1  Other / Meta / Re: Error Message: Topic Deletion and Access Restrictions on: Today at 10:54:20 AM
Simply put; off limits to you means some Calibers of people might be able to see the post but for you a regular member, you are limited to see such post.

Admins, etc can still see such post but it has been removed from a public part of the forum. I think it's a regular feature on Simple Machine Forums (SMF).

Put a board into maintenance mode, allowing only admins to login.
So if a post is off limits to you it means it's either in a such boards accessable by Admins only, especially Recycle bin

Here is my report for today:
100k,Churchillvv,135,13200,2024-06-22

Zackz5000 , Tmoonz , Cityhunter34 , sotelorene, y'all I see the effort you port in pointing out the error in Uhwuchukwu53 records, it's well appreciated.

Perhaps mistakes are for humans and we can stop seeing this kind of mistakes because not everyone is in a good state of mind as you, so we can't keep holding to ones mistakes. and I put it you Uhwuchukwu53 that from now you should be more observant and proof-read your texts before publishing, at least twice and this mistake wouldn't repeat.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What ruined your chances of investing in Bitcoin earlier? on: June 22, 2024, 12:19:46 AM
For me, No regrets.

I believe everything has time, back when I heard of it, that wasn't my time to invest. Now I have a little stash it's my time.

Truth is everyone here appreciates the opportunity to be here and we all do our best to buy more bitcoin especially those of us who didn't buy earlier.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: June 21, 2024, 11:50:13 PM
Another Saturday, I did my regular 110 Push ups which I have been following for weeks now but I'm not certain if I would continue with that as my upper body is beginning to see much changes than expected, so I would focus more of balancing the body than the regular push ups. The challenge is to get more fit while bitcoin advance to 100kish price so I would work more on the whole body than the upper body only.

Let's keep it coming mates, I'm 134 days in today, it's a good one for me. Everyone here deserves some accolades.

✂️

Don't "improvements" like these seem just a little bit antiquated and, dare I say it, perhaps not a good use of Theymos's time as far as forum development?  I can only speak for myself here, but I'm not impressed by the change (which I don't think there was a public request for, though I might be wrong) and there have been so many other good suggestions made by members over the past few years that Theymos has flat-out ignored.

I might be cranky and pessimistic, but this is clearly a case of fixing something that wasn't broken.  There are a lot of things on our fine forum that are broken, Big Boss.  Why not turn your attention to those things?
Perhaps I understand where you're coming from, We've got lots of thinks that has been massively requested yet not solved but he implemented a feature which you don't find convincing, I grasp all this but don't be too antagonistic about this feature, his major reason was to increase the privacy feature of the forum. Based on time stamp of activities it seems ones ways are not longer private as much as need, so he went ahead to implement it afterall most of us are privacy oriented people including me.

For the record, he didn't code everything himself, PowerGlove did, so he just copied the code and implemented it. No much work, maybe if you remind of all those ignored suggestions he could have a rethink, what do you think  Huh

I'm not too happy that I'm not following up this thread as I thought I would. For some days now I haven't been able to give my report for the current push ups, although I have been going with my 110 Push ups as always.

Here is my report:
100k,Churchillvv,133,12980,2024-06-20

Are you going to post before/after photos after challenge is finished ? Cheesy
Posting after and before pictures is allowed in this push-up challenge. And since you joined this push-up challenge recently, you can post your after picture now if you want to.
It's optional. Since it's not really ironed out or stated the OP, I guess one can chose whether to post or not to post before and after photos.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: What to do when there is a continues DIP on: June 20, 2024, 10:09:59 PM
Basically it's only a newbie in the market that will not have the confidence that bitcoin will increase or raise later.

I know that as long as we still have people that can ask this question, there are people who still think that way. Now, if any investors wants to go into any kind of venture, he or she must have looked at the past history or from the history of such venture must be the catalyst to their interest in such investment. So whatever becomes the market the should be ready to take the risk.

For me there is no advise that is more than this: if you can't take the risk of holding even when the market dips more then sell and exit the lost you think you are acquiring. but if you can handle the dips, and you have more cash flow or reserve funds that you can use to buy more, then buy more because the dips are more of a discount than losses that some people see it for.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am begining on a short term investment. on: June 19, 2024, 11:53:23 PM
We only have risk in the market and some risk are higher than others, we do prefer to take a risk that losses are lowered and profit are maximised. So if you prefer to go for the higher risk, it all depends on you and your level of risk tolerance. BTW the higher the risk the higher you are likely to get more rewards?.
For Bitcoin, this statement is not entirely correct whereas for gambling it is very correct. If you have been in the business of Bitcoin for a while now, you will notice that the highest risk are taken by short term investors and often they end up losing money on the process. On the other hand long term investors take less risk and mostly make more profits from their investment. I believe you will agree with me on this because the records are there as well as the wailing of short term investors that lost large sums of money within a short period of time. So for Bitcoin, it will be right to say that the lower the risk, the high the reward.
I'm so sorry but I believe you are absolutely contracting yourself!

I can't find a real meaning in what you have said. maybe you can be more clear
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legendary act! First Bitcoin Class in history. on: June 19, 2024, 04:42:08 PM
I have never heard of this story before! wow  Shocked This is really a legendary act for sure.

During this times around 2012, I was in my Grade school too, I guess opportunity wasn't on my side then and geographical location was a barrier.

Wait was I in support of letting kids be kids instead of bothering them with bitcoin knowledge? Damnnnn! ignorance was kicking alot of us hard.
I guess I changed my mind from now. This is really mind blowing.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am begining on a short term investment. on: June 19, 2024, 01:50:55 PM
Well, nobody said short term investors are on the wrong side.

We only have risk in the market and some risk are higher than others, we do prefer to take a risk that losses are lowered and profit are maximised. So if you prefer to go for the higher risk, it all depends on you and your level of risk tolerance. BTW the higher the risk the higher you are likely to get more rewards?.

So the market is an open place, you are not limited to others opinion.
12  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Does P2P BTC Exchange Work Here? on: June 19, 2024, 05:45:58 AM
If it does, how is it done? If it doesn't, why not. I have some BTC to exchange for NGN. Can I be guided?
Perhaps I know you're a writer but do you also want to write about Nigeria in your articles from the information you will be gathering here?

You can search about Nigeria and it's P2P market on the internet, GIYF.
13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin will exacerbate wealth inequality on: June 19, 2024, 12:11:48 AM
I know where you're coming from but you must know that there is no equality anywhere. The class difference still exist on almost everything in life.

Bitcoin is not in any way or from it's white-paper pointing out that it will create wealth equality, maybe I skipped that part. Those who have beat the average level and are now in the highest class of the hierarchy will always with the capacity make the most out of everything so it's our responsibility to make it out too for us to maximise everything.

Additionally, there will exist no world where bitcoin only will be the currency, so why stressing yourself with all this? bitcoin works Vice Viz with fiat and it has no intention of being the only currency. so the imaginary world wouldn't exist, wealth distribution will always remain the same, 70% - 80% will be in the hands of the rich will the remaining will stay with the average man.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake did it again! Another huge losing bet... on: June 18, 2024, 08:18:26 PM
Drake has lost way more bets than what I saw in the OP. Someone should do an analysis of all his bets and see what you’d have if you started with $1 and let your winnings ride on the opposite of whatever he bets. Seems like you’d be up quite a bit in the last couple years alone. I can’t remember the last time I saw Drake win a bet.
Remember that media doesn't show all things! Whatever will bring people to talking that's what they put out the most.

I have searched in Google and I saw that he has made over $40 - $50 million in his gambling life, that got me convinced he must have been winning but we do not hear about his wins but keep discussing his losses.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: June 16, 2024, 11:09:22 PM
Speaking of the table, anyone have any new column ideas?  I'm looking to shake things up just a bit.

>edit<

I'm also having difficulties trying to figure out what the column would look like but i couldn't find a perfect one but I will try with the following if you might find one interesting.
Code:
S/N | Username (Alphabetical order) | Daily Push ups | Days in | Expected target | Latest Report | PU/day | Total Push ups | percentage % of total | Days till next digit |

Or you can also maintain the old columns but add the following, S/N, Usernames Alphabetically, While you maintain the rest you can put the total push ups to the of the columns while "daily" push ups be in place of total pushups.

For the names that might start with numbers you can put them either in the beginning of at the end of alphabetical orders.
S/N.  Is that a Serial Number?  Or is that Starts with Number S/N?
Yeah! it's a Serial Number. I suggested the serial number to make it more easier for anyone to see the number of participants on the script.

What do you mean by Expected target?
For the challenge our expected targets is 100 push ups daily, and 100k BTC price. the expected target is on the report format but not on the script so I suggested we add it. maybe in this format | 100 - 100k | , if it's not ideal you can discard or reframe it in a way it can go with the table.

I'm working on the Latest Report column, but still fiddling around.
I'm also thinking of it but my problem is I don't really understand what it stands for?!

I'm still maintaining my 110 Push ups every day it's amazing reaching this numbers of push ups with the community, y'all are my inspiration to a new body build.
100k,Churchillvv,129,12540,2024-06-16

Why on earth would someone use their alts on this thread to inflate the push-up count? I don’t know if that is hilarious or sad. I guess maybe it’s a post count thing or trying to get merited? In any event, it is mostly just a waste of their time. They should focus on doing more push-ups instead and get something out of their time.
Sad  Angry

One thing is certain abusers will always remain abusers.
16  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Seed phrase and probability on: June 16, 2024, 04:21:24 PM
Hi my question is the following: I created a script on pycharm with a bitcoin seed sentence generator, it generates valid seed sentences with private key but with a zero balance, for educational purposes then I come across an active wallet by chance?
Your question is not very clear but if you're talking about the probability of finding a wallet with balance or someone else wallet is 1% out of 100 percent which is more like impossible.

Just like taking an atom amongst all the atoms in the universe, then throw it back the mix with all other atoms. how possible can you find it. You can imagine!

You can also visit here to learn more about probability[1]

17  Economy / Services / Re: 👉 {STOP} Eloncoin Signature Campaign | Member+ [Funds Escrow] on: June 16, 2024, 02:12:09 PM
What this means is that payment for the week is only guaranteed if the escrow wallet gets refilled, you're not entitled to receive payment if the wallet doesn't get refilled as the campaign is paused currently and the campaign will get stopped if the weeks goes by without a refilled but whenever the wallet gets refilled, this week payment will be accounted for.

Update: This campaign has now stopped since no response has been received from Lightlord. You can now remove your signature and avatar and if the wallet gets refilled in the near future, the campaign will restart. Thank you all for the awesome weeks promoting this project.

Regards.
Working with you has been a wonderful experience, I appreciate your kindness and sincerity.

You're the first manager and only I have worked with since I signed up here and it's been a great time, nice working with you, hoping we work together in subsequent times.
18  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: This is real wickedness by our government. on: June 16, 2024, 10:13:28 AM
Are there still surprised people in this country? we are in an absolutely mess! I'm not in any way surprised to see whatever the government is doing right now, we only have some Calibers of people who wants their own personal riches in government and how do we expect the government to be better.

With this you I believe you all know here our problems are coming from, if only a senator would be earning thing in a month, how then do we expect them to say something about the economy when they are already benefiting from it.

Our poison is their enjoyment so it seems balance in their eyes until it turns other wise then they will begin to find the way through for the country.
19  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: The Impact of Bitcoin to Nigeria Economy on: June 16, 2024, 10:04:21 AM
well bitcoin has so many positives impacts in life of many Nigerians, not just bitcoin but cryptocurrency at large has help alot of people generate the said capitals for a good business in the environment but from and obvious look and how our government has been recently turn antii cryptocurrencies with the regulations and how they follow up the crypto space but that not to avail bitcoin is really a good initiative in n the world at large but regardless I don't idolise bitcoin, with out it people would have still been doing well.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one of those did you partake in? on: June 16, 2024, 09:51:38 AM
I am beginning to think that the only time a gambler gambles for fun is only when he gambles with what he can afford to lose. In this case, a gambler has $10,000 as his savings, and he gambles with $1000 down, he or she won't feel sad when they lose it (it means they gambled for fun). But if a gambler who has the same $10,000 gambles for above $5,000, and he loses all of them, the gambler won't be happy about his actions, and it might result in chasing of losses (which means he didn't gamble for fun). It means that both those that say they aren't gambling for fun sometimes gamble for fun, mostly when they risk an amount they can afford to lose. The actual time you gamble for fun is when you risk what you can afford to lose and not when you say you want to gamble for fun. However, a gambler might say he will gamble for fun and still end up not gambling for fun when he starts gambling. One can know a responsible gambler if he starts gambling.
Well I'm very much confused what is going one, the question is not clear enough but from what I understand generally is how to we determines a responsible gambler when they are betting already! for me once some knows how control his or her emotions then he or she is a responsible gambler.

while from you topic title I can say I'm a responsible gambler.
