1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NOXT] - NobleNXT Proposal/Whitepaper - Noble's 1st Colored Coin on: April 13, 2015, 10:18:35 AM
As a Noble enthousiast, I want to ask what is the difference between NobleCoin and NOXT?

Can somebody tell me the unique selling poin of NOXT, why should I buy this coin (please do not respond with make money as that is not 100% sure...)

The OP gives this information, which contains a lot of jargon like coloured coin, etc.
NOXT is a crowd funded coloured coin that aims to incorporate many market-expected features while having a game-plan of pushing the possibilities of coloured coins in what is becoming an increasingly regulated and accountable space. These coins work differently to the decentralized cryptocurrencies often presented. While parts of it is theoretical at this point in time pending regulations, licensing and legal clarifications from authoritative bodies on how the technology may be used moving forward (parts I make sure to clearly identify), much of it is already possible today pending a little exposure, faith, work and funding.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NobleCoin[NOBL] - Proof Of Stake | MARKETPLACE on: April 01, 2015, 08:46:56 PM
Does anyone know of someone willing and able to work on the wallet graphics, I figure we should have a more unique wallet if you take a look at say what Mega (mec) coin has for a wallet, should we go for something like this ? eagle has done the coding for the blockchain side of things, graphics as far as the wallet goes would make us stand out a little more, every alt coin has a litecoin / BTC style wallet ... We're Noble, we are not like the rest.... Any ideas, I have time to chase people up and ask for help, I just don't know who ... so give me suggestions and I'll beg borrow and steal some love from someone willing to help

Back to Noble coin Dev ... WE NEED SOME MORE HELP!  any ideas ......
Ok very new my 2nd post ever. I would like to ask if I may, could we get some funds together and pay for some of the developments we seek to further the coin. I may be able to get some btc together to get help on the wallet. I have seen on btc talk were some coins use bounty type programs for a incentive. I think we should do the same. Like i said I'm brand new here. I welcome any ideas or help with this process. if we can figure out who will over see, check out what we are paying for. I would be willing to put in some BTC and I bet others would do the same. Anyways I would like to get some discussion going on here about this. Smiley
I agree that the look and feel of a coin is an important thing. In the past we have had this discussion; how to improve and how to change the overall style, create a marketing plan, etc. However it never became reality, (too) many opinions and discussions which makes it almost impossible to make a decision.

So in my view we should start (or continue as Rofo assigned people for this in the past) with a projectleader or somebody who tracks the progress. We need to approach this professionally, so we can get things done. For example we should first decide with Rofo IF he is open for a "new" wallet logo and what his requirements for the new logo are.

First the basics (requirements, usage, budget, time, kind of output, etc) before we can jump to hiring somebody.

Hey Guys, Good to read NobleCoin with Rofo and other core members is still active. It's been a while since I was active with Crypto's as it only got me frustrated due to the short-term view of most people (does not relate to NobleCoin)!

Anyway just wanted to say Hello  Cool and feel exited about the new site and other things coming. If there is anything I can assist with, feel free to contact me.

I have been telling this already so many times before, please threat an AltCoin just as a Company!

In regular company's there is a business vision, that is supported by long term and short term goals. Make those clear to everybody, then there should be roadmap that has "projects" on it. These projects of course should be linked to the goals so everybody can see where this coin is heading.

I do see it's difficult to create this, however currently this is too less or fragmented information in my view.

Anyway besides this, seems like this coin also fell to the P&D shit that most coins have had to deal with. It's also funny to see how some people just control the whole market, they seem to be pumping a certain coin and then dump it. This works in their benefit on 2 ways, first is simple as they generate profit and secondly they can decide which coin loses it "momentum". Like the case is / was with VeriCoin, was gaining trust from so many people and for the past week it's been dumped as a whore with a STD.....

You made 200 posts on this thread in the last two days. We get it.

Not satisfied of the replies you're getting? If you been around long enough you should know why that is.
And bringing up your Hero member status to the talk makes you look more like a newbie.

You're not against the hard fork. Some people in the community truly are. And that's not the only concern.
If you were serious you would need 1 constructive post. I have seen none.

Is this how you contribute to the forum? Well done, look at what it has become...

I am against the hard fork. Asking questions and debating is not contributing? Wow...lol read more of this thread and see where I asked questions and got blank answers and name called had insults hurled at me. But i'm not going to cry about that. Just saying that is what happened.

IFFF you are honest, you would leave the thread and wait for the PUBLIC debate that was announced.

So don't think you can win discussions whining about grammar, punctuation and stuff like that. Not everybody is native English speaker (like me) and a discussion has never been won based upon this! So please go to sleep or buy a pet to amuse yourself so we can focus on the things that matter!

Also it is not subjective, this is THE definition of spam. Spam does not have to be advertising, it only has to be disruptive.

See my post above where I debunk your definition of spam as I only posted it once.

It is subjective I as one person may say "disruptive" means posting something one way (many times) is spam and another user may view it as that by just posting it once.

Here for you since you want to play word games:

sub·jec·tive
səbˈjektiv/
adjective
1.
based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions.
"his views are highly subjective"
synonyms:   personal, individual, emotional, instinctive, intuitive More
antonyms:   objective
dependent on the mind or on an individual's perception for its existence.
2.
GRAMMAR
of, relating to, or denoting a case of nouns and pronouns used for the subject of a sentence.

IGNORE SMOOTHIE, BEFORE THIS HAPPENED HE DID NOT POST ANYTHING ON THE VRC THREAD, NOW HE SIMPLY WANTS TO DESTROY IT. If you look at his previous posts from page 10, you will see he deals (physical) with LTC  Grin Grin Grin Shocked So simply said he BENEFITS from the fail that VRC has, smart guy but simply to obvious and not really what you call a trustworthy person (if you are here to FUD!)
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | POS - NSDI | VeriBit | VeriSend | VeriSMS on: July 15, 2014, 07:24:05 AM
Haha really this is how people respond to all this! All the hard work, effort and sweat that the devs have put into this!

Only 1 thing seems to be clear, people are only on this thread to make this coin FAIL!! When I see all the Newbie accounts being active at this thread, come on this is too obvious. Besides these Newbie accounts I only see Hero accounts who are active with Crypto since forever complain about this... Reason for this, to protect their investment as this coin has potential to take away a part of the BitCoins market. As is has Bitsend and a real-life usable transaction time, these 2 things combined give me the trust that this will / could be the future.

However the hack (weird it only hit VRC as BTC and LTC were targetted, read Mintpal statement) did some damage to the coin. Every day I read more and more posts, I get more and more doubts if this whole hack was not directly targetted agains VRC to make it FAIL!

Im not worried about my investments.

You can try to put words in my mouth but it doesnt work.

I am here to call things as I see it. Obviously many here would like to view the recent decisions as a good thing. I simply do not and have had extensive discussions with at least a dozen users here who have opposing views.

Nice try to make me seem to be something I am not. It doesn't work on me.

Nice try to post simply words and make a sentence out of it, funny thing is, I have not named your or anything but apparently you seem to be attracted to my post Cheesy

So simply said you have a large stack of BTC which you want to protect Wink Besides this your reasons why are very clear and strong hahaha (this was sarcasm!)

So much FUD, and price shit at it, its still around 36k, after few hours on bittrex, where is ur "sell off, price to 0" fuders? Dream more, only stupid ppls sell now, VRC is one of best alt coins few month or even more, and its growing, leave it or BUY it, dont SPAM ur fud trash, its boring.
Seems this thread is full of fudders and people trying to ruin the coin! Have seen this same "shiit" at other coins, even 51% attacks that cost money are / were something that happened to another coin for more than a couple of weeks. These kind of attacks / crap was done just to ruin the image from the coin and also the alt scene!

What I'm trying to say is, the more "success" VeriCoin will have, the more haters it will get! Think about the ELITE that has +1000 BTC who will do whatever is needed to protect their money / power. Probably most of us would do exactly the same if we were in their position. Another possibility is that some P&D team is trying to buy in cheap as they know new things are coming soon "Android wallet, etc"! So many reasons for them to ruin this coin to either gain more coins or to protect their stash!

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][URO] A Real Long Term Currency: 1 Uro = 1 Metric Tonne Urea Fertilizer on: July 10, 2014, 02:27:58 PM
when people calm down and think, they will know why 1 URO is not worth 1 metric tonne of UREA. for it too be worth 1 metric tonne of UREA there has to be 1,000,000 tones of it which is the max coins.
Just a simple Google search for worlds total urea production will tell u that

Heres a little screenshot for u

World Urea Supply/Demand Balance (million metric tonnes urea)
Supply                              2012 2013 2014 2015 2016
Capacity                          192.4 202.8 207.4 224.3 226.1
Total Supply*                 165.9 173.7 180.3 189.7 195.0
Demand
Fertilizer Demand         143.3 146.2 149.4 152.7 154.4
Non-fertilizer Demand  19.0 19.7 20.7 21.1 21.7
Total Demand                162.3 165.9 170.0 173.8 176.1
Potential Balance            3.5 7.9 10.3 15.9 19.0 % of
Supply                                2% 5% 6% 8% 10%

So uro wont even cater to 1% of that

answer this does that mean uro coin owns all the urea in the world, uro is a currency not a company/commodity, if make gold coin does that mean the value of each is worth a real gold coin

I dont understand which part you dont understand- first you ask something- i am telling you that worlds total urea supply is 180 MILLION metric tonnes and uro is only 1 million supply.

uro is just an alternative currency to buy urea - and the companies who signed the uro protocal have committed to supply 1 mt of urea with 1 uro ( minimum 12500 mt order). So which part you dont get.

If some one is giving 1 gold coin for 1 oz of gold in reality then 1 gold coin will eventually have the value of 1 oz of gold. yes
Why would ANY company be doing this, when you can buy Urea cheap and sell it high :S

I have been posting this same question before, which company has signed the agreement and what is their % of total world supply?

Besides this, is there ANY company outside India that has signed this agreement? I do see advantages for the company's that now sell to middleman (mainly company's based in India) as they can generate more profit / income. However why would ANY western company be signing the agreement???
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][URO] A Real Long Term Currency: 1 Uro = 1 Metric Tonne Urea Fertilizer on: July 10, 2014, 02:15:51 PM
How is not possible to simply state that URO is tied to Urea... IFFFF they indeed have signed contracts with suppliers of Urea, that means they (URO) had / has to give back something. In my opinion that can only mean that they either have given them a large stack of URO or they have made deals with the "cheap selling" Urea dealers in India (as they are located in India seems it is cheap so they would benefit from a rise in price). ps the idea of Uro is to create a trading platform for Urea (correct me if i'm wrong)

Anyway simply said that means that either a company has a LARGE stack or had insight in plans, therefore there isn't a fair distribution OR it is only working for the company's based in India and other Urea company's won't work with them. So it will simply be a trading platform that was created by 1 company and is mostly used in 1 part of the world.

Not saying this is a SCAM at all, just trying to get things clear. It is stated that they have "several" company's tied to it, maybe more specific information can clear up things. How much % of the world trade is done by those company's, what was the reason you were able to contact to company's and even get them convinced they cooperated?

Honestly I think the most logical reason would be, they are creating a trading platform for indian company's so they can increase the selling price and world wide distribution. Seems like a Win-Win situation for them!
somebody any answer?
Somebody please, no valid answer / response have been given.... Im not Fudding saying it's a SCAM, the opposite, just want to have some things clear/ valid to make a good opinion!

Could Noble be tied to a commodity?  Just a thought watching UROCoin take off.

Something everyone needs yet is overlooked?

Also still think business on the blockchain may be of interest...

Random suggestions.... Smiley

So either way, it's very difficult and tricky to tie it to a commodity.

Edit, an example that tried to give a coin real value was the launch of Auroracoin, they made claims it would be given to all the people of Iceland, but we are still waiting for seeing them implemented / executed.

Yup the worlds officially gone mad.

I like the idea of comodity backed coins.

But this uro thing is stupid. Its backed by thin air, and a PR team that is making people believe the world is ready to trade $350 Urea stacks for coins that where put out into the ecosystem without any backing at the time.

Its currently backed by 0 metric tons of urea. How many coins does the team own, and how many metric tons are they willing to sell for others for a URO coin? Thats all I need to know. Until the supporters start selling UREA for the coins they promote. I know its all BS taking poor suckers money. They pray on the stupid people with belief others will trade a real asset for one with the hope of being accepted. Why not invest right? easy 100x money cause the coins will be = to a real metric ton of urea? Are people so eager for instant gains they can't see the BS?

I could say I am making a GOLD coin (GLD). And that my group supporters trading our GLD coins 1:1 for real ounces of gold. I put out a PR saying, Billybobs GOLD fund supports using 1:1 billybobs coins for your real gold! If I sell you that idea? Doesn't it sound stupid. Its exactly what the URO coin is doing now no?

A group of people came up with a idea to benefit themselves. And are running it well. The good news is. It looks like that has effected all alts in a negative wave as every day trader and momentum trader is pumping the PISS outta it! That should help us get to a near term bottom and flush out the rest of the day traders.

You shouldn't focus on other coins, focus on things you / we can help to let the community grow!

People seem to forget that great things aren't build in a day, Vericoin has good defs with proper knowledge!

I wonder how long it will take for people to start realizing interested parties can make a graph do things. And then people do certain insanely predictable things based on the graph. And then someone somewhere laughs and takes your cheap VRC.

Good lord...people here talk about Wall Street coming to cryto like it will be some salvation. They'll come here all right, and eat every last person who eats, breathes and sleeps traditional TA alive...

Anyhow, keep selling please. I'll take cheap VRC.

Well actually i work at a major polish investment bank so i konw a little about it Smiley

That's exactly my point. Everything is too damn predictable.

I'm sure some folks are making decent swing trades during this volatility, some *has* to after all, but I just feel sorry for the people who aren't looking at the long game and getting burned by the puppeteer pulling strings.
If I create a sell order for 0.0003 would that be less predictable  Tongue

Problem is, many people only look at the price instead of combination of volume and price.

Hi Rofo, nice post. Just like you I also liked the SC-wallet. Actually I started buying SC from the beginning down to 500 sat. then I kept on buying up to 3000 and waited all the way up to the top and beyond. Sold some coins around 6000 and starting buying again at 4000. Oh, shit , I reall messed up with my SC-trading. This morning when I heart bholzer wat taking over, I bought again around 600 sat, can't help myself.
I really admire the way you are running this coin. I had a lot of Noble from the start and only bought more. Like I posted earlier, give me sign when I can help with some big giveaway. I have like 5M Noble I like to use for a giveaway. Hopefully we can figure out some kind of optimal functional giveaway. I also read a lot about POS coins, and more and more I come to the conclusion that a really high POS-reward is important. I like your idea, where the percentage of stake depends on the number of coins open for staking. At the moment the 100% stake looks pretty good, but maybe we should try to set ourselves apart from the rest by offering an even higher yearly return than a 100%.
What would be an optimal stake-percentage might be a really important issue, regarding future succes for a coin. Maybe there is someone in here, who has a clear ( maybe mathematical view) on the subject.
This is THE cool thing about NobleCoin, openness and honestly are appreciated here! Something rarely seen at other threads if you ask me.

Anyway got the motivation again to contribute to this coin; I have to stay true to my believe that NobleCoin will be one of the surviving coins. The price is just a number made up by people who hold a too large % of BTC, it does not in any way represent the real value of the coin.

BTW yes the staking % is important, guess the dev team has a view about this
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NobleCoin[NOBL] - **NOBL/$USD@VoS**MARKETPLACE/BULLION**52 CHARITIES/MERCHANTS** on: June 25, 2014, 09:54:31 AM
Here comes a shameful post from somebody that cheated and got burned  Roll Eyes Short version, I kind of lost a bit of my enthusiasm for NobleCoin as it was not moving in the direction I hoped. So I saw this little raw diamond called SilkCoin; a coin that is based upon nice slick wallet with great GUI and had potential. So I sat the ride (could have made +600% profit), was too stubborn to see it was going to be a "scam" coin and sold / reinvested. Anyway yesterday the news came out that almost all dev's just abandoned the ship, they sold their coins and all was over... In the end, I was lucky enough to not lose anything as I bought in really early but still it feels shit!!

My point is, that NobleCoin in alt crypto's is like a warm blanket in a cold winternight! This coin might not have the best innovations, the best marketing or a large investor behind it but we do have a steady coin that is transparent. I honestly did underestimate the scammy things that happen in this scene. One good example is that SilkCoin got targeted by a P&D group called BlackHand, they only invest to gain BTC and then try to ruin the coin! I am still surprised that people are that selfish, just for some $

Anyway glad to read the normal conversations at NobleCoin and to see that most of the brains are still active in this thread  Grin  Grin

BTW maybe we could get somebody to look at if they can "clone" the SilkCoin wallet (open source) and use it for NobleCoin.... Also their Eco-system idea is kind of briljant, it could solve the problem from going to POS that people don't want to leave their wallet open (just for staking)!

I really like the SilkCoin wallet and the clean design of a number of others. That's all I'll say at this point while we focus on PoS. Smiley

There are lots of coins with lots of community members and great volume (pump or otherwise) & BTC supporting them. In some ways I envy them, but the biggest problem is always figuring out if/when the BTC and 'movers' backing such coins are genuine or otherwise and if/when they will leave once the initial profit & hype is over. The Black Hand is an interesting name and is a group you can learn a lot from if you want to profit in this game. Another group/partnership I mentioned was The Unholy Trinity, which is still one of many groups, albeit smaller and a little outdated already. It's just how crypto is at the moment, lots of profit potential but unfortunately at the expense of others.

Let me just state something personally. This may or not come off positively. We move slower and make less announcements because we have to work hard with what we have and don't have the resources to pump prices or make big deals. We also move slower because we're genuinely working on things we are delivering. This isn't to say coins that make huge announcements and have huge uptrends aren't bullshit, but we consistently get compared to the latest hot flavour coins and all their wonderful innovations because we can't keep up. The majority of those coins don't deliver and have been abandoned in a month, that's the difference.

In terms of marketing more always helps. Here is another cold reality I feel applies to the scene that some people may or may not agree with. NobleCoin has had huge marketing potential with our original Water Project, with our international eSports sponsorship drive all over Twitch & the fact you can buy anything right now in the world from Amazon at a whopping 18% discount. They're a big deal and do draw eyes to Noble, but people don't jump on the train because no pump ('rise' might be a better word) follows such news. It might not mean we jump overnight (with a possible steep dump immediately after) or can promise immediate 10x gains, but to me it makes NobleCoin feel a little more real, if somewhat smaller.

With that being said, more is in the works and it really bothers me every day when I can't release particular info. I'm just itching to release. PoS & security is just our focus now until we can return to our truer 'roots'. We need some grassroots community driven movements for Reddit, Twitter, etc. and new community members that's for sure, but we are still growing.

Edit: I wouldn't consider any of it shameful. This is a fun game but money is involved and we all know the risks. I trade & take them myself just not with NOBL. We're not saints around here, just a little different and perhaps cuckoo for trying to do what we do. Wink
Smiley I understand that POS is the main thing right now, just wanted to bring the wallet under attention. Same goes for the Eco-system, it really is an addition (however it seems to be difficult to code) and unique feature!

For me it's actually positive that NobleCoin is stable and not having large swings. Yes we are not attracting the quick players but we are building our own fundamentals and core that in the future will be able to support all the innovation that is needed. Let other coins fight the war on innovation (anon, algo's etc) and we will stay true to our roots and implement proven innovations when the time is right! The way it should be done, downside is we are not one of the spotlight algo's!

Anyway glad to read the normal conversations at NobleCoin and to see that most of the brains are still active in this thread  Grin  Grin Seems one of the most difficult things in Cryptoland is to keep (good) dev's dedicated to a coin! We have seen this also with NobleCoin in the beginning, so sad to be honest because of collaboration could really make things work and trigger a change in the realworld!

BTW maybe we could get somebody to look at if they can "clone" the SilkCoin wallet (open source) and use it for NobleCoin.... Also their Eco-system idea is kind of briljant, it could solve the problem from going to POS that people don't want to leave their wallet open (just for staking)!
