I confirm that I am the SFR Dev that will be contributing to development of VvXx. The VvXx community reached out saying they wanted to revive the coin. I will be including a bit of SFR Tech in it. This coin had potential but the dev turned out to be a scammer.

I posted about this shitcoin yesterday on the DD thread.  Then some clown bought up 2/3 or so of the total supple on C-cex for like 2 btc.  I guess now he is trying to convince people to buy the coins he bought so he can profit by dumping them on others.  Don't fall for this shit.

Also I am a strong supporter of SaffronCoin, and because of the trust and confidence in SFR's dev, I am going to look into this coin. But I might need a little more information before investing :) Consider Sync coin, low supply, accumulated for months, and for all intensive purposes it was dead; but, then the coin was taken over by someone who was dedicated to the coin's future and who actually had a use case for the coin.

People need to calm down and wait to see what the future developments actually are before making any accusations or investing. People who are investing now are taking a risk because they don't have all the information, so if you're not confident or are skeptical of the coin, just wait :) If anyone is fudding the thread while buying up the coin on ccex, then you sir are a complete asshole and a disgrace to the beauty that is human decency.

Do the FUD'sters even do any research before opening their mouths?  How could you bad mouth the SFR devs?  They have done nothing but awesome, consistent work with SFR.  Constant development, great communication, attention to details and still working on big picture stuff in India for the coin.  I'll stand behind the SFR devs until they prove otherwise.

To clarify again, I have been requested to be the main developer for VvXx by this community. I will be including a bit of SFR Tech. I will be implementing a changed layout similar to SFR and a few features and would have a release for u guys in a few days.

I have read some posts that some guys have invested in this just because of me. Guys, though i appreciate it, treat this coin like any other coin. Invest if you feel the devs and the community are delivering.

To clarify more, I am the only dev at present working on this. I will continue to support the coin. Gordon and others will be bringin more devs later but i will remain the main dev. As long as there is a community built and there is passion for this coin, i will continue to support it no matter how long.
I only took up this coin because i believe these guys about reviving it.

This isn't a scam.  Wouldn't make any sense.  The dump was large in the context of an illiquid market and total coin supply. Maybe 100k coins but couldnt have been more than 8 BTC cash out.  Why would the dev risk his reputation that was built over months and months with SFR for a few BTC.  Maybe if we were over 100k sats on the price and and they dumped 100k coins.  This was someone who bought up a bunch of coins early on or before the takeover and wanted to make a quick buck.  Amateur move if you ask me.  I'll be laughing when this coin is over 100k.

Couple BTC take us back up to 20k sats.  Comes with the territory of a new coin (takeover) with little liquidity and being on CCEX.

Obviously you're not familiar with the great reputation that the Saffron Dev has. He wouldn't tarnish that for a measly 10 or so BTC.

That being said, those that mined this coin from the start and just want to get their money back surely may dump. The dumping probably isn't over, but once that gets worked out this coin can go to new heights.

The SFR dev has assured of his help, I don't see a reason why this coin will not be taken care of in the long term. Good thing that some big holders dumped. Now it is more distributed and has a more secure future.

Why have you gone for that logo? I thought Saffron dev stated name was crap and needed to be changed.  If you want to get the community confidence a poll on name change might be a good start.

You realize volume include all trades, right? While that was certainly a nasty dump, the total volume during that reporting period does not mean someone dumped that exact number of coins. Other trades are included in that number.

In any case, crypto markets sure are wild. Let's see what these guys can do and what the market thinks. Money speaks louder than words in this world. I'm not too surprised that it's already recovering pretty well, despite the violence of that flash dump.

Good luck with this challenge, devs, and keep up the hard work. I'm going to keep an eye on this one, especially considering the team behind it now.

Heres a New name for the coin. I thought of.  --->  Zephyr pronounced "Ze-fur" no coin at the end. Say it outloud to yourself a few times and you will like it.

Just came on and saw that dump. Looks like someone had 1/3 supply. I have read some posts where some of you are pinning this on me. Let me tell you, this is not the way I or my team work. I took up this coin to see it grow from ashes.
Those that don't know me and are very quick to pass judgements, hop into the IRC channel #sfrcoin and have a chat with everyone.
I have done many projects related to crypto since the past few months and am currently even developing some other projects too. This is the first time i have felt a -ve effect and non-professionalism probably because this is the first time I have contributed in reviving a coin.
I don't disclose my participation in other projects and this is the first time I have done it. I only accepted for the VvXx community to disclose my identity to prove legitimacy to this coin. I never expected it to backfire on me. Only wanted to help, support and contribute.

Now what's done is done. Looking at the bright side, there is even distribution now. I will be contributing to the development of VvXxcoin. I will see it through as long as there is active community and support for the coin. Gordon is the main guy behind this coin.
I can see the community is slowly growing. The new logo looks even better.
I want to see this coin succeed. If i feel this coin is growing, then i will implement a lot of SFR Tech in it. I will have my team integrate VvXx in the Saffron PeerMarket too if this coin reaches good Mcap.
I am already working on a release. Will update u with shots on what is going on.

I am usually quite busy these days but keep updating myself with updates. I am really surprised that SFR Dev has to clarify himself again and again. He has earned so much respect by the work he has done. I totally trust him on anything, even if he says he is behind any trash coin, I am certain about the success of that coin. Even if some bag holders wanted to pump it and dump it, I don't care because I am only here because of SFR Dev. If he says he will develop it, then he will. This coin may  face some more dumps as the price was too low and currently the distribution is uneven but it will grow eventually.  I know this guy since start of SFR and seen him working so hard without asking anything. He deserves to be respected, please don't question his integrity at least.

That's honestly the best idea... For those that have been wondering, we will not be listing this coin because of inconsistencies found in the code base.  I want to make this very clear, this is not sfrdevs doing... this was before he came on board.  To clarify, we contracted a trusted dev, Earlz, to help look at the code base and these are some of our findings.

VXX looks to be purposefully malicious coin, most likely designed to scam users for a quick buck.

The source code has been changed sometime recently to cover some of the tracks of the exploit contained within it. Thus, this is why if you compile the coin from source today, it won't sync with the binary wallets. On the github, you'll notice the code was created on August 7th. however, the code was released on the 6th. Pools/Exchanges that downloaded this code on day 1 probably have different code from the code that is currently uploaded.

The exact exploit is similar to MagicCoin. Basically, when miners mine a new block, there is no rule enforcing that they are mining the correct amount of coins. They can mine however many coins they wish.

Along with this exploit, there were some malicious changes which attempted to hide this exploit. Basically, it'd show every block mined as only having mined 100 coins, along with every transaction. This caused some block explorers to show incorrect data, along with the RPC interface.

I've spoken to SFR dev who assures me he is fixing these problems, but due to the way the coin was launched and the lack of trust I personally have with the state of the blockchain, I highly doubt we will be listing the coin.

Yes this coin had some serious malicious code in it. Which explains that big dump where someone had 1/3 of supply. After checking the scam code Richie pointed out, this coin dev was indeed looking for a quick buck. The scam code was added after the release and after c-cex added it to their exchange.
So initially it looked legit.
I am frustrated with this shitty scam and just feel like i have wasted a lot of my time. Most of u put money just because of my name. If i back out, you might lose ur money. So just because of that reason, i am trying to fix the code. I have already fixed a few bits. I have requested Earlz who analyzed this code to help me in cleaning the scam code.

If he obliges and we are able to clean everything well, we can get this back on track.

if dev resolve the problem, bittrex can list the coin!

Update on the block explorer:

Investigation by @cuttlefish_btc shows block 29 had an output of 600,000 coins, 887,900 coins total, based on his db query.

Not that bad, we are still extremely undervalued now that we know the real supply.

But we should make sure where that premine has gone, if it has been sold and, if we can, froze it or disable it.

The thread should be changed to reflect the real amount of coins after investigation to not mislead new investors.

Even with that amount with the dev we have on board min target price is 30k+ so don't panic.

SFRdev is leaving for BitcoinExpo in China within the next 1-2 hours.

We are still trying to make a blockexplorer Provenceday it's the most important.

After that we will see if we keep old blockchain or make a new one, but most probably we will keep the old one, change the name and ticker and develop on it.

But we need to wait for SFRdev to come back.

Wallet is working but don't sync, don't send coins to it until it's solved or just some test coin like i did.

There is a block explorer in the wallet that's cool. Ok it's non functional but if we get it working that's a nice little feature to have.

Ok now it's working, for it to sync you need to add nodes :

Create a text file and paste this inside :

then rename the file + extension VvXx.conf and place it in your c:/users/username/appdata/roaming/VvXx folder and wallet should sync.

Ok here are the full instructions to get the windows wallet to work and sync correctly :

1) First download the fixed wallet here : http://saffroncoin.com/vvxxcoin-wallet-windows-1.0.zip

(The one in the thread was lacking DLL's, i'll ask Gordon to change the link ASAP)

2) This wallet will now open but gives 2 kinds of errors :

a) It won't sync
b) If you close it and reopen it you will have "Runtime error" and it will close.

To fix that you need to download the correct blockchain which also contains the right nodes :

After that you should have no more runtime errors and wallet should sync properly.

Please stacke a bit of your coins (amount doesn't matter, just keep wallet open with some coins) to keep the network healthy.

At current price that might seems few, but with less than 900k coin in circulation, this could easily be worth 1.2 BTC at 20k sat (easy target with SFR dev on board and that amount total.)

It's worth the gamble if you ask me, if I had graphic design talents I would get in for sure.

SFR dev will be back on 22th september so around this date we can expect further updates regarding the future of the coin + he needs to change the name in the code/wallet/exchanges to make it official.

Cryptocuttlefish is working on the block explorer + rich list right now, and we are having the logo contest in the meanwhile. (If you know designers that might be interested please share the contest thread)

Once the coin will have changed name and logo there will be certainly new social media accounts created for it by Gordon to keep the investors updated on the Dev projects. Expect good stuff but not overnight.

Well said. SFR dev is the best thing that has happened to this coin. He has already produced a solid coin that has been traded steadily for months and now he has a new one with much less totat supply. I bet he can take this to 50k if he wants to and has community support. I think it's time to support and buy some. At the end, everything is a gamble.

Once the official relaunch is finished today everybody should start messaging bittrex and other exchanges to add us , also we should promote on twitter , if everybody knew about this coin many people would be buying due to the sfr dev

Well said, right now buying this coin at current price is insanely hard (can take a week to get some) and 50k with less than a million supply and SFR dev is realistic. And we are talking about x20 from actual price.

Of course it's realistic. If this coin started with SFR Dev and his roadmap, it would have been trading now at 15k just from that. It's just that the original dev bailed that scares people. So what? A copy/paste shithead left. That's good news. 3k is also good news.

Yeah, really nice wallet. Can't wait to see what the dev can do with this coin. I made a mistake and didn't believe in SFR back then and sold for pennies. This time i'll get X10 for sure! Keep it up jackals.

Apparently the block check of block 28 can't be skipped since it was a malicious block. The blockchain should be clean now but those that use wallet for first time will get syncing problems at block 28.  The only way to pass that is to provide a set of blocks along with the wallet download so users can paste that into the blockchain directory. That will get the wallet to sync well and be updated with latest block. A text file with instructions for this will be provided with the wallet download.
