Why would anyone want such a thing? we have the main wallets for that right? putting a amount on your mobile wich is big enough to generate a nice stake doesnt make sense to me, and isnt safe at all in my opinion... Well 2 exchanges on day one ...even small ones is good. We of course hope to be on the higher volume exchanges before too long. You can help by tweeting out to @bittrexexchange and

Someone mined 30 additional blocks before the launch announcement. It's premined whether you own it or not. For instance, look at block 20 (http://explorer.x11-x13-pool.org:3003/api/getblock?hash=0000003b322698176c34312406089e6785a1b511572e10e0c389d7e8e6d6f1a5). It was mined at timestamp 1412657535, or Tue, 07 Oct 2014 04:52:15 GMT... Now look at the time the ANN was posted. October 07, 2014, 04:53:01 AM (in GMT).

Even if you didn't premine it, someone did.

The first thing I would like is an answer to the question of who has the coins?  It had to be someone with access to the repo.  I got the impression from the way the bounties were paid out that you are the voice of WhistleCoin, not the coder.  

If I had to make a guess about what happened, I would say the dev uploaded the code to the github, told you it was ready to go and post the announcement, then started instamining before the pools were ready.  30 blocks, 30 minutes give or take.  Seems about right.

Now, with that being said...those 30 blocks only total less than .5% of the total POW supply, so it's really not THAT much of a big deal.  If the dev has the coins, you should just update the OP stating the true premine amount, which would be close to .8%

I find a lot of this FUD as nonsense, but when a dev claims they have a great coin, they are a great dev that has been around for a while, etc.,
but then starts his coin with a newbie account, that leads to credibility problems. So I can see why people want a POD. If a dev is really great,
he will have a full or senior member status and be proud to show that it is his coin (ex. QTL ANN, dev is Sr. Member and did not make up a new account).  I hope the dev reveals himself or gets a POD because I mined a few coins and would like to see it succeed.

Its not unusual for a team to use a new account name for a coin launch and we ask that the community bear with us through mining and then we will address all the concerns. Our team actually mines with you on a popular pool and you know us. We did also notice that you couldn't resist shamelessly plugging QTL for whom you are a paid promoter while on our coin thread and that may have been your reason for posting here.Also QTL took some time after launch to develop as you know. We believe that producing results is the sign of a good team and the coin isn't even out of POW yet so as a three day old coin we are right on track and working behind the scenes on our production.

Actually that was just some advice on why people here are FUDing whistle here. I was just saying people wanting a POD and not a newbie dev account gives them more confidence in investing or mining the coin. And I wasn't plugging QTL, I only received a bounty months ago for helping them. It is just an example of the many coin teams I have helped where the dev account was not a newbie and it gave the community confidence.  It seems like you are doing good work, the nethash is very high, and the price is going up today, so I'll be mining it!

I have a good feeling about this coin.
It seems very promising. If i understand correctly, there will be about 20 million coins when pow ends. The roadmap seems promising and the dev seems communicative and friendly.

Reminds me a lot of the ETHAN pump. No one saw it coming, no one believed it. I'm in from 125 sats, already sold some at 500 and still holding some. Never thought this coin would go far so I'm surprised :D

Hey, how do this coin support whistle blowers?  Kind of random to find it.  I'm a whistle blower in the medical industry.  lol

We have a few things in the works. Our aim is to develop a suite of privacy tools to aid whistle blowers around the world. Those people who expose corruption to benefit the rest of us across all industries, because its the right thing to do,  need support and methods to do so. OK POW mining is over we are past block 7200 and have had a perfect and flawless transition to POS. Go stake your WSTL and we will be posting some updated info shortly. The total coin count at the end of POW mining is "moneysupply" : 18153887.76597726 . There were fewer coins minted than projected due to the POS starting at block 6000 so that's a good thing. Trading and volume has been steady and strong at Bittrex exchange and has topped 106BTC over the last 24 hrs. Blow The Whistle!

What do you offer this person to help get his message out and the coin fairly investigated?

If you run off of hearsay and throw around smear campaigns it will just ruin this coin's reputation and hamstring the operation you want to start.

Well a ponzi scheme is harder to prove than say a malicious code, a hidden premine or a virus until after the ponzi falls apart. So unless the person blowing the whistle was part of the team or had verifiable information it would be very difficult to help them.

Well, I have an interesting case for you.  There's this coin called QBK.  Its dev is a romanian loan shark.  First 'proof of baghold' coin.  They say they give 50% of their monthly profits split up to their coin's bag holders.

They are associated with a company http://u-ci.org/ - listed as a "Grand Founder".  This website claims to be a Lebanese "crowd sourced funding" company that hosts 3 egregiously high price projects that look highly suspect.  They use ampersands while asking for 25 million dollars, which is very unprofessional.  They also have a UCI coin.

I smell fish.

I like the idea of this coin, obviously most coins these days start only differentiated by their initial marketing and hype. Of which, this coin really doesn't have much of.. Still, its a novel idea, should really try make something of it guys!

OK we have just deleted several posts from a fudder. I said it earlier we will not tolerate FUD. Please open you own thread if you want to we encourage you to do so. In the previous posts the fudder was posting random parts of a perfectly normal debug.log..  and claiming there was something afoul. We will delete all FUD especially nonsense . I think rich list does not work properly.
I sent a transaction to my windows wallet and next I sent half of it to bittrex and next spent some from bitrex to windows wallet again.
But it only shows last transaction in rich list for my WSTL account and not my total balance.

Make sure to back up your wallet.dat somewhere safe (as you should always do).  This wallet update is NOT MANDATORY. We will release a full wallet with graphics soon.
You need to have 2fa enabled to trade on Bittrex. You can however see the public data such as the order book and the market history without 2fa enabled. To trade enable 2fa get your api key and secret key from Bittrex and input them into the settings on the trade tab in the wallet.

so on any coin the richlists don't update in realtime.

Last week this coin was at the top of Bittrex and trading @ 450-500 sat.

Now, it's trading under 100 sat and barely touched 150 even with the updates and frequent activity of the dev.

I assure you the coin is not dead.  The development team is online every day and very talkitave in IRC. The reason for such a low price is because of dumpers. People these days who come early to a coin launch just want to make a razor thin profit by dumping super early.

I am the same guy who launched the WISE ICO. That didn't pan out. Not enough interested people. Really it was a mixed blessing. The plan was solid but the investment avenues we were looking at started falling like a house of cards. Other investments like hashlets and rental hardware became less profitable. The coin would have survived it but the profitability would have been so significantly reduced the project would have not met the target minimum projections for profit. Making it impossible to deliver what we promised. I take responsibility for my failed projects unlike most developers.

As for the 3 stars. The guy has some personal info. If he wanted to find me i don't think it would be an issue. There is just some information i am not going to give a random person on the Internet. This coin also really did not need proof of developer anyways. The premine we took was very small and has been slowly reduced paying bounties and contest winners/giveaways/etc. We did not do an ICO/IPO phase. Most of the people in the community know the guys on the project. I figured i would do a 3 star proof of dev to show that im here and this is me.

We will be announcing the logo contest winner later today in fact. The logo has been chosen. ;D

We have had a few community members request we set up Whistle coin to store Whistle Blower information and documents on the block chain. In this way documents could be safely stored and could never be taken down etc.  We want to discuss this with the community.While we had discussed this early on in the planning for Whistle Coin,we had decided that this is not the direction we would take for a couple of reasons. If you have ever visited the wikileaks website, for instance, you would know that some Whistle Blowers have documents that are hundreds of pages long. The block chain , while it certainly could be used to store a record or be used to keep a time stamp of an event, is not best suited to store hundreds of documents. So we decided that would not be the direction to take Whistle Coin, to best serve that purpose, since there are sites that are already able to serve that need. But we thank these community members and wish to hear all of your ideas.
    We have begun work on the preliminary website setup and will be able to set up some features on it to aid Whistle Blowers with a new outlet for disclosures. Development continues on multiple fronts at the same time.

Since we save it, you only need to worry about it if the github location changes. In all other cases, just letting us know we need to upgrade is enough!

Today the Whistle Blower of the day goes to Earlz a BCT member for Blowing the Whistle on Adamantium Coin. ADMT.  The coin dev placed an exploitative premine in the code that was even hidden from block explorers. This 20mil premine would have caused a lot of loss when he dumped on the markets.  Bravo to Earlz for his code review and exposing this coin scam early. Some times the scams are right in our own back yard as is the case today.   BLOW YOUR WHISTLE !!

Yes. I deleted the last 3 posts. I ask the community to step up and help and i get slapped in the face and told to quit begging.  Obviously the only thing people care about is the price of the coin. Since all the community can do is bitch, whine, and bash the dev team why should we continue wasting money to run it?

All the community wants to do is mine, dump, and complain when their dumping kills the price. I'm disappointed in the community. Nobody wants to help make the crypto world a better place. All you care about is your money.

I would like to give another plug to Earlz. I highly encourage you not to mine a coin unless he has checked the code. He seems quite knowlegable about coding, coins, etc and rates the coins with his personal system.

Just look at bittrex. The whistle market will be removed 14 november because of no trade and no interest. I think you messed up.

You don't need to give up. It says it will stay if it gets an average of 0.2 btc volume a day for the 7 days before 14th.
So we can just buy from our selfs.

Also i think its a good idea to rebrand whistlecoin into a new better brand.

A friend of mine joined the project yesterday. Hes working in the same German IT company like me and has much coding skills and ideas for the future of this coin. We decided to set the release date to 15.12.2014 for the new brand and full working anon-trade-wallet with anon text and file transfer. If we can handle it till than, there will be more.

You were never interested in whistleblowing in the first place and were just trying to build hype.

I think we should do the rebranding first though and we contact Bittrex about changing the name and trading symbol.
It will really boost the coin.
Also its better if we do the rebranding now before someone takes the idea.

We choosed the name BTCC (Bitcurrency) for the coin, if this is ok for the community(?). If we want to do the rebrand before the new wallets will be released at mid December than we need the agreement and help of the original Whistlecoin dev because he created the old wallet. meh i liked the idea of the whistleblower wall of shame better. i was looking at confessioncoin where you can leave messages in the blockchain annonymously, would be a great way to report the scamming fucks without any reprocussions. but whatever its your coin you guys do what you want, im down either way.

read the BTCR thread, the swap has been long since over and all the extra coins were burnt. as someone stated if you wouldn't have been an asshole we probably would have pitched in and gave you some but since you've chosen the asshole route and are blaming other people for your lack of attention I don't think there's very much chance of that happening
