101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in your ability to earn more. on: August 27, 2020, 01:09:38 PM
With your skills you can earn. You can earn without any hard work. For that you need to be a crypto investor. You have to keep in mind that you will benefit if you invest in a coin or token by constantly monitoring the market. No experience is required for this. You just have to understand the market signal. Again you can invest in exchanger on any new token.
I want to be a good investor.
Do you want to be a good investor? Do you agree with me?
Entry and exit points are really important if you want to be a good investor or trader. Some people think that to be a longterm hodler entry price does not matter but i think entering at better prices will get you in profit sooner and potentially yield much bigger profit for you so it is very important.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can new crypto beat Eth in the market? on: August 26, 2020, 08:25:33 PM
There are many crypto token listed in coinmarketcap and been traded in top exchanges like binance, Yobit and lDex exchange which people consider as proficient enough in the cryptocurrency market and knowing well that Eth is ranking number 2 position in the coinmarketcap, let's discuss Do you think that any new crypto currency overtake Eth in times of price value can that be possible?
It is next to impossible at the moment because with eth rebranding and big upgrades coming it will again become the best in its class and all other copy cats and competitors will stay way behind, I am sure Eth will grow huge in demand and value with all these upgrades so november december this year can be big for eth.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to escape loss as an altcoin trader on: August 26, 2020, 06:45:23 PM
I want to assume that there are few people, who make several profits from trading altcoins, but sell their profit to bitcoin, and then over time while holding bitcoin, it dumps and their profits dips alongside bitcoin.

Why not do it this way ?
Since you trade mostly in altcoins, as soon as your make your profits, sell them to stable coins or fiats, close that trade chapter.

If you are passionate about hodling bitcoin, always convert to usdt or other stable coins and be patient for a fair entry point. Because the market isn't running away

What do you think everyone ? is there a better pattern that can be practiced?

I am open to more suggestions.
You are right and as far as i know most traders have already moved to usdt or other stablecoin pairs just to confirm the profits.
New traders coming for other financial markets like forex or commodity also trade usdt pairs because they want to be clear about their regular profits.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What DeFi projects are your radar this week? on: August 26, 2020, 06:01:58 PM
I do not think that it is wise to keep looking for new defi projects every week, it is better to find reputed projects that have delivered and are successfully running their business models, despite keep looking for new projects that can be highly risky it is better to wait for better entry in established defi tokens.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT TYPE OF CRYPTO INVESTOR ARE YOU? on: August 19, 2020, 11:05:14 AM
There are different types of investors with varying priorities goals, habits, and tolerance of risk. Read this thread to know the type of crypto investor you are.

1. Newbie: In any industry you must first be a newbie before you become a pro. To get started with crypto you need a little capital to start. This group include those with a little or no knowledge about the crypto industry but eager to seek to diversify their investments into new high risk assets that offer a good return

2. Crypto Enthusiast: Like a newbie, the crypto enthusiast joined the market not long ago and still doesnt have enough knowledge about the crypto industry although he has built a diversified portfolio which he checks their performance everyday.

3. Hodler: They are people who will rather hold any crypto no matter the ups and down they believe one day it will get to their desired price

4. Early Adopter: The early adopter are people who got into bitcoin when it was less than $100 about some few years ago. At that time everyone thought bitcoin was a scam but they took the courage to buy some because they believed in the technology.

5. Professional Trader: These guys have seen crypto trading as a part time or full time job. They dont have concern with holding cryptos for a long time. Their main and only goal is short term profits.

What type of investor are you? Im definitely an HODLER
I try to adopt to the situation mostly, i am good at trading but my main assets are built by accumulating and hodling and even now my most of the hodling bags include eth, btc, ada, neo, waves and aion etc.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why You Think That Your Coin/Token Will Grow? on: August 18, 2020, 09:42:34 PM
Hey.

I researched very much in the net. I read numerous comments in the blogs. I saw to much messages in the telegram groups. and discord forums

and I found that most of the people really don't know why they chose their coin/token. just they know their coin is good and the future is belongs to them.

The Question Is: Why You Think That Your Coin/Token Will grow? (based on what?)
If we talk about general public or common investors if they invest in a coin, even if they get in a wrong coin they will still praise it everywhere. Obviously because they jave invested and now they want to see its price growing so they do not have any other option so they try to shill the coin everywhere.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $XTP - Tap Global Will Become Next Big Crypto Payment Card on: August 18, 2020, 09:01:36 PM
I hope this service will deliver I am saying this because i have seen many services like these that claim to provide crypto to fiat and vice versa payment solutions and also a crypto card but to be honest market still lacks a truly global solution. Most of these services are limited to certain countries or regions only.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Oracles: Connecting the Worlds on: August 18, 2020, 07:44:01 PM
It is amazing to see that how well these blockchain oracles based projects are received by the market, they have become an instant hit and they have proven to be significant role players in blockchain and crypto ecosystem and that is the reason for the continuous demand and success of these projects.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which site do you use to get fresh updates on different projects event on: August 18, 2020, 07:10:21 PM
It's an easy way to make money if someone trades based on different event I think. But when I got the news, I can not entry at early point. So, which site do you use to get event update of different projects? Is there any app which can notify you before 15 days of an event? I would like to get all the possible ways to get such event update. Please share which one do you use.
Reddit and twitter are enough my friend especially if you have subscribed to the right subreddits in case of reddit and following right persons in case of twitter. You will not need anything else and the best thing is you can browse them from your phone all day long.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This beach resort is accepting Ethereum!!! on: August 12, 2020, 06:35:41 PM
Holy smokes! Look at this guys!

Source: https://decrypt.co/?p=38262

Imagine if COVID-19 pandemic is no more and having travel plans to South Korea, we could visit this beach and pay Ethereum for entrance fee, etc. I just wish that this is not going to be the only beach resort to adopt Ethereum for payments.

Here in the Philippines, there are so many beaches and hidden paradise here. I just hope that one day these beaches around the world are going to adopt Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.
This is just a single resort while with the use of travala or other crypto based travel and booking apps you can pay with crypto at thousands of locations including hotels, resorts and motels.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's your favourite coin and token ? on: August 12, 2020, 04:44:44 PM
what are the coins or tokens that you hold at the moment and explain why you choose that
hope this can help others in choosing what cryptocurrency is good for hold and has a bright future  ☺️ .
personally I invest in XLM and XRP , is both coin are good as a long-term investment ?
I like both stellar and ripple as you have posted. But my major portfolio consists of btc and ethereum.
Among tokens i like power ledger, utrust, crypterium and change.
I am sure with next bull run all my holdings will moon.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So every dead project that adding "DeFi" to its name, pumping 100000% ? on: August 12, 2020, 04:09:21 PM
What the hell?

every dead project, with no development team that add's defi to his name, get a 100000% pump?

That's the Defi Hype season?
No doubt defi wave has been bigger than expected and many projects are trying to use defi in their project somehow. I have even seen ico projects claiming to be defi after seeing the hype around defi and this thing is still growing and does not seem to end.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The United States blocked Tiktok and Wechat, the era of decentralized VPN is com on: August 11, 2020, 02:45:41 PM
Despite the fact that these things and such news will result in overall positive impact on many crypto projects and their demand and price can increase exponentially. In my opinion, there was no need to give bad taste to global peace and environment and this simply signifies that the diplomacy at global level is failing and perhaps the major reasons include intolerant leadership in big countries.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ? on: August 11, 2020, 12:53:21 PM

What if, for example - like after that twitter hack - the President wakes up (in a bad mood) and decides with an executive order to make all crypto illegal in the USA?

Of course this probably will never happen in today's world, as the there is big money is invested into crypto currencies; but do you ever think that it is even remotely possible...

Or the next elected president is so "old school" and decides that crypto needs to go?

I don't mean only America, what about in your country; do think that a future ban on crypto currencies is ever possible in your country?
In my country they are not clearly allowing or banning the use of cryptocurrencies, maybe because clear policy and rules regarding crypto have still not surfaced from govt or its institutions.
I do however see pro crypto people in govt ranks so i am hopeful pro crypto policies will soon emerge and they will encourage more people to enter crypto with massive investments.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: August 11, 2020, 12:06:08 PM
Please there's something I really want to understand about this crypto industry because at times as a newbie in this cryptocurrency industry you might get this wrong by making more mistakes in crypto. Does crypto name really matter before it become successful?
It depends on a lot of factors and obviously name is one of them.
A relevant, short, to the point, easy to remember and something that tells about the project in one word will definitely add value to the proje t and make it more attractive and worthwhile.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinbase explorations on: August 06, 2020, 12:11:01 PM
I do not have any information but definitely insider information works for all major businesses and people at authoritative posts they do take advantage either directly or indirectly but it does happen all around the world and it cannot be stopped, i guess.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you invested for a Switzerland project already listed on exchanges? on: August 06, 2020, 10:24:29 AM
I do not think that location adds anything special especially when we are talking about decentralized, borderless assets like cryptocoins even most projects have their developer teams in different locations of the world so selling a coin on basis of location does not really make sense.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is happening around STO? on: August 06, 2020, 08:03:23 AM
Seriously STO ( Security Token Offering ) has every legal evidence you could ever hoped for from new ICO and IEO projects, I'm just curious and surprised at the same time why STO projects aren't doing so well, they always failed to raise fund successfully even when they are more legit than others, what do you think it's happening with STO? Why so much failures?
May be due to complications and regulators interference in the past like dozens of cases in SEC investors are cautious at the moment but situation will get better with time, US congress is also working on comprehensive crypto policy once that comes up we will see market booming and i think that will be time when STOs will start getting attention.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The IRS Wants to Track & Trace Privacy Coins and the LN on: August 05, 2020, 07:43:55 PM
According to a news article from decrypt, the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) wants to have the ability to track & trace privacy-oriented cryptocurrencies like Monero and Zcash, as well as, Bitcoin's Lightning Network. Chainalysis is a well-known blockchain data collection company, which could give more power to the IRS with its surveillance tools. Imagine if they develop something to track and trace privacy coins and BTC's LN. It would greatly defeat crypto's anonymity and the ability to remove the middleman from the system. While I have nothing against paying taxes to the government, the fact that they can trace my transactions just as they would with banks accounts, greatly defeats crypto's purpose of separating "The State" from "Money".

What do you think the outcome of privacy coin and LN surveillance will be? Will the IRS be successful at spying on people's transactions in the future? Do you think other countries' tax agencies will do start doing the same? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
If it will be done to stop crime or tracing criminals then it will be ok, it will even be ok if they want to confirm the issues related to taxes but for anyother purpose they should not use it and i think even if they do so new coins will come up that they will not be able to track or the older coins will also implement some upgrades to fail the agencies, who knows lets just wait and see.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum scaling issues – can Avalanche solve it? on: August 05, 2020, 06:41:06 PM
Ethereum is a very famous project and first choice for new projects – ERC 20 standard.
But Ethereum scaling is limited currently. Vitalik plans to launch Ethereum 2.0 but it is delayed again and again. It is simply very difficulty to move a whole cryptocurrency, existing for 5 years now, to a completely different chain.

New projects are being founded to solve scalability while decentralization is still supported (because decentralization is important) and solve what Ethereum also tries to solve.

A good approach is Avalanche [AVAX] founded by Professor Emin Gun Sirer of Cornell University. It will be recently launched, mainnet is expected to be live end of August.
Avalanche is an open-source platform based on a novel consensus protocol using leaderless Byzantine fault tolerance to reach consensus.
It will be used for launching highly decentralized applications and enabling almost instant payments of confirmation times of only 2 seconds.

Avalanche test net was successfully tested in June and achieved 4.5k transactions per seconds: https://medium.com/avalabs/the-denali-incentivized-testnet-recap-over-1-000-block-producing-validators-a-shoebox-node-and-3b6c95956a09

Ethereum is 5 years ahead, so no easy task for Avalanche at all. Test net has already shown it is working but can Avalanche also catch up Ethereum 5 years ahead?
What do you expect?

As far as i know avalanche is a separate project and it is nice to know that they are working on a high tech blockchain network but untill that develops fully I am sure ethereum network would have came up with their own eth 2.0 upgrades that will solve the scaling issues and then ethereum will truly dominate the market.
