If you have to send it from an exchange you can do so. Just be sure to send the form in at the same time as your transaction.

That ~500k has been sent multiple times. That can't be anything good.

How does POW combat inflation? Unless you mean that once HiPOS ends money supply will only grow with 1 coin per block?

I would have hoped that devs realised by this time that there should not be too big an extreme between initial coin reward and eventual coin reward. if the difference is too extreme, and your marketing relies heavily on HiPOS, the HiPOS will attract the people that you do not want for the long term. Quick profit takers are attracted by HiPOS and then moves on after dumping their coins when HiPOS is over. The low reward after that is too low to attract any POW miners. Low POW will only work once a coin is established and the price has gone up enough. Most people nowadays have ASIC miners for SHA256 that runs on 1000W+. Even if you go for GPU miners it will still cost you 300W+ in electricity cost. Earning 1 GE per block means that that 1 coin must be worth a packet to cover your electricity cost. It could be feasible with setgenerate wallet mining but the problem is then it could take you ages to nurse diff that low and then it takes one ASIC to take diff back up up there and takes you back to square one.

You will have to work on plans to get a high sustainable price on GE before HiPOS is over else it will just be another 1.5m coin earning 1 coin per block and people move on since if HiPOS is your marketing plan it will only last during HiPOS. Looking forward to see your plans to achieve this which has turned out to be extremely difficult in alt-coins. My predictions for Greed 1 was spot on - please prove my predictions for Greed 2 wrong - I would like to be wrong with this.

What is this? And how to read this info?
As you know most of the coins have very similar code bases. But any little bug could damage the whole blockchain. To avoid this people check the code both manually and automatically.  As I know ocminer automatically check code for already known bugs, so his checks couldn't find new bug. Earlz check code manually, but he also could miss something, because codebase is very huge. I chose different way. I wrote the script which compare code in one coin with code in other already inspected coins. So if you see something like "Good blackcoin arch " it means that i already inspected this code before in blackcoin's and arch's source, and I think that its safe. When my script finds new code it asks me to check it manually and tells me whih codebases is most similar, so 'CBlock::ConnectBlock                Most similar blackcoin, diff=5, codehash=1a0a6fb0d9bc6aefff4e'  means that most similar code of CBlock::ConnectBlock have seen in blackcoin and there is 5 places where something was changed.
Currently i check only most important functions in main.cpp.

By mining 1 coin blocks while people are trying to stake big blocks. If the reward is 2,000 GE for 50 block and POW mines half of them, they've blocked 4,975 coins worth of inflation. Nothing too complex.

My only issue with you is that I still can't figure out how to sync my wallet quicker; you recommended I delete the "system32" folder but afterwards I couldn't connect to the internet.  I tried rebooting but all I get is a black screen with a bunch of white text that looks like a goddamn hacker's computer.  Does this mean I can hack it & make it work?  The mouse doesn't work so I have to type everything in ??? 

My 100K GE should still be inside the PC, maybe I'll take it to Geek Squad so they can refurbish it.  I'll bring an external HD so they can transfer the GE there when removing this ugly old black screen ;D

Unswapped coins should be burned. This will make the money supply lower, and making the coin more rare. This is the whole point of the new Greed Evolved , is to destroy as many greed coins as possible to raise the price.

Just my opinion, I would have loved that swap stop at block 15 000 however I think it is to short notice for traders at this stage.

Earlier you mentioned 7 days and that will bring a lot of confusion for traders if they log in after a few hours and we are passed block 15 000. I think you will need to give them more time to swap.

I think the best solution was mentioned in YoBit chat.

Have YoBit close the GREED market, but keep processing swaps for at least 7 days.

That way the GE market will no longer be tied to the price of GREED, nobody will get stuck and pissed of because they had to work and didn't see the notice in time, and nobody will have any reason to keep holding their GREED.

So whats up with swapping greed to GE? The poll was clear I think it should have already been stopped personally.  If you keep swapping it but shut down the Greed market that will also just put more sell pressure on GE.

With my whole 116 GE I have staked 1 GE so far & today have hit 2 orphans of 1 GE so hopefully I hit one of them big blocks, yeah it isn't much compared to the start but it is what it is.

Its not me this time, I missed most of the high reward periods. Always fun to see where this coin goes.

Ok Dev - What's next??

Alright. Time to catch everyone up with what I'm thinking.

Greed and Greed Evolved have both been very interesting experiments.

The goal of both was simple.

Experiment with creating cryptos that do not require waiting on the promise of outside technology to add value. See if it's possible to hard code in very simple points for speculation, competition, and even entertainment while keeping everything as clear cut and transparent as possible. Figure out if people like this type of coin, and if they do maybe the concept will catch on and become the next "flavor of the week" by all the repeated clones and eliminate some of the pure scam coins.

Greed 1 went well, but had setbacks. It only caught the attention of a small community of traders due to those setbacks, but amazingly turned out to be one of the most positively received coins I've been apart of in a good while. The lack of trolls and negative feedback just floored me.

That being said, there were issues. Overlooking the mistakes that needed to be updated and caused it to lose a lot of attention, the coin was rough. People seemed to enjoy the competition aspect quite a bit, however it seemed the ones finding the most success ended up being just a few of the players. The inflation rate was too fast as well. While it was needed for the strategic gameplay I was going for it caused too rapid of a decrease in price making it hard for much of an upswing.

In Greed Evolved I learned from these issues. I intentionally made the rounds more complicated, making it harder to catch every round for the non-insomniac (which resulted in a significantly better distribution). I also added in a couple new elements to test. The super blocks seemed to grab the majority of the attention this game, with everyone fighting very intensely over them. I tried strategically placing a few both between HiPos rounds and in the middle of them to shake things up. That way those hunting for just the HiPos round rewards found competition from those hunting the super blocks some rounds. We also tried out a very simple method if inflation control / supply blocking with POS. This added yet another layer of strategy, while securing the network from blockchain halts. In the end roughly 23% of the potential supply was blocked from coming into existence by POW miners. We currently have a supply of only 1,514,207 coins.

GE saw even more interest and participation than GREED, and the high acceptance rate continued strong. The lack of trolls and negative feedback has honestly blown my mind here. There was however still a lot of room for improvement in GE. The inflation issues was still present. While it was needed to create the elements of gameplay we used, the supply grew at such a pace that the value has fallen to 150 - 250 sats. Which when you think about it is kinda crazy considering someone could afford to buy the entire supply with only 2 - 5 btc. I think part of the reason we ended up at this price is the 100:1 tie to GREED. Even though GREED as almost entirely been swapped over and could be considered dead, the fact that yobit has not removed it is probably causing people to use it as a base for valuation in GE. Finally, I believe the rounds were not quite as clear cut as I had intended. I found all the way through there were traders confused about the rounds and what rewards to expect.

So. Where do we go from here?

I've been doing a lot of thinking about that.

I'd like to continue my experiments into the creation of coins with hard coded speculation points.

However, this time around things would be slightly different. I'd like to test out a new experiment I've cooked up, learning from GE and GREED.

The plan would be to reduce the supply proportionately yet again, down to about 150,000 to 200,000, making your holdings the majority of a very rare and hard to get crypto. The inflation issue will be removed, in favor of a much slower rate of creation in which POW and HiPOS miners can earn the same rates equally (and perpetually, there will be no serious hard coded end to this one other than a max supply variable). With these specs so far we've got a very rare coin with a lack of inflation that's been fairly distributed over two games worth of competitive acquisition.

Here's the fun part. I have two ideas that I want to test out to see if we can create a hard coded cause for a natural back and forward swing in the market. We'll call this "The Sine Wave (https://www.google.com/search?q=sine+wave&espv=2&biw=1680&bih=925&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAWoVChMI9pCInN-DxwIVwYkNCh0_3ABr) Ideal". The ideas are simple and may or may not work very effectively, but to my knowledge have never been tried before. One of the ideas requires some alteration to the transaction tax code to implement, which could take me a good deal of time to figure out if I can accomplish it at all. The other does not require this, but implements an extremely similar concept that I think I have the means to build in the normal amount of time it takes to build a new crypto + all the materials that go with it.

Now I could abandon the greed series and start this new coin from scratch. I think most coin creators these days would, but I really don't want to do that. All of you that took part in my experiments have been incredibly positive and open towards them and the ideas we're chasing here. I think it would be a shame to do anything other than keep nurturing that. I want to keep working with you guys and reward your participation with a rare, unique coin that you all hold the vast majority of for as long as you choose to keep holding it. Even if it fails, it will be something that is (to my knowledge) new and different.

I respect your participation and holdings though so I want to hear your opinions. Is this something that interests you all? Should we keep evolving into something more?

Yeah, if we want to try out the new ideas while preserving everyone's shares we will need a new chain.

As much as I like the Greed brand, we will have to re-brand as well for two main reasons.

1. To eliminate confusion with older chains.

2. Bittrex Bill took one look at our ticker and decided we were a joke that shouldn't be added to his exchange.



So.. it would appear that if we ever want to make it to Bittrex we need a rebrand anyway.

I'm thinking something like "Sine" or "Flux" or "Swing" or something.. Suggestions welcome if any of you are the creative type.

Branding can make a big difference to new potential investors so, this is something you guys may want to really think about.

I'm not rebranding for Bittrex. I'm creating a new coin and upgrading holders of older projects to the new project instead of creating and abandoning a bunch of bagholders.

As long as we can trade somewhere it doesn't really matter if they add us. People just like Bittrex is all so why not try to fit the mold Bittrex likes.

We are upgrading to a better coin, with completely different specs that's meant to be more sustainable. Greed and GE were fun and interesting, but were really just designed as games for bored traders.

Personally I think that's better than leaving a bunch of people behind with bags, when instead they could continue to be valuable community members as we evolve.

So I'm excited to be able to say that I've made enough progress to release the reward specs for swing. The initial proof of concept tests have passed, meaning I should be able to finalize swing to the specs posted below.


So basically, POS rewards = 1% of the last 3 digits of the block count.

POW is the same, only there is a multiplier. It's factored by taking the number in the thousandth place and multiplying it by 10, and the result is the percentage of POS miners get.

I need to come up with a way to explain it better by launch but the chart should help.

So for example, on block 8532:

POS reward = 5.32
POW reward = 80% of 5.32 = 4.256

The only deviation is when the thousandth place is 0. Rather than have miners earn nothing they earn 100%.

So the supply will inflate at a maximum rate of (roughly) 2500 coins per day, and 912,500 coins per year. (Keeping in mind that's the max, if every block was POS)


I've opted to pay a web designer to do the assets for me this time around. I think a professional look and feel can go a long way. He is shooting to get the artwork done by the 14th, but I told him it's ok to overshoot by a few days if it means higher quality work. I would love to launch by this weekend. If I can wrap everything up and get the assets in time I will try to. However, that's just an ideal date. I don't want to give any hard dates as I know how awful they can be for markets when things get delayed and dates are missed. However, I'm currently hoping to launch sometime this month without much issue.

The "game" aspect has been pulled back and will be a lot less intense, but I think there is still a lot of room for strategy. On a less happy note. It would appear there is a hacker stealing greed coins. I got one single report of Greed being stolen way back in the first game, and this morning I got a report of someone's GE being stolen. You guys may have noticed it dump on the exchange.

It should be noted that the GE wallet was not password protected, and it's not known how access was gained.

About 12,400 GE was stolen and dumped from one of our bigger supporters that's been with us since the start.

I'm currently working with him on getting things secured so he has a safe GE wallet.

I plan to send him some of my own holdings to help make up for his loss.

I will strongly suggest that you contact the holder that lost his coins and advise him to do a virus scan for malware on his computer, including malware bytes.

He need to do it asap as he will loose more coins in his wallets if there are malware on his computer.

What kind of swap do you have in mind considering the coins' supply?

GE will be converted to somewhere around 200,000 - 500,000 SWING (I still need to make up my mind on this). GREED and GE will act as the distribution phase for SWING so there will be no major mining period in SWING. It will all come from GE. After that it's just what's in the chart above.

So what is stopping the PoS block from taking over and bypassing the PoW block schedule per spike to get through it faster ?

Basically no one has to mine and you can get through the blocks meant for PoW with PoS staking only quicker, having PoW & PoS working like this will always result in different block numbers per algorithm you anticipate.

E.G PoS solves blocks faster than PoW so the PoW & PoS schedule would be incorrect.

I'm not following your logic. Each block can be either POW or HiPos. The blocks are hard coded, the schedule cannot be incorrect. None of the blocks are meant specifically for miners or stakers, you have to fight over them.

I expect 25% - 50% of blocks to be discovered by POW miners depending on the net hash rate based on the tests carries out during GE staking rounds. Possibly more if someone dumps a lot of hashing power on the network during the spikes.

Holders staking are meant to have the advantage over non-holders. This edge for holders is something the community requested and enjoyed about GE. It's also what's allowing us to test the effect of a swinging miners supply on price. Miners that choose to hold and stake will have the advantage over miners who dump, and GE holders that don't dump / people who buy up swing will have even more of an advantage depending on their strategies. It should be pretty competitive.

How are the logos coming?

Just touched base with the artist. He said he should have the logo choices done by the weekend (thurs / fri). When I double checked that he could get all the art done within the month he said "yes definitely".

So you can probably expect logo voting to begin within a day or two.

Alright guys. It's time!!

I've just finished the final tests. Everything is working as planned, and I have all the assets.

I will be posting the Pre-Ann shortly after this post. I'm going to give you all about a day to prep. The plan is to launch sometime sunday afternoon.

I've also decided to use my actual trading handle to help bring some authority to the project. The first two coins went well enough that I feel I no longer need to use an alternate handle.
