I am also wondering about this coin. Pools don't seem to be supported yet so I'm not sure if the 57000-88000 hashes I'm getting are worth it.

How did you get the wallet?  I signed up, skipped the verification since it asked my social security number, but I don't see a link for the wallet.  If I have to provide an SSN for the wallet, then I guess I won't be mining this coin...

I didn't have to provide any information for the wallet.

Edit: Try downloading directly from the site here: https://www .anthemvault.com/media/uploads/inncoin-0.8.6.5a-win32-setup.exe

Caution! This is a direct download link! I had to put a space so it would not be flagged.

Where is the official ANN thread of this coin? I cant find it on here. Also, what algorithm uses? What gains can I expect with a old Q6600 CPU and not so old r7850 GPU? I guess about shit nothing but whatever.

(Reuters) - U.S. precious metals dealer Anthem Vault Inc said on Wednesday it has launched the first digital currency backed by physical gold, with an aim to increase the use of bullion as an accepted form of electronic money.

Las Vegas-based Anthem said it will launch 10 million "INNCoins" backed by 100 grams (3.5 ounces) of gold, with all coins expected to be in circulation by July 2015.

"It should make gold more acceptable as a form of currency by combining its appeal as a store of value and a much more efficient medium of exchange," said Anthem Blanchard, chief executive of Anthem Vault, who previously worked at online precious metals market GoldMoney.

Blanchard said Wednesday's launch was a promotional offering, and the company has plans to offer a full suite of virtual currencies backed by a larger amount of gold as well as other precious metals at the end of September.

What kind of hardware do you have? Does it take massive hash power to mine?

From reading their website (link below), 1 INN equals 100,000th of a gram of gold, so the value will fluctuate as the price of gold does.  I like the thinking behind this coin, since it is actually backed up by a hard asset (gold). I have not seen a place to exchange INN for BTC.

InnCoin is backed by a known gold dealer that has had a reputable name in the gold exchange industry for years. It is less sketchy that many other crypto currencies out there.

Also, I was not required to provide any social security number or other such information to get the wallet and initiate mining.

InnCoin was developed by Newnote and is backed by 100 grams of physical gold

100 grams = ~$4,200

For an entire currency.  With mining spread out over 12 months.  I'm not going to do the calculations but the cost of electricity probably exceeds the worth of the coins, or at least makes them barely profitable.

Anyone that started mining this just because it mentions gold needs to rethink their evaluation process.  Or you know, actually start having an evaluation process.

For the most part, it simply appears to be a promotional effort by the gold dealer. You earn a little bit of free gold that hopefully you come to them to exchange for USD, and even more hopefully leave the gold on deposit with them, and even more hopefully buy more gold from them.

Hey.. :)

How did u setup the GPU mining software, thinking in terms of (ip connection address) / username / password..   :)
(know it's X11 and have the SGminer for that, but doesn't seem to be correctly set up from my part  ;) )..

-Forgot to mention something about the wallet-mining feature: Check the wallet console with the command: GetMiningInfo and you should see some info about your mining.  IF the line "Generate" states "False", then (as far as i can figure out) you are NOT generating any coins ie. you dont get paid for your work.. This can be corrected thru a batchfile for loading your wallet. It should only contain one line (InnCoin-qt.exe -gen) and this will correct the issue regarding turning "Generate" from "False" to "True".

But MUST say, I have NOT done any testing yet!  ::)

-AND PLEASE DO CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG IN  ANY OF THIS  ;D

Have a AWESOME day  ;D

I figured that out

check getmininginfo in console and you will see that generate is set to FALSE

just close the wallet and add -gen after the target
i.e.
"D:\Program Files (x86)\Anthem Vault\INNcoin\inncoin-qt.exe" -gen

If anyone hasn't done this you won't generate coins

check getmininginfo in console and you will see that generate is set to true

check getmininginfo in console and you will see that generate is set to true

You can also start mining from within the console by typing the following:

setgenerate true

I am guessing that the generate coins doesn't need to be set.  I have mined 850 coins so far (most of them using the CPU mining on the 17th-18th) and converted over to GPU mining on the 19th.   I was getting 95k hash with CPU (i5 Sandy Bridge) and now I'm at 1880k with GPU (Nvidia GTX660).   The 50 coin block appears in my transaction log as soon as one is found with ccminer.  It takes over 100 additional blocks to be found on the blockchain before it matures and is added to the balance.

I only modified the .conf file as follows:

server=1
rpcuser=inncoin (this could probably be changed, I left it default)
rpcpassword=xxxxx (use your password, I'm guessing the default one was autogenerated)
rpcport=9332
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1

I changed server from 0 to 1 to allow RPC login.  added a port and local address.

I utilize ccminer v1.2 with the following batch file
ccminer.exe --algo=x11 -o http://127.0.0.1:9332 -u inncoin -p (your rpc password)

"[2014-07-22 14:53:01] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 660, 1883 khash/s"

Either way, it takes about $0.24 in energy (plus your GPU is out of commision during mining) to earn around $0.05 in inncoin (on today's gold price) per day.  This will keep going up if more people jump on the GPU mining bandwagon.   Only good for those who want to lose money, which I'm doing at the moment for fun.  :)

My energy calcs is based on 100watts of energy used at $0.10/KWH or roughly $0.24 per day.  Based on a set value of 100 grams of gold (~$4100) for 10 million coins, a block of 50 coins is valued around $0.02.   That means I have paid ~$0.75 in the last 3 days to mine $0.12 worth of inncoin/gold.

And what if  AnthemVault decides to increase the  value of the coin ?  It is not a big deal for them , as an proved gold trader ....

~12,000 blocks have been generated (11,933 as the sending of this reply) out of 200,000 total blocks on the proposed chain.   They could possibly double or quadruple the value easily as the current 100g backing is a very low amount of gold to start with and easily within a marketing budget to still increase.    Also it would be a bonus to those early on as part of helping kick off the generation of the blocks that they can then resell for gold and use as part of the overall portfolio.   I am hoping for such as well as an increase in the value of gold as the dollar continues to fail.   But at the current time, I still don't see it being worth what it costs to generate.  Again that is part of the gamble of any coin.  :)

I didn't say I was going to stop mining just yet though.   But a few blocks per day just doesn't pay for the cost of energy used and will hopefully deter others from mining my blocks.   ;)

There is no IPO ICO premine etc usual scams , or some web site build 2 day ago with a nice flash on it ........ I think when something as real and visible to all of the ppl is working perfect , it needs just little announcement , which i think we will see soon enough .

Agreed.   I have gold and silver in their vault and wish them the best.  I think they are starting it out right.   I also think the number was initially low to make sure they have their ducks in a row and that they do it the right way and not get ripped off.  I think the only part that will backfire for marketing is they are still sending out advertisements for people to use the CPU mining built into the wallet.   That is a complete waste of time now that GPU mining has taken off.   Wish I would have started it sooner with GPU.  :)

Same as darkcoin http://wiki.darkcoin.eu/wiki/Mining_Darkcoin

based on the .conf file changes I indicated a few posts back (server = 1, add RPC port and path) I would attempt to use the following with sgminer for ATI cards.

sgminer --kernel darkcoin -o http://127.0.0.1:9332 -u inncoin -p (your password)

on a side note it also looks like the set generate turns the cpu generation back on inside the wallet and does nothing for GPU mining purposes.

Let me know if this works for you.

i think yes but they wont tell nothing :))

Would be great if someone who already know something to make a mini guide about this coin.

You mine it with some CPU or GPU mate ?

I mined it the first day it was announced - didn't have to sign up and was hitting several blocks a day with only 100-110 kh/s. At around 800 coins mined, that is when the difficulty shot up and I mined for 3 days straight with nothing. So I packed it up and will just hold the coins to see if this goes anywhere. As far as I am concerned it is a simple marketing ploy...but who knows.

Ive been mining it for the last 24hrs, the only info I can find on it is from the website itself or all of the press releases. Any thoughts ???

I have been mining it for 8 hours now and have 350 INN, so looking good.

Hey.. :)

How did u setup the GPU mining software, thinking in terms of (ip connection address) / username / password..   :)
(know it's X11 and have the SGminer for that, but doesn't seem to be correctly set up from my part  ;) )..

Thanks in advance

Hi.  I used the Username/Password that are in the extisting CONF file and it worked.  :-)

Thanks for the info  :)

Tried to use the sgminer wih many different setup thru a MINING.BAT file, but it doesn't seem to come around.. Keeps hanging and waiting for work and after a while I get further errors, such as "Pool 0 down or..."
So now I'll try SGminers own conf-file, can anyone pinpoint what my error is in the following SGMINER.CONF setup (Windows 7, ASUS R280x 3gb and SGminer (Newest version)) since I get the same freaking errors... grrr....  ::)

Right now difficulty is 2.82  , and net hash across 50 mh -  everyone can mine even from the wallet with his CPU.

Title: Re: Everybody mining this needs to do this now
Post by: bradfrogger on July 26, 2014, 04:29:57 PM
I figured that out

check getmininginfo in console and you will see that generate is set to FALSE

just close the wallet and add -gen after the target
i.e.
"D:\Program Files (x86)\Anthem Vault\INNcoin\inncoin-qt.exe" -gen

If anyone hasn't done this you won't generate coins

check getmininginfo in console and you will see that generate is set to true

I only modified the .conf file as follows:

server=1
rpcuser=inncoin (this could probably be changed, I left it default)
rpcpassword=xxxxx (use your password, I'm guessing the default one was autogenerated)
rpcport=9332
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1

It is only a matter of time before gold does another high climb, raising that dollar value per gram.   :-)

Coin and wallet looks fine by now - net hash goes up and down , but it is normal - they did't release it still official , but when it does , i think it will attract a lot of attention.........How many coins have such well known gold trader as a backup? I think they will @ least double the backup price  once it goes official ! Will continue to mine it - we will never see such diff as 2.82 never again  ;)

Would you mind sharing what type of cards and quantity as well as how much power you consume on the setup?  I was just curious.  I wanted to setup a nice GPU farm for bitcoin prior to the ASIC boom.  Great way to re-purpose a good GPU setup.  I'm also using a mid level card with the GTX660 and would like to at least have at least a 770 running.  I'm guessing dual 770's would be pushing close to 6-8MH.    Are Nvidia cards better on X11 or AMDs?   Would take quite a few in the farm to hit 150MH though.   For the $60 (current worth) of coins shown in the pool, I'm guessing you have spent close to that in electricity?   I'm using the name nexus on the pool.

Looks to be back up.  I received my payout from what was still on the system.    I was able to mine 26 blocks at 1.8MH directly from my wallet while the big dogs/pool was off line.  Yay!!

I'll jump back on when the difficulty jumps back up.  :)

I only modified the .conf file as follows:

server=1
rpcuser=inncoin (this could probably be changed, I left it default)
rpcpassword=xxxxx (use your password, I'm guessing the default one was autogenerated)
rpcport=9332
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1

It is only a matter of time before gold does another high climb, raising that dollar value per gram.   :-)

I would not want to discourage anyone from mining INNcoin or investing in gold, but at least for the short-term, gold is likely to substantially drop in value soon. The price fix mechanism is being removed. For several years the value of gold has been intentionally manipulated up to "false" values.

"D:\Program Files (x86)\Anthem Vault\INNcoin\inncoin-qt.exe" -gen

If anyone hasn't done this you won't generate coins

check getmininginfo in console and you will see that generate is set to true

I only modified the .conf file as follows:

server=1
rpcuser=inncoin (this could probably be changed, I left it default)
rpcpassword=xxxxx (use your password, I'm guessing the default one was autogenerated)
rpcport=9332
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1

Wrong.. it is silver that is having the price fixing removed. And do not think for a minute that a "new" price fixing method is not already lined up.  Nothing will change, IMO.

GoldReserve (XGR) is the first gold backed crypto that has succeeded.. Ive been mining that for a while. This seems very sketchy, since there is no info or anything =o

Sketchy?  Anthem website has info, so why would you bash?  Oh.. just hoping to promote XGR I guess.

I've mined it. Its a great coin. Dev is on daily and really is building up the gold fund he has set up. Is inn coin a copy of it?

The price fix mechanism is being removed. For several years the value of gold has been intentionally manipulated up to "false" values.

Gold and silver have been manipulated.  And the fixing mechanism isn't being removed for any of them.   And the values have been manipulated to stay low not high in order to protect the USD.     Look up naked shorts.

It's only a matter of time before the USD bubble bursts.  While most other currencies are tied to the USD and will also crash, gold and silver will still remain a free market based storage of wealth.  It just may not be as liquid as some would hope, though with AnthemVaults exchange methods it may be somewhat liquid if the entire system doesn't come crashing down.

Inncoin could disappear just as easily as the USD, as it's still only a currency (an exchange mechanism).  There is currently no contract, no guarantee that the crypto currency is legally backed by gold.  I don't think a court of law will require them to pay me in gold if I want to exchange my current coins (The whole $2 worth I have managed to mine).   But if AnthemVault gets serious and really wants to push the use of the inncoin, they will need to purchase the mined coins for use.  At this time I don't think anyone is willing to sell the coins they mined at the current rate of 0.0224 / 50 coins.  Thus causing them to require it to be backed by additional gold.  If they decide to drop the inncoin and move on to another coin/new block chain that would be bad marketing on their part.   It's a gamble.

Happy mining!

The federal reserve banking system of the US has more control over euro and other currencies than most know.   Here is a list of countries with foreign exchange reserves (excluding gold).  Most of these reserves are tightly held to the USD as the primary reserve.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_foreign-exchange_reserves_%28excluding_gold%29

When the Chinese currency is doomed due to the private debt in China.  While the government has money in the bank, the country's debt as a whole is near or over 200% of their GDP.

The USD is coming to and end though as Russia and others start moving more towards China as the new reserve currency.  I just don't see it lasting as long as the USD did due to the extremely high debt based economy of China.  Or at least as long as everyone stops holding USD as the primary method of exchange and allow multiple currencies for major commodities.

It's hard to know what fiat to store, so gold and silver remain the best storage of wealth IMHO.

I forgot to add that some of the gold reserves are possibly over inflated.  The US gold reserves are believed to be no where near the stated amount, while China has been purchasing tons of gold to build up their reserves.   Another reason why the Chinese currency will probably surpass the US currency in the near future.  Though I doubt the elites that are the major shareholders of the private US federal reserve will allow it to happen for too long.   Long enough for them to make money and steal the gold prior to causing a crash of the Chinese monetary takeover.   Not many places left that actually create wealth based on manufacture of goods, at least China has that going for them.  But the growth of the Chinese middle class and not many children to support the aging population, I don't see it lasting very long anyways.

I spoke with somebody at Anthem Vault and got some info. He wasn't a dev, just a spokesperson I think. I was told they've had articles in 13 different languages written about INNcoin, people calling up asking how they can sell their Bitcoin for a gold-backed cryptocurrency, etc, and that the response has been great. He went on to say that this coin is more of a promotional coin, like others suggested, and that they will eventually release a new coin that is backed by much, much more gold, and their goal is to eventually have ATMs around the world where you can convert your coins to...(not sure). They are working on setting up their own pool for this coin, but it won't be ready for a few weeks or so. They think there is a giant mining rig using an estimated $7k of electricity per day, mining 21% of all INNcoin at this time... but they will only support their wallet and pool... and this is why they haven't released the github. They said the ledger has already been released.

http://4thjulycoin.com/ (http://4thjulycoin.com/)

Does that mean we should wait for the new coin backed by large amounts of Gold, or is there a chance that this coin can gain value exponentially greater than the gold backing it?

Mate - there is a pool  and noone is hiding it  :  inn.hash.sx  . It is our teams pool we made ourselves , and we bring it to the community a week or more ago.......!
It is not "giant one" - current pool speed is 290 mh/s  @ 7.44 difficulty -  it is nothing for a X11 algo. Everyone is welcome to mine on it - there is not even a fee  ;)

Follow that link : http://4thjulycoin.com/
Make a registration ...etc.
Remember ...not a single CryptoCoin is baked with anything /even Bitcoin/ ,  but ppl's trust !
The only one is INNcoin .

Well I am 1674.001 INNcoins into the mining process at roughly 95k hashes per second.  I started mining it ever since BenSwann.com announced it via their newsletter on July 22.  So far that is exactly 1 month of farming almost completely non-stop on an AMD Phenom II x6 which is 100% utilized with the Anthem Vault windows mining client (on Win 7 pro).

i do mining this coin use hd7950 up to 3,6M/s
my wallet is online and synced, my coins are transfered every 50coins into this wallet...

why i can´t see any ballance of this coin or gold into anthemvaultsite?

I believe you have to purchase some gold.  I haven't tried it yet, but after some more mining I will be making a purchase and will ask about redeeming my INN as part of the purchase.

UPDATE:  I emailed Anthem asking about how to claim gold with INN, and they wrote me back to explain that you have to mine 100,000 coins before turning them in for a gram of gold.  I am past the 25% mark and will keep mining.  :-)

1 gram gold bar   =   $41.15

Source:
http://www.goldgrambars.com/

How much does it cost to mine 100,000 coins in term of electricity, hosting and equipments?

At my rate it would seem to take 5.091241694 years if i continue to average 54 INN per day on a single computer running ~98k hash / sec

At least the difficulty dropped to around 1, which is letting me snag a block about every 15 minutes on average.

Traded to Anthem for gold stored in their vault.  Small-scale test, but great to have a coin backed by something of real value.  I am getting close to enough to trade in my INN for a gram of gold.    ;D

Have you read the first page of this thread?  Here is what my steps were thus far:  I read what was here to know what was going on, opened a free account with Anthem Vault which allows you to get the INNcoin wallet and started mining.  After mining for a while, I asked the company for clarification about trading in the coins.  After you mine 100,000 INN you trade them in for a gram of gold.  The value of your INN depends on the current price of a gram of gold.  I hope that helps..

Is a block a single INNcoin or is that a group of 48?  I ask because my system seems to be mining them in groups of 48INNcoin per transaction.  So far I have 2682.001 with 96INN waiting to mature.

Yes, a block equals 48 INN.

I started about a month and a half ago, and am at 135000. When I contacted Anthem, they said to reach 100,000 INN then call for instructions to exchange them for a gram of gold.  I had not noticed the connection thing, as I was just watching the difficulty vary a bit.

Where is the message displayed?  I've never seen it.   Is this a wallet error or from the miner?  You could always install another wallet on a different machine and transfer the coins between addresses to see if they transfer ok.

I have not seen this either.  Is your wallet this version?  v0.8.6.5
Have you tried to stop mining, close the wallet and after a minute or two, restart the wallet to see if the error goes away?
NOTE:  You should definitely backup your wallet before trying anything.

Been done a bunch of times, always failed.

Here's the latest, something called MidasCoin:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=784286.300 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=784286.300)

They say they'll give you a set amount of gold per coin no matter what.  On Bittrex the price is crashing.  To meet their promise they'd have to buy extra gold and send it to people for worthless MidasCoins.  Good luck with that.

Gotta love the haters.   More coin for me.   All I know is the gold in my vault is increasing for less than the cost of each gram.   Hard to complain.  ;D  I can't wait to see what they do with the coins or what the next blockchain will be like if they just scrap this one.  When I transfered  the other day Josh at AV indicated they are working with some exchanges now.

Another friend is looking at BIG coin.   Which is using Gold, Silver and Copper as backing.  I haven't looked into it yet.  Though he has a couple Antminer S3s for his rigs.   I'm stuck with a GPU for now.

Exactly. More for the rest of us. I have 2 grams in their vault, and after speaking with a very helpful person there, I am happy to share that they are looking at a larger gold-backed coin effort in the near future. Not definite, but based upon the success of this one, it is quite likely.

I've been mining for a good many weeks, but today it crapped out and won't reconnect to the network. Does anyone know whether a client update is required or something else funny is going on?

I can still get the original client from hxxtp://w ww.a nthemvault.com/media/uploads/inncoin-0.8.6.5a-win32-setup.exe, but the debug log says that it keeps trying to connect and times out.

Gold back Cryptocurrency eh? i've scouted the forums and posts here, i have yet to see what each coin is worth in gold, and how much gold does the owner have to share out?

Oops, let me read this website..

10 million coins to be mined/ Each coin is docked by 100,000th of a gram 10,000,000X 0.000001 = 10 grams. todays price for that 10 grams: 388.19 USD. TOTAL
If these coins become more value then the 10 grams its "Back" by, then is only a scam

wow, i have more then that from recycling gold off motherboards and a boredom killer..

all i can say is smells like a scam..

Hell, if i got that calculation wrong, 100g, that only 3881.90USD fethercoin is worth more than that 0.0000004USCents per coin? Fether is going for 0.014USCents and it can change price.

Hi. You just didn't read enough of the thread to get the whole story here. I already turned in 200k INN for 2 grams of gold in Anthem's vault, so definitely not a scam. The small amount of coins is due to this being a test run to see if there is enough interest for a larger coin amount in the near future. From what I was told by an Anthem rep when I turned in my INN coins, we will almost certainly see a bigger coin amount and possibly multiple gold, silver, etc. assets for coin backing.

~$80 in gold eh?
now i could be a troll and go "Pic or never happened!"

but alright, you do get 1g gold back for 100K of coins mined, still, there has to ether be more gold added to be worth more, or its not going to go anywhere. the coins cannot have any more value then gold its backed by, if it gets on exchanges and the prices go up, more then 0.0000004USCents per coin, over the price of gold? then what? lest say each coin is worth 0.0000008USCents per coin, that $80 for 1 gram of gold thats worth $40, guess what, i want my $80 worth of gold! gimmie 2grams, braking the 100K coins per 1gram it would be worth 2g for ever 100K coins.

This make the coin Centralised, the person who has hold of the gold, owns 100%(make that 98% less now, since you have 2grams) of the shares of the coins. then what happens when the gold all divided up? what is the point of the hashing? are you going to give me the transaction fees in gold? is there even transaction fees on this blockchain? if there is none, whats the point of mining it after?? is the person who originally started the coin going to pay me? why didn't the creator setup coins to buy, and they are virtual tokens to the gold? Hell, isn't the banks doing that already?

now, hypothetical question: i have a gold bar (10oz), i want coins for it, can i exchange it for these coins?? or do i go else where and get BTC for it?
Can i add in another 100g, making me a 50% share holder on this coin? till people mine my gold up and claim it?(then what for me? what do i get out of it.. hell, what does the owner get out of giving out gold to the miners? are they able to resell the coins back to the public and get gold/money back?)

i hate to kill it on you (if i even damaged your faith in the coin), but i cant wrap my head around the concept of this coin

I think Anthem simply wanted me to turn in my coins, then put USD into buying more gold and maybe silver through them.  I want to see if they really give this a bigger scope on the crypto side. You have good points about centralization and all, but at least these coins have value compared to many crap coins that I mined and got nada out of. Gold could (longshot) go past $2000 per ounce, which would nearly double the value of my 2 grams of gold, right?  :-)

that is correct, 1g of gold could be worth $2k 500x its original value, same with silver, but i don't see the long term value in the coin, and as you said the others are just crap clones of clones with more bells and whistles.

i'd like to see a white paper on how this will work, there is a few holes that need filling

@AJRGale    Mate you take things very serious here .......  :)  Let's see the facts :

1. There is someone who claimed his reward for 2 grams , and received it - most important imo.
2. Wallet , network , blockchain  all works perfect .
3. Not enough info for the coin - PR etc  - it is experimental as i know .
4. Not some scam coin with 2h made website and logo.
5. No "whale"  P&D group behind it  - opposite  Real Gold Dealer with good reputation.

So , i think the community needs more coins like this one - not like the drama queens like pr0m , Dan etc .....
Who knows if they will not change the reward ?!?

And hey  - is there some crypto-coin backed rly by smth ?   even the BTC

Cheers

look at all the other scam coins:

1: someone cashed their coins in
2: all show working wallets, network, blockchain
3: websites that have been link with "hxxtp://w ww.a nthemvault.com/..." that set off my alarm bells, 2 "news" sites quoting the coin, same thing, no white paper like the others, oh boy even *colour*coin had a white paper. experimental umm, means pre-mined before release?
4: all scam coins throw all excuses up for down sites, then pay someone 0.5btc to make a nice looking site.
5: you cant p&d this coin, it should be fixed to the gold price, as i mentioned, what happens when all the gold bound to this coin is claimed? what's the coin worth then?

im not saying stop mining, in fact, mine as hard as you can, claim that gold up!
i would do the same if there was shown evidence of claimed gold

its out as experimental yes? its not its official release yes?
so if its released now with the "experimental" blockchain, guess what, its been released already mined, aka Pre-mined. mined before release.
call the experiment complete, everything works out? new blockchain, from a new genesis block, old coins void. then it won't be called a pre-mined coin.

i see what this is now.. Anthem Vault, a place where you can buy/sell gold and silver, had a free 100g of gold on hand, and decided to get into the crypto scene, quoted 100 1g pieces of gold for every 100k coins mined as a reward if they hand the coins in.
i don't think them coins would be pushed back onto the market/public, once all 100g is taken up, and in your profile of anthem vault (to trade at their site, or take home?)

Its just a complex Advertisement for the vault site! I don't think they will reissue the coins to the public once all the 100g of gold is taken up. they may make a new coin for some new amount or another metal, but its not for the long term.

Someone Please prove me wrong by showing me something like a white paper to clarify what they are really doing.

aka i'll take it back that its a scam coin, no one is going to lose out on it. its just an.. ad-coin? advertisement crypto currency?
so Mine up kids! mine up till your hearts content, Bask in the glory of the gold! it will only last for a short time!

much miners, many coins, wow...

Question one: what is going to happen when its mined up?
Question two: will there be any more gold added to this coin?
Question three: why is there only 1 pool? that's more then 50% of the network, we all know that is coin killer, ask the devs of Fethercoin when it happened to them.
Question four: what happens to the coins once they are been used to claimed the gold? are they destroyed?
Question five: who or what pays for the transaction fees?

just remember, the coin is only worth the gold..

I think the rest of the questions at this time are moot.   You pretty much hit the nail on the head.   This is an ad-coin at the moment.   Nothing more than a 100gram marketing experiment.      Good thing for those of us mining, is we are mining real gold and doing it for less than the gold costs.    The other good part is gold is currently undervalued compared to the inflated us dollar.

While this is a very low cost marketing campaign (less than $4k).   It's fun to mine and to know you have some gold.   I can do an ACH cash out of my vault at any time.   The buy and sell process is very easy.

I don't think they will reissue the coins.  Though they could, but the value would have to go up a large amount.  It may depend on how many coins they buy back.   If there are many still floating around it wouldn't be good to try and resale at higher value as they would be backing the gold asset it is tied to.  But if they buy them all up, they could easily use it as a preminned gold exchange and then the marketing experiment worked two fold.  Advertising and mining of an asset.   There is definitely no scam here as they have been open on this being a small marketing campaign back by a small amount of gold.

Just finishing my 2nd 100k coins this week.   I also have gold and silver in the vault that I purchased (so marketing worked on me as well).

I am not privy to the details, but since mining for INN will continue until sometime this June, I would expect a new wallet for Hayek coin.  I logged in to Anthem Vault yesterday and I did see a button for transferring to Hayek. Clicking on it now brings up a window about the new coin coming this month.

If I see an ANN or other thread for Hayek coin, I will be sure to add a link here.

The company backing the coin, anthemvault.com, has been around for decades in the gold and silver trade. Check out the link from businesswire about the developers for the coin (http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20140716005136/en/Newnote-Financial-%E2%80%93-Newnote%E2%80%99s-Revenue-Generating-Virtual).

You do have to open an account on anthemvault.com, which is free, and then contact them once you have more than 100,000 coins to trade for a gram of gold.

"Gold backed currency" has always worked so well in the past.  I know it seems like impossible to verify all the gold would be available for everybody at all times but usually the players involved in these things have been totally honest and had the best interest of the currency holder at heart.

You can still solo mine as difficulty is low.  That is what I am doing.  Make sure to use the id/password provided in the conf file if you solo mine.

I am checking weekly for the launch of their hayek coin and will post here when I see that it has launched.

5/8/15 Update:  It looks like Hayek coin is active but you have to request for Anthem to provide you with a wallet. I put in a request and am waiting for a response.

5/13/15 Update:  Here is how it works. You receive a Hayek coin wallet address on the Anthem Vault website. This is NOT a POW (mineable) coin. If you have gold in their vault you will be able to turn it into Hayek coins, with the ratio being 1 Hayek coin equals 1 gram of gold. As I understand it, the true value of Hayek coin will be the ability to make purchases with your gold, without having to have your gold physically in hand. This is assuming that Hayek coin becomes well established and accepted as payment as widely as Bitcoin. As the value of gold is ever-changing, so too is the value of a Hayek coin, but you can always turn your Hayek coins back into gold in the Anthem Vault if you wish. There is also mention of future coins for other precious metals being added.

If it's a blockchain without POW, how a transaction is confirmed? Who can create and record new blocks? Is it a "colored" coin or having its own block chain? Hayek FAQ is empty... https://www.anthemvault.com/faq/hayek/

May I ask how the claim process works? I created an account at anthemvault.com, but can't find any information, except a link to download the miner.

I am pooling resources with my mates to hopefully come up with 100K INN before they're all gone in a couple weeks. I understood that this will get us a whole one gram of gold. Can we actually take delivery of the physical metal? It's not much, but would be interesting.

Many thanks.

I am pooling resources with my mates to hopefully come up with 100K INN before they're all gone in a couple weeks. I understood that this will get us a whole one gram of gold. Can we actually take delivery of the physical metal? It's not much, but would be interesting.

Many thanks.

When you have 100k INN, contact Anthem requesting an INN address to send the coins to them with. The biggest chunk I have been able to send is 25k at a time, so I send four chunks of 25k, then email Anthem that I have sent them. I always include the transaction IDs so that they can verify receiving them. Once verified, the gram of gold is placed into your account. Can you take physical delivery? I am not sure if they have a minimum amount for that. I hope I have been some help.

Excellent, thanks. I believe we'll make it to 100K if we have till July 4, which I assume is the date by which all coins will be mined. Unfortunately, the global hash rate and difficulty have been rather high recently, so maybe a bunch of other people are trying a final push like we are.

Yes, let's mine this out. I am solo mining at about 6 Mhash and getting a block every few minutes at this difficulty. I am debating whether or not I should convert a few of my grams of gold to their Hayekcoin.

That's awfully high, given that the hash rate has been around 3 MH/s to 16 MH/s recently. I guess you were pretty much the whole network sometimes. What rig do you have to get this kind of rate?

The most we could muster up was around 1.7 MH/s, but it's now a fraction of that, since a couple members have been forced to discontinue participation. My crappy old GTX rig produced only around 0.3 MH/s at best.

I got 2.5Mhash+ per one single 7950 so that is not hard to achieve. However my miner stopped working a few days back and I didn't check on it until now. I'm debating whether to cash them out or just hold them in my local wallet and see what happens.

Someone please check my 'rithmetick, but it appears the 10M coin limit will be reached today in a matter of hours.

Rewards are decreased every 21900 blocks according to this schedule: { 50,48,45,42,40,39,37,35,34,32,30,25 }. Thus, there are 21900*12=262800 total blocks. As of now, 262600 blocks have been mined, so only 200 remain. Given the 2-minute target per block, we have about 400 minutes left.

Incidentally, the number of coins should be 21900*(50+48+45+42+40+39+37+35+34+32+30+25)=10008300, which is a bit more than 10M, or am I off?

Yeah, blocks mined do not show in my wallet, so it appears to be mined out.

I've got a little over 7000 INNcoin left over if anybody can use them to reach their next 100k. Let me know how many you need. First come first serve.

That's pretty nice of you but don't forget to leave a few coins for transaction fees if you want to keep the 100K+   :)

I'm holding to all my coins, don't see the point of getting a few grams of gold

Brian, I am just curious.. since this was a test by Anthem Vault to gauge interest, why would INN coins have any value beyond turning them in for gold in Anthem Vault. I have a final amount less than 100k that I mined before POW ended, so I will also be giving them away unless I see a reason to hang onto them. Thoughts?

Well, we have a couple options:

1. Convert the coins to gold and have them hosted for a fee or have it shipped out.
2. Hold on to the coins and hope they will become rare since the majority of them are being held by Anthem.

Don't know but I'm holding maybe I'm used to being a bad holder of useless coins  ;)

Thanks, I contacted them a couple days ago and sent 4 installments of 25K to the address they gave. Can I ask how long it took to credit your account? I have not received a reply or credit from them yet, as far as I can see.
