My all time favorite comes from Satoshi. The others are nice, but imho they cannot compare with Satoshi himself.

However, I'm sure that line of mine couldn't even make to the top 500 best excerpts on this old forum. Definitely, it's not the best! The best should be coming from Satoshi himself/herself/themselves and the likes of Hal Finney and the rest of the pioneers who really made a contribution.

And because it was Hal Finney's birthday yesterday, I exerted a little effort to look for a much much better excerpt from the man. I got this one below.

One of my favourite is not from a very popular user, but one who made a thread I have very so often referred back to when looking for simple solutions to seemingly complex issues;


I find the quote particularly useful cause so many people claim to have missed the top or are too late to benefit from Bitcoin and while the post was made some years back, it applies to any year regardless.

This one by theymos was good as a reply to a user who was requesting for KYC on the forum because people were cheating with multiple accounts in bounty campaigns. Theymos added it to his to-do list, of course.

I have two interesting quotes from Satoshi Nakamoto, his success in creating bitcoin and his belief in large transaction volumes since its introduction that we can enjoy today. There are still plenty of them, but just two for now.

This may not be the best to other people but I consider it as one of the best quotes I ever heard or read in Bitcointalk forum. It had a nice message for those who think that there is an unmovable barrier towards their goal and this quote is the solution for it. I think there is a forum user who did it and it's n0nce (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3373858), where he did made a lot of contribution in the forum regardless the rank he had before which goes back to the quote below.


Yeah ;D, the author did make a package out of that one with an animated image with the same thing (Licking my boob since 1970).

Precisely on January 24 2018, the quote theymos below is the quote that surprised me the most because at that time I was still an Sr Member rank but had almost reached Hero Member rank. It took me a lot of time to reach Hero and Legendary ranks, but for whatever effort I put in, I have to admit it was worth it because there was a benefit I felt behind the introduction of the merit system and that was an increase in my contribution to the forum.

I think there is no harm in quoting the words of people who are not very visible (bounty hunters) in this forum. This is one that I found a few days ago,

It boggles my mind how some people as early as 2011 could've foreseen this with confidence. Like good lord it takes a crap ton of conviction and a huge pair of balls to be able to be this bullish when at that time they didn't even have Andreas Antonopoulos; then you get the next response with a dude that put all his money into bitcoin at 2 digits. Oh my god.

There are many remarkable ideas expressed here, during time. Some of them, which I wanted to mention, are already mentioned by others -- Satoshi quotes, for example.

However, I still have 2 quotes in my mind, which touched me when I first saw them. First of all is xtraelv's signature, which was also quoted by theymos (at forum's 10th anniversary, if I rember well; sadly, I can not find it now):
