Two weeks later re buy..?

Good move imo, but we don't know if stocks will rebound. If more countries start going Brexit deep shit is about to happen. For starters we have in Ireland people wanting to make another referendum because they don't want to leave the EU, and they are considering splitting from UK to stay in EU.

And some countries are going to have elections soon so there is a lot of political doubt about what is going to happen.

Bitcoin and gold are the place to be imo but good luck with your gambles.

If they pay dividends,  I really wouldn't do it.  Plus there's tax consequences AND the possibility you'll lose money just by making the wrong call.  Then again, if you can afford to do it and believe bitcoin is going to pop, why not?  But I'm a bigger believer in stocks than crypto.

Buy Facebook on every dip.  I sold FB in 2014 @ $57 and now I totally regret it. But I had do it to for another big expense, so I guess it wasn't a total regret.

I am playing in a tax free account so my gains I don't have to pay taxes.

OP did you end up selling anything?   US stocks have been on a tear as of late, and the whole brexit thing seems to have not mattered in the least.   Then again, bitcoin has also been booming.  It is indeed tough to decide where to put your investment dollars.

OP still has a few days to go before executing the second part of his strategy.
We still have to see how bitcoin's price moves around the time of the halving.

I will just buy the bitcoin when the price is below $630 and and sell when the price is over $680. It will trade within the range.

Yeah sell you stock to buy more Bitcoins because Bitcoin is the better investment of the two if you really want to make money.

Oh you reminded me that i have sold my FB asset at 40$ price on past but that is in etoro platform and i remember that i have bought those for 20$ which i have got there as free bonus. I earned that for free so no regret.  ;)

Yeah bitcoin is unpredictable and also the price of bitcoin is increase because its always depends in demand and supply.. block halving is coming and our supply will be decrease more and i think we are also increasing population using bitcoin so the price should be rise more price will come in the future and more people are using bitcoin..

That is not a bad idea but if you were doing good with the whole stock thing then I would not give it up for Bitcoin. You can also choose to do both.
If you do both you can make money on both platforms which is even better because you have more sources of income then.

If you sold "two weeks later," (on the 8th) you would have lost a trifling sum. If you sell now? Would still lose a trifling sum.
This, of course, assumes zero fees all around, and sub-par performance from your stocks.

You can hedge 50/50 if you like, but  be aware that if either your btc or your stocks go to the moon you will only realize 50% gainz....
I think stocks are going to take a hammering, I am fairly sure holding btc would be the better deal overall but we all have different tolerances to risk /Reward ratio and time frames...

yes I totally agree it will prevent you from losing a lot of money when one of the investments lose money and that's when the words that can be from one of the books I read about how to invest properly :)

Also the ratio can be fine adjusted, not necessary 50-50, you may go 25% bitcoin, 75% stock. As long as you are comfortable with the ratio.  GBTC today has over 70^ premium over sport price, and it stays in this level I am very impressed.

i wouldn't just leave a market completely just because i want to invest in bitcoin, so if i were you i would still keep my investment in stocks and also invest in bitcoin.

You can do that if you want to but you will to think twice before you make a move like that because it is not sure that Bitcoin is going to pay off.
If you are doing good with your stocks then I suggest that you should do them both.

And how are you so sure of that? Anyway, if you really believe the price to go up that much, then start buying yourself all the coins that you can at current prices. You'll be a multi millionaire.

Yes. I have bought some bitcoin in 2013 and bought more when there was a price drop. I have also spent some.

I don't think it's a good idea to ever be 100% in with anything. You'd be wise to diversify & spread your investments & equity among several different ways/methods. 

Why not just hold some of the bitcoin for a few years? It could have a big increase or maybe double in a few years. There may be more potential gain with bitcoin but also there is some risk.

of course it is better not to just put all your money into bitcoins right now, anything might happen to the price, if i were you i would put only the money i can afford to lose

Holding now is one of the best and most wise things to do. If you are new you will see bitcoin can give you more profit then traditional stocks, but there is no guarantee so I would advice to diversify your money too.

Agreed. I'm heavily invested in BTC for the long term, but I could never let it be 100% of my assets. My cold storage is generally a solid 25-30% though. Then I have another ~20% on exchanges, in either $ or BTC depending on the current picture. ~20% in gold and silver. My 401k is in growth funds and commodity indexes and is ~15%. The rest is in cash assets / CDs.

Bitcoin should only be part of your investment, not all. The moment you go all in your money is at risk. There is no situation where you should jeopardize your money.
Some money in stocks, some money in a savings account and some money in bitcoin. That's how i have set up my assets.  If Plan A fails I always got a Plan B.

You should not keep all your eggs in a one basket too. Its good to have multiple investments.

He did not say you should spend all your money to buy the bitcoin. He just said to hold the bitcoin for the long term.

I find it wrong to sell your stock portfolio to go all in for bitcoin.

Yes hold the coins you have as price is going to rise sure, also don't sell all your coins, spend few for your expenses and invest a few also have savings in the remaining.

It depends on which rises faster. If the bitcoin price rises faster, it is better to hold more bitcoin instead of stocks.

I guess if you are an investor and have choice of Stocks or bitcoins as investment, i think you should go for bitcoins. Bitcoin value increases /decreases very fast and you can get a lot of profit from it on making right choices.

Why not just hold both? I think Bitcoins are a good diversification into your Portfolio. But don't sell all stocks. It is good to keep some.

You might want to just sell a part of your stocks and buy bitcoins. Remember to not put all your eggs in one basket. In case bitcoin's price doesn't move as what you wanted it, it's okay because all of your money doesn't depend on it. If your stocks thing went down as well, it's okay because you still have bitcoin. If both of them goes down, it's okay though. Atleast you tried other options instead of just sticking into one option.

However, some events such as negative news about bitcoin or exchange hack can crash the price quite a lot.

While there may be more infrastructure in the way of better sites to do the same old stuff at, there really isn't a huge reason to go for BTC over regular fiat right now.  I don't expect to see a price rise unless we find a real killer app, or the halving response was just delayed.

Selling all your stock to buy Bitcoin don't seems as the right decision mate. However i believe this is the good time to buy bitcoins because the price will increase in the future.

holding bitcoins might give you the best interest over time but is really risky either, i think if you dont want to potentially lose money then go with stocks instead

im an amateur at the traditional stock market so take my musings with a grain of salt. On one hand you have increasingly eyebrow raising divergence between stock price and stock fundamentals as well as numerous bearish calls by legendary investors. On the other hand you have record cash in the sidelines and continued QE by central banks. Two old sayings come to mind:

Haha, i laughed at the end of your post, it funny but somewhat true. Since I have a small portfolio most is consumed by btc. If id have a bigger portfolio, id probably split it 30%btc, 30%gold, 20% stocks and keep te rest safe

Stocks is more profitable than bitcoins. If you invest in companies whose shares are pretty low, you can buy almost 100 shares (may be at $10 per share) and selling them at even $0.5 profit could earn you $50 and I've done this and earned the profit in a week. Investing the same in BTC (almost 2 BTC) could barely make me earn $10-$20 in a week or may be I would go in a loss.

I agree that certain stocks are quite profitable, but the problem (at least here with me), is that the minimum fee for executing a buy or sell order for stocks is €9, plus they take around 0.1% of the total worth of the transaction. I have done some trading with stocks, but for me it wasn't very rewarding, so I stopped with stocks.

Looks like OP have a plan, or better to say had. Two weeks passed long time ago, I wonder did he sold his coins and re-buy stocks again? Risky move yes, but for sure this was a plan for some nice profit. Or it was transfer from safety reasons, in one moment stocks wasn`t safe investment, they could lose their value in days.
Well anyway, now btc is down, and everyone is waiting to see over 700 $ and probably now is not good time for selling coins, I would wait at least a month or maybe even more before any actions with bitcoins.  Until the end of the year price will grow, but when exactly and how much is hard to predict.

If he bought coins some time in the last two weeks when they dropped, he could definitely sell to make some profit.
It depends on how much you are talking about since you will lose some to transfer fees etc...
(Unless you have a lot of connections and can sell the BTC $1 = $1)
If you are talking about 10,000 or 100,000 worth of stocks yeah you definitely made some profit.

I think it is important to diversify, rather than go all in one.

It's diversify; meaning that he's having his money in a variety of different assets instead of putting all of his money in a single asset, so if one asset does poorly and loses him value he still doesn't lose as much as he could have if he had all of his money in a single asset. The important point is that the different asset classes should have low correlation. As per data available now, Bitcoin's returns have almost zero correlation with the returns on other assets. Hence Bitcoin can be used for diversification.

i say this because bitcoin takes effect on many things but also the main effect on price of bitcoin has nothing to do with other assets. so i can say in most times bitcoin is changing regardless of other assets.

Usa says they are going to raise interest rates, if that happens gold will die too. I don't know how they plan to raise rates while there is an election waiting them.

Yes thats a good choice. Gold for me is the best if you want a long term investment. Gold is falling but slowly but surely rising its price unlike bitcoin. Bitcoin is very unstable and risky. Bitcoin is good and other altcoins are good for trading for me. Its not good to put all your money on it because its risky. If the sudden drops occurs, thats it. You lose.

You can sell your stock and buy Bitcoin with the money that you get but if it goes good with the stock that you have bought then why come over to Bitcoin.
But yeah, you can also do both which is better.

I am trade stocks myself and when i was introduced to bitcoin i was sure to buy some extra bitcoins. But obviously I did not go all in. Because going all in is too risky. Especially when you deal with a volatile currency like bitcoin. So yes balance your assets so you got both bitcoin and stocks.

You might get a profit for a while, but the stock market is over-inflated with lots and lots of QE money. And eventually this whole house of cards will fall down.

What I am doing is I put some funds in stocks, while I also have funds in bitcoin. I have other investments (mostly medium-risk ones) other than those two because I believe in diversification. The saying that "do not put all your eggs in a single basket" is something that I try to live by. Makes me worry less about my investments being wiped out all at once, in case something terrible happens.

This is a option, I also would buy/hold the bitcoin due to the fact its still growing everyday and it has a good future a head these days.
It would be stupid to not hold some bitcoin for later, most likely the price will also go up in about a year to a high number.

I also think that it is not a smart idea to be selling your Bitcoin because I know that you can make some money with them in the feature.

I agree with you. I think it's better to not all in on bitcoin, half for bitcoin and half for other, like invest on something. So, it's more safety and your stocks will safe too, because you not all in on 1 place.

until america loses their control of the middle east and their petrodollar system becomes unsustainable and as a result countries begin dumping the dollar.

and if you know anything about geopolitics, the petrodollar is really past its prime.

If it is not going good with your stocks then it makes sense for you to sell them and try Bitcoin but if you are doing good with your stocks or not that happen it might be better to do both.
Maybe that with both stocks and Bitcoin you can make even more money.

If you have a strong faith in bitcoin, sell half of your shares of stock and invest in bitcoin, or even altcoin trading. But if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't sell all of my stocks, especially if they are the dividend yielding ones. I would still diversify and hope that everything gives me good yields in the long run.

It is better to stock all your earning into your bitcoin wallet because when the november 9th happen and it will be the same last year bitcoin price will be spike and thats the time you gonna sell your bitcoins and after that re buy bitcoins ;)

Semi-interesting rumors, the petrodollar might be being shut down soon, however that's just a rumor and there isn't much to substantiate that claim yet. So far the running date is September 30th for news like that.

As for the petrodollar being past its prime, I guess it is, but there is no real alternative for the economy right now. Something has to spring up.

i agree with you on the financial crisis thing in the future but also i have been hearing about a financial crisis for a very long time and nothing ever happens.

so it is good to keep an eye out and look at newer and better investments like bitcoin and gold instead of only stocks but also if history is any indication it may never happen.

This is some good advice. I never bought any stocks but i know it is risky to invest all my money into bitcoin. So i have the rest of my money into a savings accounts.
Within bitcoin I have half in altcoins and half I keep in bitcoin, hoping it will go up someday.

This is gambling, and nobody can persuade me in otherwise. You are moving your money from one to other asset, with hope that you will make some profit. Actually you are betting that asset you chosen will cost more in next period.

Indeed if your stocks are not going great you can sell them and step into the bitcoin but you should only do it if its not going good.

I think you should not sell all your stocks in exchange with bitcoin.  Though it is a good time if you want to buy some bitcoin because of its price.  Buy many bitcoin as long as you can as some people said that bitcoin price will goes up at the end of the year.

Indeed I think 2017 will be a better year for bitcoin but 2016 was a very weak year and I think we will see prices crash back to 570 atleast.

Indeed this is what I've learned too even trough just altcoin trading. Putting your money into multiple sources ensures that you can't lose it all by one bad event.
It will be more safe and essentially more profit aswell if you split up money into multiple investments.

The prices will drop and this is most likely good for the bitcoin because it will get a lot more investors due to that and after the buy in the price will rise again due to that so that would be great.

i agree better to try bitcoin trading first before selling all your stocks unless you are in a profit in your stocks, i would recommend to sell portion of it and then buy bitcoin with the sold portion. Now you have to stocks :D  and have two ways of earning, previous stocks and your bitcoin stocks.

By 2020 I see more 1000$, but I still agree with you that there is a real urge if you want to don't get in too late !

Investing money in bitcoin can act as a hedge for your investments in the stock market. Bitcoin and other crypto currencies usually perform well when their is a bad news regarding the economy or when a bad, unexpected numbers about the economy is released. So I recommend every investor in stock market to hedge their positions by investing in bitcoin. It's not a fool proof plan. But it does provide some hedging benefits.

i have sold all the stocks that i had years ago to make money free for investing in bitcoin. and so far it worked out pretty well for me. that doesn't mean i will never invest in stocks again. when i see a real bargain priced stock that has been dumped down significantly, then i will surely buy it, but nothing more than that. no bargain stocks means no stocks at all for me.

Whatever you do or invest in, don't forget to divresify.

Never do all-in/all-outs. That's the most stupid action. Put more % on the safer stuff, and put less % in the risky stuff. If you do that your portfolio will be invincible. You shouldn't aim big profits until you know how to protect your wealth first.

many like you and me take the safer route to invest smaller percentage and make a smaller profit but be a lot safe.

but there are still many who go all in and invest a lot of their money in bitcoin (or really anything else) to take higher risks and earn a lot more.

I would love to invest 50 percent of stock after completely deciding to move about. If you are well aware of ups and downs of your business, then you would be more confident in investing more. Experience makes everything differ. An experienced guy or an expert would take more time in analyzing about the business before they tend to proceed with the business. Each investment requires more study.   

If you are doing good with your stocks then I would see no reason on why you should come over to Bitcoin, I think that you should sell some and make use of both stocks and Bitcoin.
Then you might have more ways of income which is always a good thing.

If  your stocks are doing it good you should indeed not consider investing into the bitcoin, but if this is not the point you got nothing to lose and you could step into the bitcoin easily and make some good profit, if you have the patient.

For me, never again will I buy stock with my money maybe its because of the way the market is being managed and the directors distribute peanuts as profit after they must have taken care of themselves. Bitcoin would be where I want keep my money and make reasonable gain and cash out even in the short term rather than waiting for the market which is mostly manipulated in my opinion to decide my earnings...

Yes it will be a wise decision to sell stocks and buy bitcoins. But there will be no need for you to rebuy stock since price of bitcoin is going to raise  very high in the next few months. Just have some patience.

but if you want to leverage your profit, you can sell your stock for half, and make that half to invest in bitcoin so you can make money from your stocks and from bitcoin you can make money too. i will do like this so both can work together in different way and all in all, i still make money with both.

You are right about that, it can has some risks but I also agree with you that the bitcoin is better because the bitcoin can be used for all kind of things and with stocks this is not the case at all.

You can maybe do both, so you can decide later what you really will do, I would split out your stocks and than invest the half of the worth into the bitcoin and than just hold it for a longer term and see what the time will bring.

True, I myself also do both. I use the stock has been since long and stocks that I choose is still profitable. I also use bitcoin for investment, because it would be very beneficial if you invest in bitcoin. I just short-term investment in bitcoin because I still understand whether the price of bitcoin will be profitable in the future.

Maybe you can make use of them both because it would be better to have more incomes if one is not going as good you always have the other one.

stock trading compared to trading bitcoin, by far isn't as profitable for the majority of the people. that's why they much rather have their money into bitcoin than stocks for example. i personally have done this a long time ago. last years i barely look at stocks anymore as i am focusing on bitcoin only.

we can make a statement with our experience at least every person have their own skill maybe we are say bitcoin most easy to give you a profit because we has have a lot experience on it but for who just new in trade it's hard to get a profit.

   This is good move for people who know market, they are trading with different goods and assets and from that they predict future. This is for me to hard to understand, I follow news but I don`t think I`m well informed.
   Traders are making huge profits if they predict movement of the market good, I don`t know how can we find some good trader and maybe invest in that trader to make profit for us. Is there such traders here on forum, I didn`t saw one, only tipsters for sports betting.

I am also feeling that must be right move to sell all stocks in order to buy more bitcoins. Because, I could not find any stock that may return more than what bitcoin has brought in past months. The return rate of bitcoin is really marvellous comparing to any stocks in my country. Unfortunately I do not have any savings other than bitcoins so I am already all into bitcoins.

but i have acquired some eth and xmr for a bit of diversity and excitment because the alt market is more volatile and potential gains are more explosive than bitcoin

Yeah it is recommended to hold some stack of innovative and active altcoin projects you can take some good gain or recover the loss if bitcoin gets dumped and viceversa.

Selling stocks can be good but it can also let you lose a lot of money its just how you are looking to it, I think that it can go to both sides, it can be good but also very bad.

I wouldn't take this risk because if it fails you can't even buy back into your stocks. Just seperately invest into bitcoin what you can instead of offering up your stocks.

If you are selling your stocks you can maybe make some good amount with the bitcoin but its also depending on the bitcoin right now because it can go down but also up.
We still have to see this, lets hope it will got to a higher amount soon or later, I'm having some good hope that it will go to a higher amount.

Wait until the price will drop to $600 dollar's , So you have a lots of profit when you are going to exchange that again into exchange site's , Where you can earn much more profit if you are going to trade it into another currencie's , But be careful always on your move's where you can lose bitcoin too because of wrong move.

Selling your stocks and buying Bitcoins is a good decision.It is the right time to buy since BTC price has recovered the decline and has started to increase slowly.You wont have to rebuy stocks since Bitcoin itself would give you good returns.

Stocks are good for investing but I think that its a bit old to make profit on that way, I think the new way is doing it with the bitcoin, its pretty new for the most people and also more profitable on short terms.

I think it depends on the condition of his stocks in the market. If he can booka profit by selling it, why not.  If he knows that his stuck will plummet in price soon then why not.  If he think that it is more profitable investing in bitcoin then why not.  Selling stocks to jump in to another stock is actually normal in trading.  This way he don't have to spend more.

I also think this is playing a big role if the stocks are profitable you should not sell them but if they are not profitable and only will get down without a future its not worth it anymore and you should sell them and step in.

Nope everyone is good when making decision for there own goods and yet bitcoin is not that increasing continuously but we can see that it's really moving up and when we are going to about bitcoin we always think about positive if we can really make it thru risk.

I would say weigh your risk-reward ratio and decide from there. If it were me, I would just sell a portion, maybe up to 30% of my stock holdings, and invest them in bitcoin. Also, I would choose only the stocks that have given me the least yield over the years. It is still better to have diversification with our investments, so in case one of them fails, you won't lose everything all in one fell swoop.

Yes, he is supposed to consider both the sides. It is good to invest both in bitcoin and in stocks because you are not sure if the stock may receive exponential growth due to may be some new business improvements or may become favorite stock to most of investors anything may happen. Still, if I were OP, I will invest 90% in bitcoin and 10% in stocks, Yes I always believe into bitcoin the most.

I think this current hypeo f the american markets and the us dollar is going to end as soon as Trump enters office and starts actually taking decisions that can have impact on the geopolitical situation. The markets are blinded by the fact that the world did in fact not end after Trump got elected, but they are forgetting he will take controversial decisions an it will have an impact, it's then when BTC will shine.

Even today he was talking about scrapping the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal. It is going to negatively impact the market. The American corporations will be losing billions of USD, of the deal is cancelled.

Only if you are sure about the fact that you can make profit with the bitcoin its worth selling your stocks otherwise you should not do it because it will than be too risky for selling and buying right now.

Selling stocks is not a wise decision, because none is sure of the price increase and decrease. But with stocks we can research particularly and can make very closer prediction regarding the rise and fall. So when one is sure to switch to bitcoin from stocks, its better have some stocks left and use the remaining for the investment into bitcoin.

Like other said selling stock is not a good decision for now bitcoin is stable at the price of 720-745 and i think this price will longer stay.. unless after this year or this 2017 january..  we can not know if the price of bitcoin will go down soon.. so for me in my own in order to make profit if you have many bitcoin stock you can  sell half of it so that if the price will increase more soon you can still sell the rest to get more profit if not instead the price will decrease you can buy new bitcoin and safe your profit..

or maybe he only sell his stock for half and after he got the money, he can buy bitcoin and keep the half of his stock to continue his jobs. and for the bitcoin he bought, maybe he can save it in his wallet or do some trading.

Selling stocks is maybe not the best thing you can do but if you can make profit it will be worth it, its depending on the bitcoin price and the stockings you have invested in.

It is still better to diversify and be on the safe side, rather put everything on a single basket. I am more of a moderate-risk type of investor and would rather put my investments in different forms, so that in case something happens in one or more of my investments, the losses wouldn't be that big. That's what I have been doing for a few years now and so far it has given me good to average returns.

I am the one who always very conscious on choosing the investment vehicles yet I prefer to go bitcoin with more percent with my investment portfolio. The continuously rising bitcoin prices are simply justifying it.

But I do feel bitcoin is an exceptional investment opportunity in long run basis. It is like we are getting another round of Coca-Cola company's IPO. Only old veteran people knows the potential of those stocks, if you believe into bitcoin you can take more risk with this, I do not find any breaching of investment rules.

Take a look on those alts price right now i think they where not profitable at this moment price for those one are so low and doing trades with them.are surely so risky thats why i would rather prefer to sell my stocks and change it to bitcoins since i can earn more money by just staking bitcoins, and surely the surge will continue and i will not doing trades before that and surely i will comeback to the scene when i see the price is sustainable.

For most altcoins, if you bought in January this year and sell now, they are not profitable. Only good altcoins are profitable.

I wouldn't go for oil for a long haul, for certain. The rate at which alternative energy is proliferating is outright astonishing.

In general, the bitcoin shall rise faster than the stocks in the next few years.

Bitcoin has always been more rewarding than stocks, so in that regard, it's nothing new. The difference here is that people trading stocks are okay/happy with like 10-20% profits per year, where here in the Bitcoin world people look at 20% profits like it's nothing. That's why you see a shift in the portfolios from traditional investors. Bitcoin is being seen as a very interesting option that potentially (depends on at what price levels they entered the market) outperforms their entire portfolio without any problems.

I wish I could buy some Bitcoin ETF in my IRA and diversify away from stocks. GBTC is not a viable option for me right now, plus it does not yet accurately track BTC prices.

You did wise my friend. I sold 50% of my portfolio years ago (2014) then steadily went into bitcoin. Now 70% of my investments are into bitcoin, which is alot but I can't regulate that if the price keeps on increasing and increasing.

So, in short stocks are a good second place, together with gold. But Crypto is the future.

Well I still have my stocks and I will not sell them up for bitcoin. Bitcoin is a good opportunity for me to diversify my portfolio. But I will not go to extreme to sell my stocks and get bitcoin. I will just have them both in my portfolio, so that I can mitigate risk if something went haywire. Just like others here has mentioned a countless times, don't put all your eggs in one basket.  :)

Yes, you should focus on your portfolio distribution. A small amount of Bitcoin can provide upside to your portfolio, without hurting it too much in case of a crash. It is a new, risky asset class and your allocation to Bitcoin should reflect that.

I have quite a few coins, however, the bitcoin is still 59% of the total portfolio.

I think selling your stocks to buy Bitcoin is a good decision.  Currently there is another news about  Bitcoin acceptance.  This will definitely push the price up ( see what happen in Japan acceptance)  so selling your stocks to buy bitcoin will give you more profit than holding your stocks in a very long time.

Yes, I do see many of my friends are moving their funds out of their traditional investments juts for the reason of getting into bitcoins before it is getting too late. I too believe they must be doing right and I am also in plan to sell my real estate investments so that I can buy more bitcoins  ;)

In my viewpoint, selling your stocks for buying bitcoin is a good decision. The thing here is Acceptance! If all countries accepted cryptocurrency, it can be a future for everyone. It may be a more currency and it's an asset for me. Buy more bitcoin, so you can earn as much as you can.

Investing all money in bitcoins doesn't make any sense to me as it will be huge risk to put all your money in a single product so I will prefer to invest only a small part of my money in bitcoins and rest will invest in multiple products to divide the risk as I can expect some profits from either of any product in future.

That does not makes sense to me either but if you are able to enter at a very good price then you are good to go to reap some benefits but entering everything now does not make any sense.As an investor investing in multiple places is a good thing to reduce the risks involved,it is a good opportunity we have in the crypto space to make some good money if you are able to play smart.

Diversification is key, no matter how much u believe in any one stock, in bitcoin or altcoin there is always the potential for failure. Your strategy will give you good returns for very little risk.

Yeah if you want to make good and safe profits then its better to take an calculative risk of investing money at different places to minimize risk in future and its never smart to invest all your money only in bitcoins.

With stocks as high as they are right now, selling them is probably a wise decision. So if you sell the stocks, the question is where to put that money. We could see an influx of investment in bitcoin and gold but hard to say.

If you want to get rich in future then sell everything and take a risk of investing all the money in bitcoins as I am sure that bitcoins will not disappoint you if you manage to hold your coins till the right time comes to make huge profits from it.

That's a good move to sell stocks and invest into bitcoin. No stock could have such a growth as that happened with bitcoin. In a years time a $1000+ growth is something dreamy with stocks. The reality that happened with bitcoin gain more and more users focus towards bitcoin leaving stocks.

Well i would say it would be a very bold and a good decision to sell your stocks and buy your bitcoins.i would say that bitcoin has a lot of potential and it would definately never betray as the price of bitcoins would even rise upto 3000$ by the end of this year.

Main point is that if you have enough capital, there is no need to sell one for the other. You can perfectly fine hold certain stocks and Bitcoin at the same time. People make it unnecessarily difficult by forcing themselves to choose for one of the two. At this point I don't hold any stocks, but if I see an opportunity there, I won't let it go. I prefer to have a wide field of opportunities instead of just limiting myself.

This is good advise, anything other than a well balanced portfolio will be a gamble. I however do believe in bitcoin so I think the gamble as such is one where the chances are on my side. I understand I could lose a lot or even everything but I will take that chance in order to earn enough to improve my life.

My philosophy is I must be able to possess it (paper wallet Bitcoin, ETH, or VERI count as holding) so digital stocks that a bank or brokerage "hold" are no longer an option for me ... I invest in silver and crypto ... no 3rd party ... when fiat/debt currency fails, you will not be able to get to stocks because they are selling the same stock certificate electronically to multiple people  :)

I think as well that bitcoin is an opportunity. But i am not sure if it really takes its chance.
After all there are many things that still can go wrong with bitcoin. I would say more than what could go wrong with my stocks.
that's why I have a small investment in Bitcoin, but the majority is in my stck account.
