1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of your first contact with BTC? on: June 02, 2021, 11:34:26 AM
The way they are being transfer is the same, but the network they are using is different. Bitcoin uses Blockchain which is better than those e-payment like paypal, or whatever e-wallets you use in your country. Bitcoin has its advantage and unique characteristics and my favorite it its volatility that means profit in the long run, unlike fiat that's giving you nothing but inflation.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Year 2021-2022 will be very Good and very Bad. on: May 19, 2021, 02:15:33 PM
No one knows what will be going to happen this year or even for the following years. It's always uncertain. We can smart-guess, but there's no guarantee that it will come true. I think you just have to pick your side whether you want good things or bad things to happen to you. We make our own path and we pick our final destination. It's always up to us to decide what we want for ourselves.

Although there are times that things don't always go as how we wanted and how we have already planned, we just need to be flexible and strategic enough to bounce back if ever unforeseen scenarios arrived during our journey. So, I think it really depends on you if the years 2021 and 2022 will be good or bad. You are your own compass.

4  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do in 2030? on: May 17, 2021, 03:42:59 PM
Looks like many economies around the world are going to be suffering major downfalls around 2030. The demographic pyramid is completely fucked up in many countries, with locals not having kids because basically millennial cannot afford to live on their own due low wages and high cost of living. In Europe it's all over the place. What grinds my gears is economists saying immigration is the solution and they will pay our retirement funds. This is insanity.

Anyway, do you have a portfolio that makes you comfortable about the future? we are definitely on our own so be sure to have some passive source of income for the future. Hopefully Bitcoin saves our ass and by 2030 we don't have to worry about money anymore.

As of the moment, I don't have a portfolio yet that I can be confident about for the future. But I'm looking into it and really considering building and having more than one investment. Right now, I'm not yet financially stable. I still don't have the means to provide on my own. Though I am pretty much sure that sooner or later, I can also figure out what's best for me. Taking baby steps, one at a time.

I'm considering using my passion to generate a source of income aside from cryptocurrency. In that way, I can save a little, then I can fund my chosen investment vehicles.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: people stop complain about economy and ccovid on: May 15, 2021, 10:55:42 AM
i cant see this , we all knew that one day the music will stop !
we all knew that now it is we all knew that the economy crash was coming anyways with covid or without covid.
stop thinking like if you are normal hard working person your life is secure its not like this !!
best security is your own knowledge and information.

It's so insensitive of you to command the people to stop complaining about what's happening right now. To remind you, we came from different backgrounds. We are facing different situations and we have our own struggles. You can't just tell them to stop voicing out their opinions especially if they are really affected by the economic crash and pandemic.

No questions asked, the knowledge, information, and skills you have will surely lead you to somewhere good. But let's not invalidate the fight of those who are really having a hard time during this crisis. Let them state their frustrations and let's help them to get by. A little kindness and compassion will go a long way. Having a heart that cares for other's welfare won't cost you much.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: China to overtake the Us as the largest global economy by 2028? on: May 11, 2021, 02:43:14 PM
I think it won't happen anytime soon. Although I'm not closing the possibilities.

China has been far ahead in terms of combatting the pandemic crisis. I applaud their pacing in addressing the needs of their citizens despite having a breakout early last year in one of their cities. China's economy has slowly recovered compared to the neighboring countries that are still stuck from lockdowns and quarantine protocols. Which I think have a nice impact to their economy because the residents can freely move and the businesses are fully operational.

However, let's also put into consideration that the vaccines are on roll already. Soon enough, majority of the countries will achieve herd immuty through the help of vaccinations. This will help most countries recover, particularly the US. Let's not forget that US is still the leading country in the world despite the pandemic crisis. So, I think, China will still have a hard time competing to get the top spot and replace US as having the largest global economy by 2028.

But then again, who knows? Only time can tell.

7  Economy / Economics / Re: Will China take over the world with the Digital Yuan? on: May 08, 2021, 03:24:22 PM
It's too early to assume that. They may be the first country that has launched a digital currency of their own, but that doesn't automatically mean that they will and can take over the world just by doing that. US is still ahead of China according to statistics. Although I commend them for handling the pandemic better than other countries. Still, we can't just declare that they can overthrow the leading country and reserved currency in an instant.

8  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: May 08, 2021, 01:26:17 PM
How would you define what is to be "rich"? Is it about having enough for living or is there something else that you would be looking to accomplish to be rich?
Is it 1 million USD? Is it 1000 bitcoin? what are your thoughts?

The definition of rich depends on someone you will ask. Simply because we have different perspectives in life and we value things depending on how badly we need them. For some, being rich is being able to acquire all the luxurious things that they want. Usually, the first things that will come up on their minds will be having a mansion, a lot of money, owning a nice car, can afford to travel the world, etc. Well, I can't blame them. These things are what they commonly see on social media, tv shows, and magazines. Hence, a lot of people are dreaming to have one.

However, I consider someone being rich when he/she has successfully achieved his/her goal in life while living contently and genuinely happy. You see, most people have the tendency to focus on the material side. Although I get it, since we need those in order to survive as well as to satisfy ourselves. Always remember that those things will eventually fade away. The things your money can buy can be stolen and even break. Money can be earned. You can always buy another luxury car, bag, or even house if you want because you can afford it. But the contentment and genuine happiness because you have the people around you, loving and supporting you is a whole, new level of satisfaction.

As I grow older, I learned that as soon as people have accomplished and acquired what they want, they keep on wanting more. They keep on craving for something that they tend to worry and starts working their ass off just to get that specific thing. In result, they weren't able to enjoy the moment. They weren't able to savor the present because they are busy wanting more than what they will need in the future.

I always remind myself that I can't buy time, that's why I'm always living the moment. I'm doing my best to achieve my aspirations in life while enjoying the today I'm always looking forward to, yesterday.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: US economy is booming, but people are not seeing it. on: May 07, 2021, 07:09:05 AM
US economy is booming? Think again and do your research. US has been printing excessive money to sustain its economy. The uncontrolled number of covid-19 cases each day was still reported. Let's say, the economy is really growing by now, however, because of the difficult circumstances that people are facing, they won't be able to feel the economy is spiking.

Personally, as an average citizen myself, I seldom feel the "growth" of the economy of our country. Simply because it wasn't reflected in the community, prices of goods and services, salary given, and even in healthcare services. Normally, the upper class feels most of the positive effects of economic growth. The working class can hardly tell the difference between the usual and booming of the economy. On the other hand, it's the working class that is very much affected when the economy of a country starts to decline.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID advanced the world into the future on: May 07, 2021, 05:35:37 AM
Covid-19 has brought a lot of challenges to everyone. Be it lower, middle, and upper bracket of the society, these people have been forced to face difficult circumstances in order to survive. Despite the negative impact of covid, we can't disregard the fact that it somehow pushed us to adapt from rapid changes, to be innovative, and to transition from the modern age gradually.

Digital transactions have been a thing ever since the pandemic started. It bloomed because of strict regulations imposed by the government. People have high demand for transactions that involve delivery services to avoid the hassle and risk of contacting the virus. Looking at the positive side, it helped the countries to keep up with fast-paced technology and innovation. The science field was challenged to produce a vaccine that is safe and effective in the shortest time possible. The industry decided to adapt by allowing remote and flexible working. The meetings, seminars, and classes are now all online. These are the things that covid forced people to discover and try new things that weren't considered pre-pandemic time.

Now that there are already vaccines rolling out on the market, I hope things will come back to normal where we can freely move. Things aforementioned were great, but it still has repercussions especially to the sectors that are not suitable for this kind of setup.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Africa needs to fix continent, richest people are politicians on: May 06, 2021, 04:37:07 AM
Forget Dangote and the rest of the billionaires, the richest people in Africa are politicians. Africans need to reevaluate and rethink their system, so much power is given to the politicians and without any checks or balances. How can an ex-governor not be tried in court for his mischievous activities because there is a written document that said so who signed the documents is it the populace? They loot millions of dollars and stack them up for their families whereas the masses are suffering.
They even go as far as banning the trading of cryptocurrencies because they feel people might benefit from it. When the world is enjoying it. African needs to be taken to the hospital and given proper treatment because they are moving backward. More strength to their youth as many are still thriving in the harsh environment.

Africa belongs to the top 10 poorest countries in the world. It saddens me that they are part of the list because as far as I've read, Africa is rich in natural resources. So how come that many people from their country are suffering from poverty?

One answer I can think of is that the government in their country does not know how to handle their resources. Their government must prioritize their citizens because that's what they oathed during the day they were officially elected and appointed in their positions. Unfortunately, most politicians are greedy. Instead of prioritizing the welfare of their constituents, they put their self-interest at the top.

According to statistics, more than a quarter of the hungry population resides in Africa. Most people living there are classified as malnourished because they lack a nutritional food supply and even potable drinking water. Meanwhile, the politicians are savoring their wealthy lifestyle while all else falls apart onto the poor. I just hope people will be wiser next time to not repeat the mistake of electing greedy and corrupt politicians that make their life more difficult.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: “You don’t spend money now, you can’t spend after you died” on: May 06, 2021, 02:35:30 AM

It’s the best financial advice, covid is the marketing keyword to remind you, if you don’t spend every last penny in the wallet, you can never have a chance to spend that again. Spend until you drop your plebs!

You're just trolling, right? Because if not, this is the worst financial advice I've ever read.

If you're single and don't have any other plans this still isn't applicable, since we need to survive daily. If you're too scared that tomorrow will never come, what's the point of existing at the moment in the first place? Everyone has their own timetable in life. If others came sooner than expected, it doesn't mean yours would too. It's a 50/50 scenario since nobody is certain that he'll still wake up the other day, but you aren't still sure that tomorrow will never occur.

So I suggest living your life, while also being responsible. You can enjoy your life without sacrificing your future. Save and invest, if not for you, do it for your loved ones that you'll leave behind once your time comes. You can pass your wealth onto your family line that will help them to start from something if ever for example they wanted to put up a business. That way, it'll be easier for them to establish what they want.

This mindset is scary because it screams selfishness. I hope you realize that. Spend wisely and don't be so impulsive. Time is short, you can still make the most out of today without putting your next days at risk because of a one-day millionaire mindset.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: April 2021 set a new record India. How much effect in Indian economy? on: May 06, 2021, 01:16:09 AM
The pandemic situation in Inda has been worsening each day. They're having a very hard time controlling the spread of the virus, hence the increased rate of covid-19 cases in their country. Based on the news and articles I've read online, the fatality rate are also going up each day. The deaths keep going higher as time passes by and its absolute and official record isn't up to date due to continuous spike of deaths.

The oxygen supplies in India is also a big problem. They lack oxygen tanks that are needed by the covid-19 patients. A lot of donation drive have been circulating online to help India. They are very desperate for help that some people's only option was to buy oxygen supplies illegally such in black markets. The mass cremation was also done because the crematoriums can't accommodate so much. They mass cremate the bodies on a vast vacant lot using fires.

This crisis will definitely take a toll on the economy of India. The business will have a hard time to recover given their current situation there now. Because of their situation, the working class will have limited movement due to safety precautions. Slow and weak industry operations will soon lead to economic decline if they won't be able to address and response accordingly.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid virus 2021 on: May 03, 2021, 09:24:22 AM
March 2020 when covid virus spread in our country that caused a couple of months of a total lockdown. Many people lost their job and others are now investing in crypto and joining some campaign just to earn money and continue living. Last month of March this year 2021, finally, there are already a vaccine and many Frontliner's are now vaccinated.
But why this time the number of Covid positive in our Country are increasing with new variant of Covid Virus? It seems that this pandemic has no end...There is also another lockdown. It's so sad and difficult!
What will happen to us and to our economy?
Do you think this virus will not stop?
What about in your Country?

I think now, much better to stay at home and focus on crypto rather than trying to find another job which is very impossible at this moment.

It is tiring and worrisome at the same time during this pandemic crisis. For a year, it seems like there's no progress here in our country. There's a high increase in unemployment rate and a lot are still contacting the virus despite the consecutive lockdowns and quarantines imposed by the government.

In our country, we're under MECQ again. Majority have coped up already. Some people already entered the business industry, some invested on stocks, bitcoin, and real estates. People have found a way to survive and provide for their daily needs. However, it isn't always the case. Some people are still left behind and are still suffering from poverty.

Frontliners are already tired of the repetitive pattern which didn't worked the first time it was imposed. I think by proper addressing the pandemic, this crisis will be gone. We just need a proactive leader that has a strategic planning in order to succeed the fight against the virus. The battle should be lead by the medical professionals and not politicians since in the first place, it is a battle of science.

If this pandemic will continue over the next years, we'll be doomed. The economy of each country will slowly collapse depending on their tolerance of course. I think we can adapt, but with reservations because immunity isn't guaranteed to everyone.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Agriculture on: May 03, 2021, 07:25:54 AM
Bitcoin is a peer to peer electronics cash system while Agriculture is the production of crops and rearing of animals for man's use. I am a farm who is into subsistence and plantation farming in my country, but i find it difficult to use bitcoin to improve my farm the way others business men use bitcoin to improve their investment.how can i use bitcoin to improve my plantation farm? Does it mean farmers cannot use bitcoin to improve their peasant or plantation farm?
Kindly share your idea to help someone.

Your title is misleading, I guess it should be Bitcoin's use in Agriculture industry.  You should remove the word "vs" since it sounds like you're pitting a completely two different things - which looks absurd to me.

To answer your question, you should first have enough knowledge about bitcoin and how it works. It won't be an overnight process, but it would be worth it if you'll dive deep into understanding its nature. After gathering enough knowledge and information about btc, you can share it to your farmers and business partners. Educate them about it and slowly, invest on bitcoin. Set up a limit depending on your risk appetite. Maybe after that, you can also consider accepting bitcoin as payment in exchange for your raw goods.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: The Modern Mode of Payments on: May 03, 2021, 07:09:04 AM
Covid-19 has brought a lot of struggles and challenges in our lives. Majority of the countries were unprepared because of the unforeseen weight of the pandemic. Which caused a great shock during the start of the lockdowns and quarantines all over the world.

For safety precautions, the outdoor activities were limited. Most countries imposed travel ban and local lockdowns hence, people were forced to explore alternative ways and options to sustain their way of living. During the pandemic, the e-commerce bloomed. Online shopping and food delivery are usually common. Because of the risk that comes with paying traditionally (using fiat), people opt to use online mode of payment such as thru E-wallets, digital banks, and the likes.

Here in our country, e-wallets are commonly used, to name a few: Gcash, paymaya, grabpay, and paypal. Personally, it helped me a lot during the most borings days of lockdown. It helped me purchase the things that I really need and want without risking my health and my family's as well. Digital banks also helped me navigate my savings and also to purchase online.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Strong kyc reason on: April 22, 2021, 05:11:05 AM
KYC means Know Your Customer. Banks have been doing this since their establishment to follow the regulations set by the government. KYC is essential most especially to the central banks because they want to avoid money laundering on their platform. This method gives the organization a series of information about the client to verify their identity such as personal information and source of money.

For some, most probably to the bitcoin community that is used to anonymity, it's such a hassle and it sorts of puts the identification of the users at risk if ever hacking happens. However, it is important to the banks and they are doing this for a purpose. KYC demands transparency to the clients, by obliging them to fill out the forms, it alleviates the risks on legal matters such as tax discrepancies, loans, etc. KYC also is a strong proof of a client's credibility. In addition, by undergoing such a process, there is no other person apart from you that can access your account. Unless of course you've given your personal information or security access to other people and/or you've been baited by a phishing link.

It's just a matter of preference. If you don't want a platform requiring a KYC, then simply don't subscribe or use it. We have different risk appetites. Do what suits you best.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Flexible Work Schedule on: April 04, 2021, 04:57:55 AM
Flexible working schedule is a bit tricky. It has its pros and cons in working industry. Flexible working schedule isn't suitable for everyone. Not every work can be adjusted to have a flexible working schedule like those industries such as manufacturing, tourism, and the likes. The industries that most benefit from this are the e-commerce side, freelancers, and the office-based works.

With flexible working schedule, majority almost always assume that the workers have more free time since they're at home and can do their task on their own preferred time. However, it isn't always the case. As a matter of fact, the contrary often happens. The workers can't distinguish what is the exact time allotted for work, since it is said to be flexible. Some can't figure out where to draw the boundary line, hence, their work eats up a larger portion of their personal time.

One best example would be the instructors, now that we have a blended learning program to bridge the gap from being quarantined while learning. Here in our country, these instructors are exerting much effort for the students' welfare. Some are extending their working hours until past midnight just to finish the modules and other learning materials.

It may be an advantage to some, but is also a nightmare for some. I think it really depends on what field and situation you belong to.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Newbie gambling sites on: February 17, 2021, 01:35:51 PM
I've joined plenty of signature campaigns that promote gambling platforms. I tried all of them since I'm curious how good their platform is. All of them are user friendly and I doubt that you can't handle those because it was made for any gambling users even if you aren't a techy person. I'll recommend the signature that I'm wearing right now, not because I'm a participant of their platform, you can check my recent posts and already bet plenty of btc on their site, very easy to use and there's also a market bet for politics. I also recommend other such as freebitco.in and roobet, made some review about them because they have a lot of minigames to play.

I'll second this. Again, I'm wearing the Futuur signature, but again, you can check my posts and see that I've already been betting a lot on the bitcoin markets. It really is an excellent site - and I'm not being paid to say that! It's early days and some of the markets are quite thin, but it offers a lot more than traditional sports betting, with markets across business, science, entertainment and politics - as well as the facility to suggest your own betting market. And if you're unsure about putting bitcoin on the line, there's also play money markets so you can test the site out.

I concur. Gambling sites that has signature campaign here in this forum provides a decent gambling platform, they won't promote it and have a signature campaign if they are not confident about their gambling site platform. Besides, checking out gambling sites that has signature campaigns gives you an assurance you need that you're safe and your funds as well while you are playing, no need to google it, just look at the Services thread and you could see a lot of what you're looking for.

Always gamble responsibly.
