1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hello on: June 07, 2024, 06:40:57 PM

Hi everyone,
I am curious to know if there any possibility for any other crypto coin to replicate the feat of Bitcoin or even surpass it in the near future.

It is possible but the chance of it happening now is difficult because of greediness on the part of developers and VC's. People forget to consider a lot of factors work in favour of Bitcoin, the economy downturn in the world then, Satoshi not dumping his coin being one of the richest Man in the world currently, the way it was distributed and mined, the libertinarian spirit in people then all these contrast what we have now. Greed is the only thing that is preventing us from having another coin as successful as Bitcoin.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FANTOM and its future. ($FTM) on: June 07, 2024, 06:31:38 PM
I have recently come across some articles related to FTM and how the team are going to transform it in to a new blockchain with an upgrade called "Sonic"

"Fantom (FTM), a layer-1 blockchain designed to challenge Ethereum’s dominance. He highlighted the upcoming Sonic upgrade, which will transform Fantom into a new blockchain, replacing the original. This rebrand, accompanied by technical enhancements, could drive significant interest and investment in Fantom. Davis praised Sonic’s impressive transaction speed of 2,000 transactions per second and sub-second finality, noting that these features position Fantom as a strong contender in the blockchain space."

There was a funding round which raised $10 Million USD on 23rd of May 2024 as well. Which makes me think that the idea of developing this project in to a top contender is a serious one.

I'd like to know your opinion about this project and if it has any potential with so called sonic upgrade.

Fantom seems to be bearing its name, the team has faailed to deliver substancee to justify its market share over the years, the ecosystem is dieing because of lack of adoption, recently the team starts making noise again which I believe is just another way for them to have another pay day before the end of this bull run, my advice is just to trade it and not believe this is going to change the world
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Possible Mining with unMinables on: June 07, 2024, 06:26:47 PM
I was trying to mine Solana on unMinables, but using my Radeon 580 GPU it would be about 5 to 10 years before I see a payout.

Is there another coin at present I might try with a more realistic payout time period?

Sandy

I believe Solana is a POS tokens, if you are not a validator or staker I don't know how you can mine the tokens. I believe this is the mistakes some of the newbies to the space make, mining is not for small guys again, I will advicee you to start building your portfolio, buy projects around $10 million Marketcaap that you believe, most of them will pump to $50 or $100 million aand flip to a better project, this is how to start and grow your money instead of waiting for years also most of these oline mining websites are scams. I lost Bitcoin into Hashocean before
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tap Swap and other new projects trending on: June 07, 2024, 06:09:35 PM
A lot of people are hoping Tapswap becomes their own Notcoin, but something to me is not right about the project, they startd out has the Notcoin of Solana decided to dish Solana and have not yet decided the chain on which it is going to launch, they have being havng technical issues and need to scale their server because of increase in theit user base. I wish them well but anything less than $100 million makret cap during launch will kill the project
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: a true defi based crypto payment gateway on: June 07, 2024, 05:55:06 PM
Hey everyone! I just came across a new project that I thought I'd share with someone. It's being touted as a "true DeFi-based cryptocurrency payment gateway". Huh Roll Eyes
The project promises to revolutionize how we handle crypto transactions by providing a fully decentralized payment solution. This could be a game-changer for both merchants and consumers looking for a more secure and efficient way to transact using cryptocurrencies. Huh
I'm really curious about what anybody thinks about this. Do you believe this project can deliver on its promises? How do you usually test or verify if a DeFi project is truly decentralized and effective?
Also, are there any other projects or competitors out there with a similar concept? I'd love to hear your thoughts and any comparisons you might have.

You find a project and you can't even share the name or link to the websites and social media site. This is just a payment network from what you describe and I doubt this is going to change anything, most of the payment network in the space can't stand alone they still rely  on the traditional big names like Mastercard and Visa for their operations to be robust. I will you well but I doubt this is for me
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Since nakamoto is born - I understand that every shitcoin = altcoin = eth ??? on: June 07, 2024, 05:50:54 PM
Half of this forum will be offended.

But why eth sill doesn't have a separate category. I understand that every shitcoin = altcoin = eth
This is a Bitcoin forum, even from the name you should understand this, Bitcointalk mod was generous to allow other Altcoins here, Ethereum too has its own forum can you go there and open thread for Solana or BNB on the forum, I believe the answr is no. Altcoins sections carter for all these tokens where the top or shit coin  which I believe is good for fairness to every other projects
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are L3s worth it? on: June 05, 2024, 03:55:13 PM
I've read of this new term called "Layer-3" or L3 for short. It's basicially a network built on top of a Layer-2 network which also relies on a Layer-1 network for security. If L2s are supposedly enough for scaling, why bother making networks on top of them? It doesn't make any sense. Unless L2s have the same limitations as L1s and developers need to create L3 networks to keep fees low and speeds fast.

Do you think L3 networks are necessary? If not, why? Do you think they're overhyped? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.  Smiley

There maybe a reason why developers need L3 but I am sure the hype will die before it begins. Just look at all these L2, people are not really warming to them, it as if they was to fragment Ethereum network into different ecosystem, If L2 don't get real adoption why do you think L3 will. I don't see them as investment proposition for now to build thesis around them
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Realistic expectations this bull run? on: June 05, 2024, 03:51:53 PM
Hi,

This is my first bull run and just wondering if the below expectations are likely for the current top 6 altcoins I am holding during the bull run peak later this year/ early next year?

I feel they are pretty fair predictions , i have heard many say they can all go higher but I will be happy with the below.

I have not experienced peak bull run euphoria before but I know it can go crazy but I also want to play it safe and guarantee profits so won't be greedy.

I just want to get an understanding and have realistic expectations.

Arcblock - $12 (my average price is $0.11)
Cronos - $0.90 (my average price is $0.08)
Quant - $900 (my average price is $101)
ICP - $90 (my average price is $5.69)
Jasmy - $0.25 (my average price is $0.01)
Hbar - $0.90 (my average price is $0.07)

You must be a dreamer, most of these projects on your list are Top coins with huge marketcap aldready, where do you think demand for these project will come from adn which money is going to use to pump them, it is very easy to pump a tokens that is $10 million to $500 million than to pump a token that is $100 million market cap to $1 billion. This is the reason why all these Memes are doing really well
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The main problem with ETH... on: June 05, 2024, 03:48:44 PM
I fear for Ethereum because other competitors are indeed catching up to, the success of Solana and Basechain is a testimony to this, I don't like to talk the technical side because with real commitment fromt the team it can be resolved. Today BNB hit ATH after all the FUD and negativity it suffers due to SEC attack on the exchange but Ethereum continue to lag behind with the ETF news.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins have you blacklisted? on: June 05, 2024, 03:42:26 PM
Any tokens where I sense the developers are greedy, I won't touch them, low float is another project I do distant myself from, most of these 2016 to 2018 project had entered my Blacklist already because if you have all these years to develop your platform and till now no one is using it, I doubt there is hope for such project except it is a Memes
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are advantageous to invest in now on: June 05, 2024, 03:36:35 PM
There are so many different types of coins nowadays, but I don't even know how I should choose anymore. Do you guys have any good advice?

The surebet for me are the exchange tokens and I'm not surprised by their performance, if not for the attack from SEC on Binance, BNB would have been over $1000 by now, the reason I prefer exchange tokens is that they generate huge retrns during Bull market and becausepeople wants to use them to pay fees, participate in Launchpads, pay transaction fees for discount etc there will be continue demand for them
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the meme coin market cap spike a foreshadowing of bigger things to come? on: June 03, 2024, 05:44:39 PM
Investing in Memes has been a good success story of this cycle, it is a good and bad thing, reason being that the VC's rigged the game against retail and retail find a way to fuck them, the bad thing here is that they are useless tokens and add no value to the space, most of these Memes will disappear in the Bear market and a lot of people will be distroyed financially because they are been lied to that it is going to $1 which is not
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pepe in a Memes World on: June 03, 2024, 05:41:10 PM
Pepe is a name Synonymous with Memes, I have been seen their success since the Counterparty network days, the OG L2 network on Bitcoin, just how time travel. Pepe is a name most people are familiar with that is why I am not surprise to see $Pepe with this insane rune, it is likely going to be this cycle $Shiba,if the price continue to pump it would continue to push all other Pepe coins and associated Memes up in price
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Copy Cats of Top Memecoins: Do people deserve a second chance? on: June 03, 2024, 05:35:16 PM
Most people just feel all you need to do is to create a Memecoin and it would do good, the successful Memecoins in the space are inside job and a real cordinated effort by some people to pump these Memecoins, this is why from every 100 of tokens created daily only selected few of them make it to $1 million Market cap. If you don't understand the game don't play it
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LUNB Terra on Base (social coin) on: June 03, 2024, 05:29:24 PM
This LunaB will be worse than original Luna, Luna initial was designed to back StableCoin which helps the price on the way up, this one is purely a Meme or pure Scam. I know Luna will utimately fall but if the designed has been tilted and other factors considered the impact would have not been that great, I lost great deal of money in the Luna Crash that I needed to start all over again
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very HOT NOTCOIN [NOT] on: May 31, 2024, 07:33:46 PM
I am very bullish on the coin, my thought was that the price will go lower than $0.004 before the pump, I like the way Telegram team goes about their thing, they make less noise and allowed their work to speak for them, if $Pepe can reach $5 billion marketcap, NOTCOIN will hit $5 billion Mcap is it just a matter of time. I have confidence in the team to deliver a sound V2 of their project, advising people not to fade TON ecosystem project this bull market
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any airdrops you are anticipating this year? on: May 31, 2024, 07:27:01 PM

For now i also still finding airdrops that has a decent token allocation for our task, most of the airdrops this days is also need a lot of task before we become eligible in receiving thier coins, we need to joined their all social media channel and like thier platforms, project's etc., so airdrops for now is a kind of task unlike before, im ok with that as long as we can receive good amount of tokens.

by doing a lot of tasks to fulfill the requirements to get an airdrop, it really takes time to achieve that desire, actually we really hope that with so many airdrop events we will win it. with the many airdrops that we participate in, maybe we have to be careful because many of them are scams, it's hard to get it. it takes effort who are persistent in completing this task.

Of course airdrop do takes a lot of time before you can achieve your desire, is just like this tapswap that has been trending in the social media both out side the social media platform, you needed to see how people are rushing to participate in this airdrop, even those people who don't have any understanding about cryptocurrency participated in this airdrop. they always move with this theory that since they missed notcoin that this is another opportunity so they need to utilize them, I guess many people here must have heard about such airdrop.

This is a problem now, there are more Airdrops than actual users, most of these people are farming these tokens to move to the next one, the Airdrop game is becoming a crowded one and we are seeing from the recent performnce of new tokens listing on the market their prices dumped immediately because those that are supposed to be the potential buyers have gotten these tokens free of charge. I'm only waiting for few ones to perform well
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOG- A memecoin on Bitcoin Blockchain on: May 31, 2024, 07:20:28 PM
The thing about Bitcoin tokens is that if the project was able to gain the support of the Bitcoin community it would be big, there are a lot of rich Bitcoiners that are now throwing their weight behind some of these Altcoins and Meme tokens on the platform, I won't write this of, especially during the bull run proper
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Launchpads are profitable in terms of investing. on: May 31, 2024, 07:17:39 PM
Yes, launchpads are ways to make real profit but the influx of these launchpad paltform recently is a concern. The exchanges launchpad are better because they do not offer any vesting terms unlike some of these stand alone launchpads, most oftheir tokens are low float, high FDV before the tokens are fully released you would have been diluted.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Markethive Takes a Big Step Towards Listing Hivecoin on Crypto Exchanges on: May 31, 2024, 06:54:42 PM
This is the first time I come across this project with all the hype surrounding Socialfi recently also unable to find any data about the project, like the daily average users (DAV). I have a feeling Socialfi will likely do well this cycle because of how people flocks to them Friend.tech is a very good example, since Crypto need this killer app. I will be following the project because there is a reward for following and buying into good project early
