5  Economy / Digital goods / Virtualminer - Website + Code on: April 22, 2013, 09:37:37 PM
I am selling Virtualminer, the first and only virtual mining game Bitcoin has seen so far.
Virtualminer is a game about creating and using virtual hashing computers on virtual crypto currencies and trading those on the exchange of the website.

The website currently hosts a bit more than 400 users and paid out almost 200 BTC since it was started almost two years ago.
I am offering the page and code due to lack of time for maintaining and extending it.

What do you need to run it?
A (virtual) server running linux with at least 512 MB RAM and cronjobs available. Rule of thumb is: if bitcoind runs then virtualminer will run as well.

What will you get?
THe ownership of the domain and the website's code including the database.

How will i sell it?
Due to good experience with auctions i will do an auction on this again.. so if you want to bid on it, just send me a PM.

After about 100 hours my money made it into my paypal account...

But i still think it is a shame that they shamelessly took 9% fee of the top.. as if that was any accaptable service.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm new here Shocked

If a person pays for bitcoins though zipzap and the transaction is listed on bitcoin as a transaction , but no bitcoins have been recieved.  That means there is a delay with delivery of the bitcoin at the bitcoin end right?

At what price does the buyer get their bitcoins?  The price at the time when they submitted the order, or the time when they actually arrive?

If you are lucky they will push you funds through in 3-5 days at the going market.

But from the looks of it it will be rather 4 to 6 BFL weeks...
12  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is BITINSTANT scamming??! on: April 13, 2013, 07:12:51 PM
pretty sure they gambled with the users money while the price was raising and made a nice amount of money through that... yet now that the bubble did burst they face the problem that their coin is only worth half of what it should be.. so they have to take orders to pay older orders..

I dont have proof but this is the only reason i can think of why all of a sudden they have liquidity problems and deny people (like me) the money they should have got a week ago...

If someone has a better reason for this i'd be happy to hear it..

I am simply writing this to give my honest overall opinion of Bitinstant and to give you guys an idea of what you are in store for.  I have been using Bitinstant for a long time and I never even had to create an account on here except until a few months ago.  And I feel that this increase in business is a horrible excuse for what is happening. If you cant handle your company shut down your site, fix all orders 100% and then only take what you can handle.  They even said that it takes days for them to receive payment so it is blatantly obvious that these guys do not have the money on hand to operate so they are waiting for you new guys to place orders to pay for the old ones.  Its not how you do business and I do not see how they are even operating.  These guys are making a killing off of shorting everybody and if they tell you they match the BTC price that is a lie.  For you to get that honored not only do you have to wait till your transaction finally gets processed you then have to catch their mistake and message some one on here and hope that you get the difference.  The 2 times that this happened I got the 1 BTC I was owed for the difference in price and the second time was after waiting 2 weeks it was closer to a 2 BTC difference which I never received and was told I would get after messaging numerous people but I did not even bother following up any more with it since I was so pissed off with them and just happy that I received most of my transaction and this was a few months ago so the price was not as high as it was today.  Obviously only a small percent of people will do that and that still does not even guarantee you your money so 90% of the time they are keeping what you deserve.  Do not spend money with them unless you can afford to have your funds tied up for weeks at a time and you do not mind receiving the absolute worst customer service you will experience in your life.  I have personally dealt with the CEO Charlie/Yankee and i am not sure if he was having a bad day but he was a complete douche and seems like most of his responses to people on here are not very helpful.  I am only on here to tell people my experience and let them judge if they feel like risking it.  I feel a little better now lol.

Nice put..

Also... what about compensation for these problems? If people wait a week for the execution of their orders  bitinstant should at least drop the incredibly high fee... or lower it. This way though they make really some bad reputation for themselfes.

A while ago i told everyone "Yeah, it is expensive but they work instantanously..." i wouldnt do so any longer.

Still waiting for Order ID 62f756f2-1770-4361-a5a2-ccb68132efbb to show up in GOX account

24+ hours now

106 hours... and counting

OrderID: 8ded4ee8-2ba1-4e09-9a28-cd3f3b03b596

Lists 4/8 and 4/9, new "ticketing"-system and sent several Emails.

But ok, i take it no longer serious... Instant is still ok for me as i deal with geological timescales on my dayjob, maybe i have to sit back and relax as the bitinstant staff comes from a similar field of work? No idea.. but then this waiting would make at least some sense.... -_-

Pay Pal transactions can take at least a week to verify before they are completed.

Are you kidding me? Each transaction i made till today went through in < 12 hours....

I was on two supporting lists, sent my data - as requested via pm and entered it into the contact page.

I know every problem has a unique solution. Why not trying a standard solution:
You already redeemed the mtgox code so how about send that redeemed USD to my paypal account?

Morning everyone!

I made a cash deposit to GOX this morning thru BitInstant.  It went thru perfectly.  The system is working great.

Now let's solve some back logged issues!!!

 Cool

Extremely provoking comment. Honestly. GET THE FUCK BACK TO THE LIST AND GET _US_ _OUR_ MONEY!

TY some one has to say  it i feel the only way to get help on here is to be a dick  get on that list ursay!!!!!!

There might be close-to-realtime chat here, there might be supporters working on this but the ever returning comments like "read my sugnature" and "for ME it worked flawlessly" is not exactly what counts as support when people wait for 4+ days for their money...
Thing is, i have had several  transactions since bitinstant was started and they all worked.. but now that i see how arrogant the so called supports reacts to the customers complains and problems i feel really cheated.
The least would be to solve the problems as fast as possible.. the NORMAL would be for a self-respecting company to offer sort of a compensation for the trouble.. but i dont believe neither will happen. I think this all will resolve to "Woops, we traded with your funds and made a mistake when the bubble did burst. Sorry, but we are insolvent."..
