I just don't understand why most people go for the pump and dump scams out there when we have something like PINK. Its cheap right now at 60 sats. People should be putting some BTC into this one. I believe that it can only go up from here. The people behind the coin are cool, honest and dependable developers. Its nice to see an actual alt coin with soul and not the same old PnD crap that has been plaguing these forums for months.

Time for legitimate questions and concerns and real announcements. Saw your issue and seeing as I was still using the old wallet I decided to install the new one. Mine is up and running without any issues! It even pulled my balance from my old wallet. Cool. Maybe delete everything and start again and be sure to allow it through your firewall when the prompt comes up. Have you checked your %appdata% folder as well? I believe the program needs to be running from this folder but I an by no means a expert. Hope this helps. Have you been buying pink? I have... Any help would be appreciated. You don't need to run it 24/7, however it will stake most if you do. If you only run it a couple hours every few days, it will catch up on all your missed stakes. However, had it been running that whole time, those "missed stakes" would have been aging and staking themselves. It is not really a noticeable difference, but it is a difference. Estimated time does that on most PoS coins, I unfortunately do not have the answer to it. New wallet stakes fine, it is a little slower and heavier on your computers resources as there is a lot going on in there. Sumgye has been talking a lot lately of giving that wallet a once over, cleaning it up and getting it back to optimal performance. Good eye, we fixed the number sequence on the 50/50 for the bot, but I completely forgot to update the website. I will do that right now, thank you. As for the buy wall, there is not "set in stone" function behind it as of right now. - we are going to potentially automate it so it can catch all the coins that are currently on the exchange. For example, if there are 100,000,000 Pinkcoin on the exchange, the buy wall would need 10BTC to hold at 10 SATs, 100BTC at 100SATs etc. If someone were to send 20,000,000 coins to the exchange, the buy wall would move down to a price where it can catch 120,000,000 coins. - a buy wall that can catch a said % of the coin. Let's just say it is designed to catch 100% of the coins, it would need 36.4BTC support to hold at 10 SATs. 50% of the coins, it would need 18.2BTC to hold at 10 SATs etc... We are not sure yet which option is the best, most effective, and most efficient. All I know is that by using the tools created for Pinkcoin, you are not only marketing, you are also adding liquidity and helping with buy support indirectly. One of the problems we ran into on the Pinkcoin systems was scope creep. Every system started out as one thing and quickly got built upon. Essentially, the infrastructure and foundation was too small for what needs to built. It had gotten to the point, that just adding the 50/50 to the lottery took about 3x as long as it should have due to all the tweaking. And because all the tweaking, where we may change something to get the 50/50 working, it would cause a bug in the rock, paper, scissors game. The same goes for our crypto.pink and essentially everything we've developed. Nothing is really connected, and everything has reach it's max capacity. So we have essentially started back on the ground level. We are completely redoing our infrastructure, one that has very few limits as to what can be done with. We will be linking every tool built for Pinkcoin through wallet.pink. You will, from this one location be able to see where all your coins are, easily send back and forth between systems. You will be able to buy Pinkcoin here with other currencies; similar to the Twitter bot. A perfect example of the current foundation not being big enough. We already have an exchange on Twitter, but it is useless elsewhere. So we had to build another exchange. This is where exchange.pink comes in. Exchange.pink will be the engine that will allow us to then integrate all kinds of 3rd party systems like Twitter into our exchange, rather than build an individual exchange on each. Regarding ideas I've recently been thinking about when I was a teenager and we used to get into fads like trading card games or pogs and I can't help but think that crypto alts could easily be the next big teenage fad, if it is marketed right. Apps like casheer I think will be very popular with schoolkids, since they can trade cryptos just like we used to trade cards, but through a social mobile phone platform. With the success of Bitcoin billionaire I'm wondering if pinkcoin could capitalise on these successes and its own friendly youthful image and create a pinkcoin mobile app that has a game/trading element to it, where schoolkids would want to collect pinkcoins and get more than their friends have. Just a very rough idea at the moment, and I'm not exactly sure how this could be achieved, but hey, its all brainstorming right?? A "Go to" box will pop up asking you to type in teh folder path. Type in "/Users/sony/Library/Application Support" (change "sony" to your login name of course). 5. A finder window will pop up taking you to the "Application Support" folder. Look for a folder called pinkcoin there. 6. Inside will be a wallet.dat file there. That is the empty wallet file created by running the app for the first time. You can delete that and paste the wallet file that you have from the windows machine. Thanks, Coinkle Well proof of stake is holding coins in your wallet on your pc. They earn 1% interest with Pink, some coins like Seed earn up to 16% interest. You don't have to leave your computer running just turn it on every now and then and let your wallet catch up to the block chain and it will earn staking income. If you were to leave it running 24/7 your earned stakes will add to the total and be that much more staking so this is a way to achieve maximum earnings. What I would do is download the latest wallet and get it synced fully. Send a small amt of coins to ensure no issues once received send your full amt purchased. Once you have deposited everything you want to stake you need to encrypt your wallet via the drop down menu in the wallet. Make sure you don't lose this long password or you lose your coins forever. Once encrypted ypu will need to restart your wallet and again in the drop down menu unlock the wallet for mining only. Note the checkmark for unlocking for this purpose only. Really all that is needed is patience now. It will take a few days to build up your network weight and you will get confused by time till payout which is not to accurate. No coin is from what I see and I have 6 wallets staking. Lastly make sure you back up your wallet, I back mine up to my email and the cloud. You never know if your puter kicks it and you need the keys to your wallet. What else... Basicly this is an energy efficient way of mining which keeps the farms away. The more coins you have the more you earn in interest. Feel free to use the Pink block explorer and look at how much certain wallets earn with what amt of coins. It's all there to see. Another huge element turns out to be the fact that the wallet loads your entire transaction history when you open the wallet, including all of your stakes and orphans, regardless of your filters. An experimental wallet I've been working on that only loads the last weeks worth of staking history (full history of send-receives loads normally) has had dramatic results for responsiveness on wallets that have staked tens of thousands of times.
There's still some cosmetic bugs I'm trying to squash, but implementation ideas are welcome. At the moment I've just hardcoded in a week and put an option to enable full histories in the Settings -> Options -> Display window. Personally I don't see the need to pull up stakes going back further than a week unless your stake history is rather light in the first place (hence the option to disable it). But if people want more control over that I can implement a slider or textbox to enter the number of days to load stakes. I'm also toying with the idea of implementing an option to disable staking notifications - so heavy staker's can still enjoy standard send-receive notifications without being annoyed every few minutes with a staking popup. The first and most important thing, is setting up his targets to create the waves that are necessary in a market. Targets work off of a % basis, and determine what Picasso will do over time. Quantity is the size of the orders he will place. 0.0005 being the Bittrex minimum to as much as you feel comfortable per order. In the image below he will market sell/buy anywhere from 0.0005BTC to 0.12345678BTC. The first two boxes per level are your contracts. 1 - 0 will always place 1 contract, whereas 1 - 3 will randomly generate an order between 1 and 3 contracts. The following 2 boxes (overcuts) are the price range in which Brink will place your contracts. In the event of a long, these levels are based off of the current top order. So if your settings are $0.01 - $0.10, and the current top bid is at $220.00, Brink will place your contracts between $220.00 and $219.90. The exception here is if your first value is 0, he will sometimes undercut the top bid, therefore placing your order at $220.01. So if your settings are $0.00 - $0.10, and the top bid is $220.00, your order will be placed between $220.01 and $219.90. If you always wanted your level 1 to undercut, you would set it to $0.00 - $0.00. If you're in a long, he will ignore all other long signals unless your current long position is at -10%, in which case he would place your long open levels upon a long signal. Cut Loss: A market order that will GTFO once this ratio is seen. Depending on the market you are on, the spread and liquidity, this will likely result in a loss for more then your setting. Take profit: This is the % you would like to see the order achieve. This is always in the book ready and waiting, it will cancel them according to your close delay, and replace them just in case the spread allows for him to undercut for more profit. Per profit level: This is in the event you would like to take profit in chunks. If you have 10 contracts open, and your per profit level is 10%. It will place them according to your take profit %. In this case, 5% tp and 10% levels would place 1 contract at 5%, 1 @ 10%, 1@ 15%... This are repositioned according to your close delay as well, so if your 5% order is filled, and the orders reset, it will place another at 5%, continuing to do this until your position is completely filled and all orders have closed for profit. Profit Failsafe: This relies on levels, and is similar to a Trailing Stop that is triggered per level. So if your level 1 at 5% is achieved, it and the price comes back down 4%, it will close the rest. If your order makes it to level 2 at 10%, it will essentially lock in profit at 6%. _______________________________________________________________________________ __ Maximum position https://i.imgur.com/TYmQheO.png This allows you to set a maximum position size with its own cut loss and take profit settings. Unfortunately we could not find a functional way to refund upon losses, instead we used an algo to make sure that our fees neverare never taken if they exceed 20% of total profit. So in the event of a bad trade / loss, the fee charges will stop being taken on all following profitable trades until you get back to where you were and the fee =< then 20% of actual profit. Hope that makes more sense. EDIT: This was more an issue with Penner during the last few months of sideways on BTC. As for Brink, when a user is first getting setup, they may experience a couple losses, but for the most part, Brink is capable (depending on your settings) to maintain a 100% win ratio. - the fiat conversion seems to be a challenge - vendors are required who actively participate in pay-with-pink. Basically, pay-with-pink means that the customer pays with Pinkcoin to make a purchase. There are two main transitions: 1. Fiat ---> Pink (customer needs Pink) 2. Pink ---> Shopping (customer uses Pink for shopping) Interestingly, the main developers are about to complete a conversion tool (there was a screenshot on slack, it looks intuitive and easy to use) that allows to convert Pinkcoin to a multitude of cryptocoins. Let's say, if a vendor accepts Bitcoin for payment he or she already can accept payments in Pinkcoin. For me this looks like for transition 2 (=shopping with Pink) Pinkcoin should already be in a good position once the tool for automatic conversion into BTC is fully up and running. This will allow any shop who accepts Bitcoin to accept Pinkcoin as well. When compared to credit card payments the Pinkcoin advantage is obvious. The credit card company charges significant fees for example swipe fee, transaction fee, statement fee, monthly minimum fee and so on. The most risky one being the chargeback fee which would not occur when paying with Pinkcoin. These fees usually are hidden from the customer but the customer pays it because it's priced into the goods. If we could get some arrangement with the shop owner to give some percentage, let's say 2%, back to the customer it is a win situation for the shop and it is a win situation for the customer. It would be possible to introduce a structure to determine how much of it goes into charity for a good cause, how much is the advantage for the customer and how much is incentive for the merchant. If the customer consistently get's a 2% (this is just an example figure) discount on all purchases it would be a strong customer incentive to use Pinkcoin. That is the #1 incentive for a merchant to accept paywithpink because a would be customer asked for it. But the main hurdle is how to get the message to people who don't know about crypto. Also there are a couple huge companies that have branded themselves PINK. The main thing imo that seperates pinkcoin from other altcoins out there is the positive brand awareness to charity. So i think the key would be to give consumers and retailers a platform that allows for secure fast transactions with minimal fees. The savings that would have gone to Credit card companies can go towards savings for the consumer possible donations through PWP or a rewards system for using PWP. If it became successful it could operate like any other rewards system like airmiles or groupons. Nice to see some discussion in here again.

I envision the exact same thing for the coin and hopefully towards the middle of the year when our new coin is launched with mobile wallets we can start the retail segment of our plans. 1) I have coins that are staking, but they don't seem to be coming "off" staking and back to spendable. Its been several days since they started to stake and not coming back off. How many blocks does it normally take for coins to actually stake? 2) The block chain is moving extremely slowly, its meant to be around 30 seconds per block, currently its several hours for a block. This is due to the large amount of coins being held on exchanges and not on a desktop wallet that is staking (currently less than 10% of coins are staking). If you currently hold a lot of coins, I would seriously suggest getting them into a desktop wallet to stake - If the block chains moves quicker, you would get more coins staking and generate more coins for yourself. Hey, no ETA required, I would hate to hear a date and it not happen because thats when you start getting FUD etc. I also agree that 30 seconds might be a bit quick, 60 seconds would probably be more reasonable. With regards to "joining you" I'm staking, I don't have tons of coins, only about 300,000 but they are staking and wallet has been online since I got it fixed with the bootstrap the other day (provided by a user here and worked beautifully), feel free to send me a few million and I'll help strengthen the network some more ;p Shame Trex won't take and oyu have a hard time getting hold of Polo (perhaps try their IRC channel, you can usually get in touch there with an admin who can put you in contact with the right person/people to talk to). Feel free to come by our slack group if you wish to participate or suggest features to pinkcoin. We have a developer and have no desire to add a chat feature to the wallet at this time. Our priorities are to fix the boated chain and re-tune the coin specs to support the donations aspect of the currency. We don't need 60s block times which we are currently using. Most of the founding members pop in from time to time in Slack but I am quite sure they don't use this forum any longer. The focus will be and is on people outside of crypto with a basic functioning coin that earns great interest. No bells and whistles just functionality. Eventually we hope to provide a mobile wallet so we can proceed with retail adoption plans. There are many ways of communicating and we have grown tired of this forum. Lots of work with Autoview and working towards creating a marketplace for Pinkcoin. This isn't a business backed coin nor a technology driven blockchain. It is a currency and needs a place to be used. If people want the value to go higher then they need to get out into the world and make something happen.
Create your own way to embrace the coin. The only feature upgrades on our wishlist is a slower/efficient blockchain so we don't experience bloat and a mobile wallet. There is a payment gateway coming via Bittrex and we actually have a pay with pink payment gateway that can be added to sites if anyone wants to solicit acceptance of the coin. There are no bounties nor development funds and we rely on good will for pretty much everything. That is what pink is about people helping people. Super happy people are showing support, Autoview is approaching 1000 users and I'm amazed at all the different places I get emails from. I can't wait to see where we are in 5 yrs! So feel free to come hang out with us at slack.with.pink and let's create our futures. Please note I am not a developer. I run a website and try to use the coin in my own endeavors. If people want the value to go higher then they need to get out into the world and make something happen. Create your own way to embrace the coin. The only feature upgrades on our wishlist is a slower/efficient blockchain so we don't experience bloat and a mobile wallet. There is a payment gateway coming via Bittrex and we actually have a pay with pink payment gateway that can be added to sites if anyone wants to solicit acceptance of the coin. There are no bounties nor development funds and we rely on good will for pretty much everything. That is what pink is about people helping people. Super happy people are showing support, Autoview is approaching 1000 users and I'm amazed at all the different places I get emails from. I can't wait to see where we are in 5 yrs! If someone is capable of producing one for us it would allow for others to explore adoption. There are no vendors yet although there has been much discussion. Oh you can buy poker chips, lol. They are actually really nice quality chips. We do however have someone working on a upgrade to our chain in their spare time, can't quite comment on what will happen as I really don't know. We (as in the people who care and are participating) discussed slowing down the 1min block times and increased interest %. If you can stake enough for a few free coffees a week or month for instance we can approach small business as a token of sorts. Use pink and save on CC fees while a small % goes to a donate4life fund. Customers hold coins at home to earn and stay loyal to their local small businesses. Pink will get there it just takes time and we have alot of kids/busy lives. Funny thing about time is sometimes what you waited for and planned or discussed is just around the corner. Mac wallet is out there but I need to locate a copy for the pinkcoin.ca site. If anyone has one please link one. We have a awesome tipbot on Twitter that can automate donations/tips to keywords/followers. This will be a tool to help small business owners. This has some excellent growth potential as well as pink develops. As the automated trading increases in profitability they will be used for fundraising and supporting pink thus increasing price. Now you can start to see where we are headed. We need people though! None of this works without you so feel free to get involved. The original owner of this thread has not been able to reestablish ownership when bct was last hacked and we are unable to change the front page. We understand the wallet issues unfortunately the people were remain with the team are unable or should I say don't have the time to figure out blockchain code if that's what you call it. They have been working extremely hard on the automated trading program while we wait for the volunteers to help with the coin. If we had a large Development Fund I'm sure we could fix the wallet issue right away. I can say though that it is being worked on and you should probably see an update to the current wallet before we completely fix our issues. We are in currently in discussions with the best way to achieve a smooth-running chain. We have many supporters and we chat everyday in Slack. Our coin is in the process of upgrades and we have no desire to re-implement anonymous transactions. We have had many people apply to help but most want a bounty or we are just not interested in the desired contributions at the moment. IE: chat box in our wallet. I am not sure how many more posts I need to make before I'm considered leadership. Kidding.... you are talking to one of the "leaders" right now. Anyway we have our plan and it's coming together nicely, the automated trading platform will be monetized soon and support will grow with pink. We don't want a technological driven coin with all sorts of fancy features. It just needs to be a simple functioning chain with great interest. And it will become such... My connections aren't strong, usually 2-6, but the wallet keeps updating how many blocks I'm behind but never downloads any. The current status I have is from the last time it synced 56 days ago. I'm using the .4 version. Any advice would be great. I've searched and find mostly Windows solutions.
