Maybe such an issue has already been met, but I have not heard. What do you think if Facebook releases its coin? Is the success of this coin?

I guess Facebook will have a lot of success because it is a huge company and can afford to advertise. Also as FB is an advertising ecosystem in itself it will do it's own level or marketing just on it's own Social network. I have heard that Facebook is getting blockchain experts to evaluate the blockchain but how true is it a fact that Facebook will create its own coin? Do you have a source I can read more about it to back up this claim? I am interested to read more about it and thanks in advance also.

Well honestly this is such a good idea but along the success journey of facebook they not belong their own coin on the path maybe they're not focus on the cryptoworld unless they've become involve to crypto rather than the netizen alone, they will promote their own coin it depends if it is success or not.

I'm betting it would be very successful if ever Mark decides to venture on cryptocurrencies. Facebook has already billions of users and on that billion, there would always be people who will be enticed to join and invest in the project imply because it is Facebook.

It would gain much traction, that is for sure. The rest depends on the quality of the project. In any case, it is not surprising that the big players want to join the wagon, and it would be a fantastic positive marketing for cryptos.

I have not even heard anything about it yet. If Facebook will launch its coins in this  crypto world, then they will bring a new revolution in social media by blockchain system.

Yes they will succeed if create their own cryptocurrency, facebook users very much and they can take advantage of its users. We know, facebook recently announced that they ban cryptocurrency, hopefully with blindly cryptocurrency itself Mark Zukerberg can take the decision to accept cryptocurrency. And I'm sure cryptocurrency users will wait when facebook will make cryptocurrency, because if we made investing in facebook coin it will promising. This indirectly will make cryptocurrency known by many people, because they will make ads on facebook and can be seen by all users.

I think it would be very successful. They have a huge platform for advertising and people are likely to trust them and their coin. That being said, I don't believe they will release a coin.

Unfortunately they are not using blockchain technology in identifying fake news/account. Here in the Philippines, where tons of fake news spread like wildfire, they employed a third party to check the authenticity of the news article. After that, they are reporting to Facebook then it will take action.

Facebook has only expressed interest in the blockchain technology no creating a new coin from what i have been reading. and even if they release their own coin it will make a lot of noise and will get a lot of people into the crypto-space but in the end it will be a centralized useless coin and people will never choose it over decentralized currencies such as bitcoin.

Yeah I remember that but no one focused attention to it as it only looks like online game credits to purchase facebook items/products during that time. As crypto's emerging now that's what facebook credit intended to be used. We are not aware of it before but now that crypto's are on mainstream, everyone will notice.

in my personal opinion i  think that Facebook launching its own crypto currency would actually help BTC a lot , as more and more people would get to know about crypto currencies through the FBC [ Facebook coin] as they would do advertisement for their crypto on their app which is used by a approximately  2.19 billion people across the globe .

I do not think Facebook will play its coin and will be appearing in the Crypto market. Because Facebook is already on the market, there is no reason for them to be on the Crypto market.
I think they have enough credibility and talent to raise more capital without the help of the Crypto market. But I think they will invest in some of the technology-related altcoins.

They have more than enough money for it, but is there any good reason for them to do it? They already are earning tons of money off facebook and instagram. Of course they wan't more profit, but their alt-coin project might fail, this way they would even lose money. Also who would be interested in this coin? It would end up like other useless coins.

I don't like the idea of big corporations launching their own currencies. The whole idea of blockchain is decentralization. The sad thing is that ICO would be sold in seconds and that people don't care about the true idea of blockchain...they only care about the ROI.

I doubt if they ever will because they don't need that right now, they have a very good business model and they are making a huge profit, they will be questioned once they've done that, but we'll see it's too early to tell if they are going to that.

Well i think if facebook truly wanted to release its own coin, i bet many people will be interested in that. Since facebook is a large and popular company, and people trust facebook. They're kinda dependable but everything depends on what kind of coin they will release though. Will it be something great and have a potential, or just a coin that sells using facebook popularity.

Just how many Facebook users are there? Quite a lot! So if Facebook releases its own coin, I would bet that it will be a huge success due to the support it will surely get. Facebook is a big company. I can not answer, because it has not really happened. but in every case it could happen. I think though Facebook can issue its own krypton. this certainly can not be a guarantee to beat bitcoin. because after all the bitcoin is superior which does not have the ruler behind its existence.

There is no confirmed news from Facebook that says they are working on any internal cryptocurrency but if they are doing it then I am sure that it will be similar to the Facebook credit system that we have seen in the past. We will be able to use the Facebook coin to send payments and buy ads on that platform. Mark the founder CEO of Facebook does not need money anymore for he have tremendous money already. In case Facebook will developed their own coin then I assume it is all because of crypto currency adaptation to make everything under control such as legit and scam ICO. If Facebook releases its own coin then I think it will increase its popularity and its value will be enormous. Because we know the number of billionth usage of Facebook in the world. I think it would be a smart move, but I guess it would depend on the use of the coin. Would you get paid for your content in said crypto? (similar to Steemit). Will you be able to pay for their games, ads and what not? Would it be limited to FB or would other merchants accept it?

I think if facebook launches its cryptocurrency facebook seems to be able to make the movement of digital currencies like bitcoin and some other altcoin can trigger the price movement of some coin that exist, hopefully coin created from facebook can give a very good effect keapda all other cryptocurrency .

Facebook is better off releasing a token on a platform like Ethereum instead of trying to create its own coin as platforms like Ethereum have the required network security and distribution of its nodes all over the world. Also Facebook has been quite negative about crypto currencies so I don't think they are coming up with their own coin.

First of all this will be great for the industry in terms of publicity. i would expect face books coin to do very well once it is released because Facebook is the leading social media outlet and its customer base is huge which would mean the almost all of its members are prospective customers.It has also been shown that they can influence the decision making process of its members, Facebook offers a good product and that alone would push the price of its coin as their track record would have people scrambling to get some of their coins which would drive up the price as one would expect that demand for it to be high.

If Facebook creates its own crypto currency, its popularity will depend on the degree of implementation as a means of payment and emission conditions. In any case, it is unlikely to replace bitcoin, because 1) it is centralized 2) it is subject to US law.

Every company can use the blockchain technology but that does not mean that they need to create a coin that is being traded in any exchange, it can be a private blockchain project rather than a public one. I do not think so that facebook will start a new crypto, but they might integrate the blockchain technology at some capacity. What is the real use of every company starting their own coin.

If I were Facebook managers ( :D) I would make their own mining network connecting all the FB users to it.

Well, your explanation of the possibility of Facebook adapting blockchain to their system makes more sense. There are many things that can be done with blockchain, not just about cryptocurrency.

Well, it has a lot of users - over 2 billion - so they receive a huge amount of interest, and therefore sell a lot. I believe they have a team, who are looking at how best to use blockchain tech across Facebook. And of course, one of Facebook's biggest problems is privacy - they could use blockchain to help resolve this, and restore faith in the multi billion dollar company.

Maybe they could make a coin for some facebook influencers that could benefit both of them. Also, they would be an additional number of investors that could greatly make a facebook an extremely god tier platform not just for socializing but also investing.
