can also really help all the work we do, because the prices of the main coins BSC and TRC20 are still not as expensive as ETH.

There numerous projects that are far better than ethereum in term of scalability, the tech and smart contract but you know the game of whales, they wouldn't allow others to take over, they have hold for really long time, they wouldn't want anything that will jeopardise their bags.
If Ethereum is goo, will they choose to move from proof of work to proof of stake, that's because they lack the ability to scale up that's why they are implementing chain split.

It's true, now that there are many new multi-chain here, they are competing with Ethereum. However, because Ethereum is the first Blockchain and already has many popular tokens built from Ethereum, it looks like Ethereum will still be number one even though on the Ethereum Blockchain it has the most expensive fees.

There are numerous accessible chains right now that has savvy contract capacity with less expensive exchange charges in dollar esteem. Ethereum will keep on giving higher tsunamis, and they should coordinate with the degree of client interest for exchanges with the charges that many individuals frequently grumble about.
The transaction charges we see in ETH is not controlled by the developers, it is out of their hand and once you have network congestion the transaction charges keeps on increasing and there is nothing they can do about that. The only solution the ETH developers found is to make the network more centralized than they are now so that they will run for validation to only a few nodes so that the confirmation time will be less and so is the reason they are moving them to POS.

BSC is already competing with ETH and there are many other chains who had their life once the transaction fees started to create a headache for the end user. Polkadot, Cardano, Terra, and Solana, Hoo Smart Chain and Huobi Eco Chain are a few that are competing with ETH.

but gradually the BSC etc. began to be known by the public with its cost-friendliness here ETH is required to balance other competitors such as BSC

Stakenet – Stakenet is a trustless cross-chain platform that was built with its native cryptocurrency – XSN. It is an autonomous and future-proof platform that combines the Lightning Network and Masternode into a global blockchain for decentralized applications. Stakenet DEX is based on the Lightning Network, a second-layer solution that enables peer-to-peer off-chain transactions within a blockchain or between and among different blockchains. A Masternode on the other hand is a dedicated full node of a blockchain that resides around the world.  The Stakenet project has furnished its Masternodes to be Lightning network ready. This design allows Stakenet users to experience the instant and virtually feeless transactions of cryptocurrency. To date, the Stakenet wallet, Stakenet's non-custodial multi-currency light wallet that features Stakenet DEX is currently in beta testing. This revolutionary wallet will allow Stakenet clients to conduct transactions over the Lightning Network without the need to download the full record of blockchains.

Cardano seems to be the best positioned right now to compete with Ethereum. They made big improvements on Bitcoin/Ethereum and will be 'finished' in March 2021 while Ethereum has high gas fees and is transitioning to PoS which will still take a couple of years and is a very complex task.

Although, these alt settlement layers aren't really competing with ETH anymore, they are competing with layer 2 (Loopring, Matic, etc).

Different projects require different platforms which OP may actually need something else other than ETH for less transaction fee. There are other platforms like TRX or EOS which has cheaper transaction fee, EOS is even free. But why are projects didn't prefer EOS and TRX is I guess they also have limitations as to what they can do to projects.

But with ETH, the network is already big and the project can easily create a big community than using other networks. Marketing purpose still is one reason for picking ETH as a candidate blockchain.

Binance Smart Chain or BSC for short has become one of Ethereum's strongest competitors in 2021.

Binance Smart Chain can achieve a block processing time of 3 seconds using something called Proof of Staked Authority (PoSA), where participants stake BNB to become validators. If they propose a valid block, they will then receive a fee from the transactions contained in it. Importantly, there is no subsidy for newly minted BNB as BNB is not inflationary and its supply decreases over time as Binance regularly "coins burn".

The idea of a double chain architecture has the big goal of allowing users to seamlessly transfer assets from one blockchain to another. This way, fast trading can be enjoyed on Binance Chain, while powerful dApps can be built on BSC. The two products complement each other.

Binance Chain's BEP-2 and BEP-8 tokens can be exchanged for BEP-20 tokens, a new standard introduced for Binance Smart Chain. Without going into too much detail, the BEP-20 uses the same functionality as its Ethereum ERC-20 counterpart. In addition, the Binance Chain Wallet allows simple token transfers from one chain to another.

At the moment, Ethereum blockchain is the most popular and most successful, but of course we all know that transactions through Ethereum blockchain are becoming more and more expensive and this is a very big problem and therefore BSC has been gaining immense popularity lately and I also see every day how many cryptocurrencies are moving from Ethereum blockchain to BSC, so I think the time will come when BSC will catch up with Ethereum blockchain or even surpass, but in the meantime, we need to try to make as few transactions as possible through Ethereum blockchain due to high transaction fees.

IMO, there are no need for any "new" blockchain. Existing blockchains such as Cardano are enough to replace Ethereum completely, if the developers could take care of the bugs and security issues. We already have too many cryptocurrencies and blockchains for the same purpose, and I don't think that there is a room for anymore. That said, I am very interested in some of the fourth generation blockchain projects that are in development currently. Who knows? Maybe in the next 4-5 years some of them maybe able to replace third generation projects such as Cardano.

However just because you like ADA doesn't make the other ones wrong or worse, it just makes them... different basically.

I still support ethereum itself, BSC, solana, matic, dot all of them are great, in the crypto world it is not good to promote one and bash the others, you will not win anything that way and you will crash and burn together and skyrocket together. Which is why I prefer the situations where all of them go up together, hence all those coins I listed are great, I would love to see them increase like crazy if possible. Obviously some of them may fail in the long run but I hope that does not happen anytime soon.

For SOLANA, it's too early to tell that it will be the biggest rival of Etherum, though SOL has better tech, but ETH has been in the space for many years and it has already gained a lot of holders, eventually, ETH will improve as the team is continuously developing the project and one day we will see that transaction fee of ETH will be affordable to anyone.

The huge fees push those developers and traders to migrate to another chain such as BSC,
if ERC won't changed up the chance that BSC will catch all those money from this race.

It's always about how to minimized your expenses and continue to enjoy the services,
most likely in terms of competitions it's Binance that getting closer to ETH.

Very early for other projects as end users are jus starting to understand the potentials

BSC is definitely one of the biggest competition that ETH has, even though for some weird reason ADA managed to beat BNB in the rankings, it is easily can be said that BNB is going very strong. That power comes from the DeFi world for now, but the moment there is a huge game in the BSC world you will soon realize that people will be crazy to not go into it, all we need is a good game that gets a lot of funding and a big development team, if we could achieve that in BSC then the price of BNB will go super high once again as well.

It will take time for that to happen for sure, we didn't had the next DeFi on BSC as soon as there was one in ETH neither, it took some time but eventually we got there, I assume by the start of next year we will have a game even more popular than axie infinity (or axie moving to BSC who knows?) in the BSC world making it a lot bigger than ETH world.

Solana network is also my favorite blockchain, just look at the value of Solana in the market now, very high and already get #7 rank on CMC.
I hope ethereum network can reduce its gas fee to prevent ETH users leave and using other blockchain.

We all know about huge transaction fees, not the most convenient scaling and the difficulties of entering the ecosystem. Are there projects that will provide people with the best conditions for the implementation of their ideas in the cryptoworld?

Many development teams need bright ideas to run their projects, they even give special prizes to people who can give them ideas, but many people don't mind this, people prefer to follow the projects they put out rather than give them ideas, if you serious about project development ideas, start with some new projects and offer them good ideas to keep the project going well going forward.
Large transaction fees are not a problem for today's society, if the services they offer can be used by many people and benefit every user.

I feel that there will be public chains that will surpass Ethereum in the future. It is only a matter of time. Let me explain the reason, but I can’t tell. There is only one reason. The truthfulness of the news we are exposed to is a big problem, because it can induce market sentiment and violent market volatility. Polkadot has a strong momentum to surpass Ethereum.

Maybe there will be an altcoin that will be the best that everyone wants with low transaction fees. Given the increasingly fierce competition with the number of altcoins that use smart contracts, of course every developer has the option to use them. but that certainly will not reduce the credibility of ETH for users as the king of altcoins.

Of However, as I previously stated, blockchains like as Pollygon, BinanceSmartChain, and Solana benefit from low transaction costs and are now strong rivals to ethereum. In general, the cryptocurrency business is extremely decentralized, therefore it's not unexpected that new cryptocurrencies appear every day, and project developers fight to construct unique blockchain systems in order to compete in the market.

Right now we have the biggest competitor is BSC for Ethereum and in recent time Solana is also increasing its technology with some more coming in this competition because now adoption is increasing, and we need some more in this field for better results.

Peoples really love to go with some new and unique ways as they want to increase in speed and less in cost which is very good as we all know competition is increased in smart contract platform.
Lightening DEX is also doing great as very quick transaction with very fewer fees, hopefully this will also catch the eye of this community.

There have been lots of altcoins that are trying to compete with Ethereum but we all know that it's more trusted despite its high gas fee. Some traders still prefer Ethereum because it has been giving convenience for years. However, some trusted blockchain coins are also existing just like BNB but I don't see any competition between them since they're both being used by many.

ETH 2.0 has been launched through the London Hard Fork within this year and I think the cost issue is no longer a problem even though it is not as cheap as Binance Smart Contract (BSC), because the cheapest transaction fees now are not on Binance Smart Contract (BSC), but on Matic with Polygon network and one more thing, try to calculate the amount of fees on the Binance Smart Contract (BSC) if the BNB price is the same as the current ETH price, is it cheap or expensive. ;D

there are many blockchains that are making headways with trials of providing solutions to the fees issues like the binance chain, matic, Avax , Solana and so on. they are trying their best but i still feel people are more confident with Ethereum. its too early to judge though thats why we need to give some more time so they can prove theirself.

Those coins are have their own fans but the community of ethereum still bigger than those. Also ethereum is still keep improving everyday. It's platform followed by many other coin's platform but i think people still use ETH because they know it first. Many network used by doing transaction, means more mistake that will happen because we have to change the network and should careful choosing coin network before sending a transaction.
I hope in the future there are a unified network that could gather all the tokens into a network that could provide all coins.

ETH will always be king but projects like SOL and NEAR are in competition with ETH since it’s much cheaper and faster to use their networks instead of ETH. SOL failed when all to many people started using the network but I think it’ll definitely bounce back. The same is true with ADA. NEAR is everything ETH 2.0 promises to be and it’s ready for mass adoption. Price on NEAR will not fluctuate to much even when many people start using the network because it’s built for that. It’s still a young project but it’s grown tremendously this bull run and definitely worth keeping an eye on.

It is doubtful that someone can compete with Ethereum. How many Ethereum killers we have right now already? How many projects aims to be Ethereum killers? Hard to calculate. None of them succeeded. All of them dont compete, they live parallel life. They just complement blockchain and cryptocurrency. They have their own fan base and users. Second reason - Ethereum was just first. It is just like Bitcoin - first and most popular. It is more knows to people, people are most used to it and wont switch to other blockchain.

I don't think we should be conservative in this regard.  The introduction of other revolutionary blockchains such as Sol, ADA, and BNB in the market is very positive to create an overall picture of the development of this industry.  They have all demonstrated good ideals and intentions for use and speculation.  Of course, I still think that they are not yet strong enough to go against Ethereum but the future is a different story, hopefully.  For now, Ethereum still has the upper hand over Defi because it has been at the forefront of this, but if the Defi era continues to explode, ADA, Sol, BNB could completely pose a challenge new consciousness.

Okay, if that is so. But we have to admit that the issue of Ethereum's high gas costs has always been a complaint of many people nowadays. I myself don't blame the high cost of Ethereum gas that people complain about, because for me good stuff is expensive.

In my opinion, ETH's toughest rival is Binance Smart Chain (BSC) because it is a hard fork of the Go Ethereum (Geth) protocol and thus has many similarities to the Ethereum blockchain. However, the BSC developers have made significant changes in several key areas. The biggest change is the BSC consensus mechanism, which allows for cheaper and faster transactions.

the shortage of ETH is a matter of cost. but keep in mind the cost of ETH according to the price of ETH because if the price of ETH decreases the cost of ETH also decreases. but don't worry there are many one chain network which have low cost and it's popular that is BSC.

Disregarding the price of BNB and ETH, its BNB is the closest so far that is almost like ETH with so many projects on it. Polygon could be the next because tokens could also be bridge to this platform. But one project that also has a bigger development is ADA which is also a smartcontract platform that is the 3rd highest market cap. I think the projects on ADA are also about to burst to compete all with their Plutus dApp Store for its ecosystem.

There are too many such blockchains at the moment and all these blockchains are trying to pull funds into their blockchain. There are popular opinions that many of these blockchains will not be needed when Ethereum is ETH 2.0. I think that one should definitely not forget about this opinion.

May be the sidechain project will have nothing to offer as soon as eth2.0 kick off but who knows if Ethereum will carry them along.
The layer one projects will remain solid irrespective of what eth2.0 brings because there are some aspects of sharding that other layer 1 projects are still competing with each other. By the way, there should be competition between this project so that we can have option to choose from any of them.

Personally, I don't believe any blockchain can able to bet Etehreum easily. Now most people facing a problem with the Ethereum smart contracts that are high fees. So why are people trying to use BSC or Polygon network? Both are doing good, and both have huge community support. The fees are very low and most of the people using those. But still, people like to use Ethereum smart contracts to create a new coin. Because it's most popular safe and secure.

Also, Ethereum is a supercomputer. Most of the big project is created by using Ethreum smart contracts. When the fess will be low, People again show their interest in this project that I believe. With the demand for Ethereum, The price also raising now. So investors also have an eye on this coin for the long time investment that makes this project is very unique.

Why do we need more chaos if we can’t handle the current one.  ::)
The betterment is the key for success of anything. In this case we need the betterment of ETH chain and success will follow in terms of its fees, gas required to make the transaction. Since ETH 2.0 is on the way let’s brace ourselves for the goodness of faster transactions. Not sure how much advanced they have made it but I suppose it’s subjective and can only be known after testing it.

Most people talking that it can bet Etehreum! However, Now people only comparing various projects with Etehreum because of the high transaction fees. If it gets solved, I strongly believe there will be no competitor of Etehreum smart contracts. Eth 2.0 is on the way, Hope soon we will get a solution to high transaction fees. There are plenty but Ethereum still holds a spot in peoples mind. One of the reason why Ethereum is still strong is due to its decentralized nature. It's arguably the most decentralized coin among the utility options. And thought the network itself is nearly unusable, other projects that layer over the Ethereum blockchain are actually making it still popular and there are use cases that do involve the real Ethereum chain. BSC and Polygon has came up as the most prominent ones.

The tricky thing is that when you make transactions too cheap, like Polygon/MATIC, then it seems like there's no barrier of entry.  People can slap whatever scammy crap they want on the chain with very little risked on it.  When it comes to Ethereum, the gas price of putting up a smart contract alone might be enough to keep 98% of scammers out of the market.  It also makes it so people who do put up legitimate projects have a bit of skin in the game (even if it's only $50) that will make them put a lot more effort into their project as opposed to if they only have $0.02 on the line.

you have a valid point on this. with cheaper fees in other networks, they may soon be proliferated with crappy if not scammy projects. as the "devs" can easily create their own little project with no intentions of developing their objectives but only after for their possible gain from gullible buyers. so for people who are into these new networks, they should make sure that the project is running legit and with actual value in the market. definitely, scammers will avoid eth because they can't afford to even send their tokens to their buyers because of fees.

On the way all networks have problems and that is a challenge. So far you are still questioning whether the BSC is really decentralized?
Almost all projects currently use the Binance Smart Contract (BSC) and besides the low cost, of course they are company owners or project owners who see other positive things from BSC.

we have both seen their growth namely Binance, most likely and many predict BNB or BINANCE is a strong competitor to Ethereum, but it is not easy to happen because ethereum continues to be developed by its developers.

I don't think comparison of BNB and Eth blockchain is valid since one is centralized and other is decentralized respectively.
Just like there is long list of P2P cash transfer coins but BTC still rules the market. On the same footing, there is long list of blockchains that allow hosting DAPPs (SOL, Cardano etc) but still Eth rules the alt coin market. The prime reason is its huge community of developers that keep on developing it.

As some users migrate to newer blockchains, developers will assess the viability and longevity of additional users on the Ethereum network to migrate to these new blockchains. As competition for users, attention, and capital increases, many developers and protocols may find a worthwhile trade-off to move into a new home. And if Ethereum continues to have difficulty scaling the network or encounters barriers to user experience, users may leave naturally.

Yeah. It takes time for a new project to gain acceptance among the community. Eth's alternative projects are already on the market, BSC is one of the most popular projects right now. If ETH's developers can't compete with other competing projects and develop better than them, then those projects will do something bigger in the future. So if ETH can't develop itself to the best of its ability, we may see in the near future that other blockchains are moving ahead of eth.

In the last few months there have been a lot of fast-growing altcoins such as Solana, Polkadot, and Cardano, but these altcoins have not been able to compete with etherem, even binance, which is trusted by crypto users, also cannot compete, let alone beat, the popularity of etherem, despite several months  ago Binance's growth is very convincing.  Because it was able to break through $1000 in such a short time, but after experiencing a correction, the price of Binance fell very deep and there is no sign of going up to repeat its achievements some time ago.
Almost every altcoins price fell deep when Bitcoin price fell deep. We can't blame Binance or other blockchain. Still, other blockchains couldn't defeat the Ethereum blockchain when we knew that Ethereum miners are more profitable than Bitcoin. Because of the high transaction cost, some users will probably switch to others blockchain, but it means they will complete. Ethereum 2.0 will recover all the problems.

Binance Smart Chain! Ethereum transactions fees have eventually surpassed that of Bitcoin and I find it kind of disappointing. But this is when you are dealing with the ERC20 tokens. The high fee transaction started almost a year now! And I believe that a lot of people have lost their patience and that is why majority are now using BSC. Majority of the projects are now built on BSC instead of Ethereum and this seems like a forever replacement (maybe unless Ethereum blockchain fees will reduce drastically)

There are already many blockchain projects that are trying to compete with ETH. For example, you can see BSC( Binance Smart Chain). This chains fee is lower than ETH. Again if you check Solana and Polygon chain you will see their tx fee are lower than ETH and BSC. All chains are using same wallet address you just only need to select the network during the transaction. But the trust level of people on ETH is higher than any other chain.

ethereum is similar to bitcoin, the position of the two will not be replaced by any new tokens or coins although they offer low transaction fees, speed or great security compared to ethereum or bitcoin

ethereum is similar to bitcoin, the position of the two will not be replaced by any new tokens or coins although they offer low transaction fees, speed or great security compared to ethereum or bitcoin
Application and real use case is the main reason and thats why we are really seeing that it is still remaining on the top 2 spot despite on have lots of good blockchain out there which is more faster and cheaper.

It all varies with the demand in the end of the day because no matter how good or updated it is but the community would be the one to decide on which one they would be mainly supporting.

Competition is normal but it is really just hard to believe on that ETH could be replaced down easily but well nothing is guaranteed though.

Why do you want to know another platform to compete with Ethereum? Actually, you don't need to ask this, just monitor the development of several platforms that potentially become the competitors of Ethereum. For example, you can take a look at Binance smart chain, Tron chain, or Polygon chain. These chains can be the strong competitors of Ethereum in the future. Just monitor them, then you can conclude how far they can be great competitors of Ethereum now.

Polygon is not a competitor to ETH but they are just aiding the ETH network to scale. There are plenty of competitors for them especially BSC and even if ETH regains their old power, i am not sure how  many projects will be using the ETH network as there are plenty of options available right now, but the developers have plenty of options to choose from right now.

So far, there is no

BSC, which is closest to ETH, has insufficient decentralization backed by Bianace.

Recently, the popular SOL has just been disconnected from the Internet.

FTM, Polygon, etc. have not been able to prove that they can still maintain their current performance when facing a large enough number of users.

Although ETH has a high gas fee, it is still an unshakable application public chain.

It depends now with the developers if they still want to continue using ERC even the fees is really huge or
switch over with other available chain to their projects.

Investors are mostly aiming for lesser fees and that's how we see it now with all those BSC users.

Maybe because the High Gas fee of ethereum when congestion happens that's why he is seeking for option when things happen again.

There are new blockchains like Solana and Avalanche that have had incredible growth this year. Their price has gone up significantly higher than Ethereum in terms of percent. Several years ago people laughed at the idea that an ETH competitor like EOS and NEO could one day replace Ethereum but the latest generation of blockchains have proven that they could gain significant market share and so far they are looking like they will continue to have sustained growth and continue to attract users and developers.

I think ethereum will be hard to compete in the next few years. Ethereum being the most popular platform, convenience, speed and low cost are of course a consideration for developers to use ethereum, based on marketcap statistics, ethereum and ethereum-based tokens have reached more than 70% marketcap, bitcoin is only 15% and the rest are other coins.

many blockchains were also born from the development of ethereum. it makes ethereum still the strongest. despite the current problems. it does not rule out the possibility that ethereum can still be an attraction for the adoption of new projects.

After BSC, I think Polkadot is indeed a worthy project to compete with ETH. not to mention there are polygons and Solona that are getting a lot of adoption.
maybe another one that is not as popular as RSK. it's been a long time, but its development is not getting mass adoption like ethereum and BSC.

Yes, many options can be chosen by developers right now, it is the advantage of many competitors of the ETH network. We don't rely on ETH network only today, we can choose some networks or chains to be used. You must be aware that most new projects are using BSC network right now, some of them use a polygon network. I think it is a new step for an era of multi networks in crypto.

Maybe. But with so many competitors failing to take down Ethereum, I wouldn't count on Polkadot challenging ETH anytime soon. It's not about which blockchain has better features or user experience, but rather which blockchain remains decentralized and censorship-resistant.

No other competitor can outmatch Ethereum in terms of decentralization, reliability, and censorship-resistance. You can see why a new blockchain project like Solana faced a network disruption, putting almost everything down to a halt. If it were as decentralized as Ethereum is, it would've resisted such an attack. Low fees and fast transaction speeds are nothing if the blockchain is missing decentralization. As long as there are no competitors that are decentralized, Ethereum's position as the leading smart contract platform in the market will remain untouched. Just my thoughts ;D

We may expect a new blockchain that can't compete with Ethereum but can follow Ethereum's path towards success. There are some new networks launching with very low fees. Like, Terra,  Polygon, and Cardano. We may see good projects on these networks soon.

The ethereum network is getting stronger with time through different updates and upgrades. More and more projects are into development, but everything keep the base as ethereum. In terms of competence we can see more projects on the line-up. Even the ethereum blockchain is underrated during the early days. The progress started slowly. Maybe similar to this we can see potential blockchains, all that required is the time period. Based on the necessity is the development, so the future is the only answer.

I still support ethereum itself, BSC, solana, matic, all good, in the crypto world it is not good to promote one and destroy the other, you won't win anything like that and you will crash and burn together and soar together. That's why I prefer a situation where everything goes up together, then all the coins I listed are great, I'd like to see them increase like crazy if possible.

Yes, there is a lot of new blockchains available. Matic and BSC are the most useable right now because of low transaction fees and very fast transaction speed. But I don't believe they can able to bet Etehreum blockchain. Ethreum is still the 2nd cryptocurrency and I believe it will stay here in the future also.

As an alternative BSC has given you the option to switch and it turns out that not only BSC, Polygon, Solana also offers the same thing. We just need to choose in which direction the transaction is used. They have made cross-delivery, so it is very good in the future to be able to connect with each other even though they are on different networks.
Solana is also doing well right now, People also talking that it will bet Ehterem soon. I don't believe it, A new coin like Solana cant kill Ethereum's position.

A few platforms that I think will compete directly with ETH in all areas of the market like
SOL
BSC
ICP
AVA...
Basically, some platforms are layer2 solutions now that are solving the very good speed and fee problem that ETH is having.
But perhaps ETH 2.0 will soon fix all the problems the ecosystem is having.

There is no individual Ethereum app or use case which I feel I can't do without. The alternatives on other chains are just as good. Maybe they are not as established so people will trust Ethereum apps more based on their reputation. As time goes on I believe we could see people migrating towards the cheapest fee options and that Ethereum's dominance will be greatly reduced.

New platforms are showing strong competition with ETH, there are many new platforms appearing and solving the limitations of ETH.
But we have to acknowledge the fact that the ecosystem that ETH created is already too big for a new product to replace it. And we are also seeing new updates on ETH, showing that replacement is completely impossible.

But Ethereum lose users because of its problems with scalability, this way different alternative chains (Polygon and Binance Smart Chain) have bigger daily volume now than Ethereum.

Of course. Every popular dApp is on Ethereum these days. Not TRON, Polkadot, or any other smart contract platform. The reason why ETH has the most dApps is because it's the most decentralized and censorship-resistance smart contract platform in the world. Devs and everyday people prefer ETH's security and reliability even with the high fees and slow confirmation times.

There have been so many platforms claiming to be the next "Ethereum Killer", but they've failed in the long term. Consider how EOS lost its luster a couple of months since its inception, as people moved on to the next big thing in crypto. The same might happen with top smart contract platforms like Binance Chain and Solana. Until other platforms improve their security, Ethereum will remain as the leading smart contract platform for a long, long time. Just my thoughts ;D

For me it's not about competing, but some several investors and traders find it as competing for ethereum platform since many diverts their platforms into BSC chain rather than ethereum blockchain, maybe because of the transaction fees is more lighter than ethereum network. And besides, many projects now tend to use BSC Blockchain as their new innovative platform.

Competition between coins that already have their own Blockchain is definitely there, because every coin that has launched its own Blockchain is definitely very ready in terms of competing with others so that those who have more advantages will always be above it.

Solana and these other blockchain platforms are actually good, also, new coins that are being released ought to have their own platform, improving features and everything that Ethereum offers, honestly, these mentioned blockchain platforms are not the only ones ready to compete against ETH's blockchain, but the reason why ETH's blockchain remains to be on top is because of how many users ETH has compared to other platforms.

For now what really looks and continues to compete with ethereum is Binance!!.
because ethereum continues to be developed by its developers so ethereum is not easily rivaled by any blockchain including BNB or Binance.
Then if Binance is difficult to compete with, why do you say in the first sentence that Binance can really compete with Ethereum? I'm even surprised to understand what you're saying because in general Binance has not been able to surpass Ethereum at this point.
Do you believe Binance will be able to compete with ethereum ?
Until now the platform that is widely used is ethereum or Binance? ethereum developers don't stop in developing the erc20 platform so it's not easy to compete with ethereum.

There are at least 3 blockchains I can name, top of my head, that can compete toe to toe with Ethereum. The first is Solana. With a faster transaction speed and lower fees, its a no-no-brainer why its top there. The next is BSC. It has a slightly more costly transaction fee but more validators. Next is Polkadot. This is quite a competitive lots. There are others on their way too, but these 3 are my top

yes, that's very true. I think the offer you made in your statement is very good, because everyone goes through that sort of thing these days. the development of an innovation from a blockchain not only makes it easier for users but makes users disappointed with what they experience, as is the case with ethereum users today. hopefully in the future there will be more blockchain chains that can provide relief for holders.
There's already use case of blockchain in different companies and they're not related to cryptocurrencies. But, they enjoy using it and it's a solution that they've found into their company's system upgrade. But if we're going to relate it to cryptocurrencies, the same tech will be offer again and again until they've experienced so much demand and they have to upgrade a little by little which is the usual process of startup projects.

I think that if several companies have practiced using blockchain in various companies then it is likely that it will continue to use cryptocurrency in those companies. both in paying employees with crypto and being able to make transactions using cryptocurrencies. I think everyone will be very happy with the convenience offered by Blockchain in the development of today's technology.
Let's think logically and wisely now, because the implementation of blockchain and cryptocurrency in all companies will actually also have a good impact on cryptocurrencies, but to shift fiat to all environments or areas of each company, I think it will be very difficult to do in a short period of time, because this requires a special and in-depth analysis so that it does not conflict with regulations in each country.
Even blockchain is future because now just because of this we have too many better things in common people's life, and it's bringing revolution is many industries but still its need some good time for implementing things which bring some more changes but people's feeling this all can happen in very little time which is not possible. Because it's really time seeking thing and many corrupt countries have too many disadvantages with this, but I am hopeful we will have some good and positive change through this even its take some long time. Blockchain is for better and fair use case and transparency.
Ethereum is really innovative use case so for his replacement few platforms already in market but still not going near this as it's going to be leader for many decades.

With better transaction per second and much cheaper gas fees and of course more scalability, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't overtake Ethereum. Then BSC .
I like Ethereum but it better step up its game cos there are newer kids in the block

I don't think any other platform will be able to compete with Ethereum in the future. That's because none can outmatch ETH's level of decentralization and censorship-resistance. BSC and Polkadot may be good smart contract platforms, but they're much more vulnerable to attacks and network disruptions than ETH itself. Decentralization is what really makes crypto stronger.
The reality is that BSCs trade off between performance, transaction speed, including cheaper fees, but they cannot offset the more serious security issues that could arise.  BSC will probably focus more on adoption, Dot still has a long way to go and any of them can grow but I think the future will change.  Sol and BNB are pretty good for this competition.  Binance's $1 billion is probably the bigger impetus for growing the BnB ecosystem to be micro and seamless.  ETH's TVL is still number 1 and leading for defi, the gap is still huge compared to the rest.

Their are already a lot of blockchain which are not just competing with Eth, but are almost taking charge and control. Since the increase in gas fee,  most projects has repeatedly migrated into the binancesmartchain network. And alot of new projects now choose the bsc over ETH,
Is that not enough to see it as a competitor?
For me bsc has already taken control, because it records the highest transaction records on daily basis, and execute transactions faster as well with lesser fee.

Binance Smart Chain and Polygon are two new blockchain which can compete with Ethereum network.  Both addresses are a copy from Ethereum address. But the transaction fee is very low in both networks. As a result, these are becoming very popular very quickly.  Most of the projects are now being launched on these networks instead of Ethereum.

Both projects (BSC and Polygon) rely on Ethereum's EVM, so they're basically the same as Ethereum. The only difference is scalability. You'd get cheaper fees and faster confirmation times on either BSC or Polygon simply because they have greater transaction capacity than Ethereum. Scalability is prioritized in order to achieve widespread adoption in the mainstream world.

I seriously doubt the aforementioned blockchain networks will be able to compete with Ethereum, especially when they use the same virtual machine (EVM) for smart contracts. They're like an improved version of Ethereum with reduced decentralization. Even projects with their own framework for smart contracts (like Cardano and EOS) have been unable to compete with Ethereum up to this point. You simply can't beat the original project no matter how hard you try. Instead of focusing on taking down Ethereum, projects should focus on working together to make crypto land a better place. It's not about Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain or any of its variants. It's about how Blockchain can make our lives better by decentralizing everything. As long crypto/Blockchain tech is useful, nothing else matters. Just my opinion :)

You're missing the newcomer, Sol. They're quite good I must say, even better than Poly and BSC in my opinion. If I've to place my my bet on which one of smart contract coin come close to ETH then I would say Sol right now.

In what ways can Sol be so good from Poly and BSC ? because in terms of transaction fees and transaction speed, Polygon is still very superior with super cheap fees and super fast transactions, so I just want to know now for Solana, what things can make it better than the others ?

We all know about huge transaction fees, not the most convenient scaling and the difficulties of entering the ecosystem. Are there projects that will provide people with the best conditions for the implementation of their ideas in the cryptoworld?
As an alternative BSC has given you the option to switch and it turns out that not only BSC, Polygon, Solana also offers the same thing. We just need to choose in which direction the transaction is used. They have made cross-delivery, so it is very good in the future to be able to connect with each other even though they are on different networks.

I would advise ICX too, its on the progress to deployed its BTP (Blockchain Transfer Protocol) its would also enable interaction across Blockchain, like HTTP which enable us to interact across internet. Sounds really interesting for me.

Bsc, solana, Polkadot, Tron, and Polygon are blockchains that can compete with ethereum. currently ethereum is not a superior platform that is difficult to beat. they are still having problems with scaling and fees that never end. and of the many ethereum competitors, the most similar is Bsc. looks the same overall. developers can easily implement their ideas on that platform.

Agreed, Developers who want to deploy its project is better to use another platform that have friendly tx fee, so the platform can used widely not only the rich people who able to pay huge fee.

Personally, I think NEAR Protocol can compete with Ethereum, this is the L1 blockchain made by the guys who worked at Google and Facebook, as well as the winners of the world programming olympiads. NEAR has a transaction speed of up to 2 seconds and a gas price of <$ 0.01, and it is also environmentally friendly.  But the most important thing is that NEAR launched sharding, and the number of shards will increase every year, which means that NEAR Protocol will be able to withstand any load on its network, and the speed of transactions and the price of gas will always remain the same fast and cheap.  Sharding is really important, look what happened to Ethereum and Avalanch when they gained popularity and got a big load on their network, how much price of gas grew in their network, it should not be so.  I think NEAR can easily compete not only with Ethereum but also with other cool L1 blockchains.

The eth blockchain having a huge amount of fee,  where binance smart chain have low fee. So many other blockchain also can beat eth because of fee.
In the recent day i heard about the qureshi blockchain . i think it will beat all the blockchains.

We've all seen the BSC and polygon network copying and competing with Ethereum network for quite a long time now. Apart from gas fee, I don't think there's any other features that best beat the Ethereum network in operation. Moreover, Binance network are now experiencing congestion. So I think for them to scale it right, that's where gas price hike comes in
