We better hope that BTC starts to perform soon then, as the alt market will be going nowhere, no matter what good news or developments we have. That is the peril of being tied to BTC, all prices are a reflection of BTC performance. Saying that, things should be a bit better soon.

It is more of a marketing tool and a way to bring more people into cryptocurrency. The barrier to entry is too high for the vast majority of people, most don't understand what crypto is, let alone know how to mine or make deposits from coinbase etc. It is all a massive faff and the average person is bewildered by it all. Enter an all one wallet and mining simulation that anyone can download and use on their phone, getting a bit of education along the way. It can reach a huge (mainstream) audience of people, and will definitely be improved in the near future. They have plans for NFC payments, mobile phone bill subsidisation, payment gateways and I expect a great deal more than we know about. The coins people gain in the background with next to no resources necessary, will soon have a purpose. They will amass over time and hopefully grow in value too, then people will be able to spend them on various things, pay towards mobile data, convert to fiat or from fiat to ETN on the fly...all within the app. That is their eventual goal.

They never promised a crazy number of coins from the mining, there could potentially be millions of users if it does go viral. They have not even really started the marketing yet..and they will! So the number of coins gained is actually quite reasonable when you think about it. What amounts to little value now, could be much more in the future. It does not cost you anything to have it running, not even effort, so why complain? Might as well do it and add a few coins to your larger investment, if you made one.

That is not quite right. Pretty much every coin lost two thirds or three quarters of its value since early January. You neglect to mention that as an ICO coin, it is still one of the most successful and it is still in profit for investors. While the vast majority of other ICO coins are well below investment price.

It's also a new project, pretty much still at the start as far as plans are concerned. You can't measure any projects success by it's value right now. As they are all tied to BTC and BTC has failed to impress since the start of the year. The value of all coins are a reflection of BTC performance. The sooner alts can be untethered from btc in the markets...the better.

If you have seen the document that Electroneum recently shared on Facebook, you'll realise that there is a lot to come, alongside marketing. They are really pushing to make ETN the standard for a real world usable cryptocurrency. They have issues and setbacks of course but show me a coin/token that doesn't?

You have to measure success right now by achievements rather than the value, they have one of the largest user bases / communities in Crypto. They have done more in terms of forging partnerships and making ETN a usable currency that pretty much any other project.

If you measure success by the price then everything has failed, you may as well just cash in your investments and find something else to put your time and money into. The market will take time to recover, and ETN is a long-term investment. Your long history of negativity towards Electroneum isn't going to help, the moaning is getting a bit tiresome.

Fixed that for you, I don't believe you meant to say it will fail. It is an extremely promising project, with a real-world use case, not another empty coin launch with no actual purpose. I am pretty excited about the future of Globcoin myself.

Now Binance is making the news for illegally operating in Japan. There really is no perfect exchange. At some point or another there will be issues or bad news. It's just how it is. We all use them at our own risk though. With crypto being unregulated, everything carries some risk. Binance is a good exchange, I enjoy using it. I'm under no illusion that things won't/can't go bad at anytime though.

It seems that some people get a different hash with the same phone. Must be something that causes it but I can't pinpoint it. I was getting a terrible hash rate on my S8+,  around 15 while my brother was getting near 50. I changed my ROM via XDA and I'm now getting 25-30 at all times. So it could be firmware related. I thought I was getting punished for rooting my device lol.

A factory reset might help, but it is a hassle just for a single app.

I also had that issue of it disconnecting. When I went from 4G to WiFi or vice versa. However, since I started using my vpn on phone too, I don't have that problem anymore. Hopefully they are aware of the issues and will be working on them. It is freshly launched after all. We should expect many updates over the year.

Don't even bother responding to him. There is even a warning about this guy in the ANN first post. The fact that he went on to call it a shitcoin in his last post means he isn't worth the effort. Half of Cryptopia's current user base was brought in through ETN and the volume has been great since launch, despite the crashing market.  If they removed it, it would be their loss. There are other options and there will surely be more later down the line too.

Everything is tied to BTC, if BTC falls or fails to impress then it brings down all the alts with it, as we have seen for the past few months. So yeah, the recent rise in the alt market was caused by a rising BTC, same for every other coin out there. Nothing is going to increase exponentially if BTC is struggling. The sooner the market is detached from BTC the better, so all coins can rise or fall on their own merit and have their own price, no matter how good or bad BTC is performing.

Those are all common things in crypto, there are no real set rules or regulations. Also, they have sent multiple emails about the Cryptopia issues, even though that is something they have no control over.

Good luck with that, you will surely lose a lot of money by taking them to court. You have a right to be upset but...is that not taking it a step too far? If you are that aggravated by it, I would recommend not investing in cryptocurrency at all, it is like the wild west in this market my friend. There is good potential for profit, but also for losses, hacks, fraud and plenty of drama. It is not for everyone. You have to know the risks before getting involved.

I read this when I received an email from them. Good to see Worldcore getting some media attention. I am sure the future can be bright for WRC, despite the drop in value and difficult market conditions of late.

It all depends on BTC really, if we get a recovery then alts will rise again. Mothership is one of my favourite projects and I'm sure it can be a success. It's just a shame that everything is tied to BTC rather than fiat. It's way too volatile. Everything should have its own price and perform based on its own merits.

Totally agree with this, far too many people don't care about the project and the teams ambitions. Many just expect instant returns and get angry when it doesn't work out that way. I always saw Electroneum as something long-term, I didn't go in expecting massive profits in the first few months. I invested because I was interested in what they wanted to achieve, and I wanted to be a part of it.

Crypto wasn't created to be useless but tradable asset to purely make people money, it was designed as a currency to be used. They are working on making that a reality, and in some countries it could potentially be a game changer.

I'm not worried about price in the current market conditions. It will take some time before we see if ETN will  be a success or not.  It's way too early to pass judgement or label them a failure. Getting over a million users is a remarkable achievement in the fairly limited crypto world. I am happy for them to take their time and build something over the next year or so.

I agree. I don't like the rich get richer and the less well off investors getting shafted talk. It's too late for changes anyway, not that many drops left. Better to maintain the status quo and keep the community happy. We don't need any drama. After the airdrops the focus will be on the project and development and hopefully future exchanges and marketing. I don't see what changing things for a month or so will achieve, apart from annoying  many people already invested in BTX.

You make a lot of sense, lots of people are down because of the fall in price and want to vent their frustration. Trouble is, it's not just Titanium. Every project thread is becoming increasingly more depressing.

Titanium team handled the situation as best they could, it's not ideal of course but these things can happen. I remain positive that TBAR has a good future ahead of it, and when the market is less volatile and all this crap is left in the past, we should start to see some real progress. I think it's better to focus on what Titanium is and can be, rather than the hack and other issues dominating the conversation at the moment.

I agree, it is not a wise idea to hold all your investments on an exchange. Only for trading purposes. Anything can happen, you don't have any control over the exchange wallet security. I would be especially cautious holding coins long-term on a relatively new exchange like kucoin.

If people must do it, for whatever reason, it is best to divide the assets over a few different exchanges. Should something happen to one, you won't lose everything you have. Still don't recommend it.

I am invested in BTX and I do believe it is only the beginning. Plenty of time to secure partnerships and achieve success going forward. Once the airdrop is out of the way, the real work can/should begin. Well, I hope so at least.
