1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in match fixing? on: May 23, 2024, 11:03:34 PM
I used to hear people say that most of the matches are being fixed by the football body such that they make sure that the matches play according to how they fixed them to play and the reason why the VAR was introduced was even to help in actualizing the match fixing. How true is this because what will be the benefit of fixing match without any benefits or do the football body do some secret gambling and makes sure it goes in their favour? Even some players are sometimes suspected to have been part of a match fixing just like in the match between Tottenham and Manchester city when Son Heung-min was one on one with Manchester City's goal keeper Ederson but he played the ball directly to the goal keeper and after the match, Pep Guardiola went to shake him and people were wondering if the match was fixed to favour Manchester city. So let's deliberate on this

Most probably there's no significant issues like that, that's only speculations from sport betting fans who's desperate to win. That's cheating to players if they're doing that, but it's in the system and actual game match won't be altered based on my opinion. Also you can see the line up match, then there's no way to manipulate these team set up on significant game matches.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Please stop gambling but instead use UMG so you can Gamble + Profit at same time on: May 23, 2024, 02:08:11 PM
The concept is more like gambling and ponzi scheme, it needs an investment promising sure wins. Gambling idea was used for this type of  approach, then they'll use referral system to influence other people who likes a quick rich mindset.
In gambling we can't guarantee winnings, it all about the odds and even if you got 100% potential you still won't get an accurate results. I've been through this type of earning platform last 2022, they've been using football game yet in the end the site eventually taken down itself.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lunatic gamblers who says Airdrop rewards are free funds. on: May 22, 2024, 11:02:35 AM
There is absolutely no Source of income that is free but some of my Bitcoin investors friends who are as much gamblers would not want to agree to that.
Currently, there had been several airdrops projects ongoing which participants are earning crypto coins without investing of money but executing some tasks.

So some of my friends says such funds are free money so they are delighted dedicating it to be spent on gambling and when they lost it all, it would be easier to let go because they did not stress to get the money.
Meanwhile... This usually comes a huge amount of money beyond their normal gambling budgets.

To me, they can utilize these so called free money by adding it up to their Bitcoin portfolio or even used it to spend on necessary things instead of dedicating to lavish it on gambling.

There's no such free if you did the task given as requirements for the airdrop participation, and for you to acquire the rewards 100% accomplishments should be done. Participants should value the amount of drop coins that eventually became profitable by the time it hits the market value. Some said it's free, but IMO efforts and time dedicated to that project is somehow very impressive. We shouldn't waste it just by gambling to the fullest, save the other half for your family's future.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to maximize winning potential and control excessive gambling habits on: May 22, 2024, 05:20:23 AM
That's safe and secure for rich gambler who owns a huge amount of money, bankroll for average player isn't applicable. Though it's a way and strategy to maximize potential winnings, I don't think controlling excessive gambling habits would be possible. When a person is lucky enough to win by all means of strategic approach, then there's no hindrance as long as it's for you during that day. Choosing to control ourselves, depends on our attitude based on reality.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never borrow money to be able to gamble on: May 21, 2024, 03:10:12 PM
That's a good piece of advice for all of us, but I don't think it would be applicable to a person with gambling problems particular to addiction.

There's no improvement that I see, it kepts recurring nothing happens and his debts is increasing so bad because of gambling.

Yes OP's post advice is practical however easier said than done. it's very easy to know what you should be doing before your session, but once your emotion arises, you forget all about those things about your rules. That's why it will always take you to much about your overall discipline following it. Otherwise, you will go in circles and getting back to your bad habits and addiction. You need to consciously end the cycle of you being a loser of the game and the only way to do that is to just do and follow your rules consistently. Discipline is not a magic handed to you. You must hone and develop it.

Actually, there's no easy ways to change a person especially when they're binded with addiction. However, if we felt a lot of failures because of that wrong decisions we made I guess it's our best chance to overcome certain habits instead of experiencing the same situation. Commiting the same mistakes, knowing that it caused you several circumstances no one will be blame but ourselves.

That's a good piece of advice for all of us, but I don't think it would be applicable to a person with gambling problems particular to addiction. My friend literally borrow money taking loans of different loan sharks, eventually he got so stressed of work just earning money for his debts.
Now, how this works for him and as a friend who gave him good advice doesn't take effect as many times I've been reprimanding him to control his gambling habits. There's no improvement that I see, it kepts recurring nothing happens and his debts is increasing so bad because of gambling.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What need to follow to play the stress free gambling game on: May 20, 2024, 04:29:00 PM
We could overcome stress on the days that you're not drained of money, then choose the betting games for sports betting because it's less stressful than slots games.
When you had a good mood, I believed gambling luck will get good results compared to negative emotions.
Less energy beguns within yourself, you should be gaining more of it before engagement of gambling. By the time struggles came in, you knew how to handle pressures and stress will be minimized.

Someones even in the best of times and positive energy, we lose in gambling. There is no hard and fast rule that if we are positive and fresh, we will win. Even with the hardest of days when you are down to earth with all the negatives emotions, you may find yourself lucky in gambling.

I think in order to gamble stress free it is important to gamble with less money. This way you won't be much concerned about the loss and you will enjoy the game better. I think it is losing a lot of money in gambling, that gives us big time stress and trouble.

Certainly, there's a lot of trouble that it might be escalated when you lose huge amount not just stress but also important relationship with the people around you. Number one is your family, work colleagues, friends, companions and intimate moments with your special someone.
Involvement of money could trigger alibis that forces you to possibly owe money from any of those person who's part of your life, so we need to control ourselves before the worst situation dominates you because of gambling.

9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does possessing information play an important role in betting ? on: May 18, 2024, 11:41:15 PM

.........

Possessing the correct information in the world of gambling is an advanced and useful step, as it makes the player play more comfortably without pressure from other players, which can change the course of the game at any time, increase the percentage of chances of profit, and reduce the percentage of losses on the other hand.

-Do you apply  this strategy while gambling?
-How do you benefit from it ?

I don't think that would be appropriate to say that, because not all information is certain in many cases. You should have verification of that particular information that came from someone else, most ideas came from speculations which definitely gathers attention just to influence others gamblers.
Some gambling sites, paid promotional ads in order to gain potential players who's their prospected customers. Percentage of profit in winning all depends the real time results, precisely there no fixed and accurate method of doing it.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My favorite loser on: May 18, 2024, 06:07:09 PM
If that's the behavior of the loser being so arrogant I wouldn't bet him as my favorite, and never in my gambling activities got favoritism on particular player who lose badly.
When I bet for sports betting, it's only for the game and not for specific individual who performs the sports. I care about their emotions, they're same humam like us, a special being who strive harder in their career.
So here in gambling it's more like sportsmanship, if win then you're lucky them if not well we should accept the reality that it's not our time of fortune.
If you can capitalize on that arrogance that leads to a midrange up to end game poor performance, I don't think that it's going to be worth disregarding that fact, I mean OP already said it in the thread that it's a good thing to bet against him because you know that he will eventually make a really poor performance before the game ends thus netting you an easy win, if I know that for a fact, I would love that person that is making me a lot of money, that's it. Regarding his behavior, he doesn't even know that we exist and any kind of anger or ire in his arrogance isn't going to change his behavior towards the people that's around him and the society that he belongs into, I guess some people are really just like that and that they hate being a good person or they weren't raised in a good environment, only way that they can change is if they want to do the changes themselves.

It's not the money actually, what I mean his attitude that I don't want to consider him as my favorite. But for the sake of winning streak, betting would be potential for wins upon seeing this guy loses along the way. That's purely gambling, so I don't really take it so serious on him and what's important to me is the amount to be won for my bets.

12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ? on: May 17, 2024, 04:49:51 PM
I've known a person who's not really a friend of mine that happens to be my workmate during the days when I was still at manufacturing industry. That guy used to gamble for lottery everyday, he spent his transportation budget just for buying lottery tickets at local outlets. Everytime this man walks throughout the day after work patiently try his luck for winning the jackpot. Eventually as years roll over, 15 years after of the same routine he got his perfect moment and a big break for him in life. This guy named Nonito, got his winning luck number combination with a total winnings of approximately 1 million dollars in cash.
After that scenario, everybody noticed him changed lifestyle and so on and so for speculations begun to arise but still he kept it as a secret.
Everything went clear after he suddenly left for work and took an absence without leave and took an immediate resignation without approval.

That story reminds me of him, not everyone is blessed as him though it's a lot of struggles before taking 1% chance of being lucky for once.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does destiny has influence in the amount we can win in gamble? on: May 16, 2024, 10:25:36 PM
.......

Not to bore us with many words... I want to ask to know about forum members opinions and views about this. Is it what it is or it's just a fallacy?

The problem of these people who've been complaining a lot, is the they always got fascinated with lucky of experiences that other players had been through.
Their mindsets didn't align to other gamblers who been playing despite of losing for several times. This is what make sense here, if a person's choice is having fun then that losses of winnings was just a mere reality and not by destiny. Once you don't like the scenario of casino's gameplay, the decision is yours to stop nobody forces you to drain the funds that you have.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be careful with people's money on: May 16, 2024, 09:36:24 AM
I have read many news that someone will mismanage people's money. I read one about a university student some years ago that gambled with the money contributed by his course mates. The main reason that is causing the money mismanagement is either trading or gambling, but I read more about gambling online. Some can be because of other reasons.

There is another one that I read today that people thought he ran away with people's money but he later confessed that he lost it to gambling. It is about a solana-based cypher developer, he confesses that he lost $300K of user funds to gambling.

The core developer of the Solana-based cross-margin decentralized exchange (DEX) admitted his wrongdoing in a public statement shared in a May 14 X post:

“To address the elephant in the room, the allegations are true, I took the funds and gambled them away. I didn’t run away with it, nor did anyone else.”

His statement on X:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ta9quGGrmTNE1Pi7MlgLgSx9zxEqQdkbBfis1pmHrM/mobilebasic

This is worst for a person affected with this certain scenario, due to trust issues that's why money mismanagement happens. Same with the one who managed the money, people entrusted that funds thinking that it would be safe in their friend's custody that turns out nightmare.
The huge mistake is the wrong mindset of quick rich idea, which this student found through social media and other crypto ads circulating online, it could be from trading or gambling. I feel pity to those affected students, because I myself experienced the same thing but not with gambling issue but due to personal interest.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your slices Luck that would have made you millionaire in gambling? on: May 15, 2024, 11:29:29 PM
I've come across this several times but most times I feel maybe I've enemies, fighting me not to survive in life but i noticed that it's a game of luck. First one day I predict a game earlier this week the odds were perfect for it to enter. My games were going so well i stake $1000 then total refunds it was about $10,000 i kept on praying in my mind, it was just one game for me remaining then all of a sudden i fell asleep on the process. While I wake up to check my game the last game ended me up with a cry 😭, i took the risk cause a friend of mine took the same risk now he his a millionaire because of one slice luck made him who he his today. And what I understand is that if you really want to be a millionaire through gambling, you only have to increase in your amount that you stake the higher the amount the richer you can in a minutes. I don't know for yours, what's yours?

There's no certain assurance in doing that specially on situation that I really need money to support the needs of my family. When there's a huge potential of the lucky wins and return of that gambling bets, the risk behind it is very painful when luck turns to loss.
Not just stress will affect your social being, but at worst our mental health will also be suffering. Let's take it seriously, control is very important and if not this will lead us to debts if not managed.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jose Mourinho Next Job (Season 2024/2025) on: May 15, 2024, 09:31:32 PM
With Jose Mourinho's popularity and fame no wonder people's trust could praise him for his journey in handling his team. Many people had great expectations for this season that they could beat the top competition on the Premier League, and the advantages is already there if your based their track records on history. Gambling odds was all dependent on this story, so let's take this as a 100% basis.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you realize you need to be a responsible gambler so you can continue ? on: May 14, 2024, 05:06:47 PM
We all know that we cannot play for a long time without being responsible players; we could go crazy, or we could lose all our money; at some point, you have to realize that you need to play responsibly, so I created this poll and this discussion to pick your reasons and explain it.

In my case, I have to lose a lot of money to realize I have to gamble responsibly if I don't want to break my finances and experience depression, so now I control myself and monitor my expenses, and I'm doing good with it.

I won't deny losing money in gambling same as you have experienced in life being a gambler, but once you see your family started suffering from financial struggles because of it I believed that as a responsible person who value money more than personal desires; gambling shouldn't be prioritized. Expenses was too hard to manage, always make sure everything is set according to your budgeting preferences. Not most of the time our earning job will accommodate those beyond our expenses, like gambling and other stuff like non sense shopping.
Always put things first before negative consequences might happen, that's how my mindset goes on this as a responsible gambler. Doing such thing isn't bad, we just need discipline and knowing our limitations.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much of my salary should I use to gamble on: May 14, 2024, 10:56:24 AM
Preferably I wouldn't recommend gambling in the first place, and using the money fo salary isn't an ideal thing to do. However, if you really wanted and desire to do gambling just gamble what you can afford to lose.
Don't risk everything to the point that your family needs and basic expenses will be drained badly.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where are you hyper focus, online casinos or physical casinos on: May 13, 2024, 11:56:23 PM
I don't think there is a topic created about this, so I'm creating one.

Physical casinos do not have clocks or windows on the gaming floor, and they offer free drinks like wine energy drinks, and food so the gamblers will be hyper focused this is why gamblers spend hours without even knowing they have already spent, while online casinos offer free spins, rakeback, and cashback so you can continue to play to level up to enjoy these perks.

So between the two where are you more hyper-focused and how many hours do you spend on one compared to the other?

Online casino has the most convenient ways to enjoy your time and spending it for so many hours without any hassle. Physical casino needs effort make yourself present on the venue, you spend money for transportation and food. Unlike with virtual casino, it can be experienced anywhere particularly at home or wherever place that you're going to prefer with. However, it's just my opinion I don't think other gamblers would agree with my preference since we're having each personal perspective.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chased loss, got it back and lost everything. on: May 12, 2024, 01:25:43 PM
Anyone here familiar with this kind of scenario on the title? Just recently saw a compulsive gambler diary which he manage to recover everything when he chased loss then later on he loss it all.

Reading this guy confession https://www.gamblingtherapy.org/forum/topic/compulsive-gambler-chased-loss-got-it-back-then-lost-everything-again/ sometimes remind me of myself when I’m still not that fully taking control my gambling habits. I’m sure other players can relate to the part that you still keep playing after recovering your losses for a hope to win a little bit before you leave.

That's the scenario from a friend of mine who kept losing his money and didn't even care about his family needs. His mindset was dependent with gambling, that's why he became homeless for two weeks and got kicked out from his dorm where he worked as a security officer.
On his position, it shows a bad example for those who still not addiction with gambling but we shouldn't judge him because I still believe there's perfect time to change.
