So from the beginning of 2018, till about a couple of weeks ago, all coins suffered huge dump and went quite low from what they were at the end of 2017.
But now, the tides are changing and slowly all are going upwards again as the bitcoin has also started moving upwards.

Now, please share the coins you think are gonna go boom till the end of 2018 from now.
What are your picks?

If you just look at some charts, you can see clear pictures of which altcoins are rising on a steady rate.
Among the top 10 coins, EOS is having the best run.
Among the top 20, NEM is another coin thats seeing a promising rise.

In my own opinion ENT, ETH and Nem will boom this year.I still believe on electroneum its too cheap now because of FUD but it has a great potential and nice marketing strategy but the only problem is the technical/dev works. And onther coin is the ETHEREUM this coin will be sky rocket this year i feel it and it might hit 2k usd or more this has huge potential and very promising coin next to bitcoin. And my last choice is NEM ,its very promising altcoin too and nice technical chart too. Just hold and buy more because i believe its still cheap.

2017 was a very fun year for those invested in Cryptocurrencies! We have reached the point where it is more likely that a random stranger has heard of Bitcoin rather than having never heard of it. Rewind a year ago and it was likely that less than 10% of your friends knew what Bitcoin was.
I looked up the price of several cryptocurrencies on the 15th day of each month in 2017 and put together the numbers on what $50 would have purchased on that day and then what a $50 per month investment on that day would have returned at the end of the year.
So, if you invested $50 per month in Bitcoin every 15th day of the month for the entire year of 2017 (equaling $600 invested) how much money would you have now? Well, I did the math for you, and you would have approximately 0.3104 of a Bitcoin equalling roughly $4,350. That would be almost 10x the $600 you invested which is a fantastic ROI. Of course we are in a dip right now so at its ATH price you would have had roughly $5,963.
If you invested $50 per month into Litecoin on the 15th day of each month you would have approximately 50.31 Litecoins at todays price your $600 investment would have returned $12,124. At its ATH price you would have had $19,017.

As you said it yourself, all the coins have started their up surges and I would like to think that almost every coin that is in the top 100 will have some 50-100-200% gain by the end of 2018 year.

But to pick the best one who will provide more than 100x this year, here is the list.

IOST - Already on major exchanger like binance and surpassingly receiving huge volume of buy walls. This is just been four months and this coin has started to boom like anything.
ETH - As speculated already ETH is going to bit the market of almost top 10 alts in terms of market cap and might just receive alarming rates of 2500 USD and more that too before the mid year ends!
SCL - It stands at 700 rank in the CMC list but its progress is beyond the timeline and hence makes it my choice of coin. The expected rise is around 5-10USD by the end of this year and currently it stands at 20 cents only.

Indeed electronic currencies have risen back since the Bitcoin market rallied. I always believe in the increasing value of BTC and ETH. In addition, NEM, BCH are also potential high value currencies in 2018.

I already have my targets for this year. I have invested into some and i am still investing. There are some coins i personal projected will do significantly well and they are Ethereum, NEO, KCS, OMG, XRP and TRX. These coins, if not all, will give there investors good profit at the end if 2018. There are some other coins that are presently very low and they are good for buy. Some of them are; ETN, Lala, DRG and some other few ones.

Actually after a long time crypto market is increasing and too many alts are pumping.
I think it's all about pumping time. I believe this will be a stability year.

In my portfolio I have some coins which was purchased last month here is the list

in these lists still now Ethereum and waves make me gainer.

It looks like now the bullish trend has started and now most of the coins are increasing in price and bitcoin is also moving up so it looks like we will see all of them on the moon. I am hoping this bullish trend will remain for sometime and all the coins which go high in prices.

I think there are many coins which have a good chance to increase it's price to the moon this year. EOS, Cardano, IOTA, Litecoin, NEO, Monero, and IOST is top on this list. Ethereum is another good standing coin to move upward (to the moon). Also, we shouldn't ignore Binance Coin.

Just study the graph of Alts  in CMC you can find a promising tokens/coins there.
There lots of new alts actually that are gaining right now.

What about Verge (XVG) ? recently it's hits 0.1 usd.
But MONA maybe one of the most stable in price ?
And many other unique coins that has this pattern.
Will they worth to HODL ?

I think this is the bottom to make some nice entry and then wait for bulls to come back and make us some gain.

I choose monero and OMG, not being some kind of expert but as I see the chart the flow of the line this previous month seems a kind of straight but currently ity has some upward and is now rocking, the price fluctuates but roll up in an hour. However, ethereum also seems creating force this months to make a push forward to it's price, maybe by the end of the year 1k + would be but if more LEGIT and good ICO comes out then ETH would possibly reach 2k and up.

My picks which I believe are going to reach heights this year are Monero, Ethereum.
Monero provides you with complete anonymity in its transactions and due to its ring signature makes them untraceable. This makes it a great potential coin for the future.
Ethereum is the most promising coin currently. Since its origin in 2016, the coin has shown an increase by 1100% and also its idea of smart and ledger contracts which can hold state and arbitary code is quite revolutionary. The coin also has one of the best development teams behind it and hence will lead to good returns in the future.

I am also glad that some of my altcoins are growing well despite the fall of bitcoin.

Most of the altcoins will follow Bitcoin model in terms of price rise or fall, may be few coins have a different pump and dump method but mostly it will follow Bitcoin price. I think the drive happens with the base of Bitcoin and Ethereum for all other alt coins. The trend of all altcoins observations tells me this and may be I'm wrong or may be right.

In this time, when the exchange rate of all cryptos is uptrends, I think ADA is the most potential coin. I pick Cardano (ADA) because I believe that ADA will go to the moon in the next 8 months. This charts of ADA show that the peak of rate was in January 2018, it was $1.28, and next 8 months, it is going to reach at $2 of the exchange rate, make the new record of ADA in cryptocurrency market.

Cardano has certainly received a lot of good press since its release. I am still waiting to make my first purchase of it but I am sure it will rise by end of year.

But some coins will boom more than expected in 2018 IMO. Currently I'm following IOST, ETN, INSN, EOS, ADA, LYMPO, ETH, TRX and so many other good coins/tokens.

This should easily double in the near term because there are a lot of bag holders and should be way more valuable long term. There are many altcoins that are going to the moon very soon and one of those coin is Iost!  This is not because I am promoting them but because for the past two weeks Iost has outperform most of the new coins in the market. I have been trying to study the market's behavior of other coins and I think coins like bitcoin cash, ethereum and zcash are also on there ways to the moon.

Almost all of them have grown well. But they will certainly grow even more before the end of the year.

After a long stagnation the market will start to grow.

It seems to me that these coins have great prospects for the coming years, their price should increase several times.

With regard to your post i believe it is a good point of discussion and with it we can reflect various aspects of the market and one of them we can prove to such a market downturn is the demand of investors for projects that have promised many perspectives, on some occasions causing frustrations. I think that DRG, Litecoin, Etherium, Spectrecoin, Sether, TRON will go to the moon and soon, also reached a last maximum.

But, there are still a lot of coins that did not drop too much during the last few months, take a look over Ethereum as an example, it is only 30% down from it's all time high. The same for other coins that are on the top 10 too.

We are just getting out of the strong correction at the beginning of the year and it is still not very convenient to say that we are going through a strong rise in the market but we could take a position in some currencies that have strong projects and that are more stable thinking in the future. I think litecoin and monero could give the big surprise for the end of the years, with very good prices

There are some altcoin that good to choose for long term investment which has potential to grow and never lose its value. Not all altcoin can bring you to the moon but better currencies will give you good profit. Those coins that are popular and fully develop its usage can probably can not waste your investment and make you believe that it will give surprises on every changes happen on it.

I have confidence in the ripple and the ethereum. my target at the end of the year these coins will give you results for me at least up to 40%. Indeed it is difficult to predict but look at all the coin slowly ride I am sure can.

well that's the current, at the beginning of the year all the coins will have a big dump, and in the mid and late will start rising slowly if following the previous year's chart, if you ask advice from top 10 I think the most dominant eos today. top 20 maybe we can bet on TRX maybe and top 30 I choose VERGE.

If you invested in altcoin at the last bottom, then you can easily make x2 or x3 by now. My pick for this month is syscoin because they will release their masternode in a few days

But the release of masternodes does not mean that the price is going to make a x2 or x3 of the actual price, that is insane and i have never seen it happened before (and i am on cryptos by more than years)

In my opinion, ETH, the most potent and popular penny now, prices are likely to rise in the future.

Ripple and snovio, both are going to explde during this year, i am more than confident about those tokens.

I agree with you. Recently, BTC dominance has decreased significantly due to a large number of altcoins. I think it can play into the hands of many altcoins.

It is still early to say altcoins are going to moon, bitcoin is $9000, almost $10.000 away from ath so how are we going to moon?

In fact, looking at most of the altcoins right now, it is obviously that a lot of them are really showing great signs already and I believe they are obviously going to end up having a good year for most of them as it is right now.

EOS already started that run even during the bear phase and some of the news that came with the project and for that, I expect that they would still have a good run moving forward. Most of the top coins are already getting prepared for the bull run as I am beginning to see some pretty good spikes in some of them.

Why are you bothering these many coins? You are free to choose but out of care I am asking this, wouldn’t it be a way cumbersome to keep a track of all these coins? Much better is to hold 5 coins at most. Besides, you should reconsider your list. Neo, LSK are good choices but you are not with ETH, EOS, LTC and most of all BTC. These are better in giving profits.

I think that when NKN tokens come on the market, they will be very expensive. Why do I think so? Because I bought them at ICO. Seriously, all the blockchain have grown very well in price

The altars had already risen this year, it was important to go in the right place. Fortunately we came out in the right place and did not hurt, but some friends went down like this. If you do not know where to go and where to go, you can experience great losses.

Not sure I agree with BTC dominance being so low, sitting at %37 currently of the overall market cap. Also, as time goes on and more alts enter the space, BTC will get lower and lower in % dominance by default since new alts will take up more of the overall market cap as time goes on. Just my 2 cents.

This bunch has already brought me over 100% returns in the bear market, Fusion being my best of the bunch.

Still waiting on NEO, Nano and Blockport to make some big movements, Blockport is the one I'm banking on for biggest returns in the coming months, can see it doing 10x this year with ease.

Excited for Neblio and Bluzelle as a developer, the idea of making a project on Neblio with a Bluzelle database has me excited!

Still think BitBay takes the cake for an underrated market place coin and Nano is my favourite DAG coin.

Fusion was my cross chain pick and BOSCoin my innovation pick with it's trust contracts and self evolving system.

NEO is more my stable long term choice, tough choice between NEO and Eth but I went with NEO in the end.

My 2 largest bags are Neblio and Blockport, wish I put a bit more on Fusion but so be it.

...!! All coins are trying to fly to the moon, the bad things is, I think their spaceship crashed just after the take off, because they don't have enough preparation and they seems on rush that's why many fails to land on the moon.

The coin that can boom very strongly in the future is ETH. ANCHOR. ICX. XLM. TRX. XVG.ADA. These are very good coins and are very cheap. The future will boom very strongly. May end of June or July. altcoin will go to moon

Many of the coins mentioned here are also chosen by me. No one knows which of these will go to the moon. But if bitcoin and ether go to overwrite its previous highs, many coins will please us.

Personally main part of my portfolio consists of Bitcoin (35%) and Ethereum (20%). With 10-15% of my money I trade for short term period. The rest of the money I invested in coins like IOTA, Bitcooin cash, Cardano, Tron, Stratis, OmiseGO, Sia coin, ICON and Zcash.

I think that many crypto currency users expect at least to regain the previous position of prices for the etherium and Bitcoin. Because the figures are 1 300 and 20 000 dollars, respectively, quite attractive prices for these coins.

I believe most of the coins with very good projects should end up mooning and there is really no doubt about that which I believe those who bought them at the dip during accumulation period should have even started enjoying those benefits already right now. May to June is usually the period where alts normally have a good run when bitcoin is consolidating sideways.

I expect to see something like this occurring soon looking at the way money has been moving into the alts. I am vouching for ENG, COSS, SC, and NEM.

I would advise you to invest in EOS and NEO. Good coins that have many advantages over other coins. EOS already these days showed a crazy growth. And I do not think I'll grow up very soon! NEO has strong support in China and this is a very good factor for future growth.

I used to always choose only the ico company of Chinese origin. I believed that in their market there are no scammers and the quality of projects at a high level.

I think all altcoin will boom until the end of 2018, as long as the bitcoin trend will continue to rise and green for a long time
my advice if you want to hold altcoin until the end of the year to buy some coins like Ethereum, Cardano (ADA) and BCH. I think three coins will improve better development for the long term.

Alts will going to the moon this year so my picks that in my lists are eidoo, eth, neo, icx. I believe these coins will go to the moon this year like on eidoo they were license and always on update on their plaftform. More likely if demand is presents price follow.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.
I was asking myself what to do when cryptocurrency goes down and found out that the most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I will pick ETH BTC LTC IOTA. But LTC recently is not good. I expected it will reach 170 two weeks ago, now back from 165 to 145 and even lower. I am kinda doubt LTC is really good choice or not? Any suggestion?

If there is a rise like the end of 2017, all the money will rise..But those who work well and produce good projects will increase more..I think Neo, Eth, Hsr, Nebl and Qtum are some of them.

Well i would say , if bitcoin goes up all the other alts are going to go up as well .
It is the trend of the market . Al l the coins on the top 20 list of coinmarket can be invested on . my personal favorite are EOS , NEO , Ripple , IOST  , ETH and PayPie . These coins re expected to do wonders if the market is continuously  set to be green.     

Best option is to choose from projects/coins that didn't already rally in 2017.  Speedcash is one of those.  It's unknown, market supply of just 476k coins, it hit nr. 1 winner on coinmarketcap yesterday, it's WAY faster than most coins, working product, lots of innovation, active dev... And now you're all saying yeah well you just shilling the coin you just bought. Well, no... I shilled it when it was 30 cents, the when it was 90cents now it's $3,1 (x10 already) and given the market cap it could go to $50 without a problem. 

relatively to the etherium, I do not exactly doubt there, And even there are Big Hopes that in the near future its price will increase. Almost 80% of my portfolio I forwarded to eth and today I expect better prospects for the realization of my ideas.

Almost 10-15 days we are rising but not moon yet, if total marketcap can increase to 550-600 billion dollar, then we can see real moon at that time. We are waiting this and I hope it can be soon.

As I can see these two cryptocurrencies have very good potential but its price still very low, I think in this year, era of altcoin, these cryptocurrencies will go to the moon and reach to a new ATH price very soon. I am buying some atl token today after i run their testnet and read whole telegram messages. They will launch the platform soon and the token price is still below ico price. With only 54 million token total supply i think even $0.60 it is still undervalue and the properties niche is good.

Whenever bitcoin is on rise, majority of altcoin copy the king of crypto currencies.Believe me, if bitcoin starts declining today, there is no way that altcoins will keep on making progress. Whole of digital market depends on bitcoin for its future. The real reason is simple and sensible too. Its sitting around $3.2 now. IMO, that's only a pump. Seems it will be back to their initial price below than $1 soon. There is no way a token price could be pumped and stable more than 5x for long time.

Well personally i expect eth to follow btc and would soar high just like in 2017. Other alts that i foresee to go up are neo, ada, dogecoin, monero and ins. Ins would recover because its a good and potential alt. A lot of coins are showing strength and soon they will all recover and rise.

According to me coins with big volume but less than $1 have the maximum chance of pumping. Usually people havee mindset that coin with less dollar value are easy to pump and hence, usually go for investing in such coin. According to me coins like TRX, ADA, XLM etc have high chances of bounce by year end.

Yes above $0.1 and below $1 which all coins will come under this margin those coins will definitely increase, we have a number of coins so just pick only top 20 coins. I think what you chose TRX, ADA, XLM all these coins are high potential coins you can easily make a good profit from these coins. you can also include Ripple and NEM.

I think electroneum and UNIVERSA have great potential. Both tokens are still very cheap and I think you can earn at least 500% this year. Both tokens have a long way to go . The moon is getting closer  ;)

There are too many alts to choose from but, I think the most promising are GRFT, MONK, DIGIWAGE, and MAG. Master nodes and POS coins are the ones who have the possibility to have a huge % gain within this year. Also, you may want to look at some privacy coins. You may have to make your research first before investing in alts because of the risks involved with such.

I don't know anything about Sky. But all the other coins are already in my portfolio and I also expect them to grow well.

Now people are clever and well known about the market strategy. After big coins altcoins only takes place, in older days they invest in big coins only. Because they can easily take the profit from short time itself. But now the market is not so good for both the coins. So they planned to invest half of the investment in big coin and half of the investments in altcoins. Now there are so many promising altcoins with high potential and shows their good growth. And it is good for long term investments. Many good projects are now coming based on so many altcoins. So definitely the altcoins price are also boomup and it will touch the moon.

Just be patient, altcoins have their own time. Bitcoin is having the attention nowadays because it is the driver of the crypto prices but once it settled down or consolidating then altcoins would soar then. I think that altcoins that go to the moon in the future, especially we will hold bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin Ripple and Neo, because the price development is now getting better, so we will also get more profits.

Good example ;D I agree that previously unknown projects have the biggest chances to show the biggest growth BUT is also has the biggest chances to stay unknown forever...So very risky deal

 If you really want to make massive profit from a small investment than its best you pick some smaller cap coins that are flying under the radar at the moment. Larger cap coins will obviously make you good profit but it’s the smaller cap coins that could really bring you amazing returns.. My two picks are Bread token and Spectrecoin. Both solid projects.

I'm reading about Ubex lately and it seems one of the ICOs that have been profitable in this bear market. I hope it holds the price but it will lose all it's gains if the bear market stays mid term, as almost every other altcoin.

There are a lot of indeed cool alts with a super prices now on the market BUT there is no confirmation of the upward trend for BTC yet and thats the problem.. If it goes even more down then we will see even more attractive prices for alts

Any investment in any alts is very risky! I have earlier ( 2 weeks ago) bought ETH as thought it was the bottom ! But now it has even more in BTC equivalent! So Im already have looses with such a mass adopted alt as ETH

There are so many alternate coins that has a bigger chance of going to the moon but we just don't know when it will start to launch from its launch pad. Those alternate coins that are in high ranks can possibly be the easy recipients for the journey to the moon anytime soon, IMO.

It is very difficult to say at this time because all altcoins go down and there are thousands of tokens in the crypto market. But there are some good tokens in the crypto market and it can hit the moon near the future. Here are my prediction tokens ( Bitcoin, Ethereum, NEO, Bitcoin Cash, Ontology ) I think these all can hit the moon near the future. Lots of solid altcoins with great fundamentals are gonna moon,  coins like Neo,  Pundi X,  Ethereum,  and so many more,  it's better to buy now that most of them are in their all time low,  because they can't get it cheaper at the current price before year end

All of these coins has the higher potentials to grow faster this year as long as we don't lose out grip on the challenges that we're facing right now. Hopefully more holder will stay intact with their faith in bitcoin cryptocurrency, so that the coins will not drop that bad of it's value in the market tradings.

Even though there are several major coins however this six cryptocurrency have gained attraction for some investors and certainly very feasible for us to consider.

It's really tough to say what coins will prosper from now untill the end of 2018 as the market is still very bearish. I honestly don't anticipate any big movement until the end of 2018 and beginning of 2019. So for me now is really a time of accumulation. If i had to put money on which coin  will handle the bear market the best in 2018 I'd lean toward one the top coins and I'd probably go with NEO. But if I'm looking at which coin will net the best return for 2019 and is at a great accumulation zone for right now I would go with Spectrecoin, XSPEC. Xspec is a low cap POS privacy coin that has an ambitious roadmap and plans on unveiling Stealth Staking by Q1 2019, this will allow people to stake their private balances. I think Litecoin is a good bet.  At $66 a coin it is vastly undervalued and it has liquidity, volume, and generally follows btc.

there are some altcoins that really active to develop the platform and tried to get the new innovation. look at some coins just like CRPT and EDO both of projects are gradually increase. EDO release the crypto backed by gold and CRPT has a very useful app that can be used to pay our bill.

I am not currently convinced that the price of the Altcoin will reach the moon. Altcoin prices almost fell overall, and to reach the previous highest price it will take a very long time.

There are few alts that even increase it's value up to 1000% which I saw in coinmarketcap. But there are quit a lot who drop from a good price to a not so good price. It decrease is also something to do with the decrease in bitcoin. I'm just hoping that some alts that I have will regain its value and their projects will fully materialize. Good luck :)

I think ADA is a VERY promising project for 2019 and we should keep an eye on it. It is pretty cheap rn, perfect time to buy and hold. Patience is the key to success. Zilliqa and NEO are my other choices. NEO has performed particularly well in the past, it is just a matter of time until the price skyrockets again. Zilliqa is dormant but wait for it...
