Since the end of January 2014, we've set-out to create the ultimate information based, alternative currency website. Through our research conducted, we've analyzed almost every crypto based site; from market, analysis sites, exchanges, merchants, news and the information based crypto sites. I got a good idea to make SourceCoin more attractive.
We just need to hold some coins back till IPO will be closed.
As a rule there will be some members who missed the IPO-deadline, so we could offer an auction to attract these coins to more people.
They will pay higher prices than in the IPO-stage to get a small stake.
For this case we could open a new thread in BTT which will get much attention.

Interesting, but we are not really here to profit on SourceCoin. We will offer some form of purchasing of SRC after May 5th (when the IPO ends, but it won't be anything unreasonable.

What the plan is to trickle distribute SRC to the world, we will be offering it not only to BTT community, but as a little welcoming present into Coins Source. This will ultimately give the most value to SRC through a massive distribution channel, in a short amount of time.

I know what you mean, but have you already seen the distribution of NEM? Now, they have about 3000 stakeholders. That means they have already that big amount of members who are willing to contribute something to NEM.
Because of that fact, NEM is already pretty well-known in BTT.
If you can share SourceCoin like NEM did, there will be that kind of community this COIN need to get started.
They thought about the disadvantages of NXT's small distribution to 73 stakeholders and brought their coin to many people. So atm NEM is the fairest coin in crypto.

When reviewing coins, could you provide a scoring method that incorporates the significance of the coin? I like to invest in coins that serve a purpose (charitable contributions or funding research) and not those just serving to get the devs rich.

Interesting, add a scoring field for how honest, transparent and benefits of the crypto currency. I'm running by this by my team right now.

We are ultimately going to end up with 6 different fields to grade a coin on, the initial launch just brought about 4 aspects.



We have plans on implementing 1 more field to incorporate a purely based coding/technical approach, which gathers information from several outlets pertaining to crypto currencies. This score will ultimately give another aspect, and give the reader the ultimate understanding about our grades and how accurate they are, backed by technology.

Simply scooping data from several sources or gathering information from researching is not enough. Researching outweighs data sweeping, but we want to insert the data sweep to absolutely solidify our scoring process.


There is a list of features we have that we want to incorperate into Coins Source, that's ultimately why we are doing an IPO to fund something revolutionary. My team and I are capable of doing this, we've gone so far but we believe we have so much farther to go. We are just at the beginning.

We don't like clone coins that don't offer anything new just as much as most people on these forums. But, we truly are trying to assist and help developers see this and create better monetary systems, and in turn, a better future for all.

I'd like to know more about the notable developers who first created some of the technology that gets copied by lots of other coins. eg POS, scrypt, multipool,  etc Who first invented these cool ideas? It would be nice to profile some of the key people.

2) On April 28th, share price will rise to .03btc
3) On May 5th, the launch of cryptostocks the share prices will rise by another .01btc, to .04btc

Can you add some interviews - video & audio - make pod-casts. I think it's easier and more fun to absorb information that way compared to reading sometimes. It would be a lot more work too, but well worth it.

I think your site design is very professional, but it loads a little slowly. Maybe the eye candy could be modified to quicken things up a little. The content is spot on!

I think the site is awesome. One suggestion is you could offer bounties for user contributed content, especially short articles and 'hot tips'. New coins, IPO's, price movements, regulatory changes, insiders knowledge, rumours etc. This BTT forum is so overwhelming now with crap content that it's hard to find the gold. It takes hours of wading through junk to find what;s going on. If you pay people a small bounty for really good content you'll corner the market in crypto information, and it'll save you guys a lot of time. Add a rating system to determine which user contributed content is the most useful.

This is a matter of opinion, given the choice of audio, video or written articles, I always choose to read.

Earlier you promised to explain the technology behind coins, this will help the noobs (me!). I spend every spare minute keeping track of whats happening in the world of coins, but find it difficult understanding it all. I have bookmarked your site, maybe you will add a Noobs section!!

Adam is one of the most respected crypto media people at the moment, and he's probably got lots of good ideas for your site. Maybe you could do some promotion on his show, or try and be reciprocal interview subjects. He's even launching his own media related coin LTBCoin, and it's similar to SourceCoin. I think LTBCoin is being released via Counterparty.

We've not considered contacting Adam Levine as of this moment. We initially want to get Coins Source out of the IPO phase, so we can explode outwards to the public.

They are trying something - perhaps they'll succeed, perhaps they'll fail. I am not a fan of using SRC when it's already in use, so we're on the same page on that one, but calling them scams because of this is irresponsible. They aren't maliciously trying to do anything to your beloved original SRC. If they change the symbol, in your mind, will they miraculously become non-scam? Why conflate the two?

Hey counter, I like the site as well, but I was lucky enough to find this thread in time to buy some shares at a good rate.  So yes I might be bias, but the Dev's are busy improving and exspanding the site every day.

I have been caught out a few times in the past, where after a month or so, the Dev's loose interest and move on, when that happens now, I sell all and move on, as their are many coins out there and not enough time.

I believe these Dev's when they say they are committed long term with this project. For me proof is not what they say, but what they DO.

Poloniex market may have been frozen because they may have updated their wallets, for the SourceCoin fork at block 20,000.

At block 20,000, SourceCoin will be a 100% Proof of Stake coin. the current 5 SRC block reward will cease.

My Computer > (Your Main drive (C..) > Users > "Your Name" > AppData > Roaming > SourceCoin > "Add Config file in SourceCoin"




If you do not see "AppData" then the folder is hidden. Go to the top menu bar:



Tools > Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders > OK

Having an issue with the site, trying to submit a coin but the submission never gets submitted, instead it gets stuck after you hit the submit button.

Have you filled out all the required fields?

I believe the issue you are having is trying to click the Submit button, but no actions whatsoever take place, not even a dialogue.



We know that if you try to submit without all required fields, it will not popup with dialogue beneath the submit button, instead it will show under required fields in the submission form. This issue or inconvenience will be fixed.

I downloaded this config file and updated to the latest wallet (on OP).
But it doesn't sync, "0 active connections."

I'm not sure why this issue is cropping up all of the sudden, but this has been resolved by allowing the IP ports in your virus blocker/firewall. I believe something in the SRCC is being detected incorrectly, i will send it over to my dev

All I had to do was stop the wallet from running and replaced my CoinsSource folder with the new one. It started right up and synced no problem. Didn't have to add or change anything with a config file?

It could possibly be due to the fork.
