I never invested on ICOs because I don't put trust on ICOs due to some of them are scams so if I am impressed with the projects then I am only eying them and wait for them to bump on coinmarketcap.com and observe the performance and project progress and if it's time to hit invest then I should hit buy button and expect higher earnings in the future.
I do invest on altcoins than icos.

My best investment in ICO was in WePower. Still very profitable.
The next ones I'm waiting for are Livestars.io and KYC.Legal. The great idea and the team doing very promising staff. So keep on eye on them.

YES for sure! ICO is the future, in my opinion. You invest in the project you like and make money out of it at the same time!!
The one, i've been working with recently is "Red Lanterns". Totally recommend it!

if you take part in bounties paying you in tokens, it's a sort of investment. Not directly, but it is. I've never bought any token yet, because I've promised myself to buy from the cryptos I'll make in this forum, and I haven't yet. What it's real, is that the ICOs attract more investors than cryptocurrency does, but unless you are a skilled trader it is very easy to be scammed. I think it is safer to invest in tokens already issued than to pre-ico's where you can lose your cryptos.

By my own, I do not like invest in ICOs, and there are several reasons for it:
The first thing, during an ICO it is not really clear, whether project is really serious, or its just a scam. It becomes more clear when it is listed on some exchanges.
The second, price after ICO, when token is listed usually lower, than its price during ICO, so, its better to buy at this point.

Not yet, I haven't yet invested into ICOs because I didn't feel comfortable and entrusting our hard-earned money into ICOs that isn't yet proven their worth of more investments.
I invested Ripple, NEO and Oyster Pearl PRL last year and although they're on deficit this time due to massive crypto market dropping but I really do believe that when the market recovers then surely I will have higher profits probably starting on 3rd quarter this year.

I prefer airdrops as you do not need to invest money, only a little bit of time.

Copy / paste my signature for a megalist of only active and promising airdrops. Updated several times a day.

I have never invested in ICO because I have always been haunted by the fear of losing, even though every day many new ICOs are coming up and it makes it very difficult for me to make choices because most of them are just scammers.

I have also not invested in ICOs because:

1) My friends suggested me that most of these are scams. I do not want to loose my money with these risky options. I am content with 2x or 3x returns given by bitcoins or other safe coins.

2) It will also take a lot of time to research about a good project. There are so many ICOs being launched frequently, that it becomes very confusing. I really do not have much time left after job.

Remember that 9/10 businesses fail. The same will happen to ICO's in a few years. I also spread my portfolio, but make sure that you only invest in projects you truly believe in, have a good team track record and a realistic product. Skip those pump and dump coins, if you plan to hold them for some time.

Investing in ICO is more profitable than trading. On the other hand - you need to filter the floods of scum ICO's. It's experience. My last investment was Fusion (x2 from ICO price in ETH).. Right now blockchain projects might give you some profit: Seele, Merculet, NKN.. Research the team. And of course mind today's marketn  ;D

Be safe

I have participated in ICO and I like this kind of investment.
It gives you possibility to support the project that can become something bigger than another regular ethereum token. And another big pros for me - when you buy coins from exchange you support someone who sold them for you, but when you buy from ICO you support the development and project itself. And if all will act like that, we can have better market - good projects will have enough money for a good level of development and fast result.
But a huge amount of trash ICOs makes it much more difficult to find something real

I think every cryptoinvestors do invest in Initial coin offerings. Because initial coin offerings are always a good chance to get some coins and tokens very cheap with a good bonus. I also do participate in Initial coin offerings, or better say i try. Because the initial coin offerings i participate have almost a limit for investors. So you have to be always up to date and very fast to register for whitelist. So i can just recommend everyone to invest in Initial coin offerings.

Yes, I joined to Vreo.io. It's an ambitious startup that allow to embedd advertisement in a software environment. I think that the cleverest way to integrate ads into the games is to make them native. For example this guys vreo are going to create advertising platform for embedding in-game advertising secured through blockchain technology.

I myself am not too imposing to invest in ICO, because as long as the ICO is not very clear, whether the project is really serious, or just a scam.
This becomes more clear then the price after the ICO, when the token has been registered is usually lower, than the price during ICO, so, we must first carefully before investing

I have taken part in only one ICO after which I got disappointed seriously. I’m still recovering from the shock but that doesn’t scare me off. I have realized that you don’t always have to win, at times losing is necessary. I’m now preparing to join a number of ICOs hoping for success this time.

That's a nice plan and I am sure many of us will use the same tactics but 30+ ICO is huge and need a full time attention to the funds and we need to have a strong control over our emotions I believe because of the volatility of the market situation.

If you are doing bounties on this forum, you absolutely into ICO, even you are not investing anything (money) you are putting your time and effort into it.
And for you to give that much you surely believe on that ICO, remember that hunters must study and research the ICO's potential before joining.
SO you will end up earning and not wasting all you put it.

Investment and waiting for ICO token releasing will not be in my idea at all. If I like the project I would like to go with the coins and join their bounty campaigns and get the tokens for participation on that. I things this is a good for the people who ever want to invest on the cheap amount.
I just confirm the best manager managing the signature campaign projects.
Keep reading the white paper and dev team information to confirm they are legit or not.

Of course I invested in ICOs and continue to do so, as it the most easiest way of earning money. I had few negative experience from investing in ICOs like Restart Energy and Jet8. But most of my other investments were very profitable, so they easily overlap my loss. The next ICO which I gonna invest in will be Egretia. The project looks very solid, with experienced team and already working engine. I believe such projects as Egretia can be successful even if the crypto market is falling.

Most times, I prefer to invest in the ICOs i am campaigning for, except for some very few and those few ones were ETN, INS and Arcblock. I missed the bounty for those three, but i bought their ICOs. I do not just invest. I always study and research on projects of my invest. If such project appeals to my interest i will invest and if not, i will let go.

Just invest in those projects who are worth it, there are a lot of trashy ico's nowadays, they do not deserve to have our money to be honest.

But yes, there are some who are good enough, i have invested in three ico's lately.

Participating ICO are truly in high risk especially when market is down. I may try it at once, yes big profits is their if a certain coin won't  fall badly. But as I'd today's situation,  it's really hard to gain profit if you only aiming for short term investment cause usually it dumps after ICO ends. You may wait for few weeks or months to recover from dip.

At least if we can buy on the pre-sale and then there will be a little pump after it being listed on the exchange site and it can become a way for us to exit from there to taking another dip soon or later.
In fact many people are doing it right now. they are following icos but at the same time they are thinking about how not to get trapped by the market.

I have not yet tried it and if ever there would be a lot of time before i might try it, maybe when i have a stable job which i earn enough to do so or if my business grows and matured the way i planned. I am not saying that it is my last option but as a citizen that does not earn yet or have a money to do so, i will be doing the waiting game and plan for now so when the time comes, i will just lend the money with ease and enough courage to do so.

The only ICO I participated in so far is valued much lower than the ICO price, which is a bit of a bummer, but a risk I took. I've just taken the opportunity to buy more since I still believe the product has potential. I'd suggest others to consider the same if they are in a similar spot and think that it should recover when the market picks up again. This way your average buy in is much lower, meaning you break even/profit much sooner when price begins to rise.

The same for me, i dont like kyc, they are something that i have always hated. But there are some icos who are not asking for it, i have invested in 5 icos since november and none of them asked me for kyc before investing, i think that most icos are just asking for it because they are getting tired of not being compliant with the SEC.

Sooner or later, all those who participated in the bounty become investors in the ICO. You can already sort the good ICO.

I invested in several ICO and they was sucsess. WAX, Dragonchain, UTT less successful, but I immediately sold them.
I think that this is a big risk, but the profit is worth this risk. 1000% from one successful ISO.

I invested in many ICOs, and mostly it were bad investments. However, 10-20% of really good ICOs, where i invested on very early phase, gave me much more than i lost.   I think you should break your deposit into many small pieces, and even if the project looks well, not to invest much funds, and in long term it is a positive muve. How much positive in % to your depo and time - can't say, it depends on too many things

yes you are right i also took parts of that project, is very amazing secondly that project has a great potentials non need to miss that project or to purchase that coin.

I've invested in several ICOs and I'm interested in some other good one, I've never gotten any profit by trading some of my coins tho, but I'm still holding and I believe in those projects, for now nothing can keep me back from ICO, I'll rather select the best one to participate.

Yes i invested in some ICO but i make sure first to read almost all the comments, check their members, company address, the things they want to achieve or develop if they are legit or not. Lots of ICO in the past and until today are just all talk meaning that after they're done with the ICO they just leave and doesnt do anything for the project that they proposed. So in choosing or investing in ICO make sure that you check all the details just to make sure that it is a legit ICO.

the only reason why people invest in ICOs is because they want to make profit, usually they want a big profit.
well... that profit can be gained by trading altcoins (investing in altcoins short term). and this profit is  gained so much easier with a lot less risk than ICOs and it is a lot easier to do things like "Stop Loss" when you are trading but you can not do anything when your money is locked in an ICO which you may not even be able to dump for months until it is listed on a decent exchange!

so no, why would i want to make things harder for myself while increasing the risk?

Learnt my lesson. Don't just invest when the market is in a bear ride

Maybe they are the person who are playing safe and that they don't want to take risk of their life, so for me, investing in ICO is  fine for as long as it will not make you suffer when you are scammed, that is why it is important to know the legit ICO.

With that being said, I love to buy who get listed on new exchanges. By doing that, the price of coin usually rises and it becomes a good opportunity to make lot of money.

It is really risky to invest in ICOs because some ICOs are scam and they disappear after a successful ICO. So, most likely some investors would just wait after the ICO for coins or tokens to be listed in an exchange, where they could actually buy it cheaper than ICO price. Which is I think a wiser move.

No, I haven't tried it yet and I don't have plans to. My money is important to me and I don't want to create mistakes, so to be sure, I buy some coins that is listed already in the market. Many ICOs are not continuing now and I don't think that they are serious.

It's a lending coin which could bring us the huge profits like Bitconnect if it is succeed. But after the fallen of Bitconnect and everything is fallen with it also.
People lose their trusts , their hope on lending coin and lending coin leave the first position in ICO market for traditional coin.

Yeah, spotting a good ICO is really hard when the whole market right now is a mess, so many ICOs was announced and most of them are just bullshits, they got nothing in their project at all.

I look for coins that dip after ICO and I buy them. Recently I've bough CPX and PRG. Both are under-valued. Utility coins which will have real-clients and use-case in 2018. For a coin, this is the biggest achievement, that it is being used for real TXs and real humans. Check these coins out.

I believe that ICO is worth investing in, but in small amounts that you can lose. It is necessary to study the project, to get acquainted with the views of experts. Good projects raise capital already on pre-ICO, so I go in them and get bonuses from 20% to 50%. I believe that many projects, if they are really good in the future will be to raise capital that is at pre-ICO

Investing in ICO is a risky decision.
You don't know that the project is really going to happen or it's just on paper.
Please research about the team and project before investment.
