7 days of PoW for 2% of the coins.

Even if only 10 GH/s worth of hardware will be thrown at this crap, the cost of producing 1 coin will be roughly around 0.001 BTC. That would translate into 196 BTC for the ICO just to even match it.

There is just one guy behind this coin (me) but a lot of people are being paid to work on it, this includes the devs that are finishing up the marketplace(s) and the twitter guys that will be in charge of marketing later on.

We also have a designer whose work is pretty much done.
About usability/graphics/general, I think we have made pretty clear our goal and our next moves when we launched the roadmap yesterday and the questionmark image is just a teaser to get people excited and to show you guys that there is more to come, can't give it all right away.

Seems like you actually want to pursue this and in that case some kind of proof of developer would be needed since you are working with a newbie account. I don't know why you would need your own Coin for this though, you could very easily do your darknet markets and accept various different Coins since you are very likely to face problems of lack of liquidy and government intervention. Silk Road/2/3/4 all were shut down and the owners jailed for running markets of illegal goods, not to mention that they could trace these accounts back to you.

Don't be fooled... Chances are after the ICO walls go down. The dev will be long gone. There is no moving in this coin but downwards pressure. CCEX as an exchange is becoming worse for new coins. They are basically a dumping ground...

If the walls need to be stand , they support is needed.

Provided that the ICO is successful, C-CEX will freeze the ICO proceeds for 5 days in order to achieve the following: verify blockchain & network stability and adherence to the stated ICO/coin parameters; provide a buy-wall of 50% of ICO proceeds in order to provide traders the possiblity to exit from their coin investment at cost.

We talked to c-cex today about the situation and we both agreed the ICO was wrapped up. The buywall was there in case any investor wanted to leave and that's what happened.

When the 5 day period ends the remaining ICO funds +  the returned OMA will be delivered to us and we will use it for development (paying people in OMA instead of BTC).

Hum, that's a valid point of view but burning all these coins would mean burning 50% of the dev funds.
What about burning 25% of the total supply (50% of the coins that will come from c-cex refund)? That would give us enough funds to pay for some stuff in OMA and the community would also like it, would something like this satisfy investors?

it's not for me to decide but rather i suggest put a poll in this thread and ask the investors / community about what to do with the bought coins, i think that will help a bit

It's not actually burning the supply since funds go into an unspendable address, it's not such a great idea to do that as well because if you ever have a rich list on the Block explorer it shows all those Coins as the top rich list addresses so the marketcap shows a much higher value than the actual value and all addresses show as percentages of the entire supply so you might have 5% of the available supply but if there was some 90% of the Coins that were "burned" then it would show you as having 0.5% of the total supply.

If for instance you were going to burn the Coins properly then Fees would have to be burnt instead of being reclaimed through POW/POS and then the entire amount would be sent to any address as 1 Coin Transaction and "settxfee" as the amount to burn. It can't be done like this currently unless the rewards itself were changed to destroy fees and format the moneysupply.

Just the fact that the developers are willing to burn them is enough to convince me of the sincerity of the developers. The devs should use those coins to build Omega into the coin we all envisioned it would be.

We are not running away. As a matter of fact we just helped our first vendor to setup an account and he is already testing the website, we are in here for the long run and have a lot of stuff coming. Keep an eye on Omega.

When will you people learn that c-cex is likely behind these scams.  At the very least they are working closely with the scammers.  Just look at their overall trading volume.  They are not making any money off of these minimal trading fee's.

Since both of your markets will accept BTC is there any reasonable logic behind paying with OMA (which has 0 liquidity and volume) compared to BTC?

At the moment the only point of this coin was to give you the ability to crowdfund on an altcoin exchange and gather BTC to be able to start and maintain your darknet market. If you don't launch a coin you can not crowdfund on the altcoin exchanges and nowhere else could you gather money for a darknet market. People buy your coin and can pay with it on your market, but no one can make the merchants actually accept OMA over BTC. And since OMA has no liquidity and market no one will pick it over BTC.

Yes, paying with OMA in the OmegaMarkets will have significant advantages over paying with BTC, much like Noocoin does with their own shop.

Noocoin and the devs can give discounts because that is a centralised shop and the products are coming from the same company. They can choose to accept their own currency and give discounts on it.

As long as you aren't your own merchants, meaning you sell products on your markets I don't see this working.

Edit: merchants will avoid your market if you force them to give discounts / accept a new altcoin. This is 100%

OMA advantages can and will be done in a very simple way. Whenever a merchant wants to sell a product a price (in BTC or OMA) will be defined for that product.
If an user pays in BTC a small fee will be imposed (much like other darkmarkets do). But if the user chooses to pay in OMA no fees will be imposed.

This is trend of these days sincerely for me nothing to wonder by watching this what happened.

If you let the merchants define the price and what currency they want they will most probably define BTC as it has liquidity and less volatility, a new altcoin can crash instantly at any given time with a low market cap.

If you don't let the merchants define the currency they want, but automatically generate an OMA price after they set their desired price in BTC literally no one will join your market since you are forcing OMA on them.

Sorry dude, I am not here to troll but your idea is dead on arrival. The only way to make this work is either to sell products yourself and you would happily accept OMA since you are building your own currency with it, or to give OMA some anon features and promote it as an alternative currency to bitcoin with more features that are fitting with the whole darkmarket scheme.

I am sorry for the people who invested, because they only positive aspect this coin has is that it gave you the opportunity to crowdfund for your market.

People will accept the small bonus fee to be able to take BTC which has a whole lot more security as a currency.

Well if you are continuing to work on the markets even after the massive drop in price then I don't really have a problem with it because it's a person's choice whether or not to invest in something. I'm not out to attack peoples projects just to be a dick so I'll even offer you a bit of helpful advice.


With the reward system of OMA you should look to continue to work on it in a similar way to BlackCoin and possibly improve the rewards in some way to make it more ideal for people to Stake their Coins. It presents somewhat of a risk when the market is low volume and low Proof of Stake rewards coupled with an infinite maximum Stake age. The reason for this is that a person can buy many Coins for cheap, split up all their Coins into very small units, wait a couple weeks until they accumulate a lot of coinage and then Stake them all at once and double spend on the market. This risk was highlighted as an attack on ApexCoin about a month ago and in order to make sure there is enough security on the network you will want to have a high amount of blocks always Staking on the network. Proof of Stake difficulty is measured in the amount of Blocks competing in order to Stake, the more blocks competing the better it is for security.

Working on the protocol is just as important, if not even more important than working on the TOR markets because you want to identify and fix problems before they become and issue. If deciding to make a change to the protocol in which would affect the calculation of rewards, stake age or difficulty in any way you cannot just change it like you would a normal program. You would need to plan ahead and set the change in the future and notify all holders and exchanges to upgrade before that time and reject the previous protocol versions in order to make sure there are no conflicts otherwise you would get syncing issues.

Yesterday the team received the ICO funds, with them we paid for the rest of the OmegaMarket development (the payment processor was the big thing missing) and the Tor Market should be ready to leave beta in the next week. The payment processor will also be used in the I2P market but this one will take a bit more time to complete, you can expect it to be ready in 2 weeks.

How are you planning to spread the word about the market? I mean really few people in the crypto world knows about it you need to find some way and advertise it. it's a good idea but there are a lot of good ideas out there lacking promotion and never getting noticed.

I fully expected that the Omega Dev was going to do a roadrunner once the ICO ended since it was a newbie account asking for quite a generous ICO.

However it seems as if the TOR markets have been progressing quite well and the Dev has shown good candor in communication and wading through the FUD on a non-moderated thread.

perhaps a VPN + OMA auto install package? Most will know how-to but if you make it easier for mass adoption that will be the key..

a unique feature you could add to your market to make it above the rest is where users can have the option to invest in top merchants business which in return they get paid dividends weekly/monthly etc. just like owning a business and to expand they could raise funds and depending on their stats feedback, sales people can decide to invest.no other tor market does this and merchants will come running for this in my opinion.

This is a really interesting suggestion. But we need to prevent businesses from running with people's investment money, the market will focus on the consumer experience and not so much on the merchant one (although we have some things in store for merchants as well).

well that is a risk people will take as if you see current situation with exchanges they still run off with money. a way round it would be to hold a a portion of the escrow but ultimately you should let the investor decide as they are aware of the risk. the merchant would need to build a large rep before even asking. it is basically like a ico. there will always be scams regardless of what anybody does.

this is a incentive for merchants to choose your site over others.

ofcourse someone may build a rep and then raise funds to run away but if someone has total sales of 20btc and asks for 100btc funding alarm bells should ring, but again let investors decide.

Where to you get the figure of 20 million according to thread there are only 2 million coins. So after Cex burn there are less than 2 million coins.

Way below ICO price but Dev seems to be fairly active. Most Devs disappeared as soon as ICO's finished. He's been keeping investors in the loop and take constructive criticisms fairly well. Invest at your own risk of course but I am reasonably happy with the progress so far given all the scams that are going going in crypto atm. I might be wrong but hey let give him the benefit of the doubt. Big risks come with Big gains OR big losses..  ;D ;D

DEV is doing a great job... He is following his road map. Prices are low and anyone not buying is making a mistake IMHO. "WHEN" the DEV delivers the finished product soon. A lot of you gonna wished you bought at these prices and held for a few weeks.

Hey Dev, if you didn't do it actually, then please show up with a genuine answer as these dumps are killing all the investors, not only of ICO, but in everything they invested... Prove yourself with your work, not just words...

Lots of times pumpers will dump previous mined coins when there's thin support. Just to shake out weak and panic sellers. The pumper will then gather more coins at lower prices before pumping the coin to new highs. I seriously doubt the DEV dumped for at the current prices. The dev could have easily left after the ICO or even dump when the coin was still trading at 1000+ sats. OMA is fixing to take off and its best you don't miss out...

The dump started at 2300 sat when the dev took down the 50% buy wall. So basically the dev had all his btcs in his pcoket + 50% of the ICO + 1M coins.

Take it easy fellas. I had over 7 coins on CCEX that was dumped on yesterday. It maybe CCEX selling some of it inventory. Most of us only have a few $ tied into OMA. So no need to get all excited. Alt coins are risky and we all know it. So far I have no reason to doubt the DEV. If he decides to run off he wouldn't be the first one and surely wont be the last.

That's where your completely wrong , C-cex never destroyed that 1M coin. It went directly into the Dev hands that's why im trying to make ignorant people like you understand.

C-cex is the worst incompetent exchange of them all, The dev bought into his own ICO with his own BTC easily 15-20 BTC + worth.

Then sold these BTC and crashed the 50% buy wall from C-cex. Can you guess now what happened? Both BTC and coins are back into his own pocket. You think that bs story about tor market is worth fuckin 20 BTC?  Keep dreaming that the price will go up again, it will not the dev has already disappeared and went into his next venture. The only reason he would appear back again is to make you believe there is still hope in order to pump the price back and have him sell the rest of his coin.

The DEV gave you all a timeline. He told you a couple weeks and the inwallet would be ready. So far the DEV have been active on this thread. He could have easily walked out after the ICO. But he didn't ... You allow people who FUD to come in and cause a panic against your coins. Some of these people don't even hold a stake in OMA coin but yet trying to tell you about your investment. Don't be surprised if these same people who are causing you to panic sell. Buys your OMA for the low and then pump it to ICO+ prices. DEVs are humans and they have other business outside of this forum. So if you don't heard from a DEV for a few days, that's to be expected.

Ill put another btc in today for fun :) If you guys cant afford to lose 1 btc here or there or arent willing to take a proper gamble, get of these forums and go get a job. Your in the wrong place. I personally bought roughly about 7% (some from the ICO, more @ 240+ satoshi) of the entire currency. Those coins will be kept in a strong hand for better times, but there is a very good possibility for Omega to die.

Lol, agreed... Anyways, I bought in worth `0.2 BTC whilst the price was between 800-900 sats... Me and some other traders came in, in order to pump it a bit as it's being said, that we are all strong hands, and won't be selling at least under what we bought 'em at... :P

This is the only thing that can stop the scam. People must decide to not invest anymore in ico coins and they will stop coming out. It is the people who invest as early investors to take advantage of the profit.

Most of the ICO's are run by few people who have long history of dead coins behind them. I am not all against ICO's though. Some people have pretty good skills, but they don't have money. Future will tell if this is another scam, but currently I must admit that things are not looking good at all. :)

No word from the dev in 5 days  ??? Alot of so called devs are doing this recently including with POW coins, i have a theory that they are trying to cause panic selling which they obviously buy in to and gain a nice holding in their coin, makes sense it's just it requires a sneaky horrible little man who does not care about his investors. Normally around a week and he will come back with loads to say road map to achieve etc then the price has a nice little pump and he makes money/btc.    

Well, the only solution is to get investors away from the thread to some others who are serious about their coins. Let's see if he appears at all in the next 3 days. Personally though, I am sick of this shit...

The ICO was 30 BTC plus what they dumped after to completely drop the market for 20 BTC, then it also looks like they bought it all back at 400 and sold again at 600-700 so my guess would be a total of 60-70 BTC all up. 20k USD is not bad for 2 weeks and pretending to do some work on TOR markets  ::)

Even if it's not a scam (and I'm pretty sure it is now), with such a small amount of Stake per year it would be nearly impossible for it to trade back at the ICO or allow for people to make any ROI.
