The first attitude is very suitable to be applied and very many traders experience tremendous panic when they see the market price drop, especially Bitcoin is now at $18k.

It's becoming increasingly apparent that other coins are very influential on Bitcoin. So, the opportunity to buy to increase the volume of Bitcoin can be done again for long-term investments. The current market situation in my opinion is a very tough test to be applied by those who are impatient.

Do not panic. Everything will get better.

There is no need to keep advising people to hold, i have seen this advice so much in the last weeks since bitcoin started plunging, if they do not believe in bitcoin or that this kind of plunge has happened before and that it will return back up, then let them sell to stronger hands that are ready to buy at all times, and just maybe experience will teach them to research next time.

I like your calm, but not everything will get better, some things will get worse and others will remain as they are, it's up to the owner of the wallet to know what will be better to sell or keep. I personally only have in my wallet btc and a little bit of eth and I'm happy with that because I know that in the near future they will come back on the axis and go up again.

Weak hands are probably struggling these days fighting their own emotions, not to fall for another trap because of being impatient. Otherwise, everything will fall apart and see them in the losing end. So stay calm and don't panic. What we see now won't take forever, the market dump is only temporary. Instead, this is the perfect moment to buy and hold, as it could bring huge amount of profits when bitcoin skyrocket again and reach another new ATH.

I've been there before and did really panicked and it's no use. Everyone who's feeling a panic attack should do panic in buying instead of selling and worrying about the market situation.

I know that it's hard to accept and deal with it but this is the market. The volatility that we've got is really disappointing probably for the new ones but this is also the reason why bitcoin went high.

You only need to be patient and don't sell at losses or if you want to cut losses, I think it's too late so just hold or buy.

The biggest threat when the price drops is the loss or diminishing of the estimated value you have for your bitcoins and other Crypto assets. This is a factor that makes traders panic because not all traders and investors will be able to survive without worrying at times like this.

Weak hands will sell and secure their capital, strong hands will buy to make a profit in the long term. Situations like this will continue to be repeated because the weak will get weaker and the strong will get stronger. Worrying about the current market drop doesn't change a thing. This isn't the first time that the market has been this bad and old investors understands what's at stake and what they stand to gain should the market pump at any time. So let the impatient ones go on selling for there will always be buyers ready to buy and hold cause they know what's ahead only just a matter of time.

Just recently I have come across a proliferation of advise related threads on the current market  and I wonder why, cause every well calculating investor will know this is the right time to hold patiently "there will surely be light at the end of the tunnel".

I use to say: don't worry about the things you cannot control. Worry about the mistakes you can do and try to prevent them.
If you touch a live wire and get electrocuted it's on you. If you walk outside and get hit by a lightning, it's not your fault. Worrying about such things will only make you nervous, fearful, unable to enjoy life.

My choice was to buy and hold bitcoin and if there's a nuclear war or a global ban, It's not something any of us can be ready for. I can with all honesty say that I did my best to secure my financial freedom.

Being patient with the market can help you decide on when to buy and sell, panicking is really not good at all and this should be practice by everyone especially now that we might see another bottom.

Buy and hold good coins not just any shitcoins because they might not be able to survive on this bear market. Buying is not easy, it is still need some analysis so you can be on a good place same thing with holding, it is still good to know when to sell and have a target price for this.

I'm not panicking, actually I'm quite happy a big clean-up is coming.

There are more than a thousand altcoins, let's get real 99% are sh*tcoins.

Better couple this with Technical analysis so that the entry and exit points will be more precise.  I agree that patience during crashes often saves us losses because Bitcoin had proven itself so many times that it can recover from all price crashes.


Shitcoins should be thrown away, they only occupy time and space in our portfolio lists.

I think it's only newbies that will be panic in this kind of market that is falling very fast before your eyes. The current condition of the market will soon fade away and the upward market will take control. The market had been moving in this pattern for long and when it was time for the bull season, everyone was happy. Now that everything is going sour we need to be patient and relax because join comes in the morning.

Yeah it’s pretty crazy seeing $18K when my lowest price was the 200 WMA which was at like $22,222 which was almost $5000 higher than here. And yet we managed to go lower. The low for the day is $17600 or so.

I remember when Bitcoin went to $42K and everybody here was like “bought the dip, low in for the year” this was when $69K was the top. And it’s crazy having it go more than half that lower. Right now the way it’s trading, doesn’t look like it will be the low.

You're making wrong decision to not sell shitcoins in the current season and continue to hold in hoping the price will recover. I will tell you, shitcoins wouldn't survive for long term and it's high chance your shitcoins will become dead coin e.g. worthless coin without any value. Now, it's better to cut your losses or you will lose anything of your shitcoins? This is why the reason you need to hold Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is the best coin on long term performance.

What you say is true too and basically shitcoins are not to be held long term,
because the risk for loss will be very large and indeed there is no choice but to sell it even though it will still make us lose,
but at least it can make the loss bigger but it all comes back to everyone's decision and if you really want to keep holding good luck

Nothing increases in value all the time. Of course there will be drop. In times like these, the only thing to do is forget. Forget about your investment and try not to think about it. Buy bitcoin whenever you can. Looking ahead, you will always have made a profit.

The time is money - well stated. That is how the value of Bitcoin increase with the passage of time.
But things will not get better they will remain the same - people will get used to it. Like I have noticed due to surging inflation -and rise in petrol prices - - there is less rush on the road and there is less noise and traffic pollution.

That is the key for now, if we watch the market continuously, we will panic. If we have extra money, then make a purchase, this is already the lowest, but if we are stuck, don't look at the market or charts too often.

The rationale for panicking about unsatisfactory profits or failure with losses has always existed and is a part of various financial markets. Winners and losers always exist together, so sometimes we feel happy or sad about what is happening. It is understandable. Personally, I find experiencing everything in life a lesson that each of us needs to do. I think people need to think more positively and, even though it's difficult, try to learn more to overcome and achieve the success we want.

How many same situation Bitcoin had been for more than 12 years? isn't it common to have some panicking while some are chill and taking this as advantage?

Shitcoins will always be a thing in the crypto world. The old shitcoins will die into oblivion and new shitcoins will emerge.
ICO tokens, IEO tokens, NFTs are gone. DeFi might be coming close to an end. We are waiting for the next big thing. The next shiny object.
Anyway, the assumption that everybody in the crypto market is panicking and selling their Bitcoins because of fear is kinda wrong.
Many traders are acting like "bears" in the moment. They are selling now in order to buy later at a lower price. There's no panic in this behavior.
There's nothing wrong with being a bearish trader.

I'm not sure if anyone who's invested in this market is losing money is still optimistic, but some of the information I'm seeing about the fear index is at its peak. Perhaps this mentality is covering many people. Although it does not cause too much damage to property, I am not very happy because of recent developments, when the amount of money earned in the past few months is decreasing. decrease, although they know that there are still many opportunities in this market. Don't panic, I agree with you, but why would people need to buy more Bitcoin and increasing their exposure to the bear market? Nobody is currently able to say if the bear market has already ended or not. Big firms like Celsius and 3 Arrows Capital are about to go bankrupt which can trigger a cascade of bankruptcy of other crypto companies, or at least severely hurting them. The crypto ecosystem is in a very bad position currently, then I'm not sure it's the right time to buy yet.

Based on my personal experience which has been active in the crypto world since 2017, I've experienced bear markets many times, and bear markets
are only temporary. So the current market conditions are only temporary too, because in the end the market will always recover, so we don't need

I find this quite interesting in this market where it is for everyone to have the same pleasure. Many people are sad about the loss, but there are also many people who are happy with what they have earned. So everything happens for a reason. It's hard for us to see that easily without going through those things, and it's very difficult for new entrants to the market to panic less when they are losing more money.

I like your words but not everything will be fine.  The price of many tokens will remain the same.  If you keep some money from you, it will be up to you to decide what to do with your money.  However it seems to me that we believe in cryptocurrency rather than panic because the market is never stable I have noticed that the current state of the market is not just towards dumping.  The cryptocurrency market is temporary because the price of bitcoin will rise and so will the price of many tokens.  Now that the market is weak, we must be strong and believe that the market will return.  I don't think there is any reason to panic, everything will be fine.

The other day I heard sad news from my friend that he is borrowing from various sources from relatives and now cannot pay. Even though he has also been in this market for many years, I feel the temptation of money and wealth is scary. For many people, there is no end to the satisfaction with what they earn and then fall into financial debt. For me, the balance in life as well as investments requires thinking more carefully when you act. It will affect your life as well as your family's. Well, like I've said before in one of my previous post, one of the major reason or cause why people panic when there is a price drop on Bitcoin or any other crypto asset is lack of adherement to the rule which states that "one should only invest as much as they are willing to loose".
It is true that no one wants to loose their money no matter how small, but having this mindset that what ever you are investing is an amount you are able or willing to throw away gives one peace of mind, it makes hodling easier when most especially when hodling becomes the only option so as top avoid panic selling at a loss, because money invested in this case is money that wasn't going or meant to be used in a shortest timeframe, so it doesn't really affect the investor when the market turns bearish because he or she has funds available to fall back on.

But people wont listen and continue to invest their lifesavings and expecting some quick profit, but when the market moves against them, it becomes a big problem for them which is why we've been seeing a lot of posts or threads rather, on the topic of Bitcoin price since the price decline started.

Agree with you 100%, we need to hold patience and think positive, better days will certainly return. All what happened with all financial markets is not happened first time, we had recessions and depression in the past but eventually they came to an end and things got better. I think 17K was the bottom of Bitcoin. Since oil prices have started coming down which will certainly reduce inflationary pressure and market sentiment will improve.

Don't gamble or take big financial risk though. And it's advisable to only invest in safe, useful and unique projects.

The current plan is to make sure that prices of all false projects are detached from the price movement of the Main. It is important to break their interconnectedness or weaken the links.

 In the current situation. There are some traders who are giving away their coins and token sells with extra pressure due to the continuous decline in the price of BTC. I saw them and small traders were selling them. This is the time to buy tokens because BTC will not always be the same. The price of BTC will increase. And the main thing is that all tokens and coins depend on Bitcoin. When the price of BTC goes down, the price of all tokens goes down. But when it starts to increase, the price of token increases less. Because hold is gold.

In answer to the title of topis I can would say that's pretty much easy to say but hard to do at the current situation to hold and buy bitcoin especially when we don't really know where is the real final bottom of the price this can be scary especially for the newbie when they enter the market without of any proper plan. Usually, when this situation happens in any market the investors will become under pressure to sell because some of them invested the money the ned and now they need their money to get out of the market while their money losing the value, I saw many people in this situation. While the wise people will stop checking the market and instead will just put the buy orders at different price levels.

Yes they won't be a thing in the past because if they are then we won't be seeing them up to this point. A clean-up is better than nothing because at least the number of them will get lessen and I can't imagine if they will just stack. What will this market look like? but for sure lots of money are going to get burned away. Who assumes that everyone is panicking? and why worry when it's only just an assumption.

In this space, we have so called veterans. They have lots of experience and knows what to do in this kind of situation and if there are bad actors maybe they just want to scare the public? And then they will take the advantage of buying once the market dumps more.

Bitcoin price has increased a bit but i must say this is still a good buying moment. A lot of bitcoin enthusiasts have been waiting for this big opportunity to increase bitcoin in their portfolio so let's not put it to waste. Buy and hold, as its the best thing to do. Or do DCA as its always helpful if you want to buy at bitcoin's cheapest value. While others are building their wealth in this bearish market, others have been blinded by fears and leave the market instantly. And what's most frustrating is when they start coming back in the market ready to buy when the market is already bullish, and bitcoin is already very expensive by that time.

I'd certainly looking forward to seeing Bitcoin and the entire market will be pumping soon as long as we keep our strong support. Buying is indeed one thing we can do, selling could be an option but this never it helps for the recovery, yet this it pushes more to the dip and prolong the recovery. While we are in a dip situation, taking advantage of buying more is a great idea rather than doing nothing or just losing the opportunity that we think of during Bullrun.

speaking of panic this reminds me that in the past I would panic as soon as the price dropped a lot, it was something that today I can't even believe I did that, as soon as I saw that the price was dropping a lot I started selling because I thought that the price would drop to zero, I know it's meaningless but at the time I didn't realize it and to be honest I just bought without doing any technical analysis and without having any strategy on where to buy and if the price drops what should I do

When we are still a noob then we do really have this kind of behavior on which we do panic sell whenever we do see the price is declining which if we do think off sensibly then it is really just dumb action to be done since we know that recovery  is always next in line but once we do able to gain experience then these kind of behavior and mindset will change overtime and made out some realization that's not how market works or actions should be made on these times.Once you do have the experience and awareness about this market then you do know on how to handle up yourself into these kind of times which it might not be easy as it
sounds but it wont really be that hard on making out immediate steps according on what you are currently experiencing or facing on.

but that's the process, where we will experience a difficult phase to control our psychology, and will decrease as we have experience in the world of cryptocurrency. so don't be in a hurry to invest directly without knowledge, it's better to learn first, even though you're not smart at least we already have the knowledge and we start investing. things like that will be a very valuable experience for us, so try not to repeat it like in this situation

No need to worry if Bitcoin price is falling, it always rises from ashes and makes new ATH. Today Bitcoin is trading 21K which a sigh of releief for crypto market traders. You're correct about most of coins and tokens price are follow Bitcoin price, but you're wrong suggesting anyone to buy tokens rather than Bitcoin. What you need to know is, almost doesn't mean all, so the possibility some coins and tokens price will go opposite. Not to mention many tokens and coins already become dead coins since they can't survive in the bear market, since it's hard to get a new investors. Buy tokens and coins in bear market is similar like gambling on huge odds, you either earn big amount or lose it all. The recent event of UST and LUNA should be remembered.

Experience is very important and a newbie certainly needs a process to reach that point,

Let me explain a bit. When we see this we hold and we have the keys, but the trading boys use crypto only to made money in a hosrt windows of time, and with that they put his things to work and one of this things are the so called " Stop Loss" when you have that shit and a lot of leverage guys its not only panic, its a cascade of auto sell for stop loss tool.

That is a thing that many people do and I do not understand what the point of that is. I mean that is not really a terrible thing, but it is not an ideal situation neither. I have seen so many people who ended up doing such silly stuff. Even people who work in companies and responsible for the salaries of everyone and used that money for crypto and lose a bunch of money there and got fired and jailed for using companies’ money to do that.

Moreover, I would say that the best thing for all of us would be to realize what we can do about this situation. The start is not doing it, but if we are going to get money from people we know, at least tell them that you may not be paying it back if it goes down.

Things would be better if everyone See's their situation as an uncomfortable place to be, and work hard to get things better. Someone can't just sit back and keep saying things would be better without putting efforts. High hopes without efforts is just a big disappointment at the end, which might lead to a very wrong choice and decision all together. Most people keeping make this particular mistake because they don't have an idea about what it is all about.

The market has been green for a few days and I believe this is a good sign that the market will soon rise again, its time to buy, don't panic when you see the price drop, but prepare big money to buy, all investors are waiting to buy cheaply, so the time is now will be difficult to repeat.

I didn’t panic anymore as I am more bullish on Bitcoin than any other coin or token in the market today. I am doing DCA with it and I’ll be continuing to do so as long I have additional spare funds per month. Not just in crypto, but also in stocks and other concerns such as fuel price increase. My dad even started to ask me for some extra money just for the fuel. It will worsen as next month there’s another price hike, so I’ll do everything I can to contribute. It motivates me to do whatever it takes to increase my monthly average income.

Spending less isn’t going to be a long-term solution for this crisis, but instesd we should increase our income revenue sources.

Say, a chart showing you at -10% hit different when your life is secure vs when you ran out of money for rent or food.

Depends on your view and perception towards market whether going for short term or long term and if you do invest your money in all in manner then you would usually freak out with these market condition on which you do see your portfolio is going down then these are common reactions. We know that this market couldnt really be having that one direction on moving up which some
people been thinking to be this way but once reality do slap into their face then this is where realization and learning do happen.

Invest on what you can afford to lose always and you wont really be making yourself that too much affected whenever the market do make out some bearish movement

But when you see now that there are indeed a lot of new people who are starting to follow this, it will be a different story because indirectly this is the first time they have experienced a big decline like this so panic is certain to occur and this is what makes many think that Crypto is something that not good and only detrimental.

So, nothing to worry about the current fall in most coin prices. However, learning about the price history, money management, and current issues is a must. Their is no point to be panic, it is the a matter of time and to be patient,  if their is a time for the dip , the time for making gain will also come .  People consider to make only profit in bitcoin and they forget that there is bearish market in bitcoin which the price of bitcoin tend to go down dip. Patience in crypto don't come by default it is been learnt. If you don't have patience definitely panic will set in. To avoid panicking wait till when the bulls takes charge else if you can risk it for more dips if that happens then buy and hold. We have had a lot who thought $18k was the dip and bought but who knows the plunge will move even further.

We have witnessed jump of more than $1500 in Bitcoin price since last evening when CPI data announcement came in & it was lower than what market was expecting which is good news for all financial markets including Bitcoin . Now Bitcoin is trading around 24,500 which seems strong resistance and once this resistance is broken, we might see Bitcoin around 27K in coming days.

I don't think so. Most that are panicking are the new ones but those that have been here for quite awhile, I don't think that a 5% is already too big to panic.
Not only for the experienced ones but for everyone that includes the newbies. Think of each fall as the best time to buy because it's the opportunity that we've been waiting for.

Actually OP, it is easier said than done.

Given that there are people who invested thousands to millions of $$$ on their BTC investment, this means that the slightest movement on its price could mean an increase/decrease of over thousands of dollars on their investment. So, while the thought of HODLing and hope may give some sort of assurance, people who have lots of dollars on their investment should be ready to take all the contingencies and plans in order to maximize the their gain or loss on their investments.

I think it's only those who are new to the crypto market that will keep bordering themselves about the market. Even though the market looks somehow now, we still have advantage to buy more now and hold till when the market to turn to a better direction.
It once happened in in 2017 and now it looks like the same thing will happen which will make us stronger if we can be ready not to be bordered about the nature of the market. The market will come back to us if we can be patient and consider so many things happening now.

Of course. Not everyone is capable of "hodling" crypto for a very long time. Especially now when we're living in hard economic times. Everything is increasing in price from gas to energy and food. In general, investing requires composure and endurance. I agree on one thing, it's never too late to invest in bitcoin even though the current bitcoin price is $21.6K. I don't think this is the highest price because obviously bitcoin is still at its -68% ath. It's still possible to see the price climb higher past any resistance, but I'm not sure this year the $40K will hit again.

easy said than done , imagine you have bought bitcoin at 25k then suddenly over night the price went down to 18k do you really believe that normal investors will just sit down and relax? I agree with the OP 100%.  However, if one has not prepared or put themselves in a position to long term HODL, then this might be quite tough for some to do and becomes a case of easier said than done.  Hopefully these will learn and be able to apply themselves next cycle if they can't HODL on.

For beginners it is very difficult to overcome panic. because they are not familiar with the market. and sometimes many of the beginners who intend to invest long term. Instead, they sold their assets because the panic itself was dragged into it. because usually beginners always think that they can sell now and hope to buy back from lower levels. but in reality when the price is down. even beginners are afraid to buy.

Why on earth would I panic when obviously this isn't the first time bear season is happening? I'm not confidently saying I'm happy with it but of course, the expectancy is there. This is why it's advisable to not be greedy and always take profit at all times whenever possible.

Everyone won't be having similar mindset. Most of the users just want profit. Cryptomarket is the place where it is possible to make an earning unlike the market trend. The risk is there, but with the knowledge and skills it is possible. Every market won't stay on the bullish side all the time, the real growth is having Bull and bear market. We need to learn and find opportunities out of the market and leaving it out of panic.

The market was recovering due to some positive news but I think these dumps are short terms and it will continue for now due to some other factors like the warrant that was spread by the South Korean government for the arrest of Do Kwon, the famous Luna master who allowed many investors to lose their wealth and also, the Us mortgage rate in the US has increased, there was also an announcement on United Kingdom increase in inflation, we are also expecting some MT Gox to release to some bitcoin to their owners, so some traders are closing their positions so they don't get liquidated by funny moves or volatility. So many invents are coming that will make the market recover a bit and dump too, so sit tight and hodl.

It has became a norm that people sell at panic and they're doing that out of their losses. It's a stop loss for them because they'll think that they'll get more losses.
A friend of mine has sold most of his bitcoins on 2018 and that didn't made him able to go back and never bought back. Now, he's at lost and never came back to the market regretting being a HODLER and enduring all of the pain of the market.

I am no longer interested in Altcoins and so far there are no Altcoins that I keep as assets. For me Altcoins are not able to provide guaranteed value in the future. I'm tired of Altcoins.

The direction and focus of my every discussion here and outside the forum is only on Bitcoin because I think Bitcoin is the king of crypto. Can't compare Bitcoin with other cryptos. It's been years since I wasted time with Altcoins. So, what needs to be held and collected right now is Bitcoin. The patience and hold that prevails today in my opinion is for Bitcoin.

That's good for you as you've find comfort with bitcoin and not anymore with altcoins. To me, I still have a very few of altcoins on hold and some of them were dead for good.
But there's nothing gonna happen even if I sell them so I just keep them for good and not hoping that someday they'll pump and a whale would buy a lot of it, not like that but just keeping it to myself like a memory of a wrong decision I've made.

Actually some Altcoins are still very good in my opinion but I am dealing with other things for now because I am only for altcoins that have something good and are quite reliable, the rest are for projects that are not very clear I prefer not to look at it because it is just wasting -wasting time even though it is possible some of them have pump and dump.

Yup. I've got no plans of selling them as they really are dead. If you're only for altcoins and you're making well there then congratulations. But don't forget that sometime in the future that majority of the alts will be stomped again by bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the top choice and it's a definite thing I do. As for some Altcoins here I only hold eth and bnb for now because for other coins I still don't plan to bring them unless it's shitcoin which has been a collection for the past few months.

That's good, those are good choice of altcoins. There's certainty with bitcoin and that's why I also encourage the others that still don't have it to buy it.

Of course. Selling at lower prices would only make you a looser in the long run. You're better off holding your coins until prices go back up again. Most people panic because they fear the cryptocurrency they're investing into will go all the way to zero. But that only happens if you invest into coins with a low market cap or extremely high inflation rate. The rest of the cryptocurrencies on the market generally retain their value over time (although they could decrease massively in price during bearish times).

If you're worried about prices, then simply convert your crypto into a stablecoin of your choice. Then, you can choose to cash out in real money (Fiat) or simply buy more coins at a lower price. Rinse, and repeat. Crypto was never about the price anyways, so as long as it provides real use cases to the world, the rest doesn't matter. Just my opinion :)

I feel that we can force people to tell us to buy Bitcoin, but let the explanation after explanation that we provide make them make good use of their money in investing for the future.

Yea mostly some coins that sometimes give you a good return for a short term is shit coin but not in the long term since they're scammed by many people later on. Preparing our mindset and mentality is needed when we want to trade or even invest for a long term since we will see many FUD out there and make our minds to sell them when something bad happens.
