1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CHIPS] KMD platform's LN app with realtime betting+decentralized shuffling on: January 30, 2018, 01:31:30 AM
TradeSatoshi charges a 0.75 BTC fee for being added.

I am not sure what a reasonable fee would be these days for a coin addition. Would a pool be set up to contribute to, and the community could just add small amounts until it is full, or is there already a fund put aside for this?

I can look around for exchanges that are under the budget, if it would help.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: January 21, 2018, 07:06:35 AM
Is this a good place to ask Barterdex questions?

I was trying to sell some CHIPS for KMD. There were buy orders present on  both sides of the market, mostly with 255 UTXO's. I clicked on various orders/amounts with low average volume and it filled the Min Price Sell and Max Amount Sell fields, but the amounts were different than the values shown on the BUY orders in the order book that I had originally clicked on to fill the fields.

So then I hit the SELL button, and a few moments later, my order appears on the sell side, but no transaction takes place. It seems odd that the buy orders keep going up in price, but nobody buys my lower-priced orders.

I have 15 KMD on deposit to allow for easy transactions.

Is there a reason my orders are not going through?

Thank you!

OG coin with a dream.  Cheesy Tongue Glad to see it is still alive!

Good buy at 2-3 sats too. Can't get them in a wallet, unfortunately. Yobit is holding everyone's Tittiecoin hostage.

Any plans to resurrect this old lady? A little makeup and she could grace the stage once more...

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 29, 2017, 10:17:35 PM
Based on the last 72 hours of watching the market closely, post pump:

Bots are currently accumulating/holding at 3 million sats, after a forceful wind down from the top resistance-heavy line at around 4.6-4.7 million sats. Someone began dumping heavily enough to overpower strong upward momentum for a while, until there started to be less resistance and the price started to fall faster. The bots suppressed price to 3.7 million sat area and held it for awhile, then began another wind down.

They heavily suppress if support begins to increase price, and they prop up the price after price dips below_____ mil. They may be laddering their dump based on what support exists, or testing resistance lines before committing to another wind down push.

This kind of sell pressure just makes buyers/traders eventually sit on the sidelines and wait out the slump. I see the bots switch tactics and go in to "bait formation", where they will stack up the buy orders, but reduce sell orders, and then wait to see what kind of buy action there is (hard to see natural action when your bots are going nuts on both sides/wash trading). When they do this, there is a noticeable pause in the action, and then you can see the real pace of things. People are buying, but they are obviously nervous, due to all the heavy suppression/bot action.

What I expect to happen:

BTG is still new and has not "broken out" yet. There is a big market for a Bitcoin that can be mined by home GPU systems. That will be big in the future, for sure, as more and more small fry GPU/gaming system miners enter the market to try and get their "coinz" in the bag.

Eventually (probably sooner than we think), the larger players will have a hard time pushing things around as coins distribute more, and more money enters the crypto-sphere. It is happening fast, from what I can see on the charts. Weeeeee!

Bitcoin Gold should benefit greatly from the brand-name relation, in combination with the GPU/little guy aspect going for it. That will secure its own little niche crowd, which will grow with crypto/Bitcoin. Any hype, or side/hardware economies that develop around it will just add to that.

It is also paired with USDT, which will of course dump in to whatever markets it can be dumped in to when the Tether B.S. finally blows up in everyone's faces. That should be a fun spike.

See y'all on the moon.  Wink

Here is a summary of what was discussed during the voice chat update. VIA RICHARD @ https://safexnews.net/safex-community-voice-chat-summary-november-22nd-2017/

A summary of this weeks Safex Community Voice chat. Thanks to all those who attended. I know it was very short notice, but we managed to get quite a few in attendance.

A few points discussed:

Alpha Blockchain Development

The Alpha Blockchain is roughly 80% complete and will be due for a closed test during the month of December.

In its current state the nodes are talking to each other but in very specific environments. The next phase will factor in different hosting environments and network configurations.

Mining will be implemented once the early tests have been done.

PR Agency

Daniel had an interesting meeting with the PR Agency on the 20th. They are keen to be involved with Safex.

At this stage they are still researching the crypto market and discussing ideas with Daniel. If everything is in agreement they will kick off the PR campaign at the beginning of 2018.

It will be a rolling monthly contract and they will act behind the scenes, meaning Daniel will let them crack on with promoting Safex to traditional non-crypto audiences, but we won’t be hearing about it day to day.

New Marketing staff

Daniel mentioned that he has recently hired two new staff to work on the “Guerrilla Marketing” of Safex. Unsure exactly what role these staff will play but off-site SEO was mentioned elsewhere on the Discord channel.

It’s speculated that the two staff are members of the Safex Community. Unsure exactly who they are at this stage.

Website Redesign Launch

We had a brief discussion about the upcoming website redesign. It sounds like the only thing left to do is integrate the affiliate back-end system in with the website front-end system.

As Daniel is away for the next few days, he felt it wasn’t safe to assist Pavle on this remotely as it could cause issues. He would prefer to do it in person to avoid any potential day-zero bugs.

Safex Whitepaper

It was confirmed that the whitepaper will be launched at the same time as the website re-design and affiliate system.

The contents of the whitepaper were discussed but only at a high level.

Affiliate system

Some interesting notes about the affiliate system. The process will be semi-automated to help save time on administration.
Daniel mentioned that the previous Buy Safex system on the website was heavily inflated to deter people from buying, whilst he developed the new system

However, people still bought in which gave him confidence that the new process will be very successful.

Billionaire Asia Singapore Event

Daniel will be attending the MillionaireAsia Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Summit in Singapore on November the 29th.

At this event, Daniel will be highlighting the benefits and need for Crypto-Commerce, and its road to mass adoption.

Keynote speakers at the event includes Wall Street Investment Legend, Jim Rogers, along with a number of crypto and blockchain heavyweights.

The event will be attended by hundreds cryptocurrency investors and the media.

And that is that. Thank you Richard for the write up.

Yes that sounds about right regarding whale... but question is, when will this whale going to be pleased? 200 sat, 100 sat? 50 sat???

They cannot let the price fall below the levels they need to remain profitable. If the price falls too far below where they accumulated, it will cost them too much BTC to pump it back up to levels they can make their target profit percentage at, thus making them the biggest bagholders of all.

So the whale keeps the price supported, as well as keeping it from rising while they are still accumulating.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [OFFICIAL] [SAFEX] Safe Exchange Coin [website www.safex.io] on: August 20, 2017, 09:28:08 PM
I was considering buying back some safex, but why are those sell walls still so huge?  Need 100 bitcoins to move 100 sat.... wtf, even with Ripple there are less sell walls.

There is at least 1 whale who is currently accumulating coin. He/she appears to be keeping the price steady, and will not allow it to fall or rise too far above or below its current price point. (if the price drops too low, the whale risks losing money on what they have  already accumulated).

When there is not enough natural buy volume to overcome the whale's price-maintaining sell-offs, it is very easy for someone with enough SAFEX and BTC to do.

Example: Set up a big sell wall (or series of sell orders totaling up to a sell wall), keep it loaded with coins from a very large stash, and watch the other people who are trying to sell higher than you get tired of waiting and sell under you instead out of impatience.

When they sell, they will be selling in to the whales waiting buy orders.

Then they (the whale) reloads the buy orders and waits some more. Rinse and repeat.

Do this for a few weeks and you will have collected most of the coins dumped by weak hands. Holders will not be selling, so the sells will slow way down. When sell volume runs out, the whale knows it is time to pump the price, and get richer.

They will usually stagger their sell orders up the sell chain. Many whales get lazy and set orders at recognizable regular repeating patterns, (this can also be used to signal partners where to set sell orders) tipping a keen eye off that a pump is coming. Others try to hide it by spreading them randomly and thinly, so the price can climb much easier, and it looks more like a "whale-free, free-climb".

Some whales like to set big sell walls every so often up the chain to test buy volume. If the buy volume has trouble taking down a wall, or just cant get through it, the whale knows the climb has reached its peak, and it is time to dump in to whatever buy orders there are, down to the price point the whale is comfortable dumping to.

Also, when a whale is going to accumulate and pump, they will usually get some pump-for-sale Youtuber to partner with and pump the coin. So when you see a obvious pump-and-dump Youtuber hyping a coin, you know the accumulation phase is complete, and they are ready for the pump.

This only works if the Youtuber has a good number of followers (a few thousand at least for a good sized pump). If you see the video AS IT COMES OUT, that is actually a good signal to buy for a quick short. If you see it 10-30 minutes after it comes out, you could easily be too late, and be at risk for buying high and holding a bag or two.

And that's the problem, and why pump and dumps are generally bad for a coins reputation. The problem is, once the pump has ended and the dump begins, there are a bunch of bag holders who tried to ride the pump too late and bought high. So now there are a bunch of unhappy people who did zero research on the coin they just bought, and blindly jumped in for quick profit, who flood the boards and chatrooms with "WHAT HAPPEN TO PRIIIICE???! WHEN POLO?? WHEN WALLET??? WHEN ANYTHING MAKE PRICE BIG AGAIN?Huh THIS SCAM COIN!! THIS SHITCOIN POOP!"

You get enough of that FUD, and it can alter the price of the coin, and make it an easy target for MORE pump and dumpers.

This cycle can, and likely will, continue until something takes place to create real buy or sell volume outside of the bounds of the whales control. Usually this is either very big positive or negative news that reaches large demographics/big money players/buyers/holders. Once the FOMO takes place, all bets are off, and even the whales are riding the waves.

So in short, right now is a good time to buy, because the price will likely not go lower before it goes higher, and it *will* go higher, because it will be artificially pumped by the whale that is accumulating in the future. However, if you do buy, you will either need to set your sell orders ahead of time and hope the pump reaches it before it gets dumped, or be very, very vigilant, because the pump could come at near-any time, and it is usually over rather quickly.

Luckily, there is usually a period where the price goes down a ways after the dump, but not all the way down to where it was before the pump. If you miss the highest price point, you can still sell here for a profit. If you think the coin has long term potential, you can hope the price goes down further after you sell all or a portion of your coins, as you wait for whales to force it down to their buy point and start the whole process over again, thus giving you an opportunity to buy back in and own more coins than you did before. This is called, "following the whales" or "swimming with the big fish". You can do very well by doing this, but you can also end up holding bags you don't want to hold, if you are not very careful. Sometimes you need to cash out after a 10% gain or less, because its just too risky to keep holding (the buy volume drops dramatically). You have to be able to do that to keep your liquid money liquid.

My advice: ONLY BUY COINS THAT YOU CONSIDER GOOD LONG TERM INVESTMENTS. That way, even if you screw up and end up getting dumped on and holding coins that are now worth less than when you bought them, you can still feel confident they will EVENTUALLY be worth more than you bought them for. Saves you a lot of stress, and can actually lead you to making good long term decisions.

This is one of those coins, and the whale is currently accumulating.

How to tell what projects are good for long term investment is another topic, and there is lots of places to read or watch videos about it out there, so I won't take up any more space here.

Hope that helps the new traders trying to make sense of what they are seeing on the SAFEX market right now. GOOD LUCK!!!

The pump from wallet release is crazy.  Grin Grin Grin Usually goes the other way after wallet release.

Wallet looks NICE, though. Gives people a taste of how good CHILLE will look, and that the devs are willing to take some time to get it right before release.

I also like the video that came with the wallet release. Those kinds of videos are great confidence builders for the token holders/community.

Milan, could you put a link to it up please? I lost it in the Slack madness.

WOW! So now they don't know how long it will take to release the wallet because of bugs? Then why promise August 9?  I thought dev has already expertise in this field, this is really amateur behavior .... price will drop to 180 sat or lower in the next days...

Please don't tease us. 180 sat.....MMMMMmmmmm. Could buy so many at that price......

This dip has been great for shoppers, but 180 would be miracle-level great.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [OFFICIAL] [SAFEX] Safe Exchange Coin [website www.safex.io] on: August 17, 2017, 08:53:13 PM

I want to comment on point number 3, having mods censor stuff will get this project nowhere. We don't need mods to censor stuff, we need people that communicate with the dev team that can inform the community and argue with the dev team about the issues raised by the community.

I disagree. When people are making racist comments, directly insulting others, spreading FUD, spamming, and posting porn in the channel, its time for mods.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [OFFICIAL] [SAFEX] Safe Exchange Coin [website www.safex.io] on: August 17, 2017, 08:27:59 PM
The wallet has been downloaded and compiled by several people on Windows. They downloaded an incomplete version and began testing it. They reported that the wallet was gorgeous, had great art and graphics, and looked clean. But, as expected, the wallet had errors, as it was incomplete. It also was not compiling on OSX last I heard. So it appears there is work to be done, and they are rightfully not saying exactly how long they think it will take to finish resolving and testing. Doing so could just cause more people to get upset if they miss a pre-set deadline again.

If they are testing on all major platforms, it could take longer than they expect. That is how it is for even the most experienced dev teams when building in-house products for various platforms. Anyone in the gaming/software/etc industry knows this.

Thanks to the delay, smart folks get a chance at much lower prices, which once again spreads the money from weak/short hands to longer/stronger ones. I keep hoping for the old days prices of 200-240sat, but it looks like the support will not allow that right now.

For me, this project is still as close to a sure thing in terms of getting a large return on my initial investment as you are going to get in crypto. Look at the price. CHEAP, and has already shown legs on the slightest news.

Look at how beautiful the product (wallet design) is now. I cant wait to see what the marketplace is going to look like. People will want to use it, and when they do, I and many others will have lots and lots of SAFEX sitting in a wallet collecting our CHILLE dividends. Yay!

Patience, patience, patience is the only way to go if you want to see the money grow.

In terms of what myself and many other folks would like to see, based on repeated requests in SLACK and on the boards:

1. Receive clear information on plans for CHILLE development beyond what current roadmap says.

2. In regards to CHILLE development: Will there be any other devs/coders brought on board to work on CHILLE? Again and again, I see that people are concerned that the CHILLE marketplace could take much, much longer than anticipated, since it is a much larger project than the wallet., and that has already been delayed multiple times.

3. Designate a few additional Mods for the boards and SLACK channel. The FUD and immature asinine nonsense that the lower denominations are spewing is ruining the community vibe big time, and absolutely is having a negative effect on investor confidence levels.

4. Videos. Weekly videos of production, giving personal/ verbal updates detailing production progress. Communities LOVE these, and it brings your reputation up *a lot*. I know Daniel said the would be releasing one soon talking in regards to the wallet, which is great. The more of these there  are out there, the more likely people will invest in the project.

Those seem to be the major points of interest right now. I look forward to seeing the wallet, and hearing more about CHILLE in the future.
