101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 19, 2024, 08:59:12 PM
I am not entirely sure if Real Madrid played that well. I mean it is obvious that Manchester City played much better, and they had like 33 shots, and looking at the result Real Madrid still managed to knock them off. Which shows you that sometimes it is not really about how "well" you play, but your strategy means something as well.
Looks like it was your first time seeing Ancelotti's Real Madrid play in a big CL match. Go check out the previous huge matches where they made comebacks. They like catching teams on the break and it works most of the time.

Real Madrid defended the whole game, and they didn't really try to score at all, they were fine with penalty shootout and they just focused on that and won thankfully, I feel like they played terrible. City on the other hand played much much better, and yet they still lost and that must say something about their style, if they are incapable of scoring out of 30 shots, then there is something wrong with the team.
If they didn't try to score, then how did the first goal come about. Yes they may have had fewer shots on target, but they did try to catch City on the break at times
102  Economy / Exchanges / Re: In what cases does Binance asks for source of funds ? on: April 18, 2024, 09:57:09 PM
In what cases does this happen and how to avoid it ?
You avoid this to reducing usage of such centralized exchanges. There are a number of alternatives that won't ask for KYC or source of funds in case you are trying to make a trade or swap. It doesn't matter how careful or perfect you are, once you keep using a centralized exchange for your daily transactions. At one point, they will flag one of your transactions and ask for the source of funds, and you will be forced to obey their orders if you want your money back.
103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tracking inside of CEXs on: April 18, 2024, 09:46:01 PM
In addition, I would recommend arkhamintelligence.com because they can trace any coins.
Including Monero (or any other privacy focused chains)? I am really very curious to know if they trace such transactions without breaking a sweat.
104  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tracking inside of CEXs on: April 18, 2024, 01:49:29 PM
You will see as much on-chain data as you want, but once you reach the CEX level. The transactions are mostly internal (off-chain) and you can't access such data unless you write to an exchange with a very strong reason and probably a court order.

You can also track exchange hot wallet and cold wallet addresses, but the transactions are pretty random, and I am not sure what you might be trying to achieve.
105  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Benefit of non additional charge on: April 18, 2024, 01:41:50 PM
For someone who is using Bitcoin to avoid paying higher fees for international transaction it is better to send them through an exchange as the receiver will be trading to their local currency on receipt of the bitcoins. It should not however be used to store funds for an extended period of time, only amounts that are being sent back and forth.
I have never used coinbase for my crypto to fiat transactions, but I have a feeling the fee is way high when converting fiat to due to those hidden slippage rates and their service fees. I prefer doing P2P, where I could even get better deals if the liquidity is high enough,

Indeed, Bitcoin transaction fees are so cheap and become very meaningful when one is transferring huge amounts of money with fewer inputs. Imagine sending across BTC worth $1M for just less than $2 worth in fees  Smiley
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana Shatters Records: Over 2000 TPS Achieved! on: April 17, 2024, 02:38:51 PM
These congestions where expected to come and to be properly handled by the Solana team such as Ethereum did when it suffered congestion when it was an up and coming coin as well. Have you been in the crypto space longer then 10 years? Ethereum when it faced congestion was a whole Sh!t show and Solana has proven to handle this much much better then Ethereum did when it appeared to them. Everyone trying to fork Ethereum and all the blood bath internally. If you have been around long enough you would know this congestion isn't even worth of mentioning while we are maintaining focus on Solana's TPS, ETH suffered congestion while offering way less TPS???
I have been around. Probably much longer than you. I was a very good user of ethereum back in the day and I haven't used it for ages, so yes I know what happened when there was congestion but trying to compare it with growing and unstable networks like solana is sick

The reason it was hard to make a quick decision to address the high fee and congestion issue was probably because Ethereum was way more decentralized back in the day (POW) than solana is today(POS). You don't just wake up and make the amendments without getting full support of the community.

Care to know why Forks take some time to be implemented on a network like Bitcoin? It's because of a huge level of decentralization. Not like small chains such as solana where one wakes up with an idea and within a week changes are made  Grin
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market lost over $400 billion in two days, indicates Iran Israel issue on: April 17, 2024, 02:14:48 PM
I am not gonna read your article since the main purpose seems to just look for clicks here but attributing the recent market correction to the Israel–Iran issue is illogical. I don't think anyone with experience in crypto market is shocked about the recent market correction. This was bound to happen at one point after the recent rally. In fact, it isn't even huge compared to the past market correction. Not every market move is connected to something political or war. Let's be real for once.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana Shatters Records: Over 2000 TPS Achieved! on: April 17, 2024, 02:07:27 PM
Big news in the blockchain world as Solana has officially surpassed the 2000 TPS mark, making a bold statement in the ongoing race for scalability! This puts Solana not just ahead of other major cryptos but also challenges traditional payment processors like credit card companies in terms of transaction speed.
Isn't this the same network that has had issue or network congestion a few days back on top of countless outages?

Quote
What’s more, while BNB shows high TPS, its centralization is a concern. Solana’s feat is significant as it combines high throughput with decentralization, something we've been advocating for a long time.
There isn't any much difference between BNB and Solana when it comes to centralization. Both use a proof of stake protocol that is favors centralization more.

With Ethereum priced at $3k but managing only around 62 TPS max, and Bitcoin at about 11 TPS, can we start speculating? Could we see Solana hit a $3k price point soon? What are your thoughts?
Ethereum's problems are well known. Everyone is trying to avoid those high fees. Same with Bitcoin especially with the ordinal turmoil but if we are to speak about the most secure and decentralized network. Nothing beats Bitcoin and you know that.
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 14, 2024, 09:58:08 PM
Roma had the opportunity to win a position in the top four if they really won the match in Week 32, but unfortunately the match had to be postponed towards the end of the match because one of Roma's defenders collapsed. The match which is still 1-1 does not benefit either team, but it will clearly benefit Roma because they have the chance and opportunity to win the match after it was postponed.

Roma's point gap would be 1 point with Bologna if Roma won against Udinese, but unfortunately the match had to be stopped. This is a good policy to be appreciated by the referee when one of the players really has to fight with illness during the match. Roma should be grateful, of course it will also benefit them.
I noticed from the results that the match had been abandoned. I had no idea why, but from this I have got to learn it was due to an Illness. I would however love to get a clarification. Given that the match was abandoned, will they have to play it a fresh in the near future, or both teams will just share a point from tonight's result?

I have never gotten to know what exactly is decided whenever a match is abandoned under such circumstances of illness.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Paldo.io — Farm Airdrops, the Easier and Safer Way on: April 14, 2024, 09:32:45 PM
My question is, how do you ensure that the listed airdrops are not phishing scams aimed at stealing user funds once they try to check for "eligibility" by connecting the wallets to the website?
So many phishing sites out there. I have seen quite a number of them?

Wouldn't also be good to include proof that the airdrop has been announced somewhere by the official project? Like a link to the tweet, Reddit post or medium article?
111  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 14, 2024, 09:17:37 PM
I'm not sure if we'll see bitcoin fees going way down in the future, at least short term with a lot more activity happening in the network like ordinals and soon runes I think we may see a raise, there's the halving too
But not so long ago, Bitcoin transaction fee rate had dropped below 10 sats/vbyte which was a pretty good fee rate for consolidating inputs.

I don't know, but it's always good to have alternatives with lower fees, like even DOGE or TRX, these are hated by many but can save a lot when moving via L1
Roobet has the alternatives too. Ripple, Tron, Doge, LTC etc. The fees are very negligible. All one has to do is meet the minimum withdrawal amount.

I really wish people would stop being cheap and use a damn escrow on here. You could have protected your $140 for a few more dollars. If the seller refuses escrow then you know not to deal with them.
There are even some members offering the escrow services to the community for free. It amazes me how people trust strangers with no single reputation without hesitation.
113  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BingX supports Iranian users, despite sanctions: on: April 13, 2024, 12:54:50 PM
Will assets on BingX be safe? What's your take on this?
Assets can never be 100% safe in a centralized exchange. It doesn't matter how big, or reputable the exchange is. One day something awkward can happen and boom the funds will be gone in a matter of minutes.
If you must, only keep funds that you use for day trading there. The rest, move it to secure external wallets.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Proof of Scam ? on: April 13, 2024, 12:48:37 PM
The whitepaper does not talk about Segwit, Taproot, RBF, CPFP, trading bitcoin and so many other things, and therefore it should be a scam! What a stupid kind of logic you have there, OP 🙌
You surely don't deserve bitcoin. Go back to the cave you crawled out from.

115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHY THIS SHIT IS NOT GROWING? DAMN YOU Decentraland Token! WHY I AM SO UNLUCKY? on: April 13, 2024, 11:41:22 AM
WHY THIS SHIT IS NOT GROWING? Decentraland Token!
WHY ME? WHY I AM SO UNLUCKY? GOD PLEASE TELL ME!

Don't repeat my mistakes. Look how I managed to invest in this shit! I bought this shit more expensive than the current rate

Look how Bitcoin has grown and how this shit is creeping!
You already have an answer to your question. You should have bought bitcoin instead of the shit!

But I guess you wanted to become a millionaire overnight, right?

Quote
Can you imagine what will happen to this shit when the Bitcoin correction begins?
Just move on, mate. I hope it's a lesson learned. Most shitcoins die off over time.

I reading news about the trend for meme coins, halving and all that. Where am I going to get money for meme-cons when I have everything invested in this shit?
You wanna burn more money in meme-cons? Good luck.

Quote
What was happened with this stupid metaverses? They screwed us all over with metaverses, as NFTs. The hype is gone. Now meme-coins are trendy
Same thing that happened to the ICO, ITO, STO, IDO hype. If you are too slow or greedy, you lose all the money to the smart ones.

Moderator. If I made topic in wrong section, please move it to the appropriate section. I don't know where I may publish my experince about this shitcoin called MANA, the native token of scamland decentraland
Yeah, this is the wrong board to discuss altcoins. You can also move it to altcoin discussion. The button is on the bottom left side of your page.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 12, 2024, 09:58:51 PM
Erik Ten Hag won't be replaced, he still remains the best man for Manchester United.
Best man for Manchester United... Wow!
Quote
Take a look around, who do you think is capable of replacing him? Graham Potter? Gareth Southgate? These names mentioned are fucking twats and they have nothing good to offer the club.
Is that the best list of potential replacement coaches that came across your mind?  Grin
Quote
And why expect sso much from a manager that had seen almost everybody in his squad out Injured?
From defenders to midfielder's and them finally to the attackers, Erik Ten Hag did good last season but he lacked players who helped him build from the back at the start of the season.
Same manager made all the once good performing players look like shit right now. Forget about injuries. It's not like United is the only team to get injured players. Crazy excuse.
117  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kulboi123 is a Scammer - BEWARE on: April 12, 2024, 09:47:53 PM
I looked at his profile and it says he is a "trusted" seller.  What clues am I not seeing?
Where does it say trusted seller, though?

I looked through his profile and not even a single person gave him any positive feedback.

You didn't have to create another topic, though, How I wish you had just edited the current one and just made additions. Anyway, I am looking through the information you just posted in the other thread and will tag the account shortly if everything checks out.

The OP's mistake was trusting an old business dealer. According to what the OP stated above, he has been dealing with the user for some years now, so this is not the first deal; others have been successful, but this last one that warranted this thread was the wrong deal.
A similar thing happened to Dillt last year. He didn't report the scam, but if I was in OP's position and I see such feedback, even if it's untrusted. I will stop dealing with the user or probably use escrow,
118  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Kulboi123 is a Scammer - BEWARE on: April 12, 2024, 09:20:52 PM
How do I proceed to get him banned or an infraction or something?

I dont expect to get my money back but how can I make it so that others are not scammed by him as well?
He won't be banned as the forum does not moderate scam, but we can tag his account if the evidence that he scammed you is sufficient. Please follow what @goldkingcoiner suggested and make a good report.

Also normalize reading through feedback left by other users before dealing with anyone here. The clues that he would scam you were already there on his profile
lovesmayfamilis    2021-01-15    Reference    All his started themes are copied. Plagiarist.
Dillt    2023-12-05        He's a scammer. At first everything may be fine, but then he takes money, then stops responding.

Secondly, the ANN is locked. There is another red flag. Scammers lock their threads so that the people they have scammed won't be able to post in their threads, warning other users.
119  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which CEX do you trade derivatives/futures on? on: April 12, 2024, 08:52:46 PM
I have mostly used Bybit in the past due to their good user interphase especially the mobile app but got disappointed with their stupid extra verification requirements and withdrew everything.

Right now I use a combination of OKX, Binance and phemex.

MEXC for brand-new shitcoin derivatives. This one is a real casino  Grin
120  Other / Meta / Re: AI generated content by newbies on: April 11, 2024, 05:11:18 PM
I'm personally not against such a feature, but... To have posts automatically scanned, you need to choose a service that will do this. Today, almost all services for detecting content written by AI are far from perfect. Which one should you choose if all of them can produce erroneous detection? There will be a large number of threads on Meta with outrage from users who disagree with their posts being labeled as AI-written. At one time, by the way, I gave examples of AI text detection services mistakenly recognizing innocuous text as AI text.
Maybe the tool can just help flag off the posts that are potentially AI generated, and then the mods can cross-check those few posts with a couple of other available AI tools. Or even go through the User's history to check for potential AI generated posts before issuing a warning, deleting or banning the user.

What I know is that this will increase the workload on Mods. Perhaps the forum could introduce a special task force of Mods who will be dealing with AI related posts, just like the forum formed the cryptios team to deal with account recoveries?
