Nope not compassion. I was twisted when I wrote this thinking someone would actually care. I have accepted my situation and if I need to leave this world I will.

The problem with that is that even when other people care, they stop after awhile. If you don't find enough reasons to care for yourself, you probably will end up in a place where you think you need to end it. I get there all the time these days. I just came home from Integris ICU and am washing some clothes and grabbing something to eat before I head back. My wife has pneumonia again for the second time this year. Dementia is a bitch. It robs you of your mind and then starts in on your body. Sometimes I fantasize about when she dies and I can just swallow all her narcotics with a nice bottle of single malt and end this nightmare. I don't think I will. I want to see my grandchild finish growing up. She's turning into a remarkable young lady and I can't wait to see her take on the world after college. The girl is fierce! (grin)

Life is subjective. Even rich people kill themselves. Find your own reasons to stay alive. A few BTC from strangers isn't gonna be enough of a reason.
4  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] peatio.com the world's first 100 percent public owned bitcoin exchange on: June 24, 2013, 02:23:08 AM
The problem here is that even a sound p2p solution emerges, it will still have to depend on some sort of "gateway" (a term used by ripple).
Yes, gateways do become the next CPoF (Central Point of Failure) if you move your exchange to software, I understand.

The challenge then would be to find a way to create gateways that simply cannot be shut down, such as being too numerous or completely anonymous.

uhm...clueless noob here cause I have no idea what a "gateway" is, but what yer describing is called a smartphone. Well...as in too numerous to all be shut down at once and anonymous as in beer. I mean bitcoin anonymous. Oh nevermind. (grin)

Not my P.I., he was a dude on the forum that contacted me. Just give it up, you been lying this whole time, their is no sick wife. Wink I know this is an act and you can let it go now. Also how am I being childish your one that post images.

Same response to your nonsense as the other thread:
To quote your threat:
"Has nothing to do with liberals and conservatives, neither agree on Fraud as a way of handling your problem. This is fraud, no two ways about it, and if ever releases his name I am going to contact the IRS about it. I already started to look into him with the help of a private investigator, it is only a matter of time he is in jail. (grin) LMAO"

You've insisted on stalking me around this board, insulting me and my wife, and now you're equivocating on your threat but still insisting I'm the liar? Why am I not surprised. Balls to the wall time. In another post, you claim a "lurker" hired the private investigator, but got "some good information". And now that is your claim and seems to give you permission to insult me yet again.
You seem to think you can frighten me away. Or convince others I'm a liar. Let's see who has the biggest "truth" cojones. Want the IRS to audit me? Want me in jail? Please, don't make me laugh. What you fail to realize is that my situation can't be made worse. Only different. My real name is Jimmy Hankins. I live at 3146 NW 49th Street, OKC, OK, 73112. My phone number is 1-405-943-1068. I'm 54 years old and your "source" is, like you. Full of it.

Now. Your turn. Prove ANY SINGLE ONE of the accusations you've made against me. Or shut up.

That is your parents address, and it was PI that was lurking and decided to look into you. Now just admit your 16yrs and this was a lie. Their is no sick wife. I am sorry to call you out like this so I can see your anger. But claim down no one is sending a 16yr liar to jail.

Yeah, that's what I thought. All BS and no balls. You DO realize that it doesn't take a private investigator to check me out with just the info I put on here? Hell a phone call could do it. Much less someone as rich as you claim to be. You really should shut up now. But go ahead. Pick that shovel back up and keep digging that hole deeper! (grin)

In all seriousness, l would just like to witness a little empathy from time to time. A world without it kinda sucks.

Yeah lets have empathy for someone taking advantage of my money. Sorry but I can't... Fraud is a serious crime, and should not be taken lightly in any sense.

I'm pretty sure the OP paid into the system that he now would like to extract some value from. We all paid into it in case we need it. The OP is just asking for what HE already paid for. The only person taking YOUR money is the bureaucratic infrastructure to which we fund.

The OP is just an individual trying to extract the value that was provided by the tax revenue he paid for a benefit he now needs but never used. Just because you don't need it, but are forced to pay it; does not  mean Jim is taking your money. Fraud is avoiding paying what is owed, and taking that which is not deserved.

Under our current system, we are required to pay in and then leave the decision making to a largely inept system. We should at least agree that Jim is deserving based upon the information available; and the system is broken at its very core.

Can we find something on which to agree? Or am I just a bleeding heart liberal and you a cold hearted conservative? I don't believe either is true.

Hugs gweedo.

Has nothing to do with liberals and conservatives, neither agree on Fraud as a way of handling your problem. This is fraud, no two ways about it, and if ever releases his name I am going to contact the IRS about it. I already started to look into him with the help of a private investigator, it is only a matter of time he is in jail. (grin) LMAO

Time is passing. I'm still not in jail. Put up or shut up Gweedo. (grin)

I like how your on a forum all day, but yet you say you have a sick wife. Shouldn't you be tending to her, or is that lie Wink Never even seen proof.

And again for clarification, I don't have a sick wife, her condition is terminal. She's 5 years into the 7 years they gave her. So when I say we only have to wait 6 more years before she qualifies for her retirement benefits and won't get Medicaid anymore, I'm being optimistic.

Just ask the private investigator you say you were hiring with your BTC wealth to put me in jail. He should have pictures by now of what I do all day. It's called caregiving. It's necessary when the person being cared for is unable to do things for their self like cook, eat, stand, personal hygiene, houseclean, self-administer meds, remember to take meds, take meds without overdosing, drive to Doctor, Clinic, treatment, etc. appointments, fill out all the paperwork required multiple times a year, reach a phone and remember how to call 911 after falling and breaking wrists while using a walker, at least once a year, laundry, shop for food, clothing, personal and household cleaning needs, following her around when she's manic or panicked to stop her from throwing herself out a window or glass door to say hi to the postman, not leave the house nude, etc. I'm also on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with no time off except for when she's willing to go to the Daily Living Center. If she yells for me, or I hear panicked or enraged or confused screaming or crying, I get to wake up and deal with the situation, whether I've had enough sleep or not.

On the positive side of things, I don't have to worry about what my friends think. They freaked and stopped wanting to deal a long while back. So there's that. Yep. I'm lucky! I get to sit around being lazy and posting here when I'm not doing some of that easy peasy stuff. And you think you have it made with all yer bitcoin wealth! Hah!

And I get to do fun stuff too! Right now I'm researching the Medicaid poverty level necessary for partial help in getting her 20 year old dentures replaced. Even though she doesn't want replacements despite the fact that she keeps almost choking to death on unchewed food. Unfortunately, like foodstamps, I don't think we're "poor" enough to qualify for help. And figure out how to pay for it whether they help or not. And find a reputable orthodontist to do it right for as little as possible. Setup a tech to come out and administer a sleep study at home because she walked out on the one at the sleep study center when she woke up and panicked because she didn't know where she was and who the strangers were or where I was. Then, I get to go out to the Senior center she gets transported to 3 times a week and try to convince them to let her stay even though they have to help her up from chairs now, so I can have a few hours to catch up on sleep, and do the chores she refuses to let me do when she's home because of a little side-effect called fixation, like clean her toilet bowl extender, shower chair, find all the soiled clothing she's hid out of embarrassment and wash it, buy the groceries without having to put back all the stuff she grabs and throws in the basket that we'd never eat or can't afford, return all the items that she thought she would wear or use, but forgets she even has when we get home. I could go on and on, but I'm sure the private investigator can offer you all the proof you need to either prove my wife isn't sick and I'm a liar, or that my wife is sick and I'm just a bum. Either way, I'm a bad bad man!
Tell you what, yer rich. You should be able to afford to come and see for yourself. Get the address from your P.I. and come by and visit for a couple of hours. Or even a day or two if you want. I think you'll be in for a shock.

...
Really doubt that silk road got us mainstream. Most people hear what silk road is and turn their back on us.
No, most people hear about silk road and wonder what it is. Then how it works. Then why the government doesn't arrest the people doing it. Then how the people involved don't get caught. Then what Bitcoin is. Then why it's worth so much. Then how they can get some. Some probably dislike and think just as low of the people buying drugs on silk road as they do of people buying drugs off silk road. I doubt many of them think that people wouldn't buy drugs online without bitcoins. People do it all the time without bitcoins already.

The real problem here is that you don't believe in Bitcoin. You think that if the Powers That Be look at the behavior of bitcoin users and don't like it, they can destroy, damage or limit it in some way.
People like to give online Poker as an example. It was booming until the Powers That Be realized money was being exchanged that wasn't under their control or regulation. So they went after it. They confiscated a lot of money and put some people in jail. And they did kill it temporarily in the U.S. It took them a few years, but it was dead. But it flourished overseas. Did so well in fact that it's back in the U.S. again.
Even if the U.S. government, or other Powers That Be, decide to make it harder for you to do business because "people like me" don't do and see things the way you think they should, bitcoin will continue. Or Litecoin or some other second or third generation altcoin will replace it. Crypto-currency is the most disruptive technology to come out since the Internet. More disruptive than smartphones, tablets, and social sites like Facebook. It's not going anywhere.
Bitcoin is still in beta. There are no guarantees that it is the "final" crypto-currency. I understand your concern over your business model, your concern that the actions of others might not help you achieve your goals for bitcoin. But your goals don't appear to match the reality of bitcoin. I believe that crypto-currency is the future. That it's already started, And nothing you believe can stop it will do so. Including "people like me." Or even "people like you. Oops, I almost forgot the picture that makes what I say meaningless.

I believe your doctor is mistaken, you are the one with dementia. I'd get that checked out.
This is a bit off topic, but let me try to clarify the situation for you, so that your truthiness can have actual data to "interpret". (grin):
It's possible. I wouldn't know. I can't afford to have a doctor or health care. I could if I was truly interested in defrauding the welfare system. But I'd risk getting caught. And jail would make it difficult for me to be my wife's caregiver. So for the next 6 years, I'll just have to risk my health so that she can have the healthcare she qualifies for under her disability status. I'm just the lazy bum that takes care of her 24/7.
Quote
Moving your money to something else of value (bitcoin) purely for the reason of dropping under a "must not have $XXX in savings" is welfare fraud. It's not "Abiding" by the law, no matter how much your addled brain rationalizes it. The government has said that bitcoin is not exempt from taxes, and if any taxable transaction where dollars changing hands takes place, no matter what form it's in (dollars, pesos, bitcoins, shiny pebbles, etc..) you have to pay and report that.
Again, I have only inquired about the possibility of using a BTC wallet as a method of storing for emergency purchases instead of keeping cash on my person. As gweedo's Private Investigator has most likely found out by now,  a certain limited amount of cash for maintenance of selves, housing and transportation IS allowed. But keeping that in a savings account until it's used COULD cause automatic disqualifications from programs that would then require a lot of paperwork, time and appeals to get reinstated. The government agency's solution? Keep it in fiat cash on your person.
My addled brain makes it necessary for me to know the limits of what I can legally do without placing my wife in danger of losing her "entitled" status because she won't work just because her Doctors have had the nerve to diagnose her with Dementia and Bipolarism, thus making her unemployable.

Actually, my understanding is that the government hasn't yet said that bitcoins are taxable. My understanding is that taxes for persons on Capital Gains can apply if the individual makes more than $200 off of anything, not just Bitcoins. Nor have they clarified whether holding BTC in a digital state qualifies as a taxable item.
I never said that I was trying to avoid paying taxes, OR attempting to commit welfare fraud. I did express my frustration with a system that requires I play so many complicated games that they allow (and in some cases require) so that my wife, not me, stays qualified.
I'm sure that by now, gweedo's private investigator has found out that I've inquired, in writing, about what status investing in BTC in a "wallet" would have on my wife's continued ability to suck off the government teat! In fact, by now, gweedo's private investigator should have talked to the CPA who does my taxes, and makes sure we report everything correctly, and my wife's case managers, both actual government ones and the ones they've contracted ,about our status, how many times she has to re-qualify, gotten copies of all the many many many forms I've filled out for her, etc. Lots of them aren't actually covered by HPPA.
It was my hope that I could accrued an amount over time in a BTC wallet that would not violate tax laws, or entitlement program requirements. I don't believe that hope qualifies as a desire to defraud anyone either.

See? I'm not even asking you to take my word for any of this! As soon as gweedo shares the evidence his private investigator uncovers, all will be made clear! But don't let the possibility of facts get in the way of your truthiness. Where'd be the fun in that? (grin)

You are no different than the ghetto queen driving a Escalade using food stamps for lobster and steak, because apparently the rules apply to neither of you. But somehow you are better than everyone else playing the rules, so carry on.
I wish I had an Escalade! I'm glad we don't meet the requirements for food stamps. I feel sorry for people that do. Fortunately our status on the "entitlement ladder" is high enough that we can pay our bills, buy our own food, pay our mortgage, and thanks to SSD, Medicare and Medicaid, keep my wife alive. I've never claimed to be better than everyone else, or anyone else. All you humans seem alike to me. (grin)

Actually HIC's would stop "people like me" from being able to do any of the things you seem worried I might accomplish if I ever posses any Bitcoins. And I don't think it's clear at all that I have no interest in bitcoin other than for purposes "fraud". I'll say it again: I have no intention of committing fraud or attempting to break the law at all. Honest! (grin)

I've given some thought to the error of my ways in my first Newbie thread: Bitcoin as a savings account. http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=205597.msg2150004#msg2150004

I've been accused of seeking help from this community only for the purpose of Tax Fraud. That was not my intent when I gave TMI or tl;dr, or however you youngster determine that stuff. My intent was simply to inform that my personal situation was one that prevented me from having a fiat savings account. And that Bitcoin looked like a way to ABIDE by the specific and highly subjective rules and laws of my situation. Two things were pointed out to me: 1. Bitcoin was too volatile and too "beta" to be used as a Savings account currency. 2. I must be trying to commit some kind of tax fraud that would the "downfall" of BTC. So, for those that think crypto-currencies, and all it's users, should be transparent and easily taxable; the usual solution(in my humble noob opinion) is a fork of BTC. One that would prevent "people like me" from causing the downfall of Bitcoin. I'm posting this tl;dr in Newbies because I think the idea that a noob like me could be part of the "downfall of bitcoin" MUST be a newbie one. Despite the fact that a few "oldbies" or "Hero" level users have accused me of these dastardly criminal intents!
So I propose an alternative digital coin with these features: The HonestInjunCoin aka HIC's!
1.Unencryptable. If HIC's can be encrypted, it can make it harder for the moral and upstanding enforcers of laws to track for tax purposes, unreported money transfers, etc., all the things that crypto-currencies make possible.
2. All confirmations of HIC movement must go through a USA agency, recorded to that secret NSA data storage facility, and reported to FinCen, the IRA, FBI, and any other 3 letter agencies with an interest in tracking our financial movements to make sure WE stay moral, upright citizens. This information should be made available to any other country's agencies to make sure ANY users of HIC's obey both U.S. AND any other tax or financial regulators that want to collect their fair share of revenue from users of digital currency.
3. It should only work in the next full update of Windows to Windows 9, so that Microsoft can make sure that the wallet, the miners, and everyone involved in use of HonestInjunCoin software and Apps pays all applicable transfer fees, steals from no-one ever without being caught, and PAYS THEIR DANG TAXES!!!
4. I'm sure the less newbish users of this forum can point out considerations I've left out of the Ideal altcoin for making digital online currency users acceptable citizens of their government.
5. (grin)

Best of luck in your situation. I think you should invest in FTC it has a lot of potential right now.

Thank you. I did get the info I asked about here. Nefarious as it was. I'd use an old linux box offline as a cold storage wallet hooked up to an old printer to make the paper wallets. Transfer everything from the linux partition on the other old xp box my wife plays on. I'd do everything crytpo online there. This box is just for fun like this! (grin)

As for Bitcoin as a savings account, from what I've read, that isn't a good idea. Too volatile, too expensive, too risky. Interesting long term investment if you can afford it. Alt coins like LTC & FTC do look more interesting as a pure gamble of an investment.

Best of luck to you and yours.

...I don't think even people like me that you assume see bitcoin as a means for tax fraud can even come close to hurting bitcoin. But that's just my opinion. Yer entitled to all of yours, of course.
You would be wrong. Online gambling was pretty popular for a while, till it got big and the feds cracked down. Then they changed their business model up and the feds struck them down yet again, albeit after some time. If you think the same thing won't happen to bitcoin you are naive. This thread is now indexed on search engines across the web, for all to see and use. But you are right, you alone can't hurt bitcoin just the same as you alone probably won't shut welfare down. But you along with all of the other freeloaders in unison SURE THE F**K can.
So, you come to to this forum asking for help committing fraud, because weather you like it or not IT IS WELFARE FRAUD. What do the people of the forum do? Offer to help.
Real nice. But I guess it's to be expected from a forum mostly filled with kids begging for some magical "faucet" of free online money.
Ouch. That really hurt me! I guess I'll just stop taking money from the government and die! End my freeloading ways! And I dared to bring them to such an outstandingly moral and law abiding community! For shame! I'm gonna hang my head and cry now. No, don't watch. It's not gonna be pretty. That's it. I'm giving you equal credit with gweedo now! I'm sorry I doubted yer worthiness.

You are really going to put all your savings in bitcoins? The virtual currency the government is sheepishly cracking down on for tax fraud and you want to use it for that purpose? Seems smart.

Good luck getting anything of value for those coins down the line, especially if people like you continue seeing bitcoin as a means for tax fraud.

Thanks to people like him that will be happening sooner.

Whew! For a minute there I thought you weren't gonna respond! Thanks gweedo! My post count would be MUCH lower without you! (grin)

Yes people like you are hurting all the stuff that big bitcoiners like me do. Do you not see that, by committing tax fraud governments will not look pass that? Or you just too stupid, maybe your wife, is rubbing off on you. LMAO

Also again you being an idiot, post counts don't matter anymore, you can post 1000000 times but every two weeks it only counts for a little bit.

But I like my post count! I think the things I post are doing good, not harm. I'm sure people will look at my posts and your posts and come to their own conclusions. And I don't even need a private investigator to know that! (grin)

I love a couple of good assumptions in the afternoon. Smells like teen spirit! or uh...victory? What? I'm old! (grin)
Assumption #1 "all your savings" amounts to 0. So, yeah, I think I'm gonna go ahead and put that in bitcoins.

I'm sorry of any offense. The world is certainly screwed up for many people. It makes me wonder how more they can squeeze out of the people before there is any serious reaction from the public. The riots we see in Spain and Turkey could happen everywhere soon. Sorry for your wife and hopefully you will get your life on track again.

No offense taken. Thanks for the well wishes. And Syria, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Greece, etc. Lots of opportunity for crypto-currencies!
