they make crypto currencies themselves because they want to have control over their currencies. this is contrary to decentralized crypto currencies. although I think they will have difficulties regarding the anonymity of their users.

Those are not real crypto-currencies. Those are just digital versions of the fiat currency, similar to Paypal or Skrill. A crypto-currency should be decentralized. It can't be issued by any central bank.

Well, Ripple is centralized and many people call it a revolutionary cryptocurrency which will be widely used in the future. I am not surprised that so many banks started working with them. In order to create a new XRP address, you have to pay 20 XRP. Your account might be frozen anytime without any warning. Some countries such as Estonia and the Switzerland might create their own decentralized cryptocurrencies since they understand what it is all about.

I do not think that it will going to work for central banks are working with a centralized currency and that would be difficult to manage both systems that are relatively opposite to each other. However, if they can push this project through with cryptocurrency then this would be a game changer in for central banks could really help individual to lend some money/crypto if possible and crypto demand will going to rise that much.

Makes sense to me, but I still think that it's an improvement over what we have now in the world and some sort of contribution to mass adoption of cryptocurrencies. People will still get to know blockchain and learn how to deal with crypto wallets. The main potential difference from fiat could be that national cryptocurrencies can have limited supply and bring the end to serious devaluation of currencies. Also, no fake money and no accidentally destroyed money (paper becomes old and unrelaible with time and it's also naturally not protected from mud, wated, fire etc.). As people learn how to use official cryptocurrencies, it will be easier for them to turn to the ones we are used to as well.

Any cryptocurrency issued by the government that is intended to replace their fiat currency and/or somehow boost their economy through their own fiat currency is bad overall for their economy. There is literally no new money coming inside your country, no foreign investors involve in investing in your country's cryptocurrency which means you are just literally cycling your country's money without really any benefit for both parties. As a result inflation rises and the government's solution will just make them go down in a much deeper place compared to where they used to before. You can look at the present government-issued cryptos and see for yourself that it didn't help their country at all.

That is a wise decision because it will boost the trust to cryptocurrency and will also promote how it works. If that happens, that central bank who created their own cryptocurrency will surely support bitcoin and ethereum right? If that happens and if that goes well, other banks will be envied or be curious which will follow the footsteps of that central bank. The demand for bitcoin, ethereum and other altcoins will rise again which will be better than what happened last year. Once that central bank raised an ICO, that will be historical for sure!

If governments really issue their own crypto currencies, those peoole who don't believe in bitcoin will be interested to buy and trade through these currencies.
There will be no anonymity and the price will be not much volatile like bitcoin.
Also some pros and cons will differ in between centralized and decentralized currencies

I see advantaged and disadvantages of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology that will be issued and regulated by the government. One of its advantages is investors and recognition by its people and it can potentially increase the governments assets, on the other hand one of its disadvantages is that it could be used by politicians against its people or in corruption and we will never know it as there are many politicians that are very manipulative.

Some countries have existed e-money of the Central Bank for decades.

I think that the possibility of Central Banks to replace this money with a cryptocurrency, which will have even more functionality than cash, and, very importantly, will exist on the basis of a “separate operating structure”, is already being considered.

Yes, it can be a major solution for those who want to get full security and control from the government, I don't think it's the best of decentralized cryptocurrency, what we think is that the public interest in centralized crypto will be swollen because now? this is not a guarantee of good security, here we still have security depending on the personality of how to maintain security, I am not too fond of being centralized after feeling the benefits of decentralization.

If any government creates a centralized crypto currency then there is nothing new on this wd can just use the current digital transaction for better and faster if any country create their own decentralized cryoto currency it is also not much needed because we already have 1800+ crypto currencies.

A cryptocurrency issued by the government is a mockery by definition: the real crypto are decentralized and have no constraints or boundaries.
When it is issued by the government, it becomes a normal electronic money and no longer has anything as a crypto.

Any cryptocurrency that is government backed is devoid of control and will be therefore highly centralized. Their prices will be the determined by the governments that created in the first place and their supply controlled. For me, it's just a digitalized version of their national currencies.

I think that government issued cryptocurrencies are substitutes. Those are fake cryptocurrencies meant to confuse people and make them choose currencies that are endorsed by  the governments and completely under their control. Some people will not realize that and think they're putting their money into an alternative and independent form of money but it will all be a lie.

Well, Ripple is centralized and many people call it a revolutionary cryptocurrency which will be widely used in the future.

To this day I still don't understand how XRP managed to sneak into the cryptocurrency category. It bears no resemblance to any of the factors that I'd consider make a valid coin.

As for a government issued crypto, look to China and its drive towards cashlessness because that's what it would look like. It would award governments total control over their population in a way the current lash up of a system does not. With a few presses of buttons they could bail in, inflate, impose negative interest rates, cut you off from any spending at all, censor who you spend with, analyse every single transaction and plenty else. Without cash and with nowhere else to go other than government controlled wallets and banks you're locked into a system that there's no way out of.

A government crypto would make the current discontent with the state of things look like child's play. It would be one move deeper into an absolute nightmare.

I agree with your opinion that it is not cryptocurrency. It is a very convenient system for the government to catch transactions of funds, so it will make us be uncomfortable situation because we are always monitored by the government. But there is an inconvenient aspect for government too. Officials will not be able to receive bribes.

for countries that receive crypto, they on average want to make their own coins. but for countries that refuse, the government continues to give negative news and threatens to close bitcoin exchangers. I think that while it does not harm the state, the government has no right to close the Bitcoin exchanger, because all the risks are borne by the bitcoin users themselves. so don't worry too much about the risk of losing from bitcoin investment, but the profit that can be gained from bitcoin investment. the government should know about it so that all countries accept bitcoin and make their own coins.

That is actually the fact. So in that case, we might as well just call it a digital currency on the blockchain. One thing I am pretty certain of is that government will most definitely not want to bring about some decentralized system into the fiat space knowing the way they will be giving up control as a result of that.

Government will always still want to make economic policies, find a way to still control the way people spend and transact, but as things are, we all know this is something decentralization kicks out. The main benefit here would be for a government that is actually ready to kick against corruption using the transparency of the blockchain technology; and by ready, I totally mean every single part of it,.

that means there will be government intervention that will make the financial center with the crypto system and of course there will be no decentralized systems like bitcoin or other crypto currencies, and I think that systematically the same as fiat, crypto is not real physically.

Government coin, ahh, that would be the most cheapest thing I might buy in the coming days. Lets pretend for a while that government ever issues their own coins then surely most of the people will buy it because they will have more trust over it. It will have solid proof of working and it may happen that it will be used everywhere in the public places for sure. All the government services might just be availed through it and thus its demand will always be high. This could be very very interesting coin and thus might just take down other crypto currency that we see today. But as I said this is just pretending but happening of this could be big judgement day.

This is not even going to be one way or the other; it definitely will be centralized as there is no two other ways about it. We all know the thing governments generally all over the world have against not being in control which decentralization brings and I am very sure as time goes on, even as they tend to start getting into the space, they certainly would want to keep that control aspect intact which in that case, the only thing that would ever come out of government would be centralized.

However, it will be a good thing anyway as this should bring about some level of transparency when it comes to spending generally, straight from the leaders to the last person on the chain.

That is the plan of some governments including some large international banks to issue their own virtual currency to counter the growing popularity of cryptocurrencies. Governments are use to control monetary policies and the economy so expect the virtual coin to be a centralized one so they can easily control the flow of transactions. The government might even urge its citizens to buy their centralized coins instead of the cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.

The trouble is definitely the both worlds do not collide together. If the governments or the banks of those governments try to somehow make it work for both crypto currencies and the regular fiat currencies there will definitely be a conflict of interest. First of all the crypto currencies the governments push would be highly centralized currencies, which goes against the idea of the bitcoin and followed coins to begin with. Combine that with the fact that the banks will probably own almost all of it and just let it go whenever they need money to increase funds for the government, it would be horrible boat to get in.

As for a government issued crypto, look to China and its drive towards cashlessness because that's what it would look like.
Yeah, thanks but no thanks.  I think most societies are moving toward being cashless, but my impression is that this is being driven by citizens and not government, i.e., people much prefer to use either debit/credit cards or their phones to pay for everyday things and at least in the US it's not being promoted by the government.

One of the biggest advantages bitcoin has over other electronic forms of payment is that it's relatively anonymous.  Not completely anonymous, but far more so than a debit card is--and it's not issued by the government or the banks.  I've read some threads on the forum about government-sponsored crypto, and I can't say I'd be a big fan of that if it was introduced in my country.  It would be just another way for the prying eyes of gov't to see what you're buying or who you send money to.  At least with cold, hard cash there's no real way to tell where it's going to unless you track serial numbers on the paper currency.  And hell, there's no way at all to track coinage that I know of.

We'll see what happens with China.  I'm glad the experiment is being done over there and not in Europe or N. America.  I don't think it's a good idea from a privacy standpoint and I'm hoping it never catches on.

This is what I think as well. They may regulate the usage of cryptocurrencies by just letting the people exchange the government-issued cryptocurrency into fiat and if people wanted to buy bitcoin then they should buy first their cryptocurrency before they can exchange it to bitcoin. In that way, they can still monitor the transactions and know the people who are buying and selling those coins because they would have to enforced KYC as well.

Of course it will be very good, and certainly will be accepted by the community, because the issuing is the government. And of course, if this Bitcoin can be accepted by a government, then bitcoin will be very developed in the country. Therefore, one of the most important factors in the development of Bitcoin is the government's participation in it. The government created Cryptocurrency, it must be crowded.

A digital version of a country's fiat makes sense, and could be the first step to cryptocurrency adoption, don't you think? If they could digitized their fiat, it's only a matter of time until they start using bitcoins as well, or creating their own crypto for real.

That's what blows my mind. I can't believe people aren't thinking this through. Paranoia aside, basing an entire country's spending on the dependability of a couple of card companies and a handful of banks is fooking barking.

In the UK there've been multiple moments of chaos when banking has crapped out.

At least Western cashlessness is a bit more segregated than the Chinese version. There most people spend through their Wechat account which basically offers up every detail, thought and preference of your entire life. The ideal place to turn off the taps.

A real dumb idea and practically they have no single clue. Government issued digital currency will simply just be like the regular fiat that has been on ground right from the onset, and the only thing that would make it different is that there is nothing like having to print money or something and everything is done on the blockchain but in the end, nothing changes the fact that it would remain centralized and as long as it is centralized, it should not even be considered as a cryptocurrency at all.

We keep complaining everyday about how XRP is so centralized, or how USDT is going to implode one day for going shady deals, how are we so sure anything that comes from some particular government will not tend towards the same zone.

The only difference between the cryptocurrency being  issued by private company or a country is that the country can't technically go bankrupt and the coin can't become a scam. But if we think about value, then it depends how the certain coin will be backed.

It doesn't seem stupid if any government around the world issued cryptocurrency to her citizens. One thing is sure in this case, that, the said cryptocurrency issued by the government will neither be a decentralized cryptocurrency rather a centralized platform for transacting digital currency.

................is that the country can't technically go bankrupt and the coin can't become a scam.
On a clear note, the country can experience bankrupt even though it's tagged to cryptocurrency. The best about this cryptocurrency is that, it can never be a scam unlike what we are experiencing on coins without value.

It is probably useless because each country having a local currency value that not rely on bitcoin price, so if they have digital currency I think it becomes a shitcoins just like other altcoins in market cap. It is probably useless because each country having a local currency value that not rely on bitcoin price, so if they have digital currency I think it becomes a shitcoins just like other altcoins in market cap. Yes, it might be that coins have no value at all.
In the near future, many states or central banks of these states will issue their own cryptocurrency. This has already been announced by many of them. I believe that this will only help people, and decentralized cryptocurrency, and the state. We need to wait for the appearance of such coins and see how they will work. It is clear that this cryptocurrency will be fully controlled by the government of these states, however, we now need the experience of walking such cryptocurrencies. It seems that they will simply complement the possibilities of national money and will walk predominantly on the territory of these states.

The only difference between the cryptocurrency being  issued by private company or a country is that the country can't technically go bankrupt and the coin can't become a scam. But if we think about value, then it depends how the certain coin will be backed.

I don’t know about the other coins but for me bitcoin is the best coin, I think all of us should invest at the moment, now all over the world almost all companies are issuing the bitcoin to their employs, it is good progress to our income with our investment, scamming happens because of our carelessness if we will not show carelessness so we will only earn no one can scam our bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency issued by governments are centralised coins they are just replacement of fiat currency
Exactly, nothing will ever change that and absolutely no country will ever come up with a cryptocurrency that is decentralized and they have no control over.

We should not even be debating this, looking at the attitude government has put up on the idea of decentralization over the years and apparently, the only thing we are going to be seeing is just another fiat on the blockchain that is purely centralized, the same economic policies generally that has been ongoing still applies to it and the only difference is going digital. Sure, we may see some transparency when it comes to spending by the government.

Those are not real crypto-currencies. Those are just digital versions of the fiat currency, similar to Paypal or Skrill. A crypto-currency should be decentralized. It can't be issued by any central bank.
it is very true what you convey the possibility of the government developing a currency system such as the performance of crypto currencies along with the development of technology and the progress of the times of course

I am OK with government issued cryptocurrency if those governments respect the decentralization, limited supply and security of their blockchain.
Furthermore, it is also important how the governments do the coins allocation. Majority of the supply must be distributed to the public by using a fair method.

Venezuela have already issued its own cryptocurrency to help its ailing economy and tame down its hyper inflation. Many central banks from several countries are also planning to issue their own cryptocurrency or token to counter the growing popularity of bitcoin. But governments might have no plans to create a decentralized virtual currencies because they can't effectively control it.

Governments and their central banks are entitled to issue and will issue their own centralized cryptocurrency. It will be something like a new form of non-cash money. Let them experiment. While we can not say exactly what will come of it. Here, non-cash national money will get some more advantages of cryptocurrency.
I do not think that the decentralized cryptocurrency will be somehow worse from this. On the contrary, in my opinion, the general interest in cryptocurrency will grow.

blockchain is decentralize. which means everyone can make  their own crypto. which include government. whether it will be widely accepted by public its another topic.
This is not a very difficult task to launch your own coin and in fact takes some dollars and a portion of your time to do so but to launch a perfect coin, with a perfect project, that can attract investors and that can make lives easier by allowing very cheap transactions is very difficult.

It also requires a team of highly efficient IT professionals. But of course the technology would not be used by the citizen of another country and might be affected by the political relations between different countries therefore i think that launching a coin like Bitcoin in the market in next to impossible.

Cryptocurrency issued by any government is no longer Crypto - it is just currency that uses blockchain technology. I put it this way because the government will not issue anything without its own interest, thus if they issue Cryptocurrency it is bound to lose its essential properties - decentralization and anonymity.

The only thing is that it will not be beneficial for the government, as blockchain is transparent and almost impossible to control, that`s supposed to bring end to frauds and corruption. I wouldn`t count on government Crypto in this case.

Nah, I wouldn’t buy that. Any coin that is issued by the government won’t be any as good as Bitcoin is. Bitcoin is complete freedom and I don’t care about the fact that it is volatile or being manipulated by the people, cause I’m pretty sure that the government wouldn’t be an exception; any coin issued out by the government will also be manipulated, this time around it wouldn’t be by the people but by some hands in government. So I’m not interested in government.
can be seen at this time, there are some countries that have released their own coins, but i think that there are still few people, maybe only certain people. we can see in cryptocurrency ranking, where they don't succeed

A cryptocurrency issued by a government, with a central bank, is stupid by definition.
Bitcoin is born decentralized precisely to remove power from states and banks; in the moment a crypto is emitted by the state, it is just usual fiat money in electronic format.

If it's issues by a government I would doubt it's very decentralized and so I wouldn't think it's true to the vision of what a cryptocurrency should be. Though Japan have been very forward thinking and I wouldn't be surprised if they had a currency that was somehow tied to their own currency but without such a level on control.

It is actually a matter of concern for the government only if the policies formulated by the government are not in accordance with the cryptocurrency. In my country and in majority of the developing countries, it is of course a matter of concern for the government because it disturbs the policies that have been built around the fiat system which helps control the unemployment and inflation which are the core problems for any nation. So this new system is not liked due to these reasons.

I do not find these any further improvement over regular fiat. Regular fiats are not too much "banknotes" anymore anyway, we are here talking about how much money we have and we spend it and so forth all via our debit cards and credit cards and all of our money is tied to a bank account that shows numbers and when we pay it to someone else it changes hands and my numbers go down and wherever I gave my money gets their numbers higher thanks to it.

All of money changing hand is digitized right now and there are really only a few places we use cash anymore and spending cash got littler and littler with time. So I do not think having a crypto currency issued by a government would really make a huge difference anyway considering we already have a digital currency by the government anyway.

I don’t really know how it’s going to be for other countries, but judging from my own country government, if that should happen then we are finished. Doing such means creating a way for them to even make away with people’s money without being traced. I do know that Bitcoin can be traced, but not in a place like my country, they will always make away with their evil acts. So I’m not support in government taking over.

Apparently, why won't it be stable? Have you forgotten that anything that will have to come from the government will be centralized and therefore controlled? It won't be any different from the fiat we have been used to over the years as far as I am concerned. I would not even consider anything that comes from the government as cryptocurrency as it would most definitely not have the decentralized features. The only difference I will only see here is the fact that it at least bring about some transparency when it comes to the system of governance spending somehow.

I’m not support in government taking over.
I believe most people here will not support a government based crypto. Because it will kill all the freedom for which we do have these decentralized coins. Bitcoin is having many amazing features only just due to the concept of decentralization. If those things will not available with a coin, why we should adopt them ?

That is the thing! The main reason why a lot of us are here today is because of the great potential and freedom we see with decentralization without having to involve a third party in our transactions, that is something that we will most definitely not get to see with anything that comes from the government.

We all know the response of the government to things that have to do with decentralization and not having control, so apparently, we cannot expect government to come up with something they cannot control and at the end, I will only see it as a new fiat in the digital form just like we have tether and the likes now.

This is not bad if a country launches her own cryptocurrency because it will upgrade the economy to the digital system but again the cryptocurrency launched by the government will b controlled by the government and they will be able to impose the same taxes and charges that you may not need to pay in case of using a decentralized cryptocurrency.

Another disadvantage is that that the crypto launched by the government will only be used by the citizen and might not attract foreigners to invest so it will be merely a currency within the geographical boundaries.

It has its uses. I mean I do not think it could be a total "crypto currency" in the sense we know how it could be. It will be more like government tracking everyone's economics and money and doing whatever they want anyway while still controlling the public in a "big brother" sense however doing all kinds of non crypto currency stuff themselves with dollars and what not so it won't be really that much amazing but it would certainly be amazing to have it as an "option" so people can get more knowledgeable about the crypto world.

It is not common for countries to have their own crypto currency so it won't be easy but when it starts to get more common it would definitely help us out a lot for people who uses bitcoin and so forth because it would create an awareness about them as well. Say uk started a new coin called e-sterlin, that would only create more interest towards bitcoin in the end as long as it is not the only currency and still allowed to use fiat otherwise it could be dangerous.

They can always do that but i don't think they are on that trend of thinking, The issue of the government are the issue on Regulation control on crypto currency digital transaction in the market, if the people had a total acceptance on Crypto Currency Digital Transaction globally, the government should address these issue before the Crypto market will go into the mainstream market with out regulation.

It will be good than investing in bitcoin and Altcoin for governments, because investing now means money laundering. You will have to put your money in exchange and they will provide you cryptos. It is not overall good for the economy of a country. If the local banks have no or very small reserves, it will definitely affect the economy of a country. Government owns crypto will save them.

The idea of some governments issuing their own cryptocurrency is a good thing, but the intention behind this launching is what I perceive to be a bad one. They want to get involved and at the same time want to have control over everything. Whatever the outcome of their launching is, I believe people in this space are knowledgeable enough and can differentiate a centralised coin from a decentralized and from there, individuals can make the decision to follow the governmental route or the no man's land route.

- Stability and less volatility are certain when the government is always very afraid of someone to manipulate the market because that can make the society unstable when a large amount of money goes to some people's wallets while many people go bankrupt and run into financial risks. So the government needs to manage it closely to create a balance, but perhaps because of this, the crypto issued by the government will not be welcome when it does not create more profitable and attractive to investors, people still like freedom and make money in the market like now

I think cryptocurrency will never be grow higher because they will control it and also they will put on tax to it. Also if cryptocurrency issued by government surely most of crypto are bought by them. And I think its not good idea its better if cryptocurrency is decentralized even its goes up and down its value but atleast you can encounter a higher value possible that you can get.

Then that will be the first crypto that people in that place will look into since it is provided by Government it will likely be safe to use.
I think that is possible and that is the thinking of the people towards the government because they have seen that it always have an exchange for the improvement and aside from that it alwats depends of what they aim for. It should always have a win-win situation to happen.

the government might know the advantages of the existence of bitcoin and bitcoin technology called blockchain because we know in the world of governance there are many cases of corruption and money laundering whereas when you use cryptocurrency it will be very difficult to do money laundering and corruption so that the government does not want to approve and use cryptocurrency.

decentralized will be surely forgotten by this government that will create their own coin.

I agree.I don't think that they will create their own cryptocurrency just to have another payment option. The people might be confused already promoting two currencies at the same time. But if blockchain technology will attract a mass adoption, then they will be force to create their own which is still controlled by the government.

Those are not real crypto-currencies. Those are just digital versions of the fiat currency, similar to Paypal or Skrill. A crypto-currency should be decentralized. It can't be issued by any central bank.

i am agree with your statement. If crypto issued by central banks or government, i am believe its not different with fiat money but in digital form. They still control the supply and the price to maintain their money supply in market
The government or the central bank will not be able to officially issued other currencies other than fiat. especially cryptocurrency is decentralized. certainly outside the government system. other than that the rules in the government are also not allowed to make 2 currencies in 1 country

the price is stable, because it gets support from FIAT currencies, banks and the government, it is likely to be used as a daily transaction tool for Japanese citizens. And it looks like they will make the hybrid cryptocurrency between centralized and decentralized, we can track all existing transactions on the blockchain, but the government participates in controlling prices to remain stable and allows it to be used as a daily transaction by coffee and fruit juice stores

I think it's their right to issue cryptocurrencies and try to be competitive at the crypto market. Yes, it's usualy a try to impose the government coin to the people of their country but still it's their right.
Having in mind such attempts so far I would say that governments haven't been very successful with cryptocurrencies but who knows something might change in the future. And some governments have really good intentions to support and endorse cryptocurrencies, like Japan, which is example that all should follow.

We hope people understand it ...

If we realize, a few crypto not decentralized. I think if central banks create their own cryptocurrency it will be good because its like digital fiat money and beside that, i think its secure and better than paper money we use right now. Soon or later, government and central banks will be jump in this cryptocurrency and i think its good

What do we think so far? Let the governments and their central banks issue their centralized cryptocurrencies, and we will see how they will work and whether they will be in demand by the population.
I think that there will be no worse from this decentralized cryptocurrency. It will be like a virtual addition to national money and such centralized cryptocurrencies will go mostly within this state.

I do not think this will be a successful project for any government due to reasons like it will not be decentralized and will be prone to imposing policies and regulations by the government that give rise uncertainties and uncertainty is something that reduce the interest of the investors to invest. So I think this project might possibly not work if we do not get investors. Also if the demand for the project is down, nothing is going to generate the money.

For many countries, cryptocurrency emission is the way to create a whole ecosystem and attract quality investments to the country. An example is Estonia, which announced the launch of estcoin. The currency will appear as part of the state ICO. The proceeds will be transferred to a public-private partnership that will promote the “digital nation”. Foreign investors will be able to receive a digital ID, which will enable them to register a company in a EU country under a simplified scheme, and using estkoyinami will be able to pay for public and private services in Estonia

Of course if the government makes its own crypto currency it will change the decentralized digital currency system. That is because if the government issues crypto currencies they will certainly manage their own crypto so that there is a role of third parties. But I'm sure this will happen, the government will be interested and make this technology for their payment systems in the future. It is impossible for them to adopt crypto that already exists for use in their country because this will certainly be very risky for their economy and security.

I don't think so. We are currently using central paper money created by the government and even evaluate bitcoin with it so we have to use it as a payment method. Think of the digital money to be created as paper money. If it will be the payment method there is no way out and they are not going to take care what you think.

i think the main reason for prohibitions is very simple. Transfers in a currency different from the national one, lead to poor economic performance, including GDP (one of the main indicators). This way, it is easier to launder money or transfer funds outside the country. Neither banks nor payment processors will get their interest.

I disagree with this view, if the governments want to print their own cryptocurrencies then that is the right and we cannot stop them but I do not see that as a good development because that means they are going to try to promote the usage of their coins over decentralized cryptocurrencies and many people are going to be dumb enough to believe them and use their coins.

Any cryptocurrency that will be issued by the government will surely centralized and bring more benefits to the government. A national currency like the dollar or yen can be developed into cryptocurrency by its government, same like ripple, to match the growing popularity of bitcoin and other well known blockchain-based virtual currencies. Government-issued virtual currency can manipulated by the central bank to stabilized its prices like the ordinary fiat.

If ever the governments will issued a cryptocurrency of their own I think it will be hit for a reason that many people are still a believer of their own government however I don't see it as a totally positive thing because I think the government only wanted to control the cryptocurrency such as maybe put a tax into it. Well we can't really say something.
There are totally two school of thoughts till now that I have read about. One is, government would never do that because if it would, those with big population took over maximum crowd and they would be like whales. And in contrary, low populated countries would suffer badly. Second, how 206 or even more countries have different curio and how they would integrate it.

A centralized coins misses the point why Crypto os made in the first place. It should he take note that Crypto enables us to be free from any control even the government. This gives us the security we need and the transparency we could never had in a centralized coins. This is why, we should be aware that coins who has the legit feature of Crypto will be tge one who will succeed. To have complete freedom from any third party, user must avoid closed source wallet or exchange wallet. The private key and public code should be available to the user, Hodler wallet is a good example how decentralized system is used.

If there are central banks from several countries that will release crypto themselves, I am very confident that the crypto they release will quickly grow and the possibility will also have a price that continues to increase, the reason is because of the high enthusiasm from the community and moreover the crypto is directly managed by the central bank, because we know most central banks from several countries are against crypto.

We all know that cryptocurrency is not yet legal in many countries and I do not know of it is fully accepted in selected countries who accepted it. If one country released their own crypto currency then I think crypto will be accepted or be legal in many countries to used it.

in my opinion it will make it even hard to corrupt if all transaction are using cryptocurrency that are using blockchain technology. I think its the reasons why transactions using cryptocurrency sre better than using fiat currency, it will improve transparancy, safety and all data will be recorded permanently so it will reduce corruption.

since japan is a well reputed country in all terms I guess it is a break for cryptocurrency to introduce itself in many countries. It will be good since Japan always have a plan whatever they lauch so it will be a good one if they will regulate the market of cryptocurrency.
Well if they are working on bitcoin and want to make their own currency then it is quite good news for the world of crypto. Although this might affect the name of bitcoin but it’s okay. When crypto would become stronger, bitcoin would be too. so, don’t just worry rather start buying bitcoin. Japan is working classic and I am damn sure they will come out with something big.

Any cryptocurrency that is issued by any government will be a very stable coin just like the national currencies. Such cryptocurrencies will be very ideal for investments.

No one will want to invest in those currencies, those that support the government can just invest in fiat, and those people that are suspicious about the intentions of a government printing their own cryptocurrency will invest in decentralized cryptocurrencies or they can choose to invest in precious metals, so no one is going to invest in such currencies because no one will believe in them.

I see advantaged and disadvantages of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology that will be issued and regulated by the government. One of its advantages is investors and recognition by its people and it can potentially increase the governments assets, on the other hand one of its disadvantages is that it could be used by politicians against its people or in corruption and we will never know it as there are many politicians that are very manipulative.
maybe with the strengths and weaknesses that you mentioned in your opinion I think that can make the future of the currency that will develop will be better and grow with fewer weaknesses that we will accept

I think from the onset of why Governments are creating cryptocurrency is first and foremost about control? Right now they see decentralized cryptos as something that will greatly disadvantage govs in terms of control. so to create a centralized crypto is certainly a good idea. Of course, there is always a possibility that politicians may attempt to manipulate and corruptions will become a problem. Afterall, in Fiat, we see corruptions all the time... the big and small and the hidden ones. All these are possible with all the centralized control present. it is a system they are used to. and almost-perfect system which each govs can benefit from.

Even then with govs coming up with their cryptos, i believe it will make decentralized cryptos even more desirable as the contrast will be greatly distinguished by market players, consumers, you and I. The public can actually compare a decentralized crypto to a centralized crypto 😎, instead of crypto to fiat where only uncertainty prevails 🤷🏽‍♂️.

So, let the govs create more centralized cryptos.😆😆😆

There should be consistent growth in such type of crypto because:

1) Since it is backed by government, people will also invest fearlessly.

2) Government might give initiatives to promote the use of crypto.

3) Finally, government has the budget and resources to advertise crypto which can lead to mass adoption.

I disagree, they are going to do it, you may not see the reason of why they will do it because you are only seeing this from your point of view, but from the point of view of governments they want to confuse the issue, they want confuse people, they do not want the average person to adopt cryptocurrencies because they know that they will be unable to control them so they are going to create their own crypto and are going to promote it and say that it's better than what has been created so far and people are so dumb that they could believe them.

Those are not real crypto-currencies. Those are just digital versions of the fiat currency, similar to Paypal or Skrill. A crypto-currency should be decentralized. It can't be issued by any central bank.
Cryptocurrency are mainly decentralised in nature. If any government issued it then it lost its decentralised nature. The cryptocurrency become under control of government term and conditions and turns into a. Centralize currency. If that happens it have both positive and negative effects. Positive effects like its volatile will be decrease and it become more stable and investor suffer less investmental crisis. But the negative effect is their is no freedom to user in their cryptocurrency job.

There is a lot of advantages using the local cryptocurrencies at each country which will be definetely implemented at bank systems if it's already a local currency, people would have options to withdraw with cash, keep on card or send it to your wallet. I dont think there would be any issues with transactions if it's blockchain an open type, so goverment can see all of the transactions at system and definitely there would identification for each user that are using it

And yet we know it is going to happen, because more than anything governments want control, they want to control the economy, they want to control their population and they want to control the money that population uses, so regardless of whether or not you like the idea they are going to do it and when that happens you must avoid that cryptocurrency.

they make crypto currencies themselves because they want to have control over their currencies. this is contrary to decentralized crypto currencies. although I think they will have difficulties regarding the anonymity of their users.

Well I guess they should provide a crypto that would extremely be reliable, they are likely to establish a coin that is CENTRALIZED and because of this people would rather use other coins rather than choose a centralized coin that would pronably rot if it isn't handled with proper care, I think that a government that should do this are governments that are highly knowledged and are probably good with handling their coin, a country wherein the government is knowledged enough about crypto and how it works in order for people to probably pick that certain type of coin even if its CENTRALIZED.

To be honest, it doesn't make any sense as it kills the core essence of cryptocurrencies which is decentralization. It's similar to put someone in the large prison and calling it freedom while holding the keys of that prison. When any government is launching any cryptocurrency, it must pass the control of it to the users instead of holding and controlling it. I would say that government-controlled cryptocurrencies are as good as fiat currencies and nothing more than that system.

These cryptos are nothing but fiat converted into cryptocurrencies. In other words, these government-issued coins are still owned and managed by the government. It cannot claim freedom and independence. Cryptocurrencies are a way for people to have a mode of payment that is completely free and owned by the people themselves, independent of any government or bank.

Most crypto are decentralized, so if you heard there is a crypto made by the government this is obviously and clear that this is not decentralize instead centralized, it is because of the regulated system it has comes from the government itself. And frankly to say I also cannot consider it as crypto too because it is regulated business system. But this is just my opinion base on my understanding about it.

There is no difference witht this crypto tp other because its nature is decentralized. I bet that would be a good idea to create a crypto for each government who wish to have a cryprocurrency dedicated for the government. Yet, a lot of talks about it because there will have a conflict especially to US dollars where one country could bypass and buy more dollars using the crypto in exchange and for this USA does not want to happen. When their dollar suplly will be lessen and transfer to other country there will be possibility that US government will collapse.

It wouldn't be a true cryptocurrency if it was backed by a government because they would have the power to set inflation and seize coins if they wanted.  Maybe it could work if it was truly decentralized and you were in complete control of your funds but I'm still skeptical.  Why use government currency when we have money backed by the people.

If the government issues its own cryptocurrency that doesn't mean that they're going to approve decentralized cryptocurrencies, it is the opposite, they will create a currency that is going to compete against the cryptocurrencies that have no ties to governments and they are going to promote their own currencies as being way better than what the community has created.

But in fact, the government will use a centralized approach to managing cryptocurrencies. You see that XRP is now ranked second. All of its prices are so expensive because there are governments that support such coins. There are only a few coins that may be scattered in the future, and most of the coins are centralized.

And why do you think that bitcoin is going to disappear just because the government creates their own coin? Even if they create their own cryptocurrency that cryptocurrency is not going to have the very same characteristics as bitcoin, which means that it is not going to be a direct competitor and when that cryptocurrency crashes like everything that the government creates we will need an alternative currency and that could be bitcoin.

Seems a good idea if they create their own currency, but giving the option of using decentralized Crypto-Currencies too to their citizens. The problem is to forbid one kind (the decentralized one) to force everyone to use the one they want (centralized). Indeed a centralized Crypto-Currency created by a government would be very similar to fiat, however they would be using a new technology, what would be already an advantage, an improvement compared to the old system.

I guess, it would be a great idea since it would be useful for a certain country to have it's own cryptocurrency. There are still lots of things to consider since the government would be involved. However, it is still important to have a decentralized cryptocurrency which is not manipulated by the government.

Of course it will harm decentralization of the crypto market but the market will become more attractive to the investors and process of adoption of the cryptos like BTC will also speed up.

Japan had accepted bitcoin as their own currency who’s functioning like Yen in their region ,thats why i see no reason about them making own cryptocurrency while they had been  one of the first country to trust and adapt crypto.but if thats the reality i guess thats a centralized and not loke what we are having here

If central banks really create their own crypto, I think it will not be far from what they've already run like fiat. The difference with bitcoin is that their crypto is still controlled, while bitcoin isn't. They creat their own crypto is of course for grabbing people attention, lead people to stay with them and unintentionally provides choices for doing transaction. In other words, seems like banks are trying to get rid of bitcoin.

Well if this is true this should create new opporyunities in this side of the technological advances. Maybe it could boost cryptocurrency usage and as well may destroy small cryptocurrencies because it is certain that this would create a real competition among cryptocurrency usage.

This kind of tokens is different from what we know, because they can freeze your balance, add new tokens whenever they want, and it will have stable price. So you can consider it as digital version of a fiat currency, because the government still has control over it.

if it happens, the existence of BTC will be truly threatened, because support from the government will never betray the Japanese population, so that the security and progress of the country that officially releases cryptocurrency and is centralized by the state, may last longer and can be used commercially
the government must always think about the economic stability of the country, so that community service and also the small risk will be preferred in every decision

I think it's good, if the government will issue its own crypto currency. because that means the government is willing to accept crypto. and if it will happen in Japan, and overtake other countries, it will also mean crypto will become more global.

Then that will be the first crypto that people in that place will look into since it is provided by Government it will likely be safe to use.
Yes it is, the stability is not normal sometimes it is flactuated and the others is just stable. The bitcoin is very important to those who give importance on it. Well it generates the accomodation of the price and people wanted to have the big income and earnings as well.

I don't think so, because the cryptocurrency they released will definitely involve bitcoin in exchange, so I'm sure that will make bitcoin better. But if they don't involve bitcoin in exchange, then I'm afraid the cryptocurrency they release will not be able to grow like Bitcoin.

A cryptocurrency run by the government is a contradiction in terms and a foolish idea: the bitcoin was born precisely to free itself from the power of states and banks; giving it back means to commit a big stupidity.
I do not see a problem with a government to issue a cryptocurrency and to apply it in their own for good to showcase transparency and limit corruption in their system. If it is being introduce also to all investors around the world then same as other crypto will going to happen. The crypto will be listed in an exchange and it will be used to utilize in every government departments in doing payments.

In my opinion it will be best if the the government issue crypto they should apply it to monitor government funds on how they spend people’s taxes. You know government has a lot of dishonest practices instead of replacing fiat to crypto why not make people taxes transparent on how they spend and allocate those budgets it will make sense for sure.

It will actually be the same national money, only in the digital shell. Since centralized cryptocurrencies of states will still be considered cryptocurrencies, they will attract the attention of people and the popularity of all cryptocurrencies will increase. People will see that even the states issue their coins and the credibility of the decentralized cryptocurrency will increase. Therefore, I have a positive attitude to the centralized cryptocurrency of states.

Crypto released by the government is the instrument of control. I do not like that idea.

And I doubt if the future of government-issued virtualcoin will become successful because of what happen to Venezuela owned cryptocurrency. To become successful, the future government-owned cryptocurrency should have a big support from crypto investors and people. But since most of the cryptocommunity don't like theidea of cebtralized virtual currency, it may not get a sufficient supports.

Governments will not ask us for opinions. They will issue their own centralized cryptocurrency, which will actually be the national digital money. I take this intention quite positively. Such a cryptocurrency will cause an additional interest in all cryptocurrencies and will strengthen their intention in that this is not a fraud. Yes, and look at the circulation of such cryptocurrency would be interesting.

Then what was the purpose of Bitcoin at the first instance, It was introduced to curb centralization and explicit control of the government over native currency, Any cryptocurrency introduced by the government will about nothing but complete centralization as the name implies to Govern "Conduct the policy, actions, and affairs of (a state, organization, or people) with authority." Why would anyone want this ?

Because they want to control cryptocurrency with the banking system, all transactions will always be monitored by the government, and we as crypto holder will be imposed the tax.

It is very unlikely that a government would create a decentralized cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, and people would not trust it anyway. One of the main points of Bitcoin is precisely to separate coin from state, to quote Antopoulos:

Bitcoin is not “unregulated”. It is regulated by algorithm instead of being regulated by government bureaucracies. Un-corrupted. -- Andreas Antonopoulos

If the government is unable to control it, then they might as well adopt Bitcoin or legalize it. Now that would be progress. Odd that Japan retracted from treating it like a coin and think of treating it as an asset.

But anyway I don't think any government issued crypto currency has a future, unless its truly decentralized like Bitcoin is. But then why bother making "yet another altcoin"? Marketing? "national pride"?...

Cryptocurrencies are all about decentralization. If the government issued crypto will have this feature then I totally agree with such a cryptocurrency. I am in favor of a little "control" in the cryptos in order to avoid scams but not in a high volume because then the system will not be decentralized.

But the question will be, why should a country release a national cryptocurrency? Most national currencies are launched in corrupt or bankrupt countries. Decetralisation will be very difficult to ensure because it's already limited to the country.
In addition, one of the biggest features resulting of decetralisation is being global. Like BTC is not restricted to a country, BTC can be used everywhere worldwide. National cryptocurrencies will have always disadvantages in my opinion.

Interesting will be to see digital Yuan .China has that project under development
Even it will be only gov currency anyway it can be also used on crypto market in some cases
For example to buy licensed ico
As usual in any case of digital innovation it will start from Asia countries

Of course it will be very good, and certainly will be accepted by the community, because the issuing is the government. And of course, if this Bitcoin can be accepted by a government, then bitcoin will be very developed in the country. Therefore, one of the most important factors in the development of Bitcoin is the government's participation in it. The government created Cryptocurrency, it must be crowded.

I think if government creating their own cryptocurrency, bitcoin will regulated by government. Thats will be a good news for market because investor will more have many option to investing their money. But i think if government creating their own crypto, its like a fiat money because government still control the supply and data transaction

Japan has issued MUFG coins, and some Latin American countries have also issued the same thing, I have not seen it directly about its use, but obviously it is fully supported by the central bank they have. It must be understood that developed countries do not question the dualism of currencies, the most important is legal and remain regulated in their own sovereignty. fiat and crypto will be connected to active conversions which ultimately increase economic power on a large scale.

This is actually a great comment, and very nice thinking. There are more than 4000 complementary currencies in the world, this currencies serve businesses in hospitality, construction, manufacturing, retail and professional services. For example Switzerland have WIR, it's what I remember, but I read about some others too.
What you say that fiat and crypto will be connected to active conversions which ultimately increase economic power on a large scale is true. I agree with this, it's the next step in evolution of economy, after that people will be able to choose what will they support, centralization or decentralisation.

My opinion about the currency issued by the government is very good, because there will be more people or new users who will be on Cryptocurrency. Because digital currency issued by the government may be legally regulated by the state, but everything depends on traders, because I think the currency issued by the government will have a stable price, not too drastic when going up and down. So it tends to be slow in seeking profits from it.

Won't be a big fan of those crypto currencies. Government issuing crypto currencies and you really think they are going to be decentralized? No way. They will try to keep it under their control as much as they can. And its the Japans central bank that will be issuing those coins and is a more no no for us. I thought crypto currencies were supposed to be anti of the banking system.

What kind of crypto regulation do you expect if the government cannot regulate policies intensively?

if they make crypto with their own system then there will be two different centralized systems and vice versa, at least they can accommodate their own system to save potentially damaging things about the interests of their own currency.

That’s what actually want to say mate we are well aware of crypt coin nature that it use to change all the time is I think at very first it’s not possible for government to handle it and other thing is crypto currency is totally independent that has no relative concern with it so these are just roaming there is no authentic proof about it.

If there is someone controlling it, it wouldn't be so cool to invest on that since they were the ones who can control it and i don't think if there's a lot of participants that wanted to invest it. Investors may try it once but eventually, they will just going to switch back to Bitcoin again.
Although we can't force everyone to choose what type of currency they want so they might be going to release it but i don't know if other government in another country would accept it.

It is said that central banks plan to release their own curypto currency in some countries, for example Japan..

How do you think about these crypto?
Government-issued electronic money is no longer a new issue for some countries I think because the government wants to promote the nation's development and issue electronic money to curb inflation in the country. Such as Zimbabwe, inflation is very high and affects politics and the government must use electronic money to stabilize the economy.

If the government issues its digital currency, I will not trade with Coin from the government. Because I think Coin prices will tend to be slow in their movements. Because the government has always given statements to the people in my country, that digital currencies are at high risk because prices rise and fall rapidly.

In my opinion, this will be a great opporrunity to showcase cryptocurrency because it is backed up by the government. Government releasing crypto will be a giant leap for crypto savvy because government issued crypto has so much trust into it than non-legitimate cryptocurrencies out there. With this, users can be assured of security and the protection of investors and users through guidelines and regulations in the use of it. Foe sure that in the coming years, more government bodies will soon be open to the fact that cryptocurrency will be able to aid in government's financial transactions as well.

If we are talking about volatility here I think fiats are more volatile than crypto the best advantage a digital currency can give to one government is the fixed amount of supply because we are all aware that government have unlimited supply of money if they implement using a public ledger and opened for transparency to public then it will be good to people.

I think what you mean is to create a crypto that will going to compete bitcoin and will have a different blockchain.

Yes it could be possible since cryptocurrency is all about decentralization. The market price of every coin will be determine by the demand and supply of the coin just like the most stable coin in the market the USDT.

However, it will.not guarantee that a certain government coin may going to work out with other coin just like bitcoin. So if I were to make a coin then I will make it under the bitcoin blockchain or somehow connected to bitcoin where it could be tradable to other cryptocurrency.

The coin issued by the government will be very little volatile and will not bring big profits to investors, focusing on their products only makes us waste money and time, observing and participating in other cryptos is still better when they are not under government control

When a governing body takes responsibility, surely it'll be functional same as the centralized services. We cannot see anything good similar to bitcoin. To my thinking it is same as the way of making transaction digitally for the traditional fiat. If the same cryptocurrency is developed in a separate platform with some other backing as oil, metals, etc then it'll surely make a difference though it is under a centralized system.

The expression "central" in the wording central banks is already suspicious when it comes to the question of issuing a cryptocurrency by a government. But a government could become more credible if it manages all its expenses on a blockchain so that each citizen could always check if the taxpayers' money is consequently used. Instead of issuing a cryptocurrency, the Congress could be suppressed by replacing it with a virtual congress which work would be performed on a blockchain network.

we talk about issued by the government I think the government has no other currencies that are believed to be the currencies used at all. but the cryptocurrencies are talking about knowing that all the government thinks that it's a scam because cryptocurrency is a digital currency and a decentralized, so it's hard for the government to accept it. and would have been able to prove the government that a country's crypto also works with people without jobs, so now they can also be called sideline jobs, because of the help of a bitcoin cryptocurrency in the country and may have come to us cryptocurrency in the country will be known and accepted in all gobernments.

I treat them quite normally, just as I do with fiat money now. I am only concerned about the issues of inflation within countries with weak economies. If they start to issue cryptocurrencies of their countries, and cannot devalue them during the economic crisis in their country, then a default will be inevitable. The United States, too, will not be able to print more dollars when they need it. A lot of questions about this. It all depends on how these cryptocurrencies will exist and what advantages they will give over fiat? If you simply replace fiat money with cryptocurrency and all mechanisms to leave the same, then what is the point?

I am quite normal with the emergence of centralized cryptocurrencies that will be issued by central banks of various countries. Moreover, it will happen even without our knowledge and desire. It will practically be the same national money of the states, only in a digital envelope. They will mostly go within this state and will not be used as the decentralized cryptocurrency is used now - for profit due to the increase in their prices. This will be a centralized cryptocurrency, which will be used primarily as a means of payment. It is unlikely that such a cryptocurrency will be widely used even within this state, since non-cash forms of payment will successfully compete with them. However, their release in general will be useful for all cryptocurrencies, since it will attract attention to it and contribute to its popularity.

on the basis of crypto currencies is a decentralized currency, in the sense that there are no central bank controls, and the main purpose of crypto is to eliminate the role of banks or third parties. if the government will launch a cripto-like coin, it is not digital money, what is certain is that the government has full control over these coins, even if blockchain technology is implemented, there will still be no "freedom" there

Well, I think they will become another form of shitcoins on the market. No one loves centralized asset so I think the cryptocurrency community will think twice in investing such centralized digital money. On the other hand I think investors will take the opportunity or the hype but I know it won't last long. Governments are known for their centralized governance so we must expect that if they are going to issue their own cryptocurrencies, it will also a centralized one. Issuing their own cryptocurrency will involves their central bank and other finances that vitals to the national economy so government won't going to create a virtual currency that they can't able to control or regulate.

NO, I beg to disagree with this point. I think the government issued crypto will be facing a lot of issues especially with the other currencies like US dollars. There was a concern regarding with the purchasing power of US dollars using crypto. And this is why the United States of America made some ways to avoid putting other countries to bypass in purchasing US dollars using crypto based and dollar exchange.

Any cryptocurrency created by a government will be the same as their fiat but with even bigger problems for us since they will be capable of inserting all kind of malicious code in their coin that you cannot see so if they decide to confiscate your money they could do it very easily so it will be a mistake for anyone that appreciates freedom to support a coin created by any government.

I dont know if the government will issue their own crypto because they already have their own currency and its enough for them to earn a profit because they can create a supply of it whatever they wanted to.

Many country do already issue their own coins but most of them have failed because they didnt get enough support from their people  .  this is not a threat to crypto overall  .
Just look what happened to Petro, Venezuela's own crypto currency, in which now became useless. It's too controversial as it says it's backed by their oil but unfortunately didn't.

Personally, I don't see myself using government issued crypto currency as yes it's obviously centralized and damn don't trust any of it.
We all love bitcoin and other alts because of its decentralization and after all this is what we're yearning for.

Precisely this is an advance for blockchain technology because it has been trusted by a government to be adopted even to make its own cryptocurrency. In the midst of many countries that prohibit bitcoin and crypto, with this Japan can be an example for other countries to be motivated to adopt this blockchain technology.

I think it won't work well. it is a government altcoin and will not carry too much meaning. it has no annual revenue, it does not intend to invest. it only gets richer when it receives a lot of taxes from people and businesses.
Altcoin development of a government is actually quite meaningless. we can only borrow money from them and do not expect it to grow strongly. According to me, that is a bad idea.

Crypto released by government are obviously centralized in nature, however, it can have the government's full support regarding on the peoples needs and technological advancements. The security will also become high and crypto will much safer. The only consequence is that, they will require KYC.
It might be more trusted because it was issued by a government that has gone through regulations so that it is legally safe for trade and investment.
Problems will arise because KYC must be included in crypto purchases or sales issued by the government for taxes, which means they are no longer anonymous. Even though currently the advantages of Crypto are anonymous.

there are two aspect of it one is that crypto currency whale position will be taken by government then they can further manipulate and all regulation will be imposed to own respective crypto and second one is that is we will see crypto awareness among general people then we can see market rise to next level.

And that is the issue, bitcoin was at first created by satoshi as a way to not have to rely on governments for your currency since they have shown through history they should not be trusted, so it does not matter what they say about their created cryptocurrency they are lying and only a fool will trust them, it does not matter what they do I will never use a cryptocurrency issued by a government.

they make crypto currencies themselves because they want to have control over their currencies. this is contrary to decentralized crypto currencies. although I think they will have difficulties regarding the anonymity of their users.
Crypto currency created by the government will certainly change the nature and change the system in my opinion and of course the legality we will get in the security investment will be guaranteed but the tax will follow it

for me it is better to have a currency in the country so well and it is acceptable to the whole government. because the currency is a decentrilized crypto even if it's a digital currency but for me it's the best crypto currency and it's acceptable to a central bank that bitcoin and others.

If central banks issuing cryptocurrency, it will againts with their policy as last landing resort. Beside that, cryptocurrency always have limited supply and central banks must be want to control the price with more supply in market. I dont think government will issue their own crypto but if that happen, that can not be called as cryptocurrency but digital money

That is right.

There is no way that a government will ever release their own cryptocurrency in their country and advertise it to be used in the same country. The first reason I see that will contradict this is that their currencies or the fiat that is being used are controlled by them hence it is a centralized currency. Why would they create their own currency and it is decentralized? They will not be able to control it and it will really affect their country.

For me this is not good and if crypto currency was created by government then we must not feel that freedom of using it and making profit, we won’t have the chance to enjoy the benefits of crypto currency as we are having right now, as government could create some manipulation which can put our profit in danger.

Even if the governments of different countries release their own cryptocurrency, the decentralized cryptocurrency will continue to exist and people will have the right to choose. Therefore, I do not see anything dangerous for a decentralized cryptocurrency, if there will be a lot of centralized coins of different governments. On the contrary, I think that the general confidence of people in cryptocurrency will increase, they will quickly move to the use of cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrency issued by the government means that it includes regulations that apply to the state, so that it is not anonymous and in conducting transactions can be taxed.
By law, in my opinion it is safer because it is protected by the state compared to anonymous cryptocurrency because it is legally difficult to protect.

You can be right that the future of crypto can grow and become more popular when the government participates in this activity but you should consider carefully government actions, they do not randomly create their own crypto. They create for the purpose of competition as you say, and they want everyone to know about their crypto, attract people to invest and control other people's assets, the benefits we receive will be very small while the strict management and tax payment will certainly happen

The question is who is going to use that coin, people like us which understand that cryptocurrencies are an attempt by people to try to get free from government control will never use their cryptocurrencies, and the people that are not using bitcoin do not really have a need for a coin issued by their governments since they already have cash and other electronic payment methods so for the time being I do not see many people interested in adopting a cryptocurrency like that.

That would basically defeat the purpose, BTC is supposed to be a decentralized currency, and if government issues it, there will be heavy regulations and it will be centralized, controlled and issued by a central banking authority. Indian govt. was planning to do this with Lakshmi Coin but the buzz just drowned, so I guess it is no more.

Those are not real crypto-currencies. Those are just digital versions of the fiat currency, similar to Paypal or Skrill. A crypto-currency should be decentralized. It can't be issued by any central bank.

I agree. I think governments do that not only to just keep with the times and trend, but it can also be a more secured way to delve into cryptocurrencies because a government, unlike private developers, has more capacity to safeguard the investments of people who use it in their transactions, which most likely, would be picked up by their own citizens. I think, it's just part of the function of the a government to make sure that the money and investments of its citizenry are safe against any forms of scams, which is at the moment, happening in the cryptocurrency market.

I think that is a strategy from the government that tries to make the price of bitcoin fall by giving a statement like that it will make many traders panic, while those who already understand bitcoin should not need to panic so stay calm and enjoy bitcoin price movements and as much as possible to looking for very much profit.

National cryptocurrencies can be issued in the form of tokens that do not require mining and miners. This will be another type of non-cash money in the state. I think that on the whole it would be useful for the development of decentralized cryptocurrency, since people would have a logical interest in the general cryptocurrency, they would better understand its essence and rules of use. In addition, the emergence of a national centralized cryptocurrency would create more confidence in the decentralized cryptocurrency.

There is already price manipulation with current "no-crypto-fiat money", and it happens in a lot of third world countries (very common in some countries of South America, Africa, Asia): they devaluate the currency to bring down the salaries, prices goes up, salaries stay down, and multinational companies (you name it, cloth companies, technology companies, phones, TVs, etc) hire your "now almost slave workforce" for nothing.

Right now it is happening in Argentina, the current "world weakest currency":
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-04-01/argentina-central-bank-to-keep-rates-at-a-minimum-62-5-in-april

So, a centralized goverment issued crypto would be the same, or worst.

Venezuela itself is in bad situation and crypto will not help it. I do not agree with the idea that governments will create p2p coins. The centralized government will create crypto like itself. Persia has also created its own gold backed coin, review it.

Most of the crypto is decentralized and they want to create their own crypto so they could benefit from it.

It is true that cryptocurrencies have great volatility but how can people say that the currencies printed by governments have any stability when every year there is inflation that is eating away the ability of your currency to buy whatever you want and at the end all the fiat currencies in the history of the world have always returned to their inherent value which is zero, if the government of the country in which you live begins to print their own cryptocurrency do not deal with it or you will regret it in the future.
